BIOS, CMOS and UEFI

BIOS first.
BIOS means basic input and output.
POST second.
Power on Self Test
Them CMOS.
BIOS chip is non volatile.
CMOS chip is volatile hence it needs a CMOS battery to keep the data intact when the computer is turned off.
UEFI is the modern BIOS.
It is graphical interface that can even use mouse input. It supports large storage devices.
Support Secure Boot.
Old BIOS had to be configured using keyboard and did not support large drives.
