Why one should use DuckduckGO-Bodhi Supports it

Why one should use DuckduckGO-Bodhi Supports it

DuckduckGO has a trendy support of Linux community.

With cloud computing in full swing soon, the emergence of DuckDuckGO is a healthy attribute.
Bodhi and lot of  Debian derivative which port light weight Midori as a browser by default support DuckDuckGO including Puppy Linux.
By the way Bodhi enlightenment desktop has produced and excellent distribution come this Christmas.
It is light weight and has beautiful desktop effects.
Below is the information reproduced directly from DuckDuckGO home page.
It has a strong Privacy Policy.
DuckDuckGo is a search engine that is based in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and uses information from crowd-sourced sites (like Wikipedia) with the aim of augmenting traditional results and improving relevance. The search engine philosophy emphasizes privacy and does not record user information.
At other search engines, when you do a search and then click on a link, your search terms are sent to that site you clicked on (in the HTTP referrer header). We call this sharing of personal information "search leakage."
For example, when you search for something private, you are sharing that private search not only with your search engine, but also with all the sites that you clicked on (for that search).
In addition, when you visit any site, your computer automatically sends information about it to that site (including your User agent and IP address). This information can often be used to identify you directly.
So when you do that private search, not only can those other sites know your search terms, but they can also know that you searched it. It is this combination of available information about you that raises privacy concerns.
DuckDuckGo prevents search leakage by default. Instead, when you click on a link on our site, we route (redirect) that request in such a way so that it does not send your search terms to other sites. The other sites will still know that you visited them, but they will not know what search you entered beforehand.
At some other search engines (including us), you can also use an encrypted version (HTTPS), which as a byproduct doesn't usually send your search terms to sites. However, it is slower to connect to these versions and if you click on a site that also uses HTTPS then your search is sent. Nevertheless, the encrypted version does protect your search from being leaked onto the computers it travels on between you and us.
At DuckDuckGo, our encrypted version goes even further and automatically changes links from a number of major Web sites to point to the encrypted versions of those sites. It is modeled after (and uses code from) the HTTPS Everywhere FireFox add-on. These sites include Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon to name a few.
Another way to prevent search leakage is by using something called a POST request, which has the effect of not showing your search in your browser, and, as a consequence, does not send it to other sites. You can turn on POST requests on our settings page, but it has its own issues. POST requests usually break browser back buttons, and they make it impossible for you to easily share your search by copying and pasting it out of your Web browser's address bar.
Finally, if you want to prevent sites from knowing you visited them at all, you can use a proxy like Tor. DuckDuckGo actually operates a Tor exit enclave, which means you can get end to end anonymous and encrypted searching using Tor & DDG together.
You can enter !proxy domain into DuckDuckGo as well, and we will route you through a proxy, e.g. !proxy breadpig.com. This feature is part of our !bang syntax. Unfortunately, proxies can also be slow, and free proxies (like the one we use) are funded by arguably excessive advertising.
Because of these drawbacks in HTTPS, POST and proxies we decided to take the redirect approach to combat search leakage. However, we leave the choice up to you. You can deviate from the default on our settings page by toggling the redirect or address bar settings. You can also use our encrypted version.
Other search engines save your search history. Usually your searches are saved along with the date and time of the search, some information about your computer (e.g. your IP address, User agent and often a unique identifier stored in a browser cookie), and if you are logged in, your account information (e.g. name and email address).
With only the timestamp and computer information, your searches can often be traced directly to you. With the additional account information, they are associated directly with you.
Also, note that with this information your searches can be tied together. This means someone can see everything you've been searching, not just one isolated search. You can usually find out a lot about a person from their search history.
It's sort of creepy that people at search engines can see all this info about you, but that is not the main concern. The main concern is when they either a) release it to the public or b) give it to law enforcement.
Why would they release it to the public? AOL famously released supposedly anonymous search terms for research purposes, except they didn't do a good job of making them completely anonymous, and they were ultimately sued over it. In fact, almost every attempt to anonymize data has similarly been later found out to be much less anonymous than initially thought.
The other way to release it to the public is by accident. Search engines could lose data, or get hacked, or accidentally expose data due to security holes or incompetence, all of which has happened with personal information on the Internet.
Why would search engines give your search history to law enforcement? Simply because law enforcement asked for it, usually as part of a legal investigation. If you read privacy policies and terms of service carefully you will notice that they say they can give your information on court order.
This makes sense because they may be legally obligated to do so. However, search engines are not legally obligated to collect personal information in the first place. They do it on their own volition.
The bottom line is if search engines have your information, it could get out, even if they have the best intentions. And this information (your search history) can be pretty personal.
For these reasons, DuckDuckGo takes the approach to not collect any personal information. The decisions of whether and how to comply with law enforcement requests, whether and how to anonymize data, and how to best protect your information from hackers are out of our hands. Your search history is safe with us because it cannot be tied to you in any way.

