YouTube Distortion of Dhamma

 Friday, July 18, 2025
YouTube Distortion of Dhamma

Buddhism has become an Academic Exercise.

It "Kalena Dhamma Sakachcha" is good but distorting Dhamma is not a good.

As I have said repeatedly, the guys who destroy a language is one who belongs to it and using the very same language analogy current YouTube Guys are a very good example.
They destroy our language.

My judgement and observation is that rule applies to Buddhism, too.

It is the Buddhists with political intention who are destroying Dhamma.

This applies to Indika Totawatta and his associates.

I would not talk about the monks who are causing enough damage to Dhamma. if not Buddhism.

1. Dhamma is not a philosophy.

2. Dhamma in my way of thinking is not a religion as it is practiced globally.

Religion is fast becoming a Modern Cult Feature and Buddhism has fallen into this trap.

3. Buddhism is a way of life.
To practice it one has practice Sila and one should respect, Buddha, Dhamma and Sanga.
It is OK writing on Dhamma issues but TV Model Discussions in my opinion is destroying it.

What matters is not theory but the practice of Dhamma and trod on that path of emancipation.

It is all about Mind Control without Hate and Gossip.

Nobody would achieve any of the Phala or Effects by having a TV show.

It is self centered, an individualistic exercise.

Meditation is the simple way, forward not any academic exercise.

Monks discussing among themselves in the Temple Setup is correct way and is OK.

Well accomplished people (not J.B.D. or JVP type or Debidi Type, while killing fellow citizens for no reason and praying to Buddha-1971 and 1989) should run these Dhamma discussion forums (at least well read if not fully digested the essence).

4. Laymen discussing on Dhamma in their own space (not TV ) or a local club or in a pub over alcohol, I have no problem.

5. Then having a healthy discussion on a Poya Day with the monk and laymen in the temple should be the correct way.

It should not be like Sajith Premadasa handing over free handouts as a political bribe.

Let the Capital MahaRaja Organization and TV channels dispense their ill gotten money of CIA through India!

TV should not be a substitute for temples and discussion forums.

TV for me is an antithesis.

Apart from news, sports and films TV has no place for attaining higher goals. Also TV is no substitute for practice of proper guided meditation.

Going to the Buddhist Publication Society in Kandy and contributing to its print cost should be a better way.

I am against Buddhist Literature and for me Jathaka Katha is actually Buddhist Literature, according to one of my friends who is well versed in Dhamma (I learned the basic concepts from him but I had to dispense some alcohol afterword for his consumption).

Buddha stories if one believes in immense rebirth potentiality cannot be be 550 and it stopped abruptly (the author would have died) but should RUN into of Millions of Life (Jataka stories) episodes of Buddha.

Ten Parmitha is also is part of this literature.

One has to try more than millions and millions of time to become a Buddha.

PaseBudhu should be analyzed in this context.

Those past lives do not matter a little bit to our current predicament (sinister attempt to destroy Buddhist way of life (Avihinsa - JVP is an antithesis to Avihinsa and they carry weapons of mass destruction) and to our future emancipation.

Not a bit in my belief.

However, The Birth of Buddha should be celebrated as nothing to compare with.

That is Wesak Poya Day.

Please shorten the Sansara Track  and do not extend it by TV shows.

What about people who do not have a TV but most of them have a radio in their cellphone at least.
We used to have very good radio discussion when I was a kid.
I am glad we did not have TV as kids.
Had we had TVs as a children,  I would have been spoiled a lot and would not have become a doctor and a voracious reader and a writer.

It is very difficult to find good books due to TV and Digital Media.

Very soon we will have AI Buddha's.

That is the way we are heading.
I have more interest in philosophy than religion now.
It is the first order discipline and religion is always second order discipline and always man-made, including Dhamma (no sly intended to Words of Buddha).

Philosophy is a natural tendency just like evolution in the biological world.

More and more pristine themes of philosophy is the way forward for mankind.
Since I have not achieved any Marga Phala, I wish myself to be remembered as an emerging or budding philosopher who abhor violence including to animals and any form of WAR.

Read Dhmmapada verses every day of the week to remind hate and gossip are not the way forward.

Lies are good for politicians but not for True Buddhists

All these TV channels should be named as Gossip-TNL, or Gossip-Sirasa, Gossip-Rupahavini and Gossip-ITN.

Kumara Chapa Bandara is by his own "Tradition" does fall into this category of  gossip by default.

