Stream BOX Update

 Monday, August 23, 2010
Knoppix-ABC
Stream BOX-Update

Now I am nearing the last 30 or so distributions before reaching the century, it is high time that I talk about Knoppix.

I followed Knoppix evolution from its 3.1 version.

Mind you there was an attempt to produce a Sinhala version and when
Anuradha went to support, the then President during tsunami it's progress abruptly stopped!

I hope the team would revive it.

Then I was new to Linux and I did know how to boot and prepare partitions.
This was the only way, one I could mount and look at the file structure and the general organization of Linux apart from enjoying and using it.

It has spawned many version in many language.

ABC-Linux is the Czechoslovakian (I believe) edition base on 2003 Knoppix.

Stream BOX is a German version specialized on music.

I will add to this list as I find and test many of its versions.

My Ultimate Linux Recommendations

Puppy Linux is my favorite and I always carry at least two versions in 2 USB sticks.

My Vision for Linux is that before I kick the bucket it could reach 10% of the Desktop Use without any commercial push or any form of advertisement.

Statistically speaking, I call the the Natural Growth (not natural log curve).

It has surpassed 5% already and given the current rate of growth it would reach 10% by 2030 long before Next Olympics, when I am ready to quit this Planet and go on to a another World System with 4 or 5 dimensions.

I have no intention of going to the 13th dimension mathematically possible.

My simple reason is going by the current brain size and 140 I. Q. that I may possess now, the brain has to expand to the size of an elephant to grasp 13 dimensions without the use of a computer or AI enhancement.

I envision without more CSF and more cortical matter, I should be able to enter dimension 5 and that is far as I intend to go in my next life.

I have no intention of reaching Buddha Level of computational power but if I could reach our dog who is now in heaven in my next life that is ample enough, for me.

With moderate increase in my brain size and power, all my needs and aspirations at the 5th dimension could be accomplished is  my simple belief.

I wish not have a computer or a LINUX desktop environment in my next life.

Let me start with the distributions one should AVOID.

1. ZORIN OS coming from Ireland.
It us a commercial organization and it contributes nothing to free software foundation.
It's governance is secret and opaque.
I never tried it.

2. UBUNTU
This is again a commercial organization run by a dictator.
I gave it up long time ago and won't spend my time testing its latest releases which are at least 5 years behind in time in many areas.

SECURITY concern is only a catch phrase

3. Sparky Linux
This comes from Poland and I have a suspicion that it is funded by CIA for covert activity.

Somewhat similarly to TENS or PLOP OS.

I suspected it from its Sparky Linux Game Over distribution
Never used it.

4. Manjaro Linux
I think Mosad of Israel uses it for its covert activities.
I leave it at that.
I do use it but it has problems in reading my partition table of 29 Partitions.
I have tested it extensively in the past and a relatively good distribution but it's UPDATES come after installation and not during Installation.

5. Linux Mint not Debian Mint
It uses proprietary code by default.
I have stopped using it.

I used it during 32 bit era but not since.

6. Upcoming KDE Linux
It uses FLATpak and has lot of security vulnerabilities.
It does not seem to have a proper "patch-up" strategy.

My Recommendations are

1. Debian GNOME
Absolutely no problem.
I have used it for over 30 years without a loss of a single file.

2. ARCH Linux
I am new to ARCH

CachyOS is fabulous and it tops the www.distrowatch.com, ranking.

BlueStar Linux with very beautiful KDE Desktop

Endeavor OS which is minimal but expandable.

3. MX Linux
It is based on Debian but SLOW to adopt upcoming changes.
It has its own applications which I rarely use.
I used it in the past but it lacks the glamour in its Desktop appearance.

4. SuSe Linux

5. Fedora Linux

6. Consider GNOPPIX from Singapore
Both Free and with Subscription images.

7. Elive Linux
Unusual desktop effects

But I prefer using the Enlightenment Window Manager instead.

8. REBORN OS
Versatile

What I HATE
Kali Linux

If you have SECURITY concerns use PARROT Linux.
Home Edition
Security Edition

It is bit slow in UPDATES.
I just downloaded it but did not "Test Install", it yet.

My Connection to Buddha-Wauda Villi Hatpattuwa- KANDE VIHARA

Unedited

I started my schooling in a Girl's Junior School.

I was probably a very bright guy for my age.
I could work out the 52 cards of the card pack and even suggest moves in checkers (දාන් ලෑල්ල ) to my father even before, I entered the primary school.

I was placed in the girls school probably to avoid my leading questions or to improve my learning habits.

However, I was ashamed to be seated with girls and did not utter a single word in the class or write a single letter in the granite slate (ගල් ලෑල්ල).

