Space,Travel, Infinity of Mind

This piece is bizarre and has no earthly bound limitations.

In fact, beyond the limitation of physics.

This discussion is not limited by space and gravity.

This is to bring out the concept of Rebirth in relative and comparative terms.

The Kamma is its associate, the two sides of the coin, as it is.

There is a Mongolian belief that dogs have many lives beyond one single life.
They also carry forward memories of their past lives and are born again as dogs.

There is a good film *Purpose of Dogs*

I disagree here and my "born/bone of contest" is that, most dogs are born as celestial beings (Buddhist terminology of Godly beings) or gods.

They easily bypass the mundane human life having lived with them long enough to understand how nasty a human being can be.

Biden, Putin and Zelensky and there followers are good examples that dogs have studied, on their own ways.

Killing opposing beings and eating flesh are their form of liberal life.

They have their own form of gods and sects and the priests walk with the soldiers to kill the fellow humans and the Pope keeps numb due to simple disagreement in textural scripts.

Mongolians follow a form of Buddhism that gives credence to rebirth and meditation.

It is bit different from Tibetan Buddhism in which the term reincarnation has a special meaning and they all try to become Buddhas. It is bit far fetched attempt and somewhat  antagonistic to simple Buddhism where Kamma and Rebirth explains the outcomes and "the casting away" can be done by less vigorous means by becoming an Arhath.

Rebirth cannot be proved but it cannot be denied.

That is my premise here.

There is a Western myth that Buddhism is a philosophy.

I dispense the philosophical connotation outright, to begin with.

In the East, no philosophy has any roots simply because of Hindu belief in creator gods of many kinds.

Buddhism is not a religion, in the sense of the Western and Middle Eastern beliefs where by following the gospel of a mythical god one can redeem oneself and achieve salvation in only one life time or form.

Eternal damnation to hell is unethical on human terms!

Buddhism is a way of life but that way of life is little bit difficult and advanced.

One reaps the benefit of good and bad Kamma.

One cannot escape and the rounds of births are there eternally to salvage good and bad without counsel of gods or elders supervising the outcome.

Buddhism starts with not killing any life including animal life.
It has four simple rules.
Indulgence in alcohol is not in that four and I believe it was added much later into the system.

The Arhants have only 10 very simple precepts.

Eating one main meal a day is one of them.

Vegetarianism is a simple byproduct.

I need to make some reference to Harry Potter series of films to begin with.

Creative and Imaginative but not Inspiring.

I never read any of these fictional books being a man of science.

Being an old time paediatrician that ended up as a gaeriatrician in later life, bringing fear and phobias to kids' mind is no good at all, bordering pathetic depression in them.

I strongly oppose killing opposing imaginative creatures and witches.

I do not want to be born like any of those imaginative beings.

I sometime I think the author of these books in a previous life form was born as a demon to relive them in this life.

I do not mind she living with these miseries in this life but exposing them to young kids is pathological.

I have no objection adults reading them and become killers themselves in war of some form.

Coming back to Title of this piece;

We are one gravity beings with somewhat limited capacity.
We cannot live on the moon with less gravity than on the earth.
We cannot live on Mars with more than one gravity.

No gravity is anathema to all human physiology.

I do not see that it is difficult to land on Mars but forming colonies thete is a another kettle of fish.

We need to design new form of transport which alien beings possess.

Aliens are no gods but advanced humanoids.

The space vehicles are most likely driven by radiation obtained from elements above 112.

Elements above 110 are possible in some galaxies.

Now coming to Mind itself.

1. Mind is the best vehicle to travel the Universe.

2. Mind is a mystery.

3. Some meditation techniques can achieve momentary state of  escape from the brain.
However, the mind's attachment to brain is very strong and this escape mode is like an illusion.

This is one reason I oppose any form of meditation.

Live this life in wakeful state!

Be mindful every moment of life.

Be happy.

4. According to Buddhism there are 30 types of celestial beings who live in almost eternal bliss.

5. They have achieved them through vigorous form of meditation and become strongly bonded to these live forms and they believe that state!s is/are eternity.

That is a form of delusion worse than living as a human being with all its discomforts and limitations.

6. All are temporary states of bliss.

7. That brings us to "The Uncertainty Principle".

8. That is the entry point to Dhamma.

I leave it at that point but "Somanassa Chitta' without attachment is the base to real bliss.

New Hope for the Changing World

This piece is based on the thinking of Bertram Russell.

According to him Carl Marx was a great (political) philosopher.

The word political I substituted and has no substantial meaning.
I have not read Karl Marx and let me leave at that.

Most of my adult thinking was shaped by reading his books when young.

Buddhism even though had moral outlook, I did not bother reading.
Besides it was in Pali a language I know very little.
I am almost certain, Sinhala originated from Pali having distorted Pali of its core meaning,

Buddhism opposed war at any cost and I was born in to the free world with NO War.
Then, suddenly (American geared war in the middle east for petrol money) the war in Middle East from 1968 to 1973 for domination of petrol assets changed the world.
Israel is an American proxy backed by UK.

War in Ceylon was again an American proxy aided by Indian RAW from 1983 to 2009 was simply to dominate Trade Route.
It was all war of attrition and it created the current debt crisis in which China has very big interest.

Coming back to Bertram Russell, philosophy not religion had more attractive to me (with or without formal teaching in philosophy).
However, science was my base.

My current attraction to Professor De Bono and his "Beautiful Mind" tagged  probably with compassion has no place in the current world.

I never read Carl Marx and I am still looking for his book I (English translation), De Capital.

He divided the people to proleterate (working class) and burshewa (business or ruling class).

According to Russell, Carl Marx fomented anger.

The result was rise of communism in Russia and China.

As a free thinker he opposed communism but ironically, his opposition to Christianity made him to land and hide in Russia in ?1920s.

