I recommend Big Linux with cautious optimism, since I got it to behave the way, I wanted it to be.
It is not goingnto be my Daily Driver.
It is bit confusing.
The Desktop is neither GNOME nor KDE but total mixture.
By strange coincidence, I got Gnome and Plama both booting perfectly OK.
Its behavior is similar to REBORN OS but somewhat confusing.
Desktop manager is SSDM of KDE.
I am going to use it until it crashes.
Getting GNOME is the plus point uptil now.
When I tried last time, I could not figure out how to install and gave up.
What attracted me was the different Desktop apprarnve from classic to vanilla to modern.
It has produced a new ISO Image for the New Year 2026.
This is the first distribution I am trsting for this year.
I am impressed.
The Calamares Installer had made it easier for various distributions to work on their distributions without worrying about the installation antics.
In fact, I tried Ubuntu Studio and the UBUNTU installer took almost 8 hours and could not install it. To recover the partition, I had to install REBORN OS.
I have BlueStar Linux and the rest 3 distribution were all Debian GNOME.
I am using one of the GNOME installer to install Big Linux.
I have to right something good about Big Linux in my book.
Not having tested on a Virtual Machine but after real installation.
By the way, Box Utility did not mount it.
I did not persever, sonce I am going to install it any way.
Hope it would not destroy my GRUB.
It is finishing its installation.
I want to see what applications, it supports.
It looks like it is a KDE Desktop which I HATE.
Booting was verbose but I could not read them.
Desktop looks like Plasma Wayland.
No additional desktops.
Only one file to UPDATE.
Instead of Discover Add and Remove utility is there.
It works and I Remove the KWalletManger I hate.
I would try GNOME desktop which is finiky on top of KDE.
Thankfully, Desktop is GNOME and I am going to add Plasma now.
Box Utility to begin with.
It looks like it is KDE desktop with lot of GNOME utilities.
It is a good try and I am going to promote it.
But let me install real Plasma Desktop to begin with.