This was probably, reported to my father and one day he gave me a very difficult arithmetic exercise. I got all them wrong or I deliberately made wrong answers.
I was thrashed with a bundle of ekel (පොල් කූරූ) wrapped with fine thread.

I did not cry that made it worse

Ultimately, my mother saved me and liberal application of cured coconut oil with medicinal ingredients prevented any nasty infections.

On that day, mentally, I decided to master mathematics and to overtake my father in all the fields, including science.
Science was planted in my mind, probably in my last birth

I did not know until 35 years of age (during 7 day Dhana following his funeral ), I was shown to a Vienna Specialist as a brat and he had told that do not interfere with this guy.

He is a bright cooky

From that day and in the proper junior high school and Ampitiya College, I always got 100 in arithmetic.

He did not have to teach me.

Of course, he flooded the home with books.
Very soon I was reading encyclopedia and adult books in English.

But what changed me was Sputnik in space in early 1950s

That catered to my talent in physics.

I have stated many a times, I avoided mathematics simply because, if I did I would NOT have lot of friends as classmates but only Einstein to talk to or refer to.

That is not the subject matter, here.

I had an urge to visit this schools and especially KANDE VIHARA before coming to Australia.
I could not.

Thanks to Jayaratne Pathiraarchchi the reason for this urge is to divert my attention to Dhamma.

Currently, my one and only Teacher is Buddha.

I used to go to KANDE VIHARA on festival days to relish on various Aappa, Pittu and String Hoppers.

This was under a Hindu Pusari, then.

This is one of the places Lord Buddha has frequented.

NOW, I do not believe any longer that Buddha was born in India.

Buddha has left a trail of evidence and our forefathers have recorded them in SelLipi or on Stone Edits.

Literally thousands of them.

NPP and JVP

NPP and JVP

Yes, my objection to NPP and JVP is based on "Buddhist Way of Life" and not based on hate but on persuasion of right thinking (Summa Dhitti) based on Ariya Ashtangika Margaya (Eightfold Path to Emancipation).

1. To begin with there was no need for Wijeweera to incite young blood and raise a revolution in Ceylon when the life and politics was peaceful in our mother Lanka..

This mad idea was taken up by the L.T.T.E and made this country a living hell aided by RAW and Indira Gandhi who thought Ceylon was a Province of India an Modi still believes his mythology of Modi's MAD Maha Barath.

Current Government has taken a contract to please Tamil Diaspora and belittle our Army and especially Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa

I do not carry a brief to Rajapaksas but one decimated the L.T.T.E propaganda and the other saved us from Coronavirus.

2.  We have a constitution where Buddhism is enshrined (If USA can enshrine Christianity in its constitution "what is wrong", if it is done in Ceylon) with equal opportunity for all other religions big and small.

For that matter if somebody wants a Gus Gemmba (a tree frog) to be his religious leader s/he can do that in his or her own private life not on YouTube.

3. My biggest objection is using Month of MAY was used for May Day Ralley which Buddha was supposed to be born in which Buddhists devote entirely for Dhamma after the New Year festival.

It was USED for POLITICS by ANURA and His NIRAGAMIKA CLAN.

I blame Maha Nayakyaka and Diyawadena Nilmae for agreeing to "Dalada Exposition' for political propaganda.

This should never have happened in CEYLON.

Yes, Mahinda Rajpaksa and his clan did politicized Buddhism in Ceylon.

That includes Champika Ranawaka, too.

They are reaping the benefits and are completely thrown out of the main stream.

We do not need a second innings by Anura and the clan.

My prediction is NPP/JVP also will be thrown out unceremoniously, if they continue on the same footsteps.

The average citizen needs a equitable life and nothing more.

System change was bizarre slogan.

Dhamma is for the MIND and not for Body Politics "is my slogan".

4. I have nothing against
Nirgamika theme and according to Brahmajala Sutta there are 64 or 68 Views about World.

5. These guys in JVP/NPP has never read a single verse in Dhmmapada representing Ceylon in a Wesak Ceremony in Vietnam is also political and an antithesis to me.

We know J.R.J who published a postage stamp by the name Dharmista Samajaya and subsequently made it a living hell for our brethren the Tamil Community.
It is still in my living memory.

Gladly, I was in UK during this period.

I was fortunate to be away from this country and I did not take part in that scheme.

The diaspora in UK is still working against US and undermining our sovereign state.

That is the reality of our politics.

Once a bad thing is done it cannot be undone by visiting temples and sacred places.

If an action is not sacred it remains so in history.

Hitler is a good example and very soon Israel's history will be be worse than Hitler's and the name tag to goes with it.

