It belonged to Sony.
I paid extra expecting Higher Quality from Sony. I could not format it fully. There was little bit of Sony stuff I could not ERASE. I do not think I discarded it to the bin. I disposed it by giving it somebody. Not to the seller. The guy (seller) was a Muslim guy. Not I never went to his place but stop buying all Sony Stuff.
I had a Sony large cassette player which I bought from Tottenham Court along with a Sony Double Deck Cassette Recorder.
Coming back to USB stick of 32 bit I bought in Ceylon. HIKVision, probably a Hong Kong product. This USB stick also has a reserved section which I cannot ERASE to write a Linux Iso Image.
I am trying to format it with GPT heading with NTFS and followed by FAT.
Even Puppy EasyOS cannot format it.
I could format it ignoring the portion that belongs to HIKVision.
That means I have 29GB out of 32GB.
I pa❤️d it in full and I got 3GB minus.
I never stored a single file in it.
I keep it in front of my NUC to remind me of the use of USB stick by US Defense Department and that CIA guy Edward Joseph Snowden who now lives in Russia.
He used TAILS.
AMERICA used LPS now named TENS and discontinued in 2021 after Coronavirus pandemic.
Light
Portable
Secure was its name.
I discovered US Defense Department was using it and never used it again.
It had two versions.
One ordinary and the other the deluxe.
Second one is the suspect item.
I managed find a copy of the ordinary LPS.
It won't run in a 64 bit NUC but I would try it on GNOME Boxes.
The point here is Chinese may be using sophisticated methods in their USB sticks.
The bottom line is You buy a USB stick from a trusted company.
Then check whether you can ERASE it fully before writing a Linux Image to boot.
GPR failed.
Even the USB stick belongs to Microsoft Windows Initial FAT.
That is why I say Microsoft is an extension of American covert activities.
For nearly 30 years I DID not use Microsoft Windows and total migration to Linux was the end result.