He was 4 years old when the First World War started.
He was sent to prison for opposing the world war I.

He hated World War I but was ambivalent to Second world War.

Probably he hated Germans without expressing it in public.

He strongly opposed to Vietnam war and was sent to prison again.

Russians hating Neo Nazis in Ukraine is natural and inborn tenfency.

He in fact, he predicted the Third World War.

He could not say from where but would have thought Americans would engineer it.

Yes Americans have done it, again.

Why?

Inborn jealousy to all Russians and its proud long history.

We are now, in the thick of it.

Its consequence are going to be catastrophic.

However, he had an optimistic World View and thought mankind will eventually come to senses in the distant future by opposing all form of wars.

He said he cannot predict when that will come.

Perhaps with Nuclear War looming his prediction will never come to fruition in our life time.

That is an irony mankind has failed to grasp.

More weapon to Ukraine will bring Peace without any cost to Western Hegemony.

Not a reset but a new world order would emerge in the East.

You Tube Killing Itself - News Reporting

I will repeat a wise saying by Sir Bertram Russell, at the end of this note.

Bear with me.

Yes, You Tube is killing itself.
It is not a news outlet but a commercial outpost.

The Google the parent company is asking me to register for a new splashy outfit.

I have decided to say good bye to you tube.

It is a cesspit!

I am looking for an alternative and brisk preferably text based NEWS n Simple English.

There a few.

Gradually they are coming good.

Why Google is failing?

1. Like Microsoft it is bulky for no reason.

2. It wants it to be commercially expanded.

3. Its users or guys using it are becoming self born pundits who are  addicted to prejudices.

4. Google and YouTube demonizes the opposing to CIA and FBI wishes.

5. It is no longer neutral!

Addiction to money is not a good habit.

I once wished to make a YouTube video on Linux but decided not to.

It is counterproductive.

All coding in Linux is in text mode and its kernel has millions of lines and it provides a platform free for all its developers.

There are no commercial incentives.

Linux thrives due to that freedom.

If Linux went on commercial path it would have been a death knell for it success.

Mind you Google is Linux based but commercial.

I am happy I get over thousand hits per week on my text based posting here.

Posting  are mainly on Linux and politics, religion and science I have excluded.

Coming to Bertram Russell he once said;

For intellectual expression there are two vital elements.

1.Get the facts right.

2. What is the use of the factual knowledge.

In his view for moral expressions two ingredients are vital.

Love for his / her fellow beings.
Absence of hate.

I think Zelensky hate Russians.
He is a proxy of UK and USA.

Americans and British hate Russians for no reason.

Putin is reciprocating not in kindness but with overwhelming power of missiles.

He loves Russians and only a few his felloe beings in the front line.

Rest is on defensive lines.

If Russians cross the line of defence it is the end of Ukraine and a curse for the Poland.

Restraint on both sides is waning.

We are fast approaching Catastrophe!

One can take a refurbished smart phone and install Lineage OS instead of Android OS.

Elive Linux -Pretty Good

Elive Linux is out.
It is pretty good.

I just downloaded the 64 bit version which is compatible with 32 bit computers.

 

It is 3.9GB.

It has Gparted.

It configures WiFi effortlessly. 

It can make a persistent bootabale system on a USB.

Its installer is bit different.

It has its own package store.

I can get AbiWord.

It has open office.

It has Conky and Cairo desktop.

Only problem for me was its dark theme with my eyesight failing was a bit of a problem.

It has the looks of Netrunner which I use.

I have no hesitation of recommending it to a newbie but having a bit of Linux experience is welcome.

Elive was one of my heart throbs during 32 bit version time with its glaring desktop effects with minimum of RAM usage.

The original developer is with the team and crowd funding is mandatory for it to stay active.

 

Language and Dialect

Language and Dialects are two things.

One kills the meaning of the other.

I must start with one (Ranjith Ruberu) who was an excellent cricket commentator who had the correct balance and the command in spoken and written language.

In addition he had a sweet voice over the radio.

Unfortunately, his name is not in the list of cricket commentators in Wikipedia.

He came from my neighbourhood and was very polite and an unassuming man.

When ever, I see him on the road we exchanged pleasantries and he passed away few years ago in 2015 at the age of 75.

I may be wrong but I think he had an excellent command in French language,too.

The word ricochet, I picked up from him.

Please do not confuse Aubrey Kuruppu with Professor Ranjith Ruberu whose voice was not pleasant.

Please substitute Aubrey Kuruppu to Ranjith Ruberu above.

When I was in Science Prep I, he (Ranjith Ruberu) came to my class to teach Botany in Sinhala and I hated him from that time.

He had translated a Botany Text to Sinhala and he was doing a salesman job in our school.

I decided to do Science in English (5 others joined me) and the rest of my stupid classmates continued in Sinhala Medium and none entered the University.

I have to bare some secrets here.

My English was not good then (even now) but my understanding of science concepts was outstanding.

I decided to answer Botany and Zoology in Sinhala at the moment of answering the Advanced Level.

I was registered as a English Medium student and I asked the invigilator if, I could switch to Sinhala.

The flow of Science Ideas in Sinhala was so fluid and instantaneous (having digested the books in English).

My mother tongue was Sinhala.

By the way, I answered Physics and Chemistry in English (technically easy).

I was a fast reader.

I even read the book "POWER" by Bertram Russell with a dictionary by my side.

That habit extends to my twilight years. 

That prudent decision made me to enter the University, first time round.

I was the only one who was qualified for Medicine from all four science classes (over 200 students).

Of course, I decided  to improve my English long before entering the University.

Coming back to professor of botany,  he did not have the guts to oppose the politicians asking the dons to (switch to Sinhala abruptly) teach Science in Sinhala in 1960s.

It was antithetic to me and I was instrumental in opposing this tragic injustice to Ceylonese students, many years later when I entered as a Seconded Officer to the University and later as a teacher in Pathology.

