Endless OS

Since Endless OS has taken over full control of the hard disk of the my Laptop, I have one option left.

Remove it stick it on a external case and install a new hard disk and additional RAM and boot BSD there for a change.

I hope Endless OS would boot from external case.

Failing which I will use Gparted to format it.

Endless OS is a Debian based Linux distribution with endless supply of free software.

It is based in USA and has a torrent file very difficult to find but direct download is easily traced to the mirror.

I am currently downloading it by torrent and has only 10 peers and no seeders.

Finding a download mirror site was bit difficult.

It simulate a cellphone architecture or tablet.

It has done away with the traditional hiearchial file system which is good for giy who has never used Linux.

All the files are under OStree root file architecture and are arranged according to the way applications are downloaded and not in an alphabetical order.

Bit annoying for me coming from Linux base but once I figured out it is like face of a smart phone started liking it.

It is in fact modified Gnome face and in some ways similar to Gnomes application arrangement but not in an alphabetical order.

Applications activation is slow but once opened works smoothly.

Downloading was very slow and coming from a Ceylonese background of slow Internet it was not a problem.

It takes over your hard disk like BSD and no way of dual booting and one cannot erase it and install another Linux distribution.

One time installation and adding up application on top of it.

Dual or Trible booting is a general standard of mine.

Thankfully it got me out of Number 8 BIOS virus.

Additionally the Laptop had Windows and I erased Windows but BIOS continued to look for windows operating system.

I used BSD to erase the BIOS and install ESP partition for booting.
Even Debian could not erase the Microsoft favoured booting option.

Number 8 boot virus the final irritation that I have to overcome and it is pure Linux now.

It can be installed into a PC but downloading applications (one needs) is bit complicated and slow.

One need to configure the Internet connection like in a cellphone but no SIM is required.

The Dongle or Wincle WiFi connection is all one needs.
.
Ethernet connection is bit simple.

It is slow but I managed to download Deluge and Transmission client and downloaded  Free BSD and Gparted.

It is a novel cellphone experience  using Linux Utilities.

I have already got AbiWord and Libre Office installed.

.I was getting annoyed with Google's application store and endless without a application store or its own fetches the application and deliver it without me searching for it.

Its application arrangement is bit similar to Elementary OS.Thank you Endless OS and I begining to enjoy using it like a cellphone but cellphone does not have AbiEord for me.