Things I could not do in 2011-Finding a Book on Turtles

Things I could not do in 201-Finding a Book on Turtles / Tortoises
Turtles / Tortoises are now classified in the same species category.
I use to feed tortoises daily.
The were in plenty in Kandy Lake
One day bystander told me not to do that.
Why?
If you do that the our Kassipu /Toddy / Illicit drinkers will take them and eat them was the answer.
His prediction was right in 1973 when food was scarce and children were dying of hunger our population of tortoises vanished.
This the Buddhist heritage city and that was how we practiced Metta to all animals.
Other reason probably was the pollution of its water.
Then they (once the species was exterminated/genocide) pass a law stating it is a protected species.
We are good at closing the stable door once the horse has bolted.
We no longer practice Buddhist virtues.
Animal are food material and then they started catching dogs and cats for food during Perehara festival.
Vanishing species is not FOOD for THOUGHT anymore.
Below is a reproduction from elsewhere for your perusal.

Conservationists have declared 2011 the Year of the Turtle in an effort to raise public awareness of the precarious state of turtle populations around the world. Nearly half of all living turtle species are considered to be threatened with extinction. Of the well-known animal groups, turtles are disappearing the fastest.
We are in the midst of a worldwide decline in biodiversity. A staggering 12 percent of birds, 25 percent of mammals and 30 percent of amphibians are threatened with extinction. Sadly, turtles offer no exception to this trend towards species loss. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), an organization that maintains a comprehensive list of the status of the world's species, categorizes 47 percent of all living turtle species as Threatened.
Turtles first appeared in the fossil record more than 200 million years ago during the Triassic Period. Since that time, they have changed little and today's turtles bear much resemblance to their ancestors. Despite their long evolutionary history, turtles are now in danger of disappearing due to a variety of threats including habitat loss, over exploitation, pet trade, hunting for use in traditional medicine, by catch, invasive species, disease and climate change.
Many of the threats facing turtles are derived from human activities. Conservationists look to this fact with optimism—if man can create these threats, we can also reduced or eliminate them. They suggest a number of actions that can help ensure a more secure future for turtles. These actions include protecting rare turtle species and the habitats on which they rely, looking after common turtle species to ensure their populations remain healthy and managing crisis situations such as saving critically endangered turtle species and responding to emergencies such as oil spills.

Coal Power and Health

Coal Power and Health
I was reluctant to talk about health issues but following is an extract from Scientific American.
I was more concerned about "global warming" and medical facts were known from 1952 and having worked in UK I need not have any pep talk health effects.
Scientists especially American Industrial agents had been distorting facts regarding global warming and delaying action till 2020  that was my primary concern.

To the credit of the American Doctors they have facts to prove their claims.

EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson revealed the rules, which have been about 20 years in the making, at a Washington, D.C., children's hospital.
Mercury can harm the nervous systems of developing fetuses and infants and can enter the food stream through contaminated fish.

While the rule mostly adhered to the tough proposal on mercury, arsenic, chromium and other pollutants made earlier in the year, there were some differences.
It is time for our doctors (wake up call) in practice to formulate guidelines.
If we do not have coal power then we can investigate cadmium, and arsenic in our rice (fertilizer).