Aubrey Kuruppu was his name.

Please leave Ruberu as it is but substitute Aubrey Kuruppu, instead.

He was an honours graduate in English in Peradeniya University and was the coordinator of the English Language Unit of the Faculty of Arts.

Mind you this English Department was ruined (abolished) by J.R.J including the Department of Pali when he became the  President (for political reasons of his own).

Slanting my piece to language and dialects, Kandy had three foreign language units in my time and I did not attend any except the British Council Library.

I literally read all Science books and Magazines including those not recommended for A Level.

We had a USIS Library, too. It had good computer books but nothing in science.

That may be the reason, I am very good at Linux and Linux Commands, now (Linux was not in existence then but Unix).

There was a Unit of Asia Foundation, too.

All are no more except British Council Language Unit.

Kandy gave adequate  importance to foreign languages, then but not now.

The German center is no more.

Language was not my interest but Science.

I improved my English by listening to Cricket commentaries in English, BBC News and Panorama, over the Radio.

Reading Daily News was a habit and we had excellent journalists and editors.

Listening to cricket in Sinhala is a pain  in the axxxz!

I had a good ear and thankfully there were no TVs, then.

It is a scientific truth that TV is bad for students when learning.

I have my reservation on AI and Video conferencing.

In UK I had to pass the Standard English Test which was not a barrier.

The English Test in New Zealand was horrible.

In addition, I had to pass all 2nd, 3rd and Final MBBS subjects at the age of 43, within two years of entering New Zealand.

Another reason, I hate New Zealand.

Coming to UK, I did not have any problem obtaining jobs.

But I hated all the dialects.

Yorkshire accent, Jodi, Welsh, Scottish, Irish  and Cockney dialects were not soothing to my ears.

New Zealand accent was the worst.

I kept to Aubrey Kuruppu's vision for English as a language and not as a dialect.

I never imitated their accents and kept to my Simple (Royal) English which was not an asset but a simple way of communication.

Communication skills are essential in clinical practice and in addition, I gave clearly written instructions in Ceylon and abroad.

No ASPIRIN after Tonsillectomy came good in New Zealand.

One woman after tonsillectomy was given aspirin by a local resident and she bled a lot almost to her death.

She almost chocked in her own blood.

By the way, my French is horrible.
 

Kali Linux

I have very little to write about Kalu Linux.
In fact, I hate it since it violates Linux Principles.
Linux was not created to hate each other.
It is a supporting community.
I love my privacy and I respect others privacy.
Password cracking is an Indian and Chinese game.

It is vulgar!

Do not use DeepIn from China, too.

Why I hate New Zealand

New Zealand is a country of scenic beauty but it's islanders are downright racist except a few.

I went there from UK with a job in hand and their emigration officers are the worst.

I went there with the hope of staying there for 3 years and thereafter working myself to Australia.

The idea was to work in Northern Territories  of Australia.

Australian ingenious people have similarities to Ceylonese Vaddhas  and I did want to investigate, in my own way.

I think Ceylon was a big continent and it vanished after a big meteorite hit, leaving a tiny bit, jutting India.

That is my Theory!

It never had any connection to India and if at all it was connected to Australia.

I am not sorry for being brute.

1. Apart from being racist their English dialect was hopeless to say the least.
I could not understand having come from UK.

2. In technology wise they were primitive and I could not find a good TV or TV Deck.

Instead, I rented one.

3. It rains a lot.

4. It is windy.

Thankfully no gloves but my rain cape from UK was good enough.

5. It is situated in a major fault line and earth quake prone.
One of the biggest earth quakes of Richter scale 7.2 hit it when I was there and I was thrown out of the bed in mid day (sleeping after night duty) and was rudely woken up.

With after tremors I could not sleep for 6 weeks and left New Zealand soon after.

Thankfully my family was sent home 6 weeks before.

6. I was covering work for there doctors and was underpaid.
In fact, I was made to work more than (40 plus was base but I exceeded 72 hours) the labour stipulations.

I threatened to take them to court.

When I left never to return, they could not find a guy to replace me.

7. New Zealanders are basically lazy.

They retire at 50.

8. Then there was guy called MEAT (not a Meat Grinder) who came back from UK having worked as a retail salesman in the garment industry who did not have proper credentials to work in a hospital and telling me how to function in my capacity as a resident senior doctor.

His only objective was saving money and tests.

He was piece of cake for me.

9. The basic retirement pay was equal and I had no intention of retiring at 50.

10. I came home and joined the University and worked until 66 years of age.

11. I always returned and had a holiday in UK in the 1970s - 1980s but I never did return to New Zealand.

I had the VISA form filled for the entire family and a cheque written for $685/=  but never posted it.

12. My file/s at the VISA office was the biggest bundle they ever had.
Heavy Weight class by my choice of countering every decision they made against me and my family.

I blasted the lady senior officer at the main office  and said I am paying from my pocket for my son's eye surgery and she would have to answer my lawyer not me in future.

She promptly sent my passport back.

13. There were no Macdonald and Kentucky Chicken but only fish and chips which I hated.

14. By the way, I met a few good people including Resident Ceylonese who used to beat me in poker games.

15. Eye Surgeon was the best!

16. If you are a lazy guy it is a good country to retire!

17. They probably have more sheep and cows than humans.

18. The Otira volcano erupts frequently and air pollution is common.

19. Some part of New Zealand have radioactive deposits and some carry a Geiger Counter in their cars.

20. Some unknown reason they believe in Aliens and there are unconfirmed stories to that effect.
My interest in aliens probably started there.

21. Salesgirl in New Zealand stole the electronic dictionary I bought for my daughter under  8 years.She hid out of my sight when loading the rest of the buys.

