My Linux History from 1999 to 2024

My Linux History from 1999 to 2024

This piece is an antidote to some Linux Guys on YouTube ranting their prowess on a Virtual Box Terminals.

While the developers have been working hard,  I was working hard testing their products and was actually using them for productive work while having a busy medical career also teaching undergraduate students.

I could not convert any of my students to Linux but I never coerced anybody but had a healthy laugh at Window Users.

They are imprisoned and in Apple terms Jail Breakers.

Even though I started with Caldera Linux and moved to Knoppix 3.7 to Knoppix 7.1, my workhorse was Mandriva which became Mageia.

I think I started with Debian 6 (Release 6 February 2011) but moved to Debian 11 in 2021 (10 years later), one year after Corona Virus pandemic.

I was down with Mortal ill effects of the Vaccine (wrote a book on Corona Virus the moment, I recovered from the clinical episode, this Fousi Guy almost killed me) and fortunately 2020 was the rest year for Debian and did not miss much.

Ever since, I had been  involved with Debian Gnome.

Having said that, I had a brief encounter with Solaris and they in fact send me a DVD free.

I had a brief encounter with Free BSD (not PC BSD) when the Microsoft Boot record did not let me erase its BIOS record to install Linux.

If I remember right, I erased Microsoft proprietary hold (after all I bought it, and it is my property not Microsoft's) it through Internet using Live Free BSD session to connect to the Internet.

Thank YOU Free BSD.

The Laptop has Endless installed in it now. Now I hate Endless OS and it has 8 Linux Distributions installed.

This is copied from a French article and French do not use capital letters in the middle of a document. I would correct them one word at a time.

I could never had the opportunity to try Mandrake Gold Edition.

I was never involved in Ubuntu but I had all its versions from 6.1 (Given free by Mark Shuttleworh with thank YOU).

You should understand why have over 400 CD/DVDs in my possession.

I quickly realized he was a homosexual monk and did not see him again but found the 3rd CD from other source (probably got it from Singapore through, one of my agents in Colombo, Ceylon)

There is a story behind the 3 Fedora CDs.

I got 2 of the 3 CDs from a monk in Sarana road and he did not give me the third.

I quickly realized he was a homosexual monk and did not see him again but found the 3rd CD from other source (probably got it from Singapore through, one of my agents in Colombo, Ceylon)

Peanut Size Brain of Our Politicians

 Digital Balance of Digital Age
Peanut Size Brain of Our Politicians
Peanuts, Jumbo Peanuts, Digital Balance of Digital Age

Peanuts, Jumbo Peanuts, Digital Balance of Digital Age
Let me deal with the
digital balance first.
Few years ago when I was in Colombo, I did a survey to see how many of the
private hospital laboratories had proper scientific balances, in their laboratories.
The answer was none.
I cannot remember well but one place had two balances of scientific quality, may be
Quality Control Bureau which were hardly used.
BumiPutra was in charge of this place
No wonder when one sends the same sample divided into ten portions to 10 places one gets 10 different results or answers.

In fact, I did this as part of my survey as a prerequisite for installing Quality Control Procedures.
Then I left to join university and it was no better.

I could not find a proper balance for my work.
After much deliberation I ordered one and it came three years later once, I had finished my data collection.
I bought one digital balance using my own money which the university never reimbursed.
I asked for
a digital microscope which they never provided.
In fact, I bought a digital one during our strike
from my saving from abroad.
During the strike I managed to find a digital balance for kitchen.
I bought that at cut price knowing very well a new one will cost a lot.
This came handy when we were feeding the young squirrel.
The young squirrel weighed only 20 gram.
His weight after a feed was 21 gram.

Now to the crunch point.

I weighed real jumbo peanut it was 1 gram.
I weighed a local peanuts and two to three would qualify for 1 gram.

Then I looked at the price of jumbo peanut which is Rs.120/= 90 gram packet.
It had less than 100 peanuts and
one jumbo peanut is over one Rupee in price and that was revelation.
One can buy two decent sized local peanuts for one Rupee.

Then I realized we have a Jumbo Sized Cabinet to oversee the plantation including peanuts not peanut butter.

I wonder whether some of these ministers even have a peanut size brain
to understand, how bad our economy is managed.

When two legged Jumbos are in opposition (I think they do not have even the peanut sized brains) failing to voice an opinion for the poor voters (whose brains are undergoing starvation atrophy) I think the Jumbo Sized Parliament is an utter wastage.

Tribute to Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi for Reviving Real History of CEYLON

Tribute to Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi for Reviving Real History of CEYLON

He is a decade younger to me.

Long Live Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi.

ආයු බෝ වේවා.

I never believed the Story planted by Indians that Vijaya and Kuveni initiated our history.

It is a Cock and Bull Story of Indians who wanted to capture CEYLON from the  time of Kalinga and Maga time and one of them was supposed to be left in Trincomalai without his genitals to be rescued by the fleeing invaders.

I firmly believe that Buddha was born in Ceylon. There is enough and more archaeological records and Stone Edits to prove it.

British archaeologists deliberately twisted and distorted our history.