President Trump's unwavering support for Israel is no brainier by itself

Covid-19

Covid-19

The “Ceylon epidemic” as it used to be called, has been extensively studied, and in the 1950s the British epidemiologist George MacDonald used the Ceylon case study in developing the first application of ‘basic production number’ (or rate) for epidemics, the celebrated R0 (R naught or R zero). R0 represents the number of additional infections that one infected person can generate in a population. MacDonald has used estimates of 7.9 and 10 as R0 the malaria epidemic. Based on these numbers the herd immunity (R0-1)/R0) for malaria without DDT would have been around 90%.

Imagine if the Coronavirus was carried by a Mosquito Vector

R0 for Covid-19 is considered to be between 2.5 and 3.5 ( depending on countries and locations), and that would suggest a herd immunity threshold of 60 to 70%,i.e., 60 to 70% of the population will have to be infected before virus transmission can be stopped. Until a vaccine arrives on the scene, social isolation and lockdown measures are the only tools available to reduce the value of R0.

Virus transmission ends when R0 is reduced to being less than one, but that is not the end of the virus.

There is optimism that a vaccine breakthrough might come as early as January 2021. There is ‘ethical’ potential for a new therapy in Remdesivir, a "broad-spectrum antiviral medication" with established safety profile which has been previously developed as treatment for SARS, MERS and Ebola. These efforts may or may not come to fruition, and in the desired short time line, according to experts. The same experts also acknowledge when nothing else is working against the coronavirus it is natural to be enthusiastic about every new development that is going on.

Whither Covid-19

Outside South Asia, the general assessment is that the first wave of the virus is now over, the transmission has either stopped or is significantly slowing, and the affected countries can begin to ease up, while being fully prepared for the next wave.

For South Asian countries, including Sri Lanka, there is no certainty as to whether or not the first wave is past them, and there is no clarity about what is ahead in the next few weeks and months.

There were 600 cases in India, when the Modi government began the lockdown, on March 25. Now, just over a month after, the cases have multiplied fifty times and the total is past 33,000 and the number of deaths is upward of 1000.

The stories in Pakistan and Bangladesh are not any different.

Sri Lanka’s Covid-19 numbers - less than 700 cases and seven deaths - are mercifully lower than what would have been the daily tally during the malaria epidemic. The low numbers should be a cause for cautious optimism, and the country should be in a position like New Zealand. The island country of five million people has about 1000 cases and 19 deaths, and it is confidently returning to normalcy but fully prepared for the second wave of the coronavirus. New Zealand’s much larger neighbour, Australia, an island continent, is almost equally well placed.

In Sri Lanka, there is no certainty or assuredness about what lies ahead.

The country is under a prolonged curfew to enforce social isolation.  As many people are in custody for breaking the curfew as have been tested for Covid-19, or sent to quarantine without being tested. Every time there is an announcement of relaxation, there is a spike in the number of cases and the curfew is extended. And the most recent spikes in cases are among the custodians of Covid-19 quarantines – the armed forces.

There is growing skepticism about even the Covid-19 statistics that are put out by the officials.

In yesterday’s Island, Dr. Vinoth Ramachandra called it strange that after six weeks of lockdown, "the ‘official’ deaths have remained static for the past two weeks and ‘official’ infections are miniscule in comparison with other countries."

He went on to ask the officials "is there another purpose that the lockdown serves?"

But my assessment is doctoring data for political reasoning and advantage!

The Alliance of Independent Professionals have been raising similar questions in their periodical ‘statement of facts’ on the Covid-19 crisis. Is testing being deliberately kept under capacity to keep the case numbers low?

Are clinical case definitions being ignored or tampered with where Covid-19 testing is not available?

Are patient deaths being properly recorded with causes prior to cremations?

It is unethical and illegal to tamper with official data or their collection. Where data involve helpless patients, it is also heartless and immoral to tamper with them or destroy them.

And monkeying with data involving Coronavirus will boomerang spectacularly, because without reliable information there cannot be a plan to break the chain of transmission of the virus.

Fish Tuberculosis from India

 Fish Tuberculosis from India

Keeping Pet Fish may not be fun

This is another piece from my mobile edited subsequently.
Even if you are not a novice keeping pet fish can be pain in the neck.
I keep pet fish as an accompaniment to nursing water plants of many species.
Some water plants are like weeds and take over the territory by default making exotic varieties stunted.

Fish, the guppy I keep as the controller of mosquitoes.

I just had a nasty episode of guppy disease which luckily did not effect other species.

But my major problem is algae.

It never culminated to "toxic algal bloom" due to my vigilance, but nevertheless is a problem hard to overcome.

They take all the oxygen and make water cloudy with ugly green tinge.

I have to change the water frequently since global warming has taken effect even in the normally moderate cooler climate of the hill country.

I try to keep up with my challenges with the spirit of a basic scientist.