It was the only unit in the store and it was bit expensive. I checked it to give it to my daughter, having come out of the shop and it was missing.
I went inside an showed the receipt and said it was missing.
The manager took her side and did not even record my complaint.
I said never mind I won't come back to your shop until this girl was summarily dismissed.

Do not bother about my money or the unit she can have as a gift from me.
But I hate stealing!

I did not tell him but in my mind I said to myself I am leaving this country.

22. Majority of males and females were obvious homosexual and that was the final trigger.
I missed a large perianal abscess of a homosexual young man of 22 years twice.
His complaints were hip and knee joint pains and he was ashamed to declare his orientation or real site of pain.

On a Sunday (I was off) I got a call from my senior consultant to come to the ward.
He was on his tommy and he showed me the full extent of the abscess and smiling told me beware homosexuals in this country.

I told him I am not a homosexual and I did not figure it out.
I will put my foot in next time.

The saying is, if you do not put your finger in you may have to put your foot in later.

That is one should examine the rectum in every patient.

23. Majority of yoing adults are drug adicts in New Zealand and very violent.
I do not mind smoking amd alcohol.

24.There was a young guy who used to fake injury to his thumb to get ACC compensation.

On the third attempt I did sign the form and said he is faking injury and should not be paid ACC.
I never saw him again but would have gone to another hospital.

25. They come out in raw filth in the hospital and I give one warning and if they do not comply call the police as a case obstruction to work.

26. One day a drug addict had a major convulsion in the casualty. I was hesitant to administer anticonvulsants but admitted him.
He refused admission but I call the police and admitted him.
Police told me he was a wanted man they were looking for five more.
I said they will come to visit him in the ward and I will tell the nurse to call police direct.
Obstruction to work and sure enough they got all of them.

27. At times I felt I am taking a big risk and one day these guys off from police custody target me outside the hospital with violence.
So l have no regrets leaving New Zealand after two years.

28. I hate beer but love French Wine.
New Zealand had only two local wines and
they were flavorless.
They were cheap but I always purchased French Stuff.
I was an alcoholic and weaned myself, the past 8 years.
My pension is not enough to buy good stuff.

29. Everybody gets the same pension at 50 years.
I hate that protocol and I needed a pension to suit my salary at retirement.

30. New Zealand allowed all the guys / girls who supported apartheid but when it came to Ceylonese there were lot of barriers.
I could not get my mother in law to baby to my kids.
She was stopped at Singapore airport and returned home.
I had bought a ticket to Christ Church.
Singapore airline however refunded part of the airline fee.
Ticket fare was expensive.
They violated the free visitor passage for 6 months to any country provided there is financial support.
I could support her for even two years.

Postscript.
My comments are not biased.
I fought every inch of my Fundamental Rights.
They even violate simple human rights.
That is why I had a heap of a file/s at the Immigration.
I do not regret not having permanent VISA.
I am planning to visit my old Ceylonese soon.

Tails is a Linux distribution which one can carry in a USB stick.

Minimum of 4GB is recommended for a persistent volume.

If a good password is used to log in, even if one loses the USB stick one cannot use it.

If your government is spying on you this is the distribution to use.

1. It uses its own TOR browser which does not store ISP or WiFi location.

2. A stands for Amnesia or loss of memory.

3. It is a Debian based Live Distribution.

4. It leaves behind a blank slate.

5.It is FREE.

I do not think it has games.

American War Politics, Until End of 2024

I am going to sign off posting political stuff here, until the election fever is over.

I do not want to hint bright and scientific ideas to these STUPID guys.

Equally nothing much happening on the Linux Front to write about!  

There would ONLY be politics and nothing but politics till the end of 2024.

It is true for Ceylon, since lame duck, unelected president has no power to dissolve the parliament or call for elections for the presidency, while everybody else wants some form of elections.

Longer they hold on worse for the ruling party.

By the way, elections want solve any of our problems but like buying a lottery ticket it is an addiction. 

However  in Ceylon, politics is unpredictable, violence including political assassinations are on the card.

I am saying the above (assassinations) due to many reasons.

A Buddhist monk, Buddha Rakkitha plotted killing SWRD.

He was living with a female cabinet minister.

Poor Somarama was sent to prison (he did not know how to hold a pistol) but a thug hired by ?j did the job.

Ossie Corea was my guess.

Soma Thera died under suspicious circumstances similar to Professor Senaka Bible.

Gaminie Dissanayake and Laiith Athulathmudali were killed by goons of Chandrika.

Baddegana Sanjeewa was a Chandrika goon.

There are lot of othe non political goons of the underworld who are active in drug smuggling.

There is a Triangular Drug syndicate that operates from Thailand, Mumbai and Colombo.
Local Mafiosi has connection to this triangle.

I have no knowledge of how Putin's mafioso operates.

One place I never want to visit is Thailand.

Vijaya Kumaranatinge and Ranjan Wijeratne were killed by JVP.

Lot of journalists were killed by goons of Senior Premadasa.

Sotti Upali was one of the goons,

It started with killing Richard Zoysa and culminated with killing Lasantha Wicràmatunge on the 8th of January, 2009.

Number of Tamil journalists killed far exceeds the number of Sinhala journalists killed both by LTTE and successive government agents.

Then Upali Wijewardana disappeared in mid air.

Then Jeyataj Fenandupulle was killed not by LTTE but by a guy who was eyeing for the post of PM. I have no knowledge of his goons and how he operates except for the Easter Bombing.

Our  Rajan Kadhiragarman was killed by a marksman of the LTTE.

Violence is endemic in Ceylon including domestic violence and conflicting parties solve their problems by killing each other.

Under 16 years, as a minor, I have seen two fatal events using  sword as a weapon and a third non fatal event (in our village and none were my relatives) in my neighbourhood.

The First case in my internship was a murder case.

