Joli OS and FreedomBox

Update on JoliCloud
This is just to say I have installed JoliOS on my computer and writing through Google's Chrome.
It Looks pretty fast unlike my work horse PCLinuxFullMonty which is temporarily out of commission since JoliCloud could not boot up my Linux since it made a hash of my boot loader.

I have to reinstall  PCLinuxFullMonty TWICE which was bit of a hassle.
Fortunately, I copied all the downloads to my laptop (which is defunct due to battery failure) hard disk already removed and the laptop now resting in the attic, so to speak.

JoliCloud has to work on the Boot loader to satisfy me.

It must beef up its security protocols too.
Overall its performance is as good as any Cloud Service.
Thank you for electing me as a founder member.

Please note the following points in addition.

1. Do not install it on the laptop or desktop till they get a good boot loader.

2. If you are Linux guy or girl use UnetBootIn (which I have described adequately under CloudUSB (Ubuntu 10.04).

One does not need a password if you use UnetBootIn.

3. My cloudUSB stick with a password still works but it gets to its old web site, instead of www.myjolicloud.com.

4. All what you have to do is to go to www,myjolicloud.com and sign up.

5. If you have already signed up just log in.

6. It seamlessly integrates with your email address and all the blog posts.

I have forgotten some of them already.
Initially it integrated with dropbox without me logging into dropbox.
I actually have forgotten the password for dropbox.
When they (dropbox changed its initial contract agreement, I stopped using dropbox) made changes to the initial contract I was hesitant to trust them.

7. I am annoyed with Facebook's nosiness and I deleted it from my page.

8. Make sure you have a powerful password for the EMAIL.
If you have sensitive data make sure when you install Linux encrypt at least your home partition.
I have no sensitive but painful data for Microsoft, so I do not encrypt my home folder.
Any Microsoft Guy / Girl can browse it, if they know how to do that but I will track them with Kali the dangerous Devil Queen of Folklore.

Problem with Linux including CloudOS is that they can see or mount, root (not the sexual rooting or mounting of animal) or load any partition of Microsoft and Linux at lib.

Linux is a dangerous animal to deal with including Google's Android.

Unfortunately digital Andoid does not have male hormones for sexual activity.
I think the one who coined this word would have been impotent sexually by default. 
One need not be fully potent to enjoy Linux FREEDOM in a modern Unisex Digital World.

Sex is not a barrier to use Linux but fortunately it is dominated by males who have extra hormones but one less or dysfunctional chromosome.

If you love anonymity try tails or anonymous.

9. Then register with the Help Center and ask for the applications you prefer.

I asked for AbiWord and LibreOffice which I have not yet got.

10. Do not be paranoid with a password for the USB Key since you may give it to your friends to boot with it. 

One does not need to download CloudOS.

11. I am extremely unhappy since the EyeOS which had all the tiny utilities is hijacked by a Spanish Company, I believe and they do not let you log in.
I had a log in password with them before this was taken over by a company.
EyeOS is the tiniest cloud utility and I still have a CD of it.

I may post it (image) in a public folder for others to copy since it was mainly Open Source.

My only problem is like that of the Email, when I KICK the Bucket or when I expire either due to old age or faulty memory who will look after my CLOUDs of Clouds of OLD Age.

I will have this sorted out with the Maha Brahma, who is the chief of all the Eastern (not Western or Muslim gods) GODS.

Joli OS and JoliCloud.

My investigation into Linux has taken me into Cloud Computing (I have written a book on cloud computing, too) many uncharted quarters.

This is one of those Happy Moments.

I am considered a founder member of the Jolly Cloud.

They have now developed the Jolly Drive.

Go to their site and download the CD image or windows exe file .

They say it is less than 700 MiB but unfortunately Windows exe file is over that limit and one need a DVD.
I am not going to try it on a windows since I do not use Windows.

Making a Flash drive is bit messy.

I would use my net booting utility instead of their USB Creator.

In fact Linux sh file is dysfunctional with lot of garbage.
 
One may use the USB Key to boot up or use the USB Key to install it on the hard drive partition. 