Today's message is different,

I met a father of a kid who had gone abroad leaving an exotic disk fish under his son's care. The son was asking the assistant of the fish vendor many questions.

I knew him over 20 years and when he was learning the trade.
He was a fast learner and I told him never to sell sick fish.
In those days vendor squeezes the belly of the fish so that the fish will die in 3 days of renal / kidney failure.

The vendor blames the poor customer.

This was a time very little was known about fish disease and I managed to diagnose
fish tuberculosis in an ornamental fish imported form India.

I gave up fish keeping with that episode.

I overheard the entire conversation but resisted any intervention due to my close association with the vendor.

He ultimately decided to buy only the particular fish food which was almost ten rupee per gram and there was only 30 grams left in stock.

My bill was 600 hundred rupees but comparatively expensive gram per gram.
I do not buy fish food that are sold in super markets.

They are no good and some are contaminated with fish diseases.

I purchased them after him and both of us came out together making that little corridor of opportunity to lash out my wisdom thoughts uninhibited.

I told him keeping pet fish in our age is pain in the neck rather pain on my back after every water change.

I gave him two options.

1. Return the fish to the vendor at cut rate.

2. Do not change the tank for a bigger one.
The fish will never over grow the tank.

3. If he wants to make money by selling it when gorgeously big go for an insurance cover, first.

The fish would die due to poor equality of water.

Either due to neglect or overzealous water changes.

It is all hard work.

I reminded him to let his son knows his plans before they are executed.

Doctors and their mistakes

Doctors and their mistakes

I will publish this book  in my death bed so that I won't leave a doctor to administer a lethal dose of sedatives.

As a True Buddhist I need to die in a "Lucid State" with a proper Gathi Nimitta (which I deserve) and me having no control  of it.

Assumption was every illness was related to infection in the pre-antibiotic era

Viral infection did not excite inflammation to begin with.

Diagnosis pneumococcal bacterial pneumonia needed specific signs without and X-ray.

Viral pneumonia in infants can be missed unless an X-ray is take at the precise time.

28, 32, 40 ratio was unknown.

28% could be diagnosed without ancillary investigations

32% with the help of investigations.

40% missed by even learned professors.

They end up at the pathologist and the pathologist knows he cannot fill up the 40% in all his life.

This was told to me my professor to which I am grateful to this day.

That put me off completely.

This is the list I put in my histology class and no student could define the word definition.

I use tuberculosis as a model disease which only 5% show symptoms.

In 95% the patients it heals by itself leaving a site of calcification which vary from where the bacteria enters the body.

1. Definition,

2. Incidence,

3. Etiology,

4. Bacteriology, (applies this only to bacterial infections)

5. Morbid anatomy,

6. Symptoms,

7. Diagnosis,

8. Complications,

9. Prognosis,

10. Treatment and

11. Prophylaxis.

My Dream with a philosophical tilt

My Dream with a philosophical tilt

This is a another seed for another book and I won't expand it fully.
It was a very brief one.
I was put up with a Japanese guy in a closed cubicle.
The purpose of which was ill defined.

We could not communicate quite similar to me sitting with Professor Ama Mia. He only could speak Japanese, whereas Dr. Handa was fluent in English. Within a month we figured out what we need to do and in six months we accomplished all what we needed including networking the Faculty.
They money for networking came from the Rotary Club of Kandy.

We had private meetings every week

The bottom line was we had a plan and we did not waste time in talking and running round.

It was all a mental exercise.

In this dream, it was mental communication and not verbal since we did not understand each other's spoken language.
So we set ourselves  in to a philosophical mood.
Some sort of deep contemplation.
Then suddenly a guy came with sand and cement and dumped them in the room meant for philosophical retreat.
After a moment guy understand the precarious situation and in return dumped them in the bathroom.

I was rudely woken up with a pump tight and the bathroom, rather toilet  was occupied with cement and sand bags.

I must make some reference to Professor A.D.P. Kalasuriya who is no more who introduced me to philosophy.

Philosophy is the first order discipline and all the others including science are second order disciplines.

Diagnostic Tips and Blood Relations

Diagnostic Tips and Blood Relations

This is just to expose the duplicity of medical wheeler dealing in public and private hospitals.

1. Blood picture is one of those tests that can discover many underlying diseases and rarely requested in present day setup.

Coulter blood count is almost superfluous and rarely diagnose disease in early stages.

Whereas, a simple blood picture (by a competent guy or girl) can diagnose liver diseases, kidney diseases and haemolytic uraemic syndrome (advanced stage of  shock).

2. Blood count does not help except in an advanced stage of leukaemia.

There is a cell called
Natural Killer Cell in the blood picture.

This is the cell that eliminates cancer cells and gives a clue to underlying cancer.