A guy had cut the abdominal aorta with a sword and in spite of pumping over 22 pints of blood, the surgeon could not suture the bleeding artery.

Then, I had a young guy under 20 whose liver was pierced by a cris-knife.

We packed the wound with rubber form and pumped blood and saved him.

It was a bloody mess and we tried to save the guy.

We left this village and moved to a better residential area closed to the town.

Mind you all these were born Buddhists!

Then were had JVP and D.JVP violence and mayhem!

Political violence including killing journalists is normal and none were adequately or conclusively reported or investigated fully, in the South and in the North.

Luckily nobody except services can carry weapons but political thugs and underworld guys and girls possess weapons.

If one does do a real analysis more than 50% of the guys and girls (having underscored the local politicians who kill opponents) in the parliament have some form of criminal record.
They use parliamentary privileges to cover their tracks.

I do not mind British Stray Storm Shadow missile hitting our parliament while in full session debating prevention of terrorist act, killing all it members so that we can say full good bye to parliamentary politics.

From the ashes of Phoenix or Parliament (all members dead) we can design a new constitution where no member is allowed more than two terms, no list MPs, no bonus MPs, ability to file a case against any corrupt politician by any citizen so that  his or her civil rights are permanently abolished, for anyone with pending cases (civil or criminal) is not allowed to contest and any political party whose member is convicted on any offence (better even pending cases) is barred from contesting two consecutive elections.

There are 181 parties and by the above provision we can cut down the number of parties at any election.

The beauty of this proviso is that the ballot paper which is like a newspaper would become smaller and we safe the paper, trees and even our precious planet.

The Shifty Shiff's bogus Steel Document (UK Guy), bogus impeachment process, Hunter Biden Laptop,Twitter collaboration, Ukraine War, MIC and Neocolonial White House Staff are enough SAGA to win enough electoral  colleagues seats for the Republicans, come next election and De Santos wants to spoil it.

He cannot win against Biden but Trump can.

Instead of uniting Republicans he is trying to become an instant hero.

I am not a supporter of Trump and I do not care what happens in American politics but politically speaking Trump should be given a second chance, so that he would clean up the FBI.

He had a raw deal instigated by FBI.

He started by firing former FBI director and he has the stamina to stand up to the FBI.

Muller Report was a scapegoat!

CIA will become a non entity when Ukraine collapses.

BRICS will become an alternative to American hegemony. 

Doing sweet nothing China becomes a world power by default and it will take years for Russia to cultivate European Dream.

For the time being, Russia should turn to Asian and African countries for friendship.

That is where the emerging economy is and certainly not in E.D.E or Energy Deficit Europe.

Running Parallels with Proxy War in Ceylon and Ukraine

Let me be forthright from the very outset.

I am writing this as a simple Buddhist who is totally against any war anywhere on this Planet Earth.

Hatred begets hatred.

Loving kindness brings harmony.

In Ceylon we had over 35 years of political  hatred under JRJ (UNP) and Sirimovo (SLFP).

These two parties and their collaterals ruined Ceylon.

The breakaway offshoot parties from these two parties still carry hatred in Ceylon including LSSP, CP and MEP.

There are 81 registered parties in Ceylon and one is headed by a monk.

According to Buddha monks should not take part in politics or should not give advice to kings (currently president Biden and Putin), queens or presidents.

The latest in this development are Wira Wansa Associate Conglomerate and Champaka's new party of descent (HATE).

These two are offshoots of the OLD JVP lead by Wije (Wira) Weera who started revolution in this country when there was no NEED or racial animosity in existence.

He started hating India to begin with.

It is believed North  Korea was instrumental  in creating this party of  descent who used killing opponents in broad day light, as a political stunt and tool.

Less I talk about LTTE is better and it was a party of HATE from its origin and it systematically  exterminated, all other moderate Tamil parties.

TNA is the remnant collateral.

I have nothing but admiration for Sampanthan for his political stamina.

By the way, I do not understand how the Tamil political parties evolved in the North.

Muslim parties analogy is simple.

When two dogs fight, the small dog steals the flesh of politics.

Here is the entry point for CIA.

CIA used Indian RAW as its collateral in creating descent in Ceylon just like in Ukraine.

I have sympathy for average Ukrainians who are refugees in Poland and EU countries.

Poland had to stomach spill overs historically.

Coming to India and Indians they did not provide refugee status to Ceylonese Tamils.

That is the typical Duplicity of Indians.

Currently India while buying cheap Russian fuels and selling them back to EU countries 3 times the stock price and are asking for a seat in the Security Council is the real Geopolitical Duplicity.

Pakistan and the rest of the neutral countries should oppose double dealing Indians, and there should NOT be a place in the Security Council for India.

China obliterated Tibet and Dalai Lama is a lame duck.

China fought two wars with India for a narrow stretch of land and should not be given a seat in the Security Council.

Instead South Africa deserves a place in the Security Council.

WHO is a collosal waste and should be abolished for the reason allowing CIA to operate lethal viral labs to kill President Putin  in Ukraine (over 22 labs in number).

One need not do anything to resurrect USA and UK for using Depleted Uranium and let the guys/girls who masterminded these operations die of lethal cancers.

France should be allowed to have Nuclear Plants in every city but they should not be allowed to buy Uranium from outside sources, at all.

They should dig and mine Uranium in France and not in West Africa.

No gas and fuel from Russia or any other country to France and UK until all the Depleted Uranium is utilized in a War Zone of their choice.

Above points are raised to show not only India but all except a few EU countries are Duplicity Giants. 

This piece is not complete unless I make some references to Israel and Muslim conflict.

Both religions are essentially similar, God based.

One branch arise from a legitimate child and other branch from an illegitimate child from same father.

The God I think was an intermediary by creating another bifid child of humans and gods.

Versatility of Linux

The biggest plus point of Linux is one need not worry about Virus attacks.