That is because they plundered vast swath of our archaeological artifacts during 150 years of their occupation.

The destruction they caused to our Ola Leaves including to  our Native Medicine is enormous.

British wanted to plant their own version of history.

But our ancient erudite saw this destructive potential and recorded them in our own alphabet which foreigners could not decipher.

Panavithana was a rogue archaeologist who deciphered Stone Edits incorrectly to please the Invader.

I have to make a note about destructive nature of  Nuclear Forces.

The next catastrophe is not natural as proclaimed by rogue monks who pretend that they have acquired some unusual mental capabilities through Meditation.

Some of them are a deluded lot.

Next catastrophe is impending and it is nuclear and multi-prong.

I try hard to state that fact and SAVE Planet Earth from the time of Ukraine War with that mad guy Zelenskyy provoking Russia.

Then there is Iran and Israel crossfires.

That potential is very high compared to Natural Catastrophe.

Coming to Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi, he is a born earth guy and a natural investigator.

My Guess is this guy like  the monk Ganegama Dhamma Visuddhi Thera could read into their past lives, if not future trends.

His and Ganagama Thera's future predictions are reliable guesses based on their past lives experiences.

They have a fascinating insight into our own history.
They do not like to read and write in English or Sinhala.
The language he prefers is our own Hela Diva (අක්ෂර) Alphabet.

He has in fact, produced and published our own but  Defunct Alphabet.

He should be awarded the Nobel Prize for reviving our real history.
Our real history wad distoeted and dumped  Mahanama and Buddhagosha who are Indian Monks. They are  real distorters of our own history for Indian Interests.

This Guy Ellawala Medhananda is a real crook.

I would make some comments on RAVANA Kings based on our Stone Edits.

In Ceylon especially in the seabed there are records of a  very old civilizations.

Remember Sir Arthur C Clerk and Ran Muru Dewa film. They were not only pearl harvesting but looking for ancient treasures.

We have had a robust Galactic Travelers in Ceylon according to the Stone Edits.

Indians who were living in traditional RAVANA stories are discovering that we CEYLON had a great ancient civilization.

The Indians want to bury that TRUE history plant their Mythical storied and Legends.

This is another reason why I am Anti-Indian.

Not only that Indians are Greedy but they want us to believe them word by word.

Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi is destroying Indian Myths.

Some our monks and some local guys who are paid by Indians are distorting our history.
Raj Somadeva is either paid by Indians or is the long arm of LTTE.

Until we get rid of him from our Archaeology Department myths and mythology would galore.

RAVANA belongs to the 3 generations of Buddhas who lived in Ceylon.

That probably extend up to 30,000 or more years. This is the discovery of Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi who has done painful research work with some erudite monks of CEYLON helping him.

Our monks protected our story.

Bringing this mad Marxist lot to power is another strategy by Indians to hoodwink the general masses.
Niragamikayos are getting a real hammering in Anuradhapura.

They won't last even their first term is my estimate.

They are the biggest catastrophe in our history. It is time to push them out from main stream.

Richard Medhurst and Professor Seyed Mohammed Marandi

Richard Medhurst and Professor Seyed Mohammed Marandi

I did forget his name and last night having tuned into Mehdi Raza Hasan another Iranian Journalist whom I am not familiar with suddenly his name came to my mind.

I thought he went Austria from United Kingdom.
He is a Syrian Christian coming from a professional family.

He was arrested by UK authorities and investigated by Austrian at the behest of British authorities, I believe.

I do not take part any side in Middle East conflict since I do not understand the root cause except there was something called two state solution in the UNO in 1947. The UNO gave 60% of the land designated as Arab Land (Palestinians) to the Jewish state and then the conflict started in 1948.

It still continues.

I am getting only his old presentations from RM.

I do not intend to become a patreon subscriber.

Well Professor Seyed Mohammed Marandi has filled this gap adequately.

My advice to the Ceylonese guys who presented a case in UNO is Do Not expect UNO to propagate Two State Solution (at the behest of the Indian Moda Modi in Ceylon) until UNO fulfills it promise made in 1947 to Palestinians.

UNO is a  White Tiger economically speaking.

Iran case here is an entirely different kettle of fish.

Vitamin C and Human Growth Hormone

Vitamin C and Human Growth Hormone

Vitamin C has a positive, direct association with human growth hormone (GH) secretion and overall production. Clinical research shows that peak stimulated growth hormone levels are strongly linked to dietary vitamin C intake. Higher vitamin C levels correlate with increased basal GH secretion, a longer GH half life, higher total GH production and elevated overnight growth hormone pulses.

Individuals with obesity often experience lower natural growth hormone output alongside reduced plasma vitamin C concentrations, though direct intervention studies continue to evaluate whether raising vitamin C can actively reverse these deficits

Studies have observed the correlation of reduced vitamin C concentration in decreased growth hormone secretion, in obese patients, increased waist hip ratio and increased heart disease risk

This why I say a tablet of 50 mg Vitamin C, a day wont do any harm to one’s health and it is cheaper than eating an apple that had been on the supermarket shelf from the last season, when I was in United Kingdom in 1980s. Yes consuming more vitamin C leafy vegetables containing Vitamin C is a good health habit and  may help increase HGH which is a vital hormone released by the hypothalamus.