Hackers, Holidays, Homing Folder and Homing In

Hackers, Holidays, Homing Folder and Homing In
Definitions.
Hacker (term), a contentious term used in computing for several types of person
C1. Hacker (computer security) or cracker, who accesses a computer system by circumventing its security system
C2. Hacker (hobbyist), who makes innovative customizations or combinations of retail electronic and computer equipment
C3. Hacker (programmer subculture), who shares an anti-authoritarian approach to software development now associated with the free software movement
Hackers and Holidays
I refer to the category C1 in here since this is the holiday time and all the developers with FOSS mentality are holidaying and enjoying the Christmas, the shady guys become active by default during holidays.
I won't go into detail of how manage your security which has to be the responsibility of the individual.
If one leave the back door open, thieves will walk in.
You have two back doors unlike in a house.
1.The biggest of it is YOUR EMAIL with a loose password.
2. Unsuspecting back door is your browser with cookies to spy on your likes and dislikes
3. The deadliest is the combination of the two thieves.
YOU sign in and forget to sign off.
The second thief, the browser keeps a memory of your log in and often the encrypted password.
The best security I advise is not to have an email and not to browse the WEB but take a nice story book of your liking or get  your Amazon's Kindle or Noble eBook and read during the holidays.
If you cannot resist both of the above vices, I have a few tricks up my sleeve for you, with the hacker's mentality in me ignited.
Have two browser or may be three with Amazons silk included.
Go for a light weight browser, Midori,  Ice Weasel type your simple activity.
Then have any Gorilla Type of browser with your liking.
Then you have to do your own hacking.
Go to the properties and take all the cookies out or decommission them for good.
I have tried all the other methods but this the best remedy, I have found for the holidays.
I of course do a full format by the end of December of in January.
With so many Linux distribution is store already downloaded, I have to toss a coin and select the first five.
If you are PARANOID (It is a disease many of us, especially westerners have when they come here on holidays here and do not recognize as it is and become non-human) what one has do is to download a live Linux CD with TOR (to RAM) in it and use it at lib.
There are many including Pollipix.
If you are in a country with a dictator running the day to day affairs these are a added security.
Do not PLEASE use the D.O.Ds L.P.S (Light Portable Linux) even by accident an it is only for Russian Secret Service KGB developed by American CIA .
This distribution is worse than your email and the Gorilla browser and it sends all your transactions to a web-eavesdropper without your knowledge.
HOME FOLDER
This is where all your junk is. What you do with your junk is your own pejorative.
Best defense mechanism is to not to have a home or home folder but become a vagrant or a vagabond.
Homing In
Switch off the computer.
Go to the up market.
By some wine, beer, cookies, chocolates, music CD (NO VIDEO PLEASE) and anything else you may think that Santa Claus won't bring for YOU and Home In and enjoy with your dear ones.
Unfortunately the holiday won't last long, so make best use of it now.
For me because of our industrial action, this is the shortest holiday we have had for a long time, I can remember.
I made another mistake beginning of this year.
That is to blog a piece a day which I kept till now except one day.
I am glad I missed one in the very beginning so that I got out of the regimented or the religious enthusiasm.
Both are bad for your health and the sense of humour.
I am hoping to dream a lot and i will be back with some dreams (only if i dream some good ones).
Till then Good Bye and special thanks to Linux Guys/Girls who made 20th birthday of Linux in September a happy occasion for me to write few books on Linux too.
in out 21st birthday, the KILLER organization called Cloud Computing will emerge and only UBUNTU is ready with the challenge.
Special thanks to Ubuntu for Ubuntu One and UNITY desktop.
I am waiting to buy a Tablet but this is the only godforsaken (Sri-Lanka--Ceylon) country where they try open private universities but have not allowed (unofficial ban) Amazon wireless service for me to read a Kindle (not even my books in Kindle) Fire this Christmas when I am bored with our Media (both private and government).
Reason for this unofficial ban of Amazon probably is due to the Eduction Department won't be able to donate the books (20 years outdated-some of them especially IT and Science) they publish with religious vigour to unsuspecting students.
Postscript.
I forgot to tell you when you are asked to fill up a PHP form and not a Zombie but Human, the coockie want show up as desired (you have already removed) the alphanumerical or the phrase and you are not able to sign up witht the web page, if you use the big browser.
Then you ought to go to your tiny winy browser and that will do the needful but do not try to remove the bare essentials ( do not try to hack the toddler browser essentials) of the tiny browser you are using.

I have edited this with grml (Debian based Genome) i downloaded few minutes ago.
Few months ago grml was only terminal with lot of editors.
Now it has a desktop that one start with startx.
Both the browser and the live CD is fast and breezy.
That is what one gets when one shed heavy armor in all the Gorilla browsers.
All of them are SLOW and LAZY.

Sabayon-7.0-Linux Update

Sabayon-7.0-Linux Update
If one is fed up with the chnges happening with Ubuntu one has an escape route.
It is sabayon Linux.

Sabayon is Gentoo derivative and has working XBMC as a media center.
Gnome three for me is much better front than Unity as it is now.
Sabayon has LXDE,XFCE,KDE and Gnome.
For me a KDE convert new Gnome gives a very pleasing experience.
Sabayon is the most complete Linux distribution avaible currently.
It even beats PCLinux since PCLinux is still behind with the work for 64 bits architecture.
Unfortunately it is not cloud ready yet.

My top five are (in my order of choice are)

1. Pingue Linux
2. Ubuntu Unity and its derivatives including Ultimate Linux and Ultimate Linux gamer.
3. Sabayon
4. PClinux Fullmonty.
5. Suse / Fedora

Mind you I have not mentioned my favorites.
They are Puppy Linux, Knoppix and DEBIAN.
There 95 more Linux distributions and i have all of them with in my archive for demonstrations.
I am fond of all of them equally and if i did not mentioned those 95, they are mentioned here at parafox and asokaplus.
You are free to browse them.
Reason for choosing Ubuntu is its ablity have its nose in front and being proactive with Cloud Computing.
It is behind with Sinhala but blame goes to Sri=Lankan polity we were prctising war games and still spread hate philosophy 2 years after and we have no time for our mother toungue with Linux.
Nobody should blame for lack of Sinhala but thanks to Anuradha Debian has Sinhala Capability.