But it is his craft and way of life which he is entitled to.

We should not get stuck in the corridors of religion but venture into the wider universe as it is.

What I hate is
the Word Niragamika which comes from JVP cookbook which I have never read or heard in my life,

Until this guy Anura addressed the opening of the sessions of the parliament.

There are two English words  Atheist (do not believe in god) and Agonist (a very confusing English word) which has no proper word for word translation in Sinhala.
It is not found in Eastern tradition but found in the West.

I think when we talk about Dhamma we should use only Pali words and not psedo or new Sinhala adapted words, like Aragalaya and Niragamika.

These words belong to JVP and NPP and their polity of hate.

They are going to stay in politics but should not be in Dhamma traditions. It sickens me when people use inappropriate or bull shit words with no meaning that were picked up from JVP/NPP vocabulary.
It is alright for their grass-root convicts and also for Nirmal Ranjith for his daily discussions, which are becoming boring to say the least.

JVP has not got any new theme except violence against the established system.

This  system change and Aragalya (illegal word to mean an opposition to the established system which should  in reality be legally prosecuted).
Anything which goes against the established law should be punishable unless the law is modified in accordance with the parliamentary traditions.
It is the beginning of anarchy or destruction of democratic way of governance, which JVP/NPP has been guilty of violating over 50 years.

They are mad hatters in evolution not revolution.

Democratic System and other political systems did not come about overnight. They evolved gradually.

JVP/NPP is an antithesis to systematic evolution of politics
.

I do not know why Ceylonese do not question their approach. Timidity brings on demolition of established system and that is what JVP and NPP wants. They are slowly heading for a dictatorship.

Just look at Latin America.

Do not give them majority in the provincial council election.

Defeat their new theme of Niragamika lest we won't be able to change the system drifting into either anarchy, mayhem or
one man dictatorship.

Be mindful always.

Their  hidden agenda is unpredictable.

Sorry drifting into politics

Dhamma is also dragged into politics by India and the Anura Gang.

Indika Totawatta is very unstable and changes his political stance and thinking, at the drop of a hat. That is very bad.

What has happened to his independent philosophy?

I think monks are using him for their own popularity on TV and Image building.

This is the Very  Danger I see and want it to be avoided to save "What is left of the Teaching of Buddha".

There is already two traditional themes (Hinayana and Mahayana) let them remain as such BUT PLEASE do not add anymore of peudo-themes.

Two is confusing enough and three or more TV Schemes is a disaster for Dhamma.

In summary
Sila
Samadhi
Pagna

Metta
Karuna
Muditha
Upekka.

My comments are based on the last of all which is supreme.
Upekka or looking at a problem without political (collective) or individual (private) attachment.

Remember
Dhamma is Global and it does not belong to even to Buddha himself. There were many other Buddhas before our Gauthama Buddha.
Do not wait until Maithrie Buddha.
Appamado Amata Padam was the last statement of our Buddha

The Political Bait

The Political Bait

Evaluation of Election Results

I have left out several guys who were instrumental in bringing a significant change in our politics.

This is how Niragamikayo treat Buddhist monk in Prison

There is a Real Danger for Gnanasara Himi in Prison.
As far as I gather this Himi has not been imprisoned under murder charges but he is treated like a serial killer or somebody like Jack the Ripper.

He is being kept with serial killers.

This is how the criminal law is practiced in Ceylon.

What is the response of our Cardinal?

Chintana Dharmadhsa "Nohoth Pathalaya" is working for Ranil "Nohoth CIA Agent".

"Mun Okkhoma Dhesha Drohiyo".

Ali Rajah (LTTE Vestige but currently Active) Subhashwaran financing "Rani" film to belittle our "Ran Wiruwan" or brave soldiers.

Anura has taken the lead bait and he will be demolished on his own accord.

"Anne Modayo Dan Mokada Karranne?"

Anurawa Hakkhe Thiyala Chappa Karala Danawa Mun Tika".

That is the master plan.

"Aiyeh Minihagen Ganna Deyak Nathi Hindha Minihava Billy Denna Hadhanne".

Anne Pavve Meyahh!

1. Dharshana Hapangoda in his inimitable way introduce guys to the global audience.
He is unique.
When nobody dared he antagonized Rajapaksas.
That was the beginning.
I think he had a tough time under them.
He promoted NPP in a subtle way and he has to remedy their destructive force on Buddhist Culture.
That is Culture Vulture by design.

