This site where Buddha was born is blocked by a Buddha Statue and with huge granite stone by the guys of the Archaeology Department to perpetuate Senath Paranavithanage's bogus story of BRITISH creation. British of course created the Bowatenna Tank in Teldeniya of CEYLON to further cover up Stone Edits in the name of diverting water to Queen Victoria Tank. Gaminie Dissanayake unfortunately was caught up in this SAGA and he had to pay with his life subsequently.

My interest in the past was Mahaveli Nadiya or River. 

My born of contention is why our ancient kings did not divert the Mahaveli River.

The kings of course used the Mahaveli River diversion to protect the Kamdy City from BRITISH invasion.

It was big toll for the BRITISH but John Doyle craftily created a conspiracy to capture Kandy by Divide and Rule Principle.