Onyx64-Ubuntu Unity Derivative

Onyx64-Ubuntu Unity Derivative
Onyx64 has done honours to Unity desktop and in 2.1 Gib it has picked everything including XBMC.
Only missing thing is Ubuntu One Cloud facility.
It has messed up a bit with workplaces but I could open four different applications and freely pick and drop into any of the four available workplaces.
One has to double click to get to full view and one cannot close an application when they are in in workplace mode framed down since the mouse cannot locate exit button.
It has compiez which nice graphic effects.
XBMC freezes the mouse in exit mode one has to wait few minutes till it exit completely.
It is a Gentoo derivative but if you want to use it download Sabayon and install only media center for use.
It takes an awful lot of graphic memory that is why it freezes.
Overall if you want to Unity experience this one is for you.
If you want XBMC go for Sabayon.

Ubuntu Unity Experience-11.10-Update

I think then the "Ubuntu Bashing" that is going on is coming from not Linux users but by windows guys.
First of all I never used Ubuntu for my regular work.
I did not like when it disposed of root log in and that was the very reason I never used it on regular basis, coming from Redhat base.
I have used many Linux distribution and my Linux 100 was an attempt to highlight many distributions as possible.
Even though I did not use Ubuntu, every time a new Ubuntu comes I download the new image test it and keep it as an archive.
The other two I regular downloaded were Puppy and Knoppix.
Then I went into full gear and I started downloading every possible Linux from Turnkey to eyeOs.
After all this, one thing I must make it clear.

Every time a new Ubuntu come it was much better than the previous best Linux except my idiosyncrasy or the basic nuance no root log in.
Ubuntu 10 is pretty good and its L.T.S 10.04.3 is a very stable distribution.
The we have lot of Ubuntu derivatives out there of which Ultimate Linux and Ultimate Linux Gamers scored heavily on my point scheme.
What is most striking for me was Ubuntu was Cloud Ready from its version 9.
Now the Ubuntu One has over million users.
Now I believe there are over 10 times or may be 20 times Ubuntu users worldwide.
That is 10 to 20 million users.
Most remarkable achievement of Ubuntu was it was the distribution that made some impact on Microsoft.
So bashing Ubuntu now using UNITY is the game they (windows guys) play in tandem with some not so regular Linux users.
I think Ubuntu is going from strength to strength and its Unity for me is pretty good and novel experience.
I LOVE that experience.
Managing change even in business world is difficult.
I think Ubuntu should hire a small team to manage this change. That will come good on the long run.
Its web site is doing an excellent JOB.
Visit it if you have time.
I for one join that team to promote all Ubuntu derivatives especially Unity and Cloud Service.
Not only that it is making Linux Mint popular.
I see that as a good byproduct and a very good plus factor for Ubuntu and a market hype.
Both are Debian derivatives and they indirectly make a slow moving Debian also target for newbies.

It is all good for Linux.
My worry is that the other 97 Linux I promote are not given a hearing due to this HYPE.
There is another good one on the market which I am currently downloading (very slow with only one seeder) and it is called Onyx64.
If you are bored visit my blogspot here.
Please do not forget Knoppix, Puppy my favorite and PCLinux FullMonty.
Do not forget EyeOS and EyeNUX.
This time even Suse has a done an excellent job and its derivatives that one can make from SUSE STUDIO is another attraction.
LINUX is well ahead of all the other commercial distributions (including ANDROIDS), come this Christmas.
The best Christmas gift one can give this time round is Linux from UNITY to VANITY.
Thank you Guys/Girls (developers), your hard work is paying dividends.

My Plant Bioindicators

My Plant Bioindicators
We are fast loosing the bird species.
With them we lose the seeders or birds who disseminate seeds.
Over the past few years I have designated few plants the go through a rough patch of dry weather and survive.
1. My number one is pipal tree.
2. My number two is pineapple plant which in few years time i am going to tree as an ornamental plant.
Now I know it can live up to 100 years if we do care for it.
3. My number three is cocoa plant.
4. My number four are the array of citrus plants. I have three or four varieties and none of them had flowers, I have observed them for three years.
None of them died.
I do not know why they are not flowering.
I was very much interested this time since like onion in India suddenly the price of lemon hit the roof.
5. The Indian jasmine plant is another candidate but I do not know why it does not let a young one grow from a shoot in its neighborhood still attached to the mother plant. i was successful getting a sapling once i severed its connection with only two slender roots.
Mother nature is intriguing.
It is very difficult to predict how the plants behaves in a community.
There is lot I have to learn about the "neighborhood forest" i am living with.
Learning about the rain forest is a daunting task.
But destroying it is easy by having a roadway built on its perimeter or through nature.
Those who built roadways and allow banana growers to grow banana for Americans are actually nature vultures.
They have gone bananas.