Computer BIOS should let you boot up from the Flash Drive and an old BIOS may not have this option.

Sign up with their Help Centre and follow the instructions.
I have forgotten where I have kept my USB Key.
I finally found it having booted about 20 USB sticks with various Live Linux distribution in them. 

I rarely use USBs now.

Why use them when I have many computers with many Linux derivatives running including Ubuntu 12.04.

I have some more things for future including why I should not buy anymore hardware or SSDs.

It is because of FreedomBox which is platform independent Debian Cracker.

It will run on Rasberry too.

Still at development stage and good one for Linux article writers.

I will write about it once I have digested the trend.

PUIAS / Springdale Linux (SDL)

Princetown University has done a good job out of Redhat Linux core and produced a good Linux base for University and School Use.
What like most was I could remove all Java which is over 300 MiB and use that space for Libre Office which is just over 200 MiB.
Like Hanthana Linux it has Sinhala Unicode and Tamil (free) Unicode for classroom work.

Libre Office and Princetown University packages are in the second DVD. 

This information is for somebody who downloaded One DVD and could not complete the installation.
One has to download 2 DVDs
DVD 1 is over 4 GiB.
Second DVD is 1. 2 GiB.
I downloaded the DVD 1, since it was Rehat based (Which I do not use now but my favorite 10 years ago before Fedora came into existence).

Information is given below. 

Go to Princetown University download site and get the two DVDs not by going to either Distrowatch or Softpedia downloads.

I could not finish my installation since only 4 MiB dictionary was missing.

But to Princetown University´s credit, it states one needs two DVDs before installation which I disregarded (twice thinking I might have some escape route) and it got stuck at that point and could not escape or continue without the missing packages.

This is the problem with BiG Linux and they forget the minor details and DVD has 4.4 GiB and they had used 4.2 GiB the missing files could have been easily included in the first DVD at least for the English Language users.

It has included over 300 MiB of Java JDK which I hate and easily dropped few of the JAVA BEANs and included Libre Office which is only 192 MiB for English users.

It has NO Live session which is a big failure of REDHAT of today and CENTOS its follower.

This is why I changed and love small Linux distributions.

OPENXANGE is out it looks a nice distribution on a live DVD (it has exceeded 700 MiB by seven points (7 MiB) and one need a DVD (I of course used a rewritable DVD which I can erase after testing if I do not like it.) and not a CD.
This is another mistake why the hell they exceeded 700 MiB which is the limit for a CD.

These are the Quality Points which Linux forgets and why custo\mers HATE Linux.

I think I must expedite writing my book on Total Quality in Linux.

My Tale of Google; I love you and Hate You

Google, I love you because you have taken adequate protections to save my blog site from intruders.

I hate you because all the methods you have adopted to see that I am human drives me mad at my old age.

It was after 10 or 11 attempts, I got to my page.

Your initial attempt to check the telephone, I hated the most since I had to come down two stairs and climb up two stairs to get back to type your secret code number,
I never use mobile phones.
Thank god you drop that vice.
I am still virile enough to do that but many Americans and British at my age would have ended up with a heart attack with that method.

Your initial attempt to block my entry, I bypassed with a very simple child like strategy.
I won''t let you know that method except telling you I am a Linux user, not a dirty guy or a hacker but wanted to check the latest Debian Based Tails on my computer.
I must tell you we live in a country where our normal day to day life is monitored with paranoia.
We need Google in an emergency if our human rights are violated.
Please do not be paranoid like governments big and small, who are having shady actions every minute of the day.
For normal humans beings like us the only entertainment may be the world wide web.
Be easy on it and password cheking and some entertaining web work up.
You have to think creatively.
  
We doctors use awareness, memory and alertness by using some simple an complex methods.
I don't see why computer guys like you cannot develop a creative Work Up, thinking of the elderly and young (they are more clever than adults and I used a method my dog use, to bypass my simple orders, today).
 
Blogging may not change the world but it is a simple recreation for some old people who have no friends left in this world and Facebook is not their forte.

Facebook does more dirty tricks than Google.

