Common Lizards, (Katussas), Lizards, Skinks, Chameleons and our Politicians

Common Lizards, (Katussas), Lizards, Skinks, Chameleons and our Politicians

Except for skink, I had all the visitors of the lizard family to our rooftop garden.

Why?

Some for mating and some for laying eggs and the most to feed on my Guppy fish (who venture out of the three fourth shade and covering I have laid for them as a protection).
Some of them feed on the black bees (a single colony on the retaining wall).
The chameleon unlike the rest are fearless creatures, regard me with all its might and never move an inch from their advantage point, unless I am at hands length.

Nod of the head of their default display, reminds me of our politicians in an international conference (not understanding a word what the speaker is saying).

But the recent events in politics, illustrates the commoner garden saying in our times “Dressing around the neck of gold of a common lizard”.

The lizard does not value it.

Our politicians who grab the Defense Portfolio as a dress (without dress rehearsal for a real crisis) of authority is like a common lizard with a gold chain round its neck.
Mind you all these politicians have gold round their belly.
That is why they struggle to get up after a conference meeting.