During D.J.V.P. insurrection
, I used to go to the laboratory secretly, during lunch time and examine (preliminary screening) all the blood films.

There was a blood film of a GP on the tray.

I examined it and found a lot of
Natural Killer Cells (simple staining) and I wanted to talked to the surgeon (our PR guy).

I told him this guy has a prostate cancer and did you do a PR.

He said NO.

He asked how do you know?

I told him you have to put your foot in.

He got the message.

This guy (GP) had been coming to the hospital for nearly 9 months and nobody had considered an underlying serious condition.

He did have a prostate cancer and I did not explore anymore.

It brings me to the next topic.

4. Next important thing for me is the
Temperature Chart.

This guy who presented with underlying cancer would have had a consistently elevated basal temperature.

His presentation was
PUO or Pyrexia of Unknown Origin.

There is a standard procedure for PUO.

5. Next important thing is
ESR.

Things were bad under Sirimavo and NM time.

I did neither had a
MLT nor a Microscope at my Base Hospital.

I did not have any facilities and ESR was the only test.

I managed to get a stock of capillary tubes.

ESR had to be mounted everyday by 8AM.

I come to ward at 9AM.

I look at the serum and diagnose hepatitis and I confirm that with the
sclera.

Hepatitis was endemic then.

Cholera was sporadic.

Careful examination above the serum would indicate the platelet status (low or high).

Malaria had to be diagnosed with the temperature chart but I took several blood films and sent them to the
MRI for confirmation.

List can go on but let me stop here by saying that every test has to be supported with
BHT records.

Otherwise, it becomes a hapless routine.

Reliability of the tests is fundamental to the diagnosis.

Specificity and Sensitivity are the key components.

None of the current tests is specific nor sensitive in the 21st century.

I can kick the bucket now in peace and I won't  subject to any of these tests except at the
Border Zone of a country for a VISA application.

They are only interested in
Tuberculosis which is very difficult to diagnose.

In closing, I must state, one of my aunts who was a nurse was diagnosed as a cancer but she died of tuberculosis.

Everybody missed it.

I was never consulted but duly attended the funeral
.

"Rare manifestation of commoner diseases are commoner than rare diseases" is a catch phrase in medicine.

She did have all the tell tale signs and a few symptoms.

Perhaps, she would have hid the symptoms to the five girls in the family (fairly well educated).

Uncle I reserve my comments, perhaps he may have had some grudge with my father.

My father of course neglected us and cared for them until they were fully employed.

From them, I have not received even an extra nib
for my pen that got me to the university.

Once I made it a point to state that fact emphatically.

He blushed.

I used to love Parker Pens and I still have one as a souvenir.

I have downloaded Fedora 22-3 design suit and it has fantastic collection of utilities.
It is 1.7 GB and Gnome and boots up fast.
It come both in 32 and 64 bit formats.
I am posting this with the live DVD booted up.
It has many Isos to suit one's needs.

You may take little time to get to know new Gnome but it is worth the trouble.

Alates (winged) and Delates(wingless)

Alate or Winged
Wingled Queen Termite
Winged males
Nuptial Fligts

Delate Queen lives for 30 years, depending on the species, climates, availability of nesting, nutrition and rain flooding their domain.
I use black ants to destroy fire ants in our rooftop garden.
Cocoa tree is where black ants live and my orchirds flower only when the black ant population is healthy.

I believed they lived 100 years, the way they destroy my books adequately sprayed with thinner (Coal Tar Creosolate) with added aspirin (I got to know this receipe from our Master Carpenter Navaratna).
The termites must be having a field day now.

Many Male alates
Male delate
Single female delate
Single nuptial

Nymph (I hate the word larva and pupa)

Cycle repeat itself.

Metta Meditation

Metta Meditation

Meditation Weaponized

Please standby with me for a moment.

By default I am not  Google YouTube guy.

All my years I produced only one YouTube presentation as a part of a University Education Session.
I used that opportunity to make a YouTube presentation on Linux.
This is long time ago, when nobody talked about Linux. Since there were no page hits, I removed it and archived it.
It is gathering dust in Ceylon.
Then I used seriously academic writing on Google Blogs.
The attempt is simple.
It is bearing fruits.
Target is to make Linux penetrate 10% of the PC market.

Yes, I did a penetration study with a young guy and it was miserly low.

Sorry, I used even this space to target a few and get a few people out of the meditation practice or the trap.

I have done a relatively specific study on meditation.

There is already a book on Amazon and currently I am working on a book. Meditation Commercialized.

Unfortunately, two of my classmates were trapped in this Weaponized Meditation.

One is already gone and other is undergoing a daily misery.

The book came to my mind simply because of the second guy.
He has two doctors in his immediate family but they missed the bus, that their dad is in a big mess or in misery.