For tails developers THANK YOU and YOU Must keep your tails up like a good guard dogs.
You must know the vices of the web providers too.

Dream 32-About doctors and consultations

This has nothing to do with the Aurvedhic Physician or a Dos-Thara trying to kill one of his fellow beings. It looks like they are following the practice of Western doctors who have employed this method to eliminate rivals in his/her practice. 

There are few on record of recent times, where doctors were involved in this type of elimination strategy but not healthy competition.

This is beautiful happening in this Buddhist country where Dhana is taken as a high precept where Wessanthara (Bodhisatva has) had even offered his head to gain higher perfection.

It is also noteworthy, these guys and girls obtained their qualification from FREE education.

When, private Medical Schools come into practice, they will start killing each other in their students dates and before graduation, since all of them will start private practice to recover the money spent on Education.

This country will become a Killing Field, when these graduates come out from their Prospective Private Universities since we do not have any ethnic wars to practice killing each other.

I wish I should be dead before these Guys/Girls come out of Medical Schools.

My Dream

My dream is related to me visiting a  Skin Specialist.
Mind you, nobody dies (perhaps only after wrong treatment or Hypersensitivity to the wrong prescription) of skin diseases.

It was nice feeling to become a patient where most of my life, I practiced medicine free except for a brief period during the dark days when everybody was threatened with life in dark days of Southern Insurrection.

I took the risk of treating needy patients when all other outlets were closed due to insurrection.

Some of these guys whom I saved may have become even doctors now.

I never imagined this country will go down in history with these incidents occurring in almost on daily basis.

Prolong period of war has brought us to this sage where life is not counted as something worthwhile.

Doctors prime duty is to save life  but not to kill or harm.

What a nice introduction for Maha Brahma when I send this for his interpretation.

The Treatment Center was like an open Meditation Retreat.

I went and paid the entry fee and was waiting for my consultation.

It took a long time and I would have dropped into sleep on the floor (no chair was available for me since all were occupied by others) when suddenly, I was woken by a messenger boy or girl asking me to see the Skin Doctor (I went for a skin condition which was not getting better but I was thinking that it was a cancer) immediately.

I asked, Why?

I was told because I was a retired doctor, this was a very special call.

I went in to see hundred of patients seated on the floor what looked like a mas hypnosis session.

He looked a towering figure beautiful in attire and pleasant composure.

Before, I could open my mouth, he said.

You look very thin and sick.

Are you a diabetic?

No.

Do you have  cancer.

I said I do not know.

He was bit taken by answers and he took a deep breath.

It looked like, he wanted the diagnosis from my mouth.

I was expecting him to do the diagnosis anyway.

I asked him, what is my secret of being slim and thin?

He said he has no idea.

I was doing a little cross check to see this guy is actually a doctor that he claims to be.

I told him I did not eat rice for one year.

He was more taken up now.

Is that so?

Yes and before he could ask a relevant question to follow I said.

It was voluntary act of mine.

You know there is a guy in our cabinet who asks us to eat only rice and no bread.

I wanted to treat him with disrespect.

So I made a resolution one year ago not to eat any rice and eat only JUNK food, like potato chips, ravioli, pasta, spaghetti, pizza and the like.

You were trying to save money.

No they were three times as much.

Little pasta with garlic garnish is over Rs.200/= and chocolate drink that comes from India is over Rs.300/=.

I told him that we had a long strike and during that period I was practically starving and at the end of the strike, I was catching up with my calories.

Did your weight go up?

NOPE.

There was no risk involved I started eating rich chocolates and all rich things, I became an envy of the house.

My wife had a little respite and she had to cook only one meal.

Then I started eating sweet potatoes (Rs.100/= a Kilo and Wal Ala Rs.200/= Kilo) and was giving a list of prices.

He suddenly disappeared from my sight almost by divine intervention.

I could not tell him my main complaint.

Then I went out and waited at the entrance for him to come out after seeing the other patients.

Sure enough, he came out but it looked like he was not interested in seeing me.

I told him, I forgot to tell about the small wart in my writing thumb which affected my touch typing (this is not true in true life; I do not have any wart on my thumb or good at touch typing).