Having said that he gave a fair chance to all political views including that actor guy, Kamal Addharaarachchi.

2. Champika Ranawake
He has now become a CIA guy.
He has no future.
Intelligent and educated guy with the knowledge about Katubeddha student activities. He should study Peradeniya University students' activities like Kumar David.

3. Ravi Kumudesh
Ravi is a new found talent with political brain.
According to Chapa Bandara Ravi was a LTTE operative in the past
He may be a Tamil guy with good Sinhala education.
He is supposed to be currently financed by Ali Rajah Subhashwaran who is the LTTE Banker (Black Money) in UK.

Ranjan Ramanayake was once financed by him and Ranjan has disappeared from the main stream.
He was used and dumped and he (Ranjan) is a bit of a political idiot.

4. Chapa Bandara
Chapa is a different kettle of fish with  a vast resource pool.
I admire his upright standing with Buddhist Culture.
There is nothing in Ceylon without Buddhist Culture.

We must protect the Buddhist Culture from Ranil and CIA.
In my belief Chandrika is an ally with Ranil to bring down Buddhist Cultural Outlook. Mangala Samaraweera was and his homosexual associates are part of this clan.

5. Sepala Amarasinghe
Sepala does not have to bring his own views in politics but he has to bring guys slanted with his line of thinking.

Just like Dharshana Hapangoda, voice either for or against the government and increase his Patreon clientale.
He is cunning but has no vision for Ceylon.
Live by the day.
"Eda Vela Man".
I do not trust him.
Politically double act.

Dharshana Hapangoda directly and indirectly helped Anura and the Clan.
When they fall Dharshana will fall with them unless he changes his tactics well in advance.
In politics there are no binding principle but change the colour of the "Thoppi" just like a Muslim politician.

This Anura Clan is the sinking ship.

A major disaster is impending.

My advice for (Champika) Weera Wansa.
Champika already is a spent force.
However, he should have a go at the next Presidential Election.
He has only one GO and no more.

Weera is the only guy who can take NPP/JVP head on.

Wira Wansa due to his long alliance with Rajapaksas could muster a base of his own.
He can bank on the Rajapasa Vote Bank which is looking for an outlet for expression

He (WW) has to emerge from the deep pit he is already in.

"Bauddhaya is his Galaweema" not Karl Marx.

Regarding Champika, the biggest disadvantage is money. Save whatever, You have but Start filling the till from Well Wishers. That money should be used for Kandy, Galle and Anuradhapura. He has no base outside Colombo. Whatever he has done is enough for Colombo.

1. He should get some help from Chandrika on the ground that he won't antagonize her son. That alliance will cover the Attanahalla and Nittambuwa. I think Chandrika does not trust him having seen that he was trying to carve a portion from Sajith faction.

However, Chandrika needs some help
I do not think in her 80s she can spring any surprise move except as an appendage to another emerging left inclined party.
Weera Wansa is an option for her to take back the vote eaten by NPP in Attanagalla and Nittambuwa.
That guy Wijedasa Rajapaksa is a crook and he has no guts to stand up against NPP/JVP but he trying to scoop what is left of PA.
He came in with the help of Chandrika and quickly sided with Ranil when things were getting bad.
I do not think Mahinda trusted him.
He is by default a Wheeler Dealer.

Maithree guy is a liability to any party he associates with

SLFP is the classic example and there are about 6 Stake Holders to SLFP.

2. He may need Ravi Kumudesh.

Looking at Haruni, Ravi is an excellent political animal.
He can breakdown the NPP/JVP trade unions without much a do.

3. Champika needs Harsha De Silva without upsetting Sajith.
I do not think Weera Wansa can bank on Harsha.
Harsha is also a spent force and he cannot bring economic recovery. Just like delaying payment of debt by Ranil it won't work in the long run.
We are already in an economic abyss.

Unity of the opposition is vital with one problem, Namal and the Rump of SLPP.
He (Namal) should be stopped at 10% and no more.

4. Must have to antagonize India.

5. He should have a good alliance with Muslims.
Unlike Tamils they can be trusted.

6. Tamils are a big problem.

Under Anura, Tamil  Diaspora is very active.

They are spread all over, the globe
Their business arm in Ceylon is broken up by the Muslim businesses.
Tamils know only one language.
That is money, especially dollars.