I did not want to use the word Weaponized but I use that word to promote my book before publication.

Google algorithm is not logical but based on advertisement revenue.

It is skewed or I called it is screwed

Google algorithm does not follow statistical conventions or log natural curve.

In other words, it can be doctored to favour some or more of the misinformation than reality.

Buddhist Meditation does not follow occultism.

It does not follow logic.

It follows reality or Dhamma dispensation.

It gets to the bottom in GOOGLE algorythm but Hindu occultism to the top.

I will leave with one statement.

Lot of Kundalini oculists have ended up in tragedy whereas Buddhist Meditation warns of the trapping within even the Jhana.

I have used two names in my book.

1.One is Dr. Greer.

2. Other is Ajan Brakmabanso who talks about Jhana within Jhana.

3. Third guy (he is Darrel Anka) I cannot remember and he has dropped out of the Google algorythm.

After scanning over 300 YouTube presentations on Medication and I found it was a direct advertising for homosexuals and divorce agencies.

This guy has gone into oblivion.
I presume he is gone totally mad or end his life prematurely.

That is the end result of weaponizing Meditation.

I use Indika Totawatta as a role model of the misguided Mahayana Tradition who wants to become Pase Buddhas which is futile.

Instead of the third guy, I would use Indika Totawatta and his YouTube algorythm that is going down drastically after some comments he made in his web space.

Manio syndrome and pseudo astrological prediction fall into another category.  Unfortunately, in CEYLON this category is growing after Anura came into power.

When the economy is sinking these Manios or Maniacs have a free for all (gaming) space without scientific scrutiny.

My prescription is Metta Meditation.

The next Buddha is Maithree and it is timely and appropriate.

It's practice is very simple, become a vegetarian to begin with.

That stops killing by Muslims and Israelis including pigs.

Israelis of course kill Muslims with the help of Americans.

I must say, some Buddhist monks also can get weaponized through, the YouTube.

Bona fide of YouTube is advertisement and propagation of hate.

Hate is infectious but Metta is rare to manifest in the Web space except the "Business Enterprise of Meditation".

I tend to end up with a slant to rebirth manifestation.

What follows below is for guys who has the urge to go to the jungle and look for a cave for meditation.

I say for Metta mediation one does not need a cave or a jungle.

Any place where there are dogs one can begin Metta meditation.

Just dish out some bread crumbs to begin with.

My belief of those guys who want to pursue a jungle track or cave were guys who had been trying to meditate in their past lives but failed miserably due to hard living condition there in the jungle.
To settle in meditation one has to be confortable with, at least with one square meal a day, lest they get dangerously hypoglycemic.

In their dying bed (Patisandi Citta) they remember flashes of their failure and they want to go back to that state.

It is a natural tendency.

However, there is a caveat here, one is rarely born again as  a human but in a lower animal kingdom or higher Deva realm.

These meditation guys with a stroke of luck come back to human life and from their childhood show the tendency to go back to their failed state in the jungle

In psychology this is called rumination

My suggestion is stop ruminating.

Try Metta mediation to come back to real life and reflect on life in a sensible way.

It is soothing (Metta Meditation) to begin with once sleeps well without dreams.

Chanting "Kalaniya Metta Sutta" is the beginning.

I did not want to use the word Weaponized but I use that word to promote my book before publication.

Google algorithm is not logical but based on advertisement revenue.

It is skewed or I called it is screwed

Google algorithm does not follow statistical conventions or log natural curve.
In other words it can be doctored to favour some and more of misinformation than reality.

Buddhist Meditation does not follow occultism.

It does not follow logic.

It follows reality or Dhamma dispensation.

It gets to the bottom but Hindu occultism to the top.

I will leave with one statement.

Lot of Kundalini oculists have ended up in tragedy whereas Buddhist Meditation warns of the trapping within even Jhana.

I have used two names in my book.

1.One is Dr. Greer.

2. Other is Ajan Brakmabanso who talks about Jhana within Jhana.

3. Third guy (he is Darrel Anka) I cannot remember and  he had dropped out of the Google algorithm.

After scanning over 300 YouTube presentations on Medication and I found it was a direct advertising for homosexuals and divorce agencies.

This guy has gone into oblivion.

I presume he is gone totally mad or end his life prematurely

That is the end result of weaponizing Meditation.

I use Indika Totawatta as a role model of the misguided Mahayana Tradition who wants to become Pase Buddhas which is futile.

Instead of the third guy I would use Indika Totawatta and his YouTube algorithm that is going down drastically after some comments he made in the web space.

Manio syndrome and pseudo astrological prediction fall into another category.  Unfortunately, in CEYLON this category is growing after Anura came into power.  When the economy is sinking these manios or maniacs have a free for all gaming chance.