To my surprise he disappeared into thin air without giving my money back or any consultation.

I was in a panic mode and got up instantaneously with my hand over my chest saying ¨You squandering rascal¨.

However, I had a nice feeling when I got up since I had not sent a dream for Maha Brahma´s perusal by email.

I got an instant audience from Maha, the Greatest.

He was laughing.

You did not get your money back, did you?

No.

You must have squandered money from your patient and that is why you lost it.

Not this life but may be in my past lives.

Then I told him I finished my book on Rebirth Revisited and it is available in print and digital mode.

Shall I send you a digital copy.

It won´t have a market in heaven.

I can see many lives but most of the guys even they do not have the divine ability to see back and forward, they have to come to me for permission for such activities.

Why is that?

Then I have no running currency in heaven as the all mighty.

It is an offense in heaven to discuss rebirth without my permission,

Only human can do that.

Then I told him, that I wan´t be able to publish the second edition of my book Rebirth Revisited from there.

Nope, unless you take my post.

Not at all, I told him.

Why?

It is a boring job know?

In future everybody who is somebody can become a doctor by only using web as a resource.

Then there is no need for a Private Medical School in Malabe.

There will be many private medical schools in the web.

The problem will be that many of the sites´ computers can be hacked by even a teenager and they get hold of the past graduates and dead doctors and become Instant Doctors.

They even hijack their live practices in the web and use them as  medium of instructions.

Actually, you were looking at a video display of a hypnosis session 100 years old in future.

What happened?

I switched off the server using my divine power.

To see your reaction.

That is naughty of you.

I would have ended up with a heart attack.

I paid high and it was like paying a ransom.

Not in the future.

Why?

In future Sri-Lanka there will be so many doctors, one can get a consultation for a peanut.

BUT peanuts are expensive KNOW, one Rupee a nut.

Peanut Linux

Since I have talked about peanut, jumbo variety which a seed cost more than one Rupee, this Peanut Linux renamed aLive / aLinux is FREE, if you have a good download facility.

aLive / aLinux the earliest version which I downloaded in 2009 is pretty good.

Enjoy Peanuts in Linux if not Jumbo Peanuts.

I am currently downloading it.

My oldest computer with 4M Graphic Ram on board has no Linux distribution to run except Redhat 8 and Mandriva, 9 both of which are not supported.

Even Antix does not have a Kernel for it.

I will run this DVD on it with 256 RAM and let you know the result soon.

I do not think it will work.

If you have a Apple Mac not running there is Yellow Dog 6.2 available for download.

It is a DVD and I managed to download for an Emergency, after many failures over the last six months (6) and on the umpteenth attempt.

Our Telecom is super fast with many interruptions!

These sites will stop storing these images.

Yellow dog 5.2 is in 5 CDs and it works well (only distribution with enough utilities) works well on the Apple Mac I bought for testing Linux.

It has very little RAM and no DVD and I am not going to try this DVD.

I am keeping it for one day when an Apple Guy is Sri=Lanka is in trouble not being able to run his computer.

I won´t spend money on an Apple from which I can buy 20 to 30 Tablets with Androids which will soon hit even the Sri-Lankan market.

Myths, Mirage and Marriage

 It is said married life with kids (not without) prolong one´s life of existence.

I reproduce here posted in asokaplus at wordpress where no one visits.

I cannot remember when I posted this or ever had written this being a married man.

All the same it is worth repeating with some editing and formatting.

The 3Ms here have common ancestry.

None of can be achievable and each one of them is shrouded in mystery.

For example one who is lost and disorientated in desert sand would not know for certain he is arriving at a water hole or not.

Myths of can be expanded to any direction or dimension one who is seeking the miracle go to any extent to believe what in reality is not achievable and where there the reality is the major casualty.

Some common practices and beliefs merge into day to day life sometimes almost imperceptible to reality.

Marriage is an institution that has gained such a reputable credence that writing anything against is amounting to desecration and sacrilegious.

That is the myth I am going to expose and explode.

