I think it was in 2011 judging by my own blog pieces.
I was hooked to PCLinuxOS and its KDE.
When 64 bits came in Linux Star took a big back step.
That was the beginning of my entry into DEBIAN and I never looked back.
It was the first Debian without proprietary software.
I do not think I ever used Lenny.

PCLinuxOS were my early ENTRY.
I may have used MEPIS with its easy to use graphic Installer. Then slowly moved to Debian.
Simply MEPIS 7 in 2007 was probably my proper entry into Linux Domain 4 years before PCLinux.
I have also tried Mandrake, Suse and Redhat.
Simple MEPIS had the best graphic Installer and currently MX Linux and AV Linux use the MEPIS base which went defunct for no reason.
