The British Destroyed the Complex of Caves in Wessagiri

They consisted of a massive complex of stone caves.
This was situated near Anuradhapura.
These ancient constructions were painted on or attributed to Vijaya and Mahinda clan which came 5000 years later. They did not built anything significant but quickly substituted their credence on top RAVANA heritage.
British perpetuated this concocted history for over 150 years.
That is the crime of the British.
The British copied the Stone Edits and took them to England. Of course, on the instruction of kings and queens of England, the kingdom in Wesagiri was demolished.
Indians who fear RAVANA mortally helped the British to propagate the new myth.
All the books were published in India and I tend not to believe any Indian publication, long before, I got interested in RAVANA SAGA.
There were nearly 100 stone caves in Wesagiri.
Except a few most were destroyed by the British.
British were interested in building roads.
These guys were Surveyors and not Archaeologists.
All the Stone Edits and statues including Buddha statues were destroyed and were used in the construction of the road.
Tamil labour brought in from the North by British were used to smash these archaeological sites.
Ultimately, the land was given to these Tamils who demolished the ancient relics..
There were over 1000 Stone edits and British only translated about 150.
They are still not available for our perusal.
Wanton destruction by the British.
British were good at distorting the history that preceded their invasion which was RAVANA and the subsequent history of Ceylon.
It is well known saying that, "History is written by the victors and the history of the vanquished was erased"
Our Prehistory was buried in the sand.
Raj Soma Deva who is L.T.T.E. inspired guy is creating an artificial RAVANA story.
His book released is inundated with gross inaccuracies. Jayarathne Pathiraarachchi is exposing them little by little and Soma is already wetting his pants.
Don Carolis Mecelius Wickramasinghe, a Ceylonese student who was studying in England at that time, reported this wanton destruction to British authorities.
He was an ardent Catholic and to soften his heart, as to report to the British authorities,, one can guess the scale of destruction by the British Surveyors.
Ultimately, this destruction was halted in 1898.
British had nearly 70 years for their destruction ploy.
It is a generation of destruction and it is almost half of their occupation in Ceylon.
History written by British should be thrown out of our libraries and TRUE history should be rewritten.
I admire Jayarathne Pathiraarchchi and his efforts should be supplemented.
Unfortunately, guys who are opposing this effort is our own corrupt monks.
With ASAPUWA and MAHAMEVNA losing their grip, the political influence of these monks are fast disappearing.
