On the Subject of Small Linux

There are two Linux distributions (apart from host of Puppy Linux derivatives)  which I have tested which foot the bill.

One is 4M Linux which has its own unique features.

Image size is 1.3GB

The other which I tested few minutes ago is Refracta Linux. Image size is 1.6GB and it is based on Xfce.

Strangely enough it has AbiWord which is my favorite.

Good luck to Refracta Linux.

Star Linux of Arch is a Monster BUT

Star Linux of Arch is a Monster BUT it cannot configure WiFi or log out of a live session.

This is the very reason I ask the newbies not to try Arch at all. It makes simple things very arduous. They say a professor cannot cross a bridge in our venal language.

My motto is small is beautiful!

In other words, small and functional.

Big (bloat) and dysfunctional belong to Americans.

That is why I carry Puppy Linux in a USB around my neck when I travel abroad.

I prefer Puppy.

Fossa Pup-2020 is much better is a DebainDog distribution.

On that note of WiFi connection Ubuntu is the best in town only second to Puppy Linux.

On that subject of Big Linux, I was trying to download Big Linux (dysfunctional from 2012) Archive Linux and I could not.

FossaDog-2020-64-bit-UEFI

If one wants to test an old Puppy Linux derivative which is 64 bit compatible this is one one should try.

It is available at the archives.

This is the Ubuntu version and it configures the WiFi whereas the BusterPup does not.

I have used Linux MultiSystem Boot utility to install multiple 64 and 32 bit Puppies in 8GB USB.
