Final Update on Minimal Desktops

Final Update on Minimal Desktops

It is sad to say most of the minimal desktops do not live up to the standard at 64 bit level

Some them like i# cannot mount a desktop let alone applications on top of them.

Even Abiword is not supported.

My best advice is for somebody to use Puppy Linux to see the real effect in computer life.

Even Budgie has some problems.

No wonder I do not support even KDE, remain within the Gnome boundaries.

What one need to do is to do a customer survey, before adding new application with a glossy front. Both front end of the application and especially the backend should be solid.

Both people and developers are obsessed with with Word Processors padded with Macros (front end), whereas there 100 of light weight text editors (which have used) which do a wonderful job. When I read through my own writing in early 2010 it is obvious I had tried all  them had made a few comments and moved forward with application I really loved, such as V.L.C and Audacity.

I did not bother the desktop except perhaps Gnome.

KDE because of the bulk I have resisted but use Debian based KDE.