There is no intention of disrupting any healthy harmony that may exists in any relationship or institution.

Healthy relationships can exist and lasting friendships can be developed without this institution existing its power over individuals but when something is institutionalized and when it is bound to the common law and practices and finely tuned with ethical and moral practices of a culture aforesaid myth and mirage also will get entangled with it.

Idea here is to disentangle certain myths associated with marriage.

1. Marriage is a perfect union

2. Marriage works because of give and take

3. Marriage is a stable institution

4. There is freedom in marriage

5. It does not grow old but remain live

6. It gives security

7. It has common goals

8. It makes life complete

9. Without this institution human relationships cannot be developed

10. Everyone must commit to this institution at one stage of his or her life

This list can go on but suffice is to disentangle the entangled myths.

These arguments are not for one who is already entangled since with the wedlock there is a legal deadlock.

This is for one who leaps into deep water without addressing his or her own issues.

The first casualty in war is truth.

Similarly the first casualty in marriage is freedom.

If you love freedom and lot of hobbies thinks twice before taking the plunge.

1. The first casualty is your hobbies.

2. The second casualty is your friends.
If you have lot of friends and love their company think twice.

3. Third casualty is one’s finance (unless both are bankers with good investment funds for life like the Murdoch).
If you cannot manage finances alone two of you will not mange it better.

4. Fourth myth is the stability and security.
There are no institutions in this world which is stable and secure.
Even the best banks can bust. 

In marriage finances would bust first, especially when the kids come home.

5. It makes life complete is the biggest myth of all.
It makes simple life more complicated in marriage life and you never complete the set targets or your obligations, even if you live beyond 100 years.

6. In marriage more you give in more you have to give and less you have to take. 

One never get a chance to take in, if you are the giver.
It is like putting water into a bucket with hole in the bottom.

7. Marriage does not get old.
It is not true it is the institution that gets older by the minute.
Moment you tie your nuptials and finishes the honeymoon it is old enough to be called a marriage.

That is why we have so many marriage jubilees from its inception. 

This is written with the impending royal wedding in mind.

As long as you are a commoner please do not do what royals do.

Remain a commoner for life and you may advise the royals (couples) in trouble.

Better still you become a divorce lawyer.

Hope the royal couple reads this one day after the honeymoon (too late by then).

Internet Banking = Danger not Evaluated; The WARNINGS not Heeded

This should be read in conjunction with Bugger the Bankers.

I will only give only a glimpse of it.

The reader should update his or her own risk element, if not on daily basis but on monthly basis.

Let me dispense with the underline presumptions.

There are two presumptions.

One is that computers never make mistakes and better than humans.

Computers make huge mistakes whereas humans make small mistakes, like counting the balance.

Computer can make million of mistakes in a fraction of a second but human can make only one mistake at a time, which many of us do not guard against.
Humans try to prevent repeating the mistake, whereas computers keep on doing the same mistake million times.

(No fortune company will come out with the true facts, like the Ponsi scheme that went round globally without any hindrance, till the banking started collapsing.
We have too many banks .
What we need is a few banks with credibility.)

Like me forgetting, to take the balance after payment is made.

The cashier, if he or she is a good one will promptly return the money.

Computers will never gives back the money that was wrongly paid (server administrator can safely transfer it in seconds to some far away destination without any trace of the transaction) or comes behind you with the correct balance in hand.

The sever administrator can swindle any excess, knowing very well that somebody has made a mistake.

This happens in big shopping networks and that is why the items and articles are more expensive than in the open market.

They never audit or declare these frauds fearing that they will loose the market.

Banks are no different.

They only see one side of it.

The customer side.

Never its own staff.

If they make a mistake they will hide it by all means like a cat covering its poo.

The second premise is very simple.

Majority (99%) including me is very bad at balancing accounts on daily basis.

The bank jump into your shoes under this pretext and may even one day ruin you.

In fact, I managed without a bank account for nearly six years when I returned from abroad with six credit cards.

That was only period in my life, I never asked for a loan and did not make a single mistake.

I was doing my own banking and balancing my accounts.

But I have one cardinal principle.