The file structure of parent child relationship makes it difficult to insinuate wild or viral coding when running the system.

There is a big community that supports Linux and also individual distributions.

Number one attribute of Linux, is it protects the hardware both old and new.

One can use hardware as long as one desires or until one decides to buy new infrastructure/s.

Number two attribute is, it detects hardware problems at boot time and reports them before booting.

It gives a live report at booting but the problem is that it flashes them fast, in less than 30 seconds.

One should develop the habit of reading them at boot time.

If one press Control plus Shift and F1 the boot time readout is available.

Once the kernel detects the hardware the Linux distribution boots instantly.

Rest depends on the desktop type.
Xfce boots fast and KDE plasma boots slowly.

One can go to command line using Ctr + Sht and Function keys before and after booting.

Number three is, it schedules all the processes as either live or inactive and saves resources for  work in progress.

Linux is absolutely fast due to above and many other reasons.

Then there are many solid distributions to choose.

One is not hooked to a company or product that fails to update.

War Mongering, MIC, War and Peace

MIC = CIA = War Mongering is the current equation for White House and White Hall..

Only Donald Trump speaks of Peace and that is what a good businessman should focus on.

When MIC or the Military Industrial Complex gets activated all other industries including Silicon Valley go into hibernation.

I do not watch it for years.

I believe singers and song writers should be free of political assertions.

I can understand if somebody is suppressed and under autocracy as in China.

The suppression of artists from Russia in Eurovision is the begining of the downfall Eurovision on the grounds of its own hypocrisy.

Like independent political commentators singer should be free of bondage.

There is a healthy manifestation in journalism.

New and vocal media are coming up with the help of freelance crowd or open sourcing.

This a threat to CNN, BBC and Fox News who are becoming organs of certain political parties.

It is a trend in Ceylon, too.

Apolitical mass is growing world over.

Once it grows beyond 40%  I think political guys and girls cannot keep on lying to the intelligent voter or citizenry.

Coronation, Wealth and Thamasha

If a referendum is held in UK and average British citizen is given the opportunity to decide (economic migrants should be excluded) I am pretty sure more than 50% will have a negative reflection on the monarchy irrespective who holds the reign.

I am not saying that democratic view should always be the right view, simply because view of 49% is ignored.

What I say is mankind has not evolved a correct political system, yet which is all inclusive.

In my analysis we are level ZERO CIvilization.

Level One (1) civilizations are devoid of political systems that control beings of that sphere.

The way we treat animals  Level One civilizations treat us as subhuman (animal analogy).

There are no WARS in level one and above civilizations.

The WAR represents the animal behaviour of humans.

Monarchy and commonwealth were built on wars of attrition.

We are on the threshold of World War III.

We have had two world wars already.

Third World WAR is end of our civilization and there is no sane institution (including Vatican and UNO) in this world to get us out of this quagmire!

Why I detest AI technology

I detest AI technology.

AI may be good for an autocratic country like China.

I will never alight a plane only on AI.

Remember the plane crash that guys put autopilot and were engaging in homosexual act.

They perished with the passengers.

Remember the Shuttle Crash that pilots could not cancel the autopilot mode.

When on flight and unexpected events occur on a made made machine only the man can figure out his own faults.

AI will work on a particular program mode.

If that mode fails it has to reprogram having deactivated the original program.

If the AI cannot figure out the outcome mode it invariably go back to default mode with faults ingrained.

AI could fail but human brain can figure our a contingency plan.

We should be able trust our brains without panic.

Only a few can master the brain in panic mode.

That is why TRAINING is Vital.

I trust almost all pilots with enough flying hours to their credit function well under trying conditions.

This being said, I can enjoy my flight.

So never ever criticize them including ground staff.

They are trained to handle difficult situations. 

Debian 12 at Freeze Stage

It looks like a Major Debian version 12 is ready for Freeze.
That means by the end of this year Linux enthusiasts are going to see a major upgrade.
I am fed up of Arch Linux except Manjaro Linux.

Why I ditch Steam Deck to a simple Tablet or a PC

I think Steam Deck and Dock will drain all your pocket money before YOU, even play the first game.
Please do not become a prey of the gaming industry especially, Valve.

One can buy several other gaming hardware for a fraction of the dollars one has to pay for Steam.

I an old guy who has gone trough with my kids and bought all the gaming hardware and fooled myself and the kids.

Except the PC all the gadgets are either broken or in the attic NOW.

Thankfully my kids are grown up.

It is better to buy a large cellphone and play games on the cellphone.

Mind you cellphone is a mini computer!

It is even better to buy a large TV with anti- glare software and play games direct on TV with the remote control or the joystick!

How I solved the NUC Audio Problem

The Intel NUC, the basic unit, I have had no Audio inputs and outputs and no fan.
 

My attraction was it's low wattage with sky rocketing electricity bills.
 

It has two HDMI outputs and stuck my Sony TV to one input and to the other HDMI port, I fixed the VGA monitor through  a converter.

Problem solved but only Emmabantus can configure two monitors and ALT Linux and Debian cannot.

Debian has to rewrite it's CODE for dual monitor and it's wireless coding is still primitive.

Now I will break a trade secret of Dialog  here for intelligent customers.

Using SIM through any network is expensive, whereas wireless link is cheaper comparatively.

If you do not have a wireless router at home a simple way out is to buy a wireless mobile and stick another Dialog SIM and load it with data package.

You sign in with your password and stick the mobile unit in your trouser pocket like a boiled egg.

Problem is solved your cellphone will not run out of data.

I use the mobile unit to link with my PC and Laptop and why not use it for the cellphones the voice SIM (no charge from voice SIM).

I downloaded all the software for ALT Linux using the Dialog Wincle.

ASIRI Surgical Hospital and Australian VISA Processing Unit and The Comparison

This piece is to say good about Russia and ALT Linux.