Water Logics

Water Logics
Most of the information fed into this book is based on observations, some casual and some smart but simple scientific observations, which I have made over the past 20 years. If I did not make my observation for this year (2011) with almost drought in some parts of the country and equally bad floods and typhoons effecting the South of the country, this book would end up with unresolved conflict of interests and basic scientific concepts and tenets.

My observations

The observations are as good as gold and they are a good base for my water logic to end this book.
One must take one important factor into consideration.

Coal Power

This is the year with full commission of the Coal Power.
Most of my predictions in the past predictions were made on scientific grounds and have come true. For Coal Power my guess was I need at least another five years of observation for it to be of scientific in nature, value added and substantive.
My gut feeling says with one observations I have now, I need not wait for another 5 years, a long period in human terms to make feasible predictions and appropriate correction if there are any.
This year's observations are good enough to base physical and biological predictions.
One observation was of paramount importance.
This time the Indian Oriole did not go back.
I believe I spotted a young one probably born here, Indian Oriole to be precise, well before the approaching winter.
That simple observation is enough for me to base my predictions.
I am entitled to make prediction based on this observation without waiting for another five years.
Why the Indian Oriole did not go back?
It is no secret they move out in winter to escape bad weather and food scarcity.
But they invariably return to their base for breeding.
But not this time round.
Why?
1. The warm air currents heralding the Summer did not arrive from the North.
2. Warm air current remained almost constant throughout the year in Kandy and suburbs.
3. Birds were confused (at least one pair) to make a move.
4. Birds made an evolutionary interesting decision to base their breeding here.
5. That is the beginning of a new niche of endemicity and its evolution.
Why?
It was our  COAL POWER BOOM.
We were generating coal power (both oil and coal) electricity to make the short fall of rain and the lack of capacity of the water reservoirs.
We did not do that based on a scientific plan.
24 hour generation of coal power and the the resultant failure of normal movement of upper air currents had an effect this year.
The failure of normal movement of warm air currents that determined bird migration did not happen this time round due to constant warm air produced by Coal Power Plants.
The bird migrate towards the warm air atmosphere.
Our hills are not tall enough to cool the warm air generated by the 24 hour Coal Power generation.
They remained almost stagnant not circulating except upward movement and there was no lateral movement and air currents.
There was no need for them to migrate backward with constant warm air in the atmosphere.
They remained here and some of them even bred here, I believe.
That is of course the good news.
Now to the bad news.
This time inter-monsoonal rain did not come in its regular 10 to 14 day cycles.
They do not come in that pattern for number of years due to global warming.
They humidity of air remained high.
When the rain came it was unusually heavy.
There were flash floods.
This is very easy to explain.
With warm air, the volume of water vapour remaining in air to form clouds increased appropriately.
The delay or really the prolongation of short spells (10-14 day cycles in the past) to almost six (6) weeks interval of inter-monsoonal rain increased the amount or the volume of water vapor in the atmosphere to form clouds.
When the rain did come in about  6 to 8 weeks cycles they were unusually heavy.
All the necessary conditions were there for flash floods.
It did not rain.
It poured.
Now what is the contribution of coal power?
It hindered the natural cooling of air currents over our comparatively shorter hill (they are not Himalyas) side.
It is only about 6000 to 8000 feet ascent.
What was the end result?
The rain clouds bypassed Sri-Lanka and landed on Indian subcontinent unleashing flash floods with never known rain in some part of India.
This is another time we collaborated with India.
They should congratulate our energy planners for introducing Coal Power for the windfall of water to India.
Only other time we collaborated was at the last Cricket World Cup.
With the help of politicians meddling with cricket we helped India to win.
We were generous.
Why?
It is far better to make almost 2 billion Indians happy instead of 20 million here.
That is our benevolence for Indians.
Instead of worshiping the millions of gods they believe in, the Indians should turn towards Sri-Lanka and make Namaskaras to our politicians and the energy planners who advice them for the windfall of the rains they got.
If we did not generate coal power we would have had the normal inter-monsoonal rains in shorter spells (humidity and saturation were enough to form rain clouds) of time and the rain would have landed here instead of in India.
One must not forget that Sri-Lanka is a small island only of 140 miles across and at the high speed of winds in upper atmosphere even big rain clouds can pass across in half an hour and reach mainland of India in 4 hours to precipitate as rain.
We are even generous to donate our rain clouds to poor Indian farmers.
So make sure the excess grains you produce sell back to Sri-Lanka and make a profit in times of our needs.
The end results of coal power are many,
1. Increase the the rate of global warming.
2. Pollute our air we breath.
3. Interrupt our inter-monsoonal rain.
4. Donate rain clouds to Indian farmers.
5. Get the grain from India in return to feed our masses.
6. Divert Indian migrating Oriole to Sri-Lanka and make them breed here.
7. Develop a patten of species extinction by interfering with upper air currents and to make them breed here so that the brood will not have enough grain to feed themselves.
Only sure recipe I know of,  for cooling our atmosphere is the rain that comes during inter-monsoonal spells and it cools the air while taking away the soot and all the poisons in the air with it.
All these information mentioned above are copyrighted and if any scientist use them, at least have the curtsey's to acknowledge them as coming from simple observations of a doctor almost in retirement.

