Linux Mint is Different

Since, I had 5 partitioms free I installed Linux Mint.
I have not instaled it on my PC after 32 bit era. Then I was using Peppermint Linux.

Partitioning was painfylly SLOW
It did not accept the partitions already preoared by Gparted.
I am reinstalling due to /var being exhausted.

Boot Loader of Big Linux was in dark mode and I hope Mint gives me a decent Boot Loader at start up. Again, Boot Loader is in dark mode.

I got Synaptic Package Manager through Software Manager. That was after UPDATES of Linux Mint which was nearly 1GB of SOFTWARE. Immediately, after install one should do the UPDATES.
My decision to Reinstall has paid dividends. I increased the size of the /var partition to 8GB, anyway. I won't have this problem since I have 13GB left for additional applications. Interestingly, Synaptic Package Manager has blender for Install and it takes 735MB space.
My next move is to get the GNOME Desktop.

I was one who is addicted to Synaptic Package Manager. Current Linux Mint does not have Synaptic Package Manager. Instead, it has its own package system which is bit like Flatpak.
I do not like the Sandbox System since it consumes lot of space.
It has ARCH system's Add and Remove which I am very fond of.

However, I used the Sandbox System to install Gnome and Plasma and it filled up the /var partition of 6GB.
I am going to keep it since I have GNOME now.
I have Cinnamon Desktop under Debian and it is much cleaner and smooth but it takes lot of space, may be over 1200MB. That is why I do not fancy it but I like it's Nemo File Manger.

Mint is not going to be my daily driver but BigLinux based on MANJARO is.