That is, I may not make mistakes on a daily basis but one day I will make a huge mistake.

I will guard against that mistake which will ruin me.

It will last good for me.

I have also another resolution.

My maximum loss should be theoretically not more than Rs.100,000/= (never a million which young ones are enticed and coaxed into by all commercial banks).

Each one should have a credit limit which he or she can bear, which is usually three to ten times the basic salary (not the total salary).

If one exceeds that limit, he or she on his or her own peril one day, one has to blame oneself not the bank or the creditors.

The day I make that big mistake, I will close all my accounts and delegate my finances to someone whom I can trust.

The problem is finding one whom I can trust in this blessed Buddhist country.

So if you do Internet Banking,  the moment (fraction of a second) you press the button,  you are taking a big risk.

The song bugger the bankers is making a huge impact globally and the banks are hell bent on promoting their vices on many new form of advertisements and in many fronts.

Even children not born are not spared.

Do not fall to their trappings which are worse than Merchant of Venice..

That is, promote free spending with a noose around your neck.

I felt like writing this having seen a young mother with her baby attended by her mother did not check the bill when she was making her payment.

In my medical career I have seen many nursing mothers making big mistakes that include caring for the baby, let alone finances.

We have a very steep learning curve.

In that learning curve we learn three bad habits.

1. We Live on Loans.

2. We are Late on paying loans that include returning Library books burrowed on due date.

Let me deal with the digital balance first.

Few years ago when I was in Colombo, I did a survey to see how many of the private hospital laboratories had proper scientific balances, in their laboratories.

The answer was none.

I cannot remember well but one place had two balances of scientific quality, may be Quality Control Bureau which were hardly used.

No wonder when one sends the same sample divided into ten portions to 10 places one gets 10 different answers.

In fact, I did this as part of my survey as a prerequisite for installing quality control procedures.

The I left to join university and it was no better.

I could not find a proper balance for my work.

After much deliberation I ordered one and it came three years later once, I had finished my data collection.

I bought one digital balance using my own money which the university never reimbursed.

I asked for a microscope which they never provided.

In fact, I bought a digital one during our strike from my saving from abroad.

During the strike I managed to find a digital balance for kitchen.

I bought that at cut price knowing very well a new one will cost a lot.

This came handy when we were feeding the young squirrel.

It weighed only 20 gram.

His weight after a feed was 21 gram.

Now to the crunch point.

I weighed real jumbo peanut it was 1 gram.

I weighed a local peanuts and two to three would qualify for 1 gram.

Then I looked at the price of jumbo peanut which is Rs.120/= 90 gram packet.

It had less than 100 peanuts and one jumbo peanut is over one Rupee in price and that was revelation.

One can buy two decent sized local peanuts for one Rupee.

Then I realized we have a Jumbo Sized Cabinet to oversee the plantation including peanuts not peanut butter.
 

I wonder whether some of these ministers even have a peanut size brain to understand, how bad our economy is managed.

When two legged Jumbos are in opposition (I think they do not have even the peanut sized brains) failing to voice an opinion for the poor voters (whose brains are undergoing starvation atrophy) I think the Jumbo Sized Parliament is an utter wastage.

I have downloaded (torrent file from www.linuxtracker.og) tested LibreOffice 4.0 and I am amazed by the quality of Libre-Office 4.0.

Thanks a lot Guys/ Girls in Apache.

You are simply marvelous!

I have been using Open Office for more than a decade but when Oracle dumped it changed myself to AbiWord for all my work but continued to use LibreOffice for presentations for my students (only) with Impress / Powerpoint.

The file can be accommodated in Mini CD and installs breezily.

Only problem was I had to install Microsoft Windows 7 in my computer.

I used a paid copy which I never registered (kept it for testing purposes and this is the first time in 5 years I have used Windows for a test) and to my amazement, it is telling me that it is not a valid copy.

It was in our dungeon for three years, exactly.

Anyway, all this was to help my daughter in her class work and she has Win-XP and Installed it to show that one need not buy Office 2013.

It is fitting to finish this book with this story.

In fact this story hastened me to write before other books that I was planning for sometime.