Solutions to overcome the lack of rain.

If I do not give solutions to the above problems our farmers may have to go through, I am a mis-informant, only good for the coffin sooner or later.
I will give the simplest to the more complex if the energy planners have the wisdom to institute them as a remedy.
They will prevent some of the maladies.
But global warming is a global issue.
We have to wait till year 2020 when America is ready to accept it as its own liability and culpability.
Simple Solutions.
1. Give up the 100% electricity dream.
2. Give up Coal power.
3. Revisit the wisdom of our old kings, water was the only asset we had and only asset we are going to have.
All the above can be achieved or disposed of without two third majority in the parliament.
More Complex Solutions.
1. Institute an ongoing study of how the air currents above our head (Sri-Lanka) behave.
2. Determine the factors that influence the air currents.
3. Till them generate Coal Power only during day time starting at 10 a.m and stop producing it at  4 p.m. when our shops close.
4. Use Hydroelectric power generation in the night.
The items 2 and 3 will simulate Natural Cooling Cycle (N.C.C) and minimize the effect of thermal power on natural cooling at night.
It will not bring 10 to 14 day cycles of yesteryear but at least minimize flash floods and heavy precipitation.
5. Come to a policy of 70% electricity sufficiency and declare zones of no electricity at all (not even gas/oil generated) covering at least 30% of the country's designated rain forest.
7. Energy Tax or Global Warming TAX (GWT-Gonnu-WannanTa AthaDheemaX) for every mile on gas/oil and not for electric cars.
8. The most ambitious project is to make Piduruthala-Gala tallest mountain range in Asia, even taller than the Himalaya by declaring a project to make it taller in 6 years.
This is my miracle dream.
It can be done by putting all the rubbish advertisement that are intended for the next round of elections.
The papers should be pasted over Piduruthla-Gala (ROCK) commencing this Christmas, 2011.
When the end of the world come true in 2012 or after we can climb up and watch it up to the heaven from there.
Everyone who voted for this two third majority government except Tamils (they should continue to go to Kataragama as usual) should make a pilgrimage to Piduruthala-Gala and paste the paper over it with a water resistant paste.
By the time of the next elections come,  it will be taller than the Himalaya and we will trap all the rain clouds.
We will be back to square one once again.