My prescription is Metta Meditation.

The next Buddha is Maithree and it is timely appropriate.

It is simple, become a vegetarian to begin with.

That stops killing by Muslims and Israelis except pigs.

Israelis of course kill Muslims with the help of Americans.

I must say, some Buddhist monks also can get weaponized through, YouTube.

Bona fide of YouTube is advertisement and propagation of hate.

Hate is infectious but Metta is rare to manifest in the Web except the "Business Enterprise of Meditation".

I tend to end up with a slant to rebirth manifestation.

What follows below is for guys who has the urge to go to the jungle cave for meditation.

I say for Metta mediation one does not need a cave or a jungle.

Any place where there are dogs one can begin Metta meditation.

Just dish out some bread crumbs to begin with.

My belief of those guys who want to pursue a jungle track or cave were guys who had been trying to meditate in their pass life but failed miserably due to hard living condition there.

In their dying bed (Patisandi Citta) they remember flashes of their failure and they want to go back that state.

It is natural tendency.

However, there is a caveat here, one is rarely born again as  a human but in a lower animal kingdom or higher Deva realms.

These meditation guys with a stroke of luck come back to human life and from childhood shows the tendency to go back to their failed state.

In psychology this is called rumination

My suggestion is stop ruminating but try Metta mediation to come back to real life and reflect.

It is soothing to begin with once sleeps well without dreams.

Dogs in Heaven?

 Wednesday, December 24, 2014

This is simply a satire piece of Yesteryear.

Dogs in Heaven?

Can Dogs Go to Heaven?

The answer to that question is very simple.

But there is a caveat.

If the dog is Hindu or Buddhist by descent there is no problem.

Most of them go to heaven (if the master is not a Ceylonese politicians with ministerial posts who deal with heroin, Kassipu or other major vices, they go to hell with them) by default, especially if it is a Paraya or stray dog.

But if the dog is Catholic, it has to wait till the present pontiff re-defines humanely the plight of dogs according to the scriptures and the interpretations made by his predecessors.

But, I have a suggestion to the pontiff who visits us next year.

There is an easy solution without going into scriptures.

Please make all Catholic dogs of Ceylon blessed and converted to Buddhist or Hindu at the time of their demise. There is no harm they remain as Catholic, in their present life.

After all Catholics in Ceylon need them for their security with B.B.S (until Bodu Bala Sena is proscribed) in action like a pack of rabid dogs.

What remains to be done for the dogs of Muslim descent of Ceylon is a difficult preposition. They cannot be converted to any other religion at the time of their demise.

It is sacrilegious!

I have a plausible strategy.

These dogs must be made a permanent member of one of the many branches (not Shia or Sunni sectors) of their political parties before their death.

Then at the time of the demise, there should be an affidavit to the effect that they switched allegiance to the ruling party.
By this subtle method blasphemy can be politically avoided and the religion can be safely bypassed.

After all they are animals they need not have a religion.

Dead and deaf dogs are valid only to the ruling party for propaganda.

They are mortally scared of the living dogs, anyway.

That is why they unleash
violence while preaching Avihinsa (non violence).

But if the dog belongs to an atheist, the owner should go to a psychologist and get his advice before writing the Will.

The question is why does an atheist needs a dog, if he or she is not fearing hell or heaven?

Perhaps, she / he may be fearing another atheist from another planet.

Or is he or she fearing all the religious guys and girls on this planet.

Sir Bertram Russell
had to flee from England to China in 1930s.

He feared Church of England more than Hell or Heaven
.

When he was in coma (down with double pneumonia) an obituary was published in UK at the behest of the Church but he recovered to the displeasure of the saints.

He lived to 97 or 99 with no help from any religion.

That is amazing.

This is the debate they are having at present.

Can animals go to heaven?

Some people all over the world have been excited in recent days about reports by news agencies worldwide -- including one from CNN -- declaring that
Pope Francis apparently believes they can.
It turns out, it's unclear what he believes on this issue.

A previous pope, Paul VI, had no doubts. "One day we will again see our animals in the eternity of Christ," Paul once told a boy grieving the loss of his pet. That quote, from the pontiff who reigned from 1963 until his death in 1978, was inaccurately attributed to Pope  Francis.

The confusion, may have begun when Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera referred to Paul's quote in a story that carried the headline, "The pope and animals: 'Heaven is open to all creatures.'"
The story itself does not indicate Francis said that.
Instead, it refers back to Paul VI.
The writer for the newspaper pointed to something Francis actually did say: "Sacred Scripture teaches us that the fulfillment of this marvelous plan cannot but involve everything that surrounds us and came from the heart and mind of God".