I have decided to learn Russian Language for a brief tourist visit to Moscow.

Not dollar but the Ruble is going up by the minute and our agencies are not giving the parity for Ruble.

Tuberculosis is often diagnosed as a case of cancer since sputum culture for TB is poor in Ceylon.

My prediction is with the coronavirus pandemic peaking itself, the relapse of tuberculosis is going to be a real problem especially in Ukraine with Asian mercenaries, already fighting there.

But (VQA) they only took my finger prints for bio-metrics.

Fingers can rarely transmit tuberculosis and TB bacilli are resistant to current detergents.

I have not seen a patient for 22 years and retired from teaching pathology 7 years ago and my critical sensing is good and finished a book on Interleukins better term Cytokines, just few days ago (with minimal typing errors).

I told the Tamil Lady, I was not a criminal in Sinhala but a sensible man (did not tell her I was a doc).

So all VISA officers are paranoid and paranoia is a serious psychiatric condition.

By the way. Australians are also obsessed about hook works!

The lady doctor did not ask for a stool sample for testing vermilion.

At ASIRI Hospital I had to wait nearly three hours for the medical having paid Rs.15,000/= for a urine test, chest X-Ray and a putative blood test which I did not need.

This is in addition to the doctor's fee of Rs.5000/=.

Doctors are the worst parasites in this world!

They were only interested in how much they could plunder me in 3-hours.

The nurses were like Barby Doll robots poorly trained but virtual runners in surgical terminology.

Eye testing woman was horrible and the unit did not have the contrast background that is necessary for proper testing of vision.

I was trained in New Zealand to do eye screening on weekly basis using slit lamp examination (of the corneal abrasions), which I was good at.

ASIRI Hospital probably did not have a slit lamp ophthalmoscope for Retinal Examination.

It did not have a proper WHO recommended  sphigmomanometer to test my BP.

The worse was there was not a single washbasin to clean my hands before entry into a cubicle.

Toilets were ordinary and not to the Hotel Standards.

I saw a  horrified little girl under 7 with her mother waiting for a ??? unnecessary psychiatric examination.

Luckily for me my wife was with me to take my building anger away.

Besides, if a male doctor examined me I would have blasted him.

She did not test my testicles and missed the tiny direct hernia on the right side.

One can miss a testicular cancer.

They did not test my haemoblobin / PCV which is always high probably due to renal overproduction of renin.

I was polycythemic all my life and I  take aspirin as a precaution and I did not tell this lady doctor why I was taking aspirin fearing another blood test and money out of my pocket.

After all these, I told her, she is wasting her time on medical examinations (is a waste of her qualifications) for cash dividends.

Furthermore, I did not tell her, I was a pathologist for 40 years.

I am interested only, looking in depth, after an eventful death.

I did not tell her, the doctors miss 60% of the diagnosis at the first examination and after two more examinations and testing, it never gets better and goes below 50%.

I hope this doctor does not read this piece even by accident.

She has no time, I believe to update her experience.

Since she has never seen (at least a single) a PM Examination, the  academic upgrade is humanly impossible.

With experience doctors become worse is my catch phrase.

Only Forensic Pathologists become wiser not general pathologists.

I have become bit wiser having read Buddha in my old age.

Now coming to my main topic.

ALT Linux MATE is fabulous.

It was bit slow to Boot and Install and configure my WiFi but once configured to my needs does a very neat job in the Linux Work Station.

I increased the workplaces to 4 which is my standard.

Like Sparky Linux which is at it's very best, a Russian distribution which powers my Laptop, it had cellphone utilities including Telegram and Spotfire.

I booted it with English but I want to boot it with Russian and the Russian alphabet is my next target.

Russia unlike USA is a rich cultural civilization and it's War machine under President Putin is fine tuned to enter the simmering Third War III.

I bet UK cannot stand up to it and USA is currently faltering.

Russian ALT Linux and Total Erasure of two of my hard disks

I tend to do irrational things once a year or so.
I was trying to install Russian ALT Linux and both due to my lack of knowledge of Russian, aided by poor eyesight, Hit Enter key, that took over both my hard disks.

It surely took over and erased all the partitions I had made for 5 distributions.

So I did not have any OS to boot.

This is the first time I have done this in over 23 years of Linux.

No WARNING from ALT Linux.

I have a liking of this MATE desktop, so I went back to basics and installed ALT Linux, Emmabantus, Sparky Linux both Media and Game Over and currently installing Ubuntu to get my ESP boot loader recognizing all distributions at the boot up stage.

By the way, ALT Linux has lot of useful Linux utilities.

MATE desktop is light and clean.
I love it if not ALT.

The bottom line is I am going to learn Russian starting with it's large alphabet.
Why this obsession against this country with a long history.
By the way, I do not like or dislike President except I SAY, he is the only Man in this world with WOKE culture with ambiguous sex orientation.

I decided to dump Emmabantus and go back to my favourite Debian.

One and only one reason Emmabantus take about 10 minutes for fschk File integrity checking.

We are supposed to be the time keepers to the Buddhist world at large but do not seem to have any idea about the concept of time and its prudent use.

Are we able to manage the present (moment) wisely?

The knowledge of the external world

Samaye niddisi cittam cittena samayam muni

Niyametvana dipetum dhamme tatha pabhedato.

By the Time the Sage described the Mind

And the Mind he described the Time.

All the Dhamma (mental or otherwise) classes are portrayed by an order of such a definition envisaged in Dhamma.

First two of the above statements refer to the external world and events in general and only the Buddha referred to the internal working (world) of the mind in relation to the relative concept of time.

Ceylonese are known for poor time management and time wasting. Even the nature's call of poor gecko (hoona) is not spared. With Avurudu (New Year) gone by an oblique reference to mundane affairs of conventional time and adopted time is worth pondering.