Dream 17 and its interpretation

Dream 17 and its interpretation
This dream was short but I was again in trouble.
The beginning of the dream was in real dreamy state.
I wasn't sure whether this happened in the kitchen or in the bed room.
I was doing something boring with my computer, I got up to to the pantry, to make a cup of tea.
Then I saw either kettle or the iron on the surface of the table which looked my bed plugged to the wall but nobody there and the gadget either kettle without water or the iron on full throttle.
What ever it was there was some impending danger.
My flash of memory was not me who left the gadget unattended buy my wife.
Mind you I am also very good at doing similar thing but this time no alibi to blame.
I quickly pulled the plug out but before I could do anything there was some flames coming under the gadget and in a second it spread all over.
I tried my best best to to damp it down but in a minute everything was on fire and my books and the some stuff I prepared for some urgent meeting was in flames.
I quickly ran calling to my wife and was looking for my dog, in case the fellow was caught up in the fire.
Before I could put the blame on my wife I was woken up visibly shaken up by the dream.
Then when I came to senses, I remembered of a similar incident in UK where the house of my friend was almost completely demolished and they were living in a temporary accommodation till the house was refurbished.
I remember they told by email by this Christmas they were likely to move in again and would be in Sri-Lanka for short holiday.
I attributed all this to that incident and try to go back to sleep but for some unknown reason I could not fall back to sleep again, which is usually automatic with another miner episodic dream.
In any case I decided to post this dream to Maha Brahma for subsequent details.
In the background of his voice mail I felt he was laughing meekly at me.
I asked him you we laughing at me aren't you?
Yes.
Why?
It is nice to see you when frightened and how silly you looked when trying to douche a minor flame.
You did all the stupid things one should not do at a scene of fire.
What?
1. Number one you were trying to find a culprit for the offense.
It could have been you yourself to be blamed in the first instance.
Never try to find a culprit at a scene of a crisis.
2. I pulled the plug out, didn't I?
That was the only sensible thing you did.
3. You took a cotton pillow and tried to hit the flame with it.
That was first thing that made me laugh.
4. Then you put the pillow on top of the fire and took some books and tried to thrash the fire.
I know you treasure your books and why the hell did you took a book in hand.
Did I?
YES.
May be my gut feeling and I only had to do something to protect my other books.
That is why I could not stop laughing.
5. Then you made a quick exit without closing the door.
6. You did not look where your dog was?
He usually sleep under your bed doesn't he?
That was naughty of you.
7. You were going for the throat of your wife and forgot about the dog, didn't you?
I suppose so.
I had to intervene in your dream, if it continued your wife would have thrashed your nut with a MoleGaha (with  a pestle).
That was the second part of the dream wasn't it?
YES.
Where did this happen?
In your bedroom and you were the culprit of leaving the iron switched on.
I don't iron my cloths usually.
But you were to attend a workshop on Linux as a resource person.
Don't con?
When they mention about Linux they have a hearty laugh at me, saying that MAD Linux DOCTOR.
He was poor in his medical knowledge that is why he talks about Linux.
Do they say so.
Unfortunately Yes, SIR.
I thought they respect for your wits.
Not anymore Sir, this new minister had made us look like stupid axxxss.
Really.
No I am thinking of leaving no sooner I get a better place.
Is it that bad.
YES.
But you had very good dreams when you were on strike know?
We have to go on strike again to have a good dreams, this time of course with a better salary structure, Sir
Don't be that optimistic, son.
You won't get anything better.
I know Sir, they are already withdrawn the 25% from some of the researchers.
Why?
Hidden clauses in the circular which they fail to to interpret favorably.
Did you have a protocol.
YES.
On what?
Linux?
Linux?
Yes.
Will I get the 25%.
You have to wait and see.
Or I see.
Aren't you interested about the interpretation of the dream?
Sorry Sir.
It is good news.
Your book on Cloud Computing will hit a niche in the cloud market.
You are going to be invited for a forum to discuss future plans for free software cloud strategy.
You are going to direct a Cloud Consortium.
You must stop buying books from now onwards.
Why?
Even yesterday I reserved book on philosophy of Science.
STUPID on YOU.
Stop buying BOOKS.
Wait for digital books and in future there is no place for paper books.
But I love books and their smell.
I cannot resist if I see a good book.
In that case only that book, NO MORE!
Cloud will have all your published books in digital form and the print format will go for few archives in central museums.
In 100 years from now your books will be chosen as the best of the last century by a panel of judges.
You will have to burn all your old books for firewood and nobody will read them.
That is why I said do not by any new books.
In any case I have to do that, Sir.
They are expensive and I cannot afford them.
So become a digital bionic, will you.
Are you writing any books.
Yes.
What are they?
Water Logic and Water Politics.
Loss of Biodiversity.
There were species called birds in this planet.
Air pollution.
They are all wonderful ideas and children 100 your from will call you not Santa Claus but Puppy Linux PUPPA and his stories.
No Santa Claus then?
YES.
See you soon
OK.

Pear-OS-Linux-Panther-Sinhala Install Capability

Pear-OS-Linux-Panther
Pear Os is a Ubuntu derivative which tries to simulate Apple Like features with with docky utility.
It is Debian based looks nice.
It has both 32 bi and 64 bit versions.
Reason for my entry here is, it can be installed in Sinhala.
Lately Ubuntu derivatives are trying it hard to get multi-language capability and Ubuntu's Unity experience has hindered this.
Currently only Debian has Sinhala capability and Fedora is also lagging behind because of its rapid changes.
Thank for trying hard on Sinhala.

