Yes, My Favorite STACER, the System Tool is back with mew.
No regrets waiting over one hour to install.
I love the old Debian Desktop but desktop with side panels on both sides is already depreciated..
My book started with this edition in my NUC. Advantage of using the old version is it is STABLE and no UPDATES intended.
Material there in my book is based on Debian 12 with highlighting new features as and when necessary.
I currently use Forky the Testing Distribution. The reason being I can use the cellphone dedicated software Debian has recently introduced.
To begin with installation on very easy pace.
I can follow every action since the font is large and readable. I can read them seated in an easy chair. I do not have to read the Linux Bible which is always by the side much smaller than Harrison and Cecil and Loeb- Textbook of Medicine.
Nelson I think is a book on Physics.
It is Python 3.
GRUB took an inordinate time.
About 10 minutes.
Total installation time 1 hour and 15 minutes.
No worry the guys have come to clean up the gutters and roof and I am house bound.
Boot Menu and boot up script is large enough and I am going to keep it for reference.
All icons are large and easy on my eyes.
Taken 9.2GB with all the desktops except LXDE and LXQt.
2620 files in total.
Brings out the nostalgia but without the right side application panel.
I installed AbiWord but I had to remove the DVD tagged to the distribution. Assumed that I installed it using a DVD and not by USB. It is running smoothly and I got STACER back.
What a relief?
I love STACER which is System Tool whuch guves a running commentary. I dot like the new system tools. It is a beautiful graphic application. GeDebi is installed by default and I got both Opera and Vivaldi. Brave is srill terminal and I did not try.
