Bewildering Array of Note Taking and Office Packages in Linux

There is a bewildering Array of Note Taking and Office Packages in Linux.
I will list a few of them below but my favorite is AbiWord.
1. Calligra Suite of KDE Base
2. Gemini of KDE
3. Only Office
4. Manuscript
5. Focus Writer
6. Notes of Gnome
7. Red Note
8. Feather Notes
9. Basket Note Pads
10. Kwrite
11. Kile
12. Write of Sugar Suite
13. Paperwork
14. Xournal
15. Xoural ++ Handwriting
16. Lyx
17. Plume creator
18. Pluma

But my favorite is Bluefish Editor which is Apahe Based HTML which is in version 5 now.
The best I have used for both coding and crisp text documents. It has Python 2 and 3.
What more one needs.
I do not do any coding now but once in a way look at the coding for fun.
Since then, I have migrated to collaborative AbiWord which is code based in its origin but has improved on all aspects of Word Processing and Formats including PDF which I love.

Looking back, if I stayed with Microsoft Windows what a lot I would have missed?

Me not trying Apple Mac due to its high cost was a blessing in disguise.

Mind you, I started with well organized KDE and migrated to GNOME which has everything under its hood and it is a pain to work on a text document in KDE.

Nevertheless, I have revisited KDE and use it sparingly to see the difference.

Mind you, LibreOffice is the largest application due to Multi-Language support. It is about 1.2GB and only other Application Suite that exceeds that is Google's Android Application Suite.
One thing I do after installing GNOME is to remove all the Multi-Language support for LibreOffice which makes it bulky when editing a text. All these come with Embedded Macros.
I hate Macros and Macros especially of Microsoft Windows carry unintended viruses.
By the OSMO is my personal organizer not Thunderbird which it used to be.
