I forgot to a bring few DVDs in addition for the Laptop of my son. He has lost the interest of the Laptop completely which a heavy stuff to carry. I ERASED the Microsoft Windows and it still has lock on USB Booting. I have found ways to bypass Microsoft hegemony. The Laptop belongs to me not to Microsoft.
Coming back to the USB stick, I thought I had used about 8GB and the rest 24GB is not available for use. I could not format it due to the PUPPY images. I copied all the images and it soon filled up my home ditectory of 20GB. On mental arithmetics 500MB for each image and 55 image would by pass 25GB.
It was Puppy images that caused the problem. Soon I formatted the USB and it is good as new. I am transferring them back to the USB to relieve the home directory. Except for 5 all are 32 bits and this 64 bit SAGA killed PUPPY LINUX.
That is what I am going to write in my book. If it killed Linux Star of PCLINUXOS it certainly killed Barry Kaular fans.
File transfer is over to the USB and it says it is over 26GB full. Well I can now delete the PUPPY Images folder in my home directors.
I have no intention of running a Server.
I hope somebody run a Server and I can upload at least the 64 bit images.
Even the Commodore guy with Commodore Linux uses 38GB image and well a Puppy Developer could take the initiative to come up with a image of 32 bit to fill a 32GB USB if not 64GB USB.