Dream 16 and its interpretation

Dream 16 and its interpretation
This dream was short but I was in trouble.
I was trying to find a toilet for fast number ONE and not number TWO.
I was on a holiday of some sort in an unfriendly remote corner of the earth.
Place looked like Alaska.
It would have been in Alberta or on Alaska looking for tar sand or rare metal deposits.
Trouble was I could not find a self contained cubicle to do that job out of sight and out of open view.
Finally I found a place without the roof but only the squatting plate made in marble.
A posh site without bystanders and also without a roof in open air.
It got to be Alaska or Alberta.
Then I sat down but its size and proportions made me to realize it was not made for a man of my size but probably for an elephant.
The second problem was to find a little plastic container to fetch some water to do the final bottom clean up.
Unlike, the guys and girls of the west who use paper toilet we still prefer the wet toiletry and getting wet in the process.
Finally I found a thrash can, in actual fact three in number placed one on top of the other.
It looked like a vessel left by a pre-historic man and it had almost fossilized.
I dug it up from the snow.
I was finally ready armed to the teeth as it were, now ready for the plunge or the big DROP.
I was figuring out how to make a simple do and quick exit before somebody click an ireport on my exploits on a hitherto barren land and send it to CNN for a quick FLASH of NEWS.
But I was rudely interrupted by a guy who looked to me like 5 star janitor wearing something which looked like a spacesuit which I had never seen before.
It was of bright golden colour.
Other strange thing was he looked like he never touched the ground as if he was levitating.
He splashed a golden creamy stuff which looked like egg shampoo to me on the marble floor and then splashed double the amount of the stuff on the bath tub / tiny water pool and turned round in a flash towards me, telling me, that I should position my feet on the correct alignment marked by what looked like to me elephant footprints and to my amazement he was trying to positioned my feet (not my bottoms on the correct trajectory).
It was strange feeling.
I was trying my bottoms in correct alignment in this massive cesspit but he was trying to get my feet aligned and he was about to hold one of my feet and I felt ticklish and embarrassed.
Next thing I knew was I was holding my right foot with one hand and the other hand on my bottoms to see whether I had some accidental runs in my sleep.
Nether.
Woke up but not in need for any voids.
In any case in my half dreamy state I walked to the toilet and tried the big one.
No need.
Tried the number TWO, a tiny dribble.
I soon realized I was only dreaming and quickly went back to my bed for the second round of my sleep without any interruption from dreams or mosquitoes.
I am hard for a good dream and Maha would be equally pleased to interpret this in any case, decided to email it when I am up and in correct senses.
True to his character he answered the dream in KIND.
I asked him was there a second part.
NO he said.
Is it futuristic?
Yes he said.
Was it Alaska?
NO.
Where was it?
Can't you guess?
It got to be heaven!
It got to be me going to heaven?
I am not suppose to tell that to you in advance.
It was very dull dream, I reflected on it.
No son, it is a very good one.
In case if you want to come here it god for you to know the heaven protocol, Isn't it?
Yes Sir.
Are there marble toilets in heaven?
We really like marble floors on toilets.
Eve on our final resting places on earth are marble floored and lined, I told him.
The last thing you see before you leave earth and say good bye to, is toilets.
We do not have toilets in heaven.
But we have a small area designated for earthlings just before you enter heaven.
What you saw in your dream is the quarantine in practice.
Who was that guy doing the quarantine?
He was a guy working in the parliament in Ceylon.
He was the one who used to remove all the offensive language before entering in the hanzard.
Is that enough to enter heaven.
Yes.
In that case no parliament MP enters the heaven.
Yes.
Thank god for telling that truth.
Shall I tell you the protocol before entering the heaven.
Yes, SIR.
We have 10 steps to proper quarantine at the gate of heave.
I will gave that in a list form.
OK, Sir.
Protocol before entering heaven for earthling.
1.  First we give Bowel Wash.
2.  Hand Wash and body wash
3.  All Food in your bowel washed out during stage one are incinerated.
4.  Then Head Wash
Most of these items are done by the funeral directors, aren't they?
Yes but still we prefer a follow up clean.
5. Brain Wash washing the brain of rubbish that are put on you by the psychologists
Under hypnosis a psychologist on earth will tell you that one swallows 3 to 10 spiders a night on an average.
This type of false propaganda has to be washed out completely.
6. Brain Drain is a technique to get all redundant information like
Positive thinking
Creative brain
Logical brain
Lateral brain
Use 10% of the Brain
Then we drain all the psychological theories put on your brain by management trainers on earth.
They are all rubbish and has no validity on heaven.
This is the most difficult part of the clean up process.
The I told him we spend enormous amount of these trainer training programs.
That is not my problem.
But if you can avoid these American programs it is so much the better if you consider entering heaven.
You mean to say lot of Americans will never sight the heaven.
TRUE my dear.
What about their M.B.As and Emotional intelligent training, they teach in HARVARD.
They are useless in heaven.
7. Brain Train
Then we train them to think.
After the above seven we start on Moment Meditation.
I was very good at present moment meditation training and since I am very short of memory especially the past..But I am very bad at Metta Meditation since i do not have any enemies in heaven. In my past lives I had only friend and that was a long period.
That is why I am very bad at Metta Meditation.
That is why I asked you to tell me how to practice Metta to enemies.
8. Present Moment Meditation
I do it myself.
9. Metta Meditation.
I actually delegate this part to earthlings who come here.
But when I saw the nice aura around your vertex, I was naturally inquisitive.
10. Trained Brains Train for other earthly beings.
Then when we get those Trained Brained Guys (T.B.G) from earth come here and  asked me for big favours, I put them in a TRAIN and put one of their guys to on control room and take a break.
These clever guys on earth must get to very good places in heaven, won't they?
NO.
What?
They drive themselves to HELL.
HELL!
Yes.
Don't you realize that one needs very little brain to enter heaven.
You only need a big brain to hoodwink another big brain.
That is necessary only on earth.
Not in heaven.
Don't be too brainy and he disappeared.