Fortunately, if happened during the prolong industrial action and I could record the story briefly for posterity with the help of my wife and my daughter.

Family Crisis, TRIN-GO the Trigger Mechanism of the Crisis

TRIN-GO was the newly coined name of our adopted grandson who was a very tiny squirrel who even had not opened its eyes.

We  kept a diary of its progress not with any intention of including it in this book but the unexpected events that unfolded had made me to do so, and in fact hastened writing this book.

After, I had attended to the emergency need (half of the rescue work by my wife) I let the tiny one relax and go to sleep since my wife had frightened it very much, the only sedative I could assure was a dark room conducive for sleeping.

I went to sleep myself and when I got up, the next thing was to name it.

GO was vital and I had decided that it had to GO when he is ready.

I won´t get attached to it.

TRI is that it had to survive from the CATS, and my DOG and the fiery Ants.

It also has stripes not three but many on its back.

I left a little notebook for my daughter to keep the records and again went back to town to find a suitable PEN.

Quite by accident the name rings on me the way we handle RECONCILIATION.

We are like CATS, DOGS and SQUIRRELS,

They cannot live in one house or a PEN.

Without any amendments the new name was endorsed by the adopted family and the poor  squirrel family has to be satisfied one minus but soon the juvenile would be roaming on rooftops and tree as bird.

We are worse than CATS, DOGS and SQUIRRELS.

In spite of the oddity in nature they somehow survive near human habitation.

Only rarely one has to intervene, when one is young, blind or injured.

Then, we have to extend some help.

Soon he has to be released to the mother nature.

That was my resolve and no attachment.

Day 0ne-1

Friday the 21st of September 2012.

TRINGO is a bundle of energy.

He climbs up to the rooftop of the hurriedly made and fabricated playpen.

He takes only 3 drops per feed.

Last feed was at 11.50 A.M make and some fresh milk needs to be prepared at at4.30 P.M.

He has not passed water / urine and appeared very dry.

His stools are dry like squashed, parboiled dry rice.

Day Five-5-Tuesday 25thSeptember

Opened its eyes and may be about five weeks old.

Day 9 -Saturday, 29th September

Weighed 20 grams.

Day 11

Barely able lick milk on the anatomical snuffbox of the dorsal aspect of my hand.

Day 12

Able to reverse backwards,

Day 13

I made a mess while feeding and his under belly and tail was soaked with milk which I attributed wrongly to his urine.

Tiny drop of urine on my hand but very concentrated.

Gives a signal before voiding bowel which were soft and yellow.

Still weighs 20 grams but 21 grams after a feed.

I had to spend over two hours since he was very active and won’t settle down in the pen.

First jump when left on the bed on its own.

Tears down my dog’s eyes

Why?

I was playing with the new guy.

Yes, for three days he had tears in its eyes.

Are you neglecting me because of this new guy?

That was the message my dog planted in my eyes.

Able to nibble at soft banana but not able to swallow but takes the juicy part and still not ready for solids.

Needs coxing and guiding.

Unable to find food on its own except milk.

Loves fruit yogurt.

Very active won’t go to sleep.

Climb up and down and wonder away and not able to define its sphere of activity and returning to the base.

All together  two and a half hours play time and no winder my dog felt sad for himself.

Very well settled down. Grooms and talk to self and listen to external sound attentively.

Day 14-4th October

Becoming independent.

Able to find food on a tray but goes into panic mode when feeding is discounted.

Grooms on its own but not not the tail.

Self assured and no wondering in the pen aimlessly.

Tail still not straight or fully formed.

Alert to the presence of me or my daughter.

Has not gained weight probably due probably to its hyperactivity.

Teeth growing but unable gnaw guava which was hard for its teeth.

Loves ripe banana.

Day 15

Sleeps well when he has had a good meal.

Feeds more in two sittings.

Loves fruit yoghurt.

Day 16

Very talkative.

Say no and able to refuse food.

Loves to wonder around aimlessly.

Day 17-7th October 2012

Teeth visible.

Feeds OK.

Voiding OK.
