Pop OS Stinks

Yes, Pop OS. It was out of my Radar from 32 bit ERA. It stinks.

It subservient to Microsoft and leave a 4MB Microsoft DATA LooP for Microsoft snoop on your hard disk. I have never given 3 hours of my time to any distribution. It cannot even configure SWAP. I had 3 SWAP partitions to supplement the RAM since my RAM is only 4GB. I can hold or format only one SWAP partition.

My basic recommendation is minimum of 8GB RAM for a modern Linux Desktop. I should have bought another RAM stick of 4GB. Considering the today's prices they were damn cheap in Ceylon. Besides, with ENDLESS OS running SLOW I thought this Laptop was primitive to upgrade.

But Debian Forky Proved, I was wrong.

It runs smoothly now.

Welcome to MANJARO

I am back with MANJARO after 2 years.

It looks good and I am Installing GNOME Desktop on my Old Laptop.

I have huge 42GB Space expecting to add many other Desktops later.

WiFi is smooth.

Installation is quick.

I would try UPDATES and move to the next distribution install. I hope Manjaro won't have conflicts with CachyOS.

UPDATES were quick and would return later to add my choices including Cutefish.

Next is BIG Linux.

Installation going on smoothly and as I have stated earlier finding the Instal Script was difficult due to heavy graphic inputs

Pantheon Desktop is very attractive.

XivaStudio would not have any space im my Laptop. Reasons I have discussed elsewhere.

Next would be BlueStar Linux my favourite KDE Desktop. It would be given ample space for me to install Blender.