Nobody can find a single old time L.T.T.E. guy in Canada.

Now they are all, not first generation but second generation Canadian politicians.

This is why Donald Trump is behind the back (LTTE in Canada) of these illegal guys not only Oil Sheiks but other Terrorist Rumps from various regions of the world.

They slowly slip into America from Canada.

Ali Rajah Subhashwaran is a good example.
Like Emil Saundranayagm of the past he spins black money to white and white to black, with one spin of the wheel.

Tamils are very much divided but have become an International Conglomerate. They do not have a base but a Intricate Network

I am told that they have got India wrapped around their fingers.

Nobody can unite them but money is their global link.
The Kovils and Gold are their lifeline.

Even, in Ceylon Tamils control the gold exchange not Muslims.

My batch mates are a good example how the unity of Tamils are expressed in Global Scale. They are all over the globe. Their game is to fight among themselves.

They have petty fights everyday and their weapon is the cellphone, mostly Apple devices. Some of the petty fights are  related to Caste or Kovils. Their current dilemma is whether to go to Ganges or Kovil in South India.

For Ceylonese Tamils, there is a big difference between an Indian Kovil and a Jaffna Kovil.

A Kovil in Kandy has no significance and Kataragama Kovil has lost all its glory.

My current understanding of a Kovil is a Private Bank. I have no working idea,  how much of a cut each Deva gets in each Kovil but it is much less than what the Pusari gets, I am told.

One thing is sure.

Tamils are very intelligent and that itself may be a big problem.
They do not like being cheated like the way Anura has done.
They do not mind "do not care attitude" but if you cheat Tamil guy, that one will remember it for life

They never intend to cheat YOU.

Treat them business like and their bona fide language is money, dollars to be precise.

Coming to Politics and Champika or Weera Wansa.

Probable Breakdown of Vote in the near future.
To begin with NPP/JVP (animal) does not need any intervention, at all.
Naturally, it will destroy itself. It follows the basic animal nature that destroy within.
Just mark my word.

1. SJB    20%
2. NPP   20%
3. SLPP  10%

Tricky 50% Left and JVP got only 42% with lot of money and almost perfect campaign.

My advice;

Champika / Weera Wansa has to start long before JVP starts crumbling

If Champika waits until the real fractures appear in NPP/JVP other parties will step in before him to gobble.

He has to eat into its base NOW not later.
His YouTube work should be the harbinger.

Anura is in panic mode already and gather those moments to wrestle its superficial structure including media guys and girls.

Do not let the vote base slip and go to SJB or SLPP. Both of them have to revamp their campaign.

No space should be allowed right at this momentBetter be earlier than late.

Ranil may be having a plan of his own.
I guess his window of opportunity is only 2 Beyond that period voters would dump him like Chandrika.

Sajith failed twice mainly due to Ranil's backstabbingDestroy Ranil and let Sajith consolidate.

SLPP revival depends on Wira Wansa and Wiraya
SLPP people need time.
They would not come to streets until the voters are fed up with NPP/JVP.

With Unity in the opposition we can beat NPP/JVP without much a do. It is the only party in power who lost their popularity within 6 months.
People will never give them a second chance. They are BIG Liars and did not have a constructive plan to get us out of the trap laid by Ranil and CIA. They are carrying forward Ranil's agenda.
That is why he called Gamme Ranil.

I must now tell you how I became anti-Indian.
It developed over 35 years.
It ran parallel with my antipathy towards JVP and now NPP.
Now I am convinced India was involved in undermining Ceylon from 1971-73 to1988/89.
India used DJVP.
I have direct evidence.

In 1971 to 1973 I thought North Korea was involved but my gut feeling is again India through an unknown proxy ignited, the 1971 insurrection.
Indians were involved from Indira Gandhi's time but after blasting off of  PM Rajiv Gandhi, it died down for a little while but it has reemerged with vigour through Modi and Anura.

The pathetic part of this SAGA is JVP carder and their followers did not realize they were being used by Indian operatives.

These Niragamikayo do not see anything wrong when guys and girls in other religions bring cultural elements from foreign countries and plant them here and destroy our own Temple Based Culture.

Temple is an antithesis to them.

Why?

There is a big plot.
India and CIA are on this plot.

Tamils are also hoodwinked.
America and CIA are using a certain section of Tamils in their strategic plan.

In other words cheating "Ordinary Tamils".

