Hubris Syndrome
Hubris Syndrome is a pattern of behaviour in a person who sees the world as a place for self-glorification by the use of power only.
 
Features of Hubris Syndrome include;
 
There is a tendency to take action primarily to enhance one’s personal image.
 
Shows disproportionate concern for self image and presentation.
 
Exhibits messianic zeal and exaltation in speech.
 
Conflates self with nation or organisation.
 
Loses contact with reality.
 
Resorts to restlessness, recklessness and impulsive actions.
 
Allows moral rectitude to obviate consideration of practicality, cost or outcome.
 
Displays incompetence with total disregard for nuts and bolts of policy making.
 
Basically such a person is a pain.