Demise of Prof. Senaka Bible is a conspiracy

Demise of Prof. Senaka Bible is a conspiracy

This is a reproduction and I tend to believe the circumstances.

The story then was the poison was put in wine by an air hostess and there was inadvertent delay in seeking medical aid.

The same company conduct an annual oration in his name.

Good old American Methodology, similar to Area 51.

He was my teacher and he is probably reborn in a another alien planet and I believe aliens have advised him not to visit this planet again.

Professor Bibile died in 1977 at Guyana, under mysterious circumstances.

The section regarding his death is being consistently removed from Wikipedia by an unknown entity, each time someone updates it.

It is a well known 'secret' that Dr Bibile was murdered by inducing cardiac arrest using a drug (s) that has been available, even before second world war.

Digitalis

The medicine is extracted from the dried leaves of the foxglove plant.

It contains natural heart-stimulating chemicals called cardiac glycosides.

Digoxin and Digitoxin.

In fact, on of my old friend who was our laboratory technician at Amptiya College, in Kandy was poisoned by this drug by a doctor in Kandy Hospital.

He had all the side effects recorded in his ECG.

I gradually weaned him off knowing he never had a heart attack.

This was during my work at the place mentioned below.

I have included him in my book Classic Personalities (Reflections) at Amazon Books.

He was nature lover who survived the tragic Earth Slip in Ampitiya, Uduwela in 1960s when I was a kid.

This guy planted thousands of plants from seeds he gathered. He used to bring young plants to Kandy city in biodegradable plastic bags. I could not plant a particular seed and he told me throw them to the seeds to tar road and pick a plant or two after the rain.

I did collect three young plants and put them on three pots.

My rooftop garden must be dead now.

Ampitiya and Uduwela, situated in the mountainous Kandy District of Sri Lanka, are historically vulnerable to earth slips (landslides) and soil instability, especially during periods of heavy monsoon rains. No records available in the Internet.

නිමල් රංජිතුත් කක්කි නාගෙන.

Coming to my original story.

Doctors use digitalis medications to treat heart failure and irregular heart rhythms (like atrial fibrillation) by strengthening heart muscle contractions.

Toxicity

All parts of the foxglove plant are highly poisonous if eaten or handled improperly, and can cause severe illness or death.

One of his colleagues were involved in the murder to ensure that he would not recover from the 'heart attack' by not taking prompt action as well as taking the wrong cause of action as well as a delayed cause of action to recover him.

As a matter of fact, this doctor colleague of doctor Bibile from
UNO, asked Mrs Bibile for her forgiveness for letting him die that way, implying that he was simply a tool for corrupted multinational drug companies, in which she replied, "If you can bring him back, then I will forgive you".

Known multinational pharmaceutical companies were involved in Professor Bibile's murder.

The truth will come out one day as it happens all the time.

Who is a Doctor and who can hold the Title Dr.?

Who is a Doctor and who can hold the Title Dr.?
Posted on October 12, 2011
This is a reproduction from New York Times
Being myself a Medical Person D.P.T.O (Do not Practice and Teach Only) who can use this two letters and the dot for many reasons, avoid using it, doctor part in my life for the last 10 years and it has made my life very easy and simple.
In fact on of my neighbors asked me are you really a doctor to which I smiled and did not give an answer, making him more confused.
Most of the guys/girls who know me come for second opinion, I am more than willing to oblige.
But free of charge and they do get better with simple remedies.
I have few emergency tablets in my purse always for such and eventuality, just in case.
I totally agree with this gentleman and I am more than grateful to him for bringing to notice what ever the PhD one holds if it is not relevant to the (if it is not germane to the holder’s primary current occupation) post currently holding it should not be used as a label of distinction.
After all the PhD may be 30 years old and disproved by at least three times  over that period of time  if it was a good one to tag one’s own thesis.
I am in fact currently finishing a book (which actually was a 10 year research work ) and I have decided  not to put that for PhD referral or title and would share it with the general public.
If somebody gives a PhD posthumously for this creative work , the funeral director can put a single copy in my coffin before cremation so that it goes to heaven or hell with me.
Who’s a Dr.?
Our continued use of courtesy titles — increasingly rare in the news media — prompts many questions. Rules on the use of “Dr.” in particular can lead to confusion, for readers and unfortunately sometimes for our writers. Here’s our style book entry:
Dr. should be used in all references for physicians and dentists whose practice is their primary current occupation, or who work in a closely related field, like medical writing, research or pharmaceutical manufacturing: Dr. Alex E. Baranek; Dr. Baranek; the doctor. (Those who practice only incidentally, or not at all, should be called Mr., Ms., Miss or Mrs.) Anyone else with an earned doctorate, like a Ph.D. degree, may request the title, but only if it is germane to the holder’s primary current occupation (academic, for example, or laboratory research).
For a Ph.D., the title should appear only in second and later references. The holder of a Ph.D. or equivalent degree may also choose not to use the title.
Do not use the title for someone whose doctorate is honorary.