In physics time is a concept but not something substantial like momentum, gravity and electro-magnetism. It is concept that is vital for referring to relationship of moving objects. If there are no moving objects and space between them the time would become more abstract than what it is known today.

In Abhidhamma connotations the time can be only related to the timeless Samsara and that is also in relation to the mind (not to the body or perceived soul -Anathma) and its working (Anitta) in the Sansara Cycle (Dukka-or the unsatisfactoriness) and not vice versa. Any other relationship or relevance of time is of mundane nature.

This is where I have to pose a question, however open ended it may look like to our venerable monks who are advising the political forums what right they have and what authority they have on such a mundane (quite at variance with Buddha's teaching) affair as time and its reference to a standard (GMT) and its practical usage?

There is evidence to suggest that even the great civilisations of the Incas, Mayas and Aztecs stretching back 1000 years B.C also had invented calendar with 18 months and who can dictate that only Sackra's have the sole authority in the modern world?

My attempt here is partially to rectify this anomaly with some reference to Abhidhaama Philosophy of time for an apprentice and a wayfarer of Dhamma. True Buddhists have no problem with time and its concepts and aeons and Kalpas but it is the modern but misguided Buddhists who venerate some of the Vedic doctrines and driving nuts in our polity.

In Sansaric terms time is limitless and it can be related only to mind and its working on world of phenomena guiding the Kamma Principles and nothing else. Its only relevance is to the Kammic energies and their vagaries that express themselves in this world and beyond. The celestial world has no relevance to Mind, Kamma and Sansara except it is (whatever the worldly body one is reborn or habituate) transient (Anatta) spacial relationship in whatever existence of Bhava (Jathi- or Life) in the Sansara Cycle until it is terminated by one's own will and sustained effort by following the eight fold path laid down by Buddha and followed by his (eight fold) disciples.

Only relevance of time for Buddhist is do not waste it (time) on mundane affairs and astrology but strive hard on following the path of deliverance.

"Appamado Amata Padam" is a statement par excellence.

The only way (Ekayana Magga) is meditation whether it is Samatha or Vipassana Bhavana.

Any Buddhist monk who is propagating astrology in one form or other is one who is not versed in Dhamma and misguided and wasting lot of time in the Sansara Cycle.

The two words that come across in Buddhist scripture is Samaya that is related to the working of the mind and the other is Kalo (duration) which is denoted in reference to any event (Yuga in Sinhala) and is a concept as is in modern science and any other rendering is Vedic in origin and has neither Buddhist relevance nor importance.

I leave the reader to decide who is in the right tract and who is on the wrong tract any further discussion is waste of time and diverging from my original tenents of the Way Forward as a Buddhist in this modern world.

Violence

It appears to me none of the religions except Buddhism abhor the violence that include self inflicted violence. What I mean is the suicide bombing in the name of religion or terrorist cause. Destruction of life whether it is self or otherwise and all beings is alien to Buddhism.

This is where Buddhism stand alone in high ground.

This is where we have to define the role of a suicide bomber in the modern society. There is no justification for the existence of similar entity and for that matter intolerance or discrimination of any human being for his or her origin, class, creed, religion, race, sex and whether rich or poor.

We are at a cross roads.

There is alarming trend of religious fanaticism and atheistic views raising their heads.

This is where the Buddhist moral principles should stand erect and relevant. They are strikingly different from all modes of other religions where it is espoused that killing oneself for the sake of a religion or sect (there was a similar sect-Ishihara- in Japan) is as the supreme sacrifice and results in being born in heaven.

This is a myth we must dispel with utmost vigour.

This is happening in Ceylon too but for a different reason and goal. Labile children with childhood trauma are selected and indoctrinated to take life for a course which they themselves cannot enjoy in return. The fallacy of this inhuman misdemeanour has to be born clear of all religions. The religious leaders and dignitaries have failed in their duty and the present political systems, whether authoritarian, capitalistic, communist, religious or liberal systems have failed to deliver any form of organisation except further division. Devoid of human values (we may call it moral principles) the perceived global village is collapsing.

Divine Abode

The four sublime states of mind described in Buddhist psychology the loving kindness (Metta), compassion (Karuna), altruistic joy (Mudita) and equanimity (Upekka) are the very essence of humanity that is lacking in the modern world.

Why these Pali words do not have a place in Oxford or Webster's dictionaries is an indication how the world politics are shaped up in the current century.

There is no English synonym for Avihimsa (world sans violence) and that is how the Western Democracy has evolved. From Romans to modern day Mandela the way of dealing with crisis was absolute violence without recuperation. Only now there is some form of dialogue emerging but with Western Bias. Instead, hate, vengeance and violence are the operating themes of the world be that it may be terrorism or state sponsored violence sanctioned by the UNO.

The Suttas description of development of these supreme states is as follows.

" There, O monks, with mind full of loving kindness (compassion, altruistic joy or equanimity) pervading in one direction, then a second direction, then a third one, then the fourth one, just so above, below and all around and everywhere identifying himself with all, he is pervading the whole world with mind full of loving-kindness with mind wide, developed, unbounded, free from hate and ill-will."

Thereafter he follows the same theme with compassion, altruistic joy and equanimity.

It is said that in this country there were hospitals caring for animals. The decadence that has set in our society and world at large has to be reversed. We must not let the politics, economics and business mechanisms to decide our future however powerful they are.

They are not the only stakeholders.

Silent masses without a voice is quite evident after the tsunami episode. We must be self critical of our failures. We must be mindful and expose the changes that is currently taking place globally due to unsustainable scientific and economic exploitation of the third world.

The Way Forward

The world and all beings big or small need kindness, compassion and freedom to live with dignity. Live and let live should be the only currency for the modern world and why all the religions and religious sects (except perhaps Buddhism) are failing to arrest these dangerous trends is the question the UNO should be asking itself?