That remark, the writer suggested, "widened the hope of salvation" to animals and all of creation.

The headline on the article quoted Francis as saying, "Heaven is open to all creatures."

But there's no sign Francis said that.

A search through the current Pope's writings and remarks showed no immediate sign that he has taken a clear position on this question.

Faculty of Dental Sciences is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

I have to remember at least 3 Japanese souls.

I was involved with them from laying the foundation stone to the grand opening.

Dr. Yugiro Handa (now a professor)

He is now bit flabby and I cannot remember him wearing specks but he does it now.

He is now a professor and I can remember him saying he would be going to Africa.

I told him he is better as a ambassador for Japan but he choose to improve health and more importantly Treatment of Tuberculosis in Ethiopia.

Miss. Hagiwara

This lady was the one who managed the documentation and probably the statistics.
She was bit stingy and she did not give me a copy of SPSS in statistics for my research work.

This lady may be now in Ghana and trying to improve Child Health in African continent.

Through Professor Asoka Ekanayake I got her to install a copy of it in the Computer Unit of the Faculty of Dental Sciences.

I managed to find a pirated copy used by the Engineering Faculty Students.

My Microsoft Windows installation was not pirated and I had 42 odd 720MB floppies.

No wonder I turned to Linux.

If I remember right, it was one of my students, Sanjeewa Kandegedara who game me the first working copy of Linux.

He is now a good Maxillo Facial Surgeon.

I was involved in recruiting 45 young Dental Surgeons to be sent to Japan for Training.

Only two of them came back and only one paid back the security and resigned properly from the university.

Of course, none of them can join the Univerity again and they are blacklisted for life.

I think I was the only one who did not ask for foreign sojourns and I did my research work in Ceylon.

By the way, one of my parallel Advanced Level (bright guy) students from a different school did NOT get through to Medicine but got a scholarship to Japan.

He tried a scholarship in UK but failed.

He came back to settle his dues in the Univerity and got married to a Japanese lady.

I told him, Japanese are very bad in English and start an English School in Japan, jokingly.

He took me seriously and opened an English Academy in Japan.

I have not seen him since.

Professor Ama Mia
He was a retired Professor of Oral  Pathology  and I gave my room for him to share.

His English was poor but sure enough he managed to learn English in six months and he made a presentation on special staining techniques in Oral Pathology.

He dissected a hamster and manually (not a single word uttered) showed the technology to our technicians.

I preserved the skin coat of the hamster and kept it as a souvenir until my retirement.

I made his presentation in to a booklet for our technicians to use.

My interest was Microscopes with a video display for our students.

The Video Microscope donated free by Japan  never aligned and what I focus under my microscope student could not see live.

No alignment and no synchronization.

Japanese were bit stingy and they donated us 50 USED microscopes.

99% of students who had never used a microscope in school were not interested in histopathology.

All of the microcopes, I believed were discarded from schools in Japan but working OK after thorough check up and proper alignment. Mr. Bandara who is no more died of Mercury Poisonining was an expert on micricopes. What he did was to duscard the faulty parts and assemble 25 working microscopes.

5 good ones were kept for postgraduate students and were under my care.

After one of my practical demonstrations we checked the microcopes and a few pieces were missing in one microscope. The guy who used this microscope was an Indian. I refused any further teaching, in the next demonstratuon session, unless the missing pieces are replaced immediately.

I left saying that the Guy's name would be made public. In the next session the missing pieces miraculously reappeared.

This an another reason Why I HATE Indians.

Of course, I put my own money and I bought a digital microscope used by students in America. It is still in CEYLON and was too, heavy to bring to Australia by Air Cargo with accessories.

Just forget about Electron Microscopy in Ceylon.

We had an Electron Microscope in the Faculty of Medicine (Departmennt of Anatomy). In the first year, I used to go there and "have a peep" under this EM.

It broke down within one year since our Power Lines could not provide the correct Voltage and Amperage for the EM to work.

I am a guy with good understanding of Physics.

It dawned on me simple microscope was good enough for my Research Work.

Total Quality Management in Education (at least in the Universities)

R.W our current president (shoddy deals) is the one who destroyed out University Education for him to initiate Fee Paying Private Universities.

We developed a streamlined University Education protocol for all the universities.

Professor Ranjith Mendis's Plight

R.W. came in and sacked the U.G.C chairman and destroyed the whole project and appointed a political goon.

Please do not believe him in his educational reforms.

His intention is to destroy our universities and install private FEE Paying institutions.

He is hell bent on this!

He destroyed the Quality Control of Education in Progress in the University System.

He thinks of Education like selling Wattakkas (pumpkin) and Bandakkas (ladies fingers).

When you look at him he is actually Big Pumpkin (I am referring to his brain not the belly).
