AV Linux Moksha Linux
My Linux base is always Debian Gnome and MXM Moksha will be one of the other 9 distributions, I already have in my Intel NUC box.
Thank you Bodhi Linux for Moksha Desktop, but I moved to MXM due to my multimedia requirements. I a
Gnome is neither ugly nor beautiful and that is the standard I use as a neutral distribution. There are other beautiful Desktops like, Elive and Enlightenment.
Like Zorin and I would never support Linux Lite which calls itself light but it is not light. Besides, it comes with ugly XFCE. Well KDE Neon, Ubuntu base is much nicer, looking.
MXM is based on AntiX.
Its Kernel 7.0.10-1
It takes less than 10GB of the /root partition of 15GB and I have 5.7GB left for other applications including GNOME Desktop.
I am installing GNOME it took only 300MB.
Blender takes 1.1GB.
GIMP takes 100MB.
VLC takes 200MB.
Audacity takes 100MB
Audacious takes 100MB
Asunder takes 200MB
All audio utilities may be under one folder sharing common GTK utilities.
Handbrake takes 100MB
Deluge takes less than 100MB.
AbiWord took may be 300MB.
LibreOffice takes 1GB.
PDF takes about 100MB.
DeaDBeeF may be 100B.
Palemoon 100MB.
Opera 600MB
Vivaldi 600MB
LibreWolf 500MB
Brave may be 500MB.
Remaining Space is under 1GB and no more software would be added. GNOME is running smoothly on top of Moksha. Moksha Desktop is Beautiful. It is developed by Bodhi Linux which is a Ubuntu Linux Derivative. I do not trust Ubuntu and its future direction.
I used AV Linux in the past because of its Audio and Video media support but gave up because of its slow response to change to the new Debian Kernel.
It looks like it is coming out of slumber.
I really liked Enlightenment Desktop.
ELive is Beautiful but it is stuck with the old kernel and also wants me to pay for its new desktop. I promote Linux but I do not promote monetary ventures that are against Linux Fundamentals.
Linux Lite is also on a monetary course.
Developers also eat rice and curry or hot potatoes. I do not mind donations for maintenance. FOSS has a target but they are always below the targeted estimate. Having a maintenance target is mandatory in this capitalist world. I do not expect innovations from China and Russia. Certainly not from India and Ceylon.