There are two important things even Kariyage does not highlight about JVP.

1. Number one is depriving the Youth of their Youth and to stand on their own feet without a "bizarre party" proping them up.

As Champika says it is these timid guys in the first year who are proped up as student leaders and none over time become national leaders.

2. The second is the destruction of public property with callous disregard.

I was practical man was instrumental in getting rid of Sirima, N.M. and Peter Keinaman.

It started when I was an Intern and it matured within 6 years to oust Sirima.

Ist Episode
I was invincible in my work place and I did not behave like a rotten egg, generally speaking, which Labour Union guys are.
I get activated at 9 P.M. when everybody is retiring to bed.

Plot is hatched over night, without breaking the law of the country and patients were very well looked after by a skeleton staff.

This is not agonist the poor patients but the rotten government.

2nd Episode in UK
When I entered UK, 60% of the Doctors were from overseas. The majority were from Ceylon.
We did not have a Union and I closely followed the Labour Union activity in Yorkshire and formed a primitive "Overseas Doctors Association" and got our U.M.T raised within six months.
Then there was a long drawn out action to get 1 in 3 rota.
I never got a 1 in 3 rota for 8 years and by that time I made a firm decision to return home due to many reasons.
British doctors were lazy and never did one in two rota at out time.

3nd Episode
Ousting Mahinda Rajapaksa
Plan was well executed and guys like Dulles Alahapperuma did not know from where we operated.
We even had a skeleton International Staff.
That is when he forgot the country and look after only the family and family members.
I do not mind party members left riding up beating the family.

4th Episode
In New Zealand
I was getting the salary for three and that actually was very reason for my downfall. They could not sack me but reorganized the structure. I stuck to my contract but the one who offered me the job lost his post without compensation.
New Zealand doctors were the laziest and under Labour Law they never worked beyond 40-44 hours but I did over 82 (almost double) on one week.
I threatened to take legal action unless they keep the contract I signed with them.
Only think they could do was not to renew the contract.
Two weeks later I was back in Ceylon and of course, I did not want my wife to lose her job in Ceylon. She had taken only two years unpaid leave and she returned 8 weeks earlier in good time. If one loses a job in Ceylon it is very difficult to regain or recover.
That is the reality.

5. JRJ
I was lucky to be out of this country, for decade when he was in power.
I signed his last blood report and said I am signing a dead man's report and left Navaloka and when I reached Ragama by train, I saw the white flags coming up. I did not pay a visit to him and his final fee fays were supposed to be pathetic.
I was in Ceylon on holiday when his "Kalagedi Selllama" was on display.
Ever since, I hate this mechanism called referendum.
The distortion and ruin he brought to our simple one past the post system cannot be redeemed.

One crime of my life was voting for him once before leaving Ceylon.
It was not a "For Vote" but a " protest vote".
I voluntarily removed my name from the "Voter Register" for over 20 years and renewed it only to get the passport to leave Ceylon for good.

The above is to show I had an active service in Ceylon and Abroad.

Big Picture
Unlike in the West we cannot use statistics to analyze politics in Ceylon.
A 3% shift is enough to make a landslide in the West.

JVP/NPP rise was the biggest aberration to our politics, that is why I call it the "Flash In The Pan" and I did not believe it with sink within 7 months..
Simple logic, lies and promised that cannot be fulfilled.

Lies, damn lies and pseudo-statistics.

If Kumar David would have been alive he would made an accurate analysis. Unfortunately, he is gone and he had ample historical material.

I am no replacement at all.

Historical Base Lines in Ceylon
30% pseudo left
30% pseudo right
40% uncommitted or floating vote.

My Wish
20% real left
20% real right
60% silent masses, that is when the system change is possible.
In other words majority overtakes the politicians of the day.
This was slowly happening in Ceylon but these NPP guys ruined it. Politically, nationality and internationally they are immature and cannot take the mantle.

In other words kindergarten type.
Sorry for me being blunt and that is the reality.

So in another two years (time to sink in the current aberrant reality), we get another chance to revisit or recharge our politics.
Dump the old radical views.

People friendly not party friendly evolution should happen not automatically but by careful education.

Champika Ranawake has a role within the parliament or outside of it.

Ravi Kumudesh has a place in educating the  misguided masses.

Average citizen in my opinion is still stupid but nobody can openly say that which is a political suicide if a politician does it.

Citizen always think he or she is very smart once in 5 years.
That is the tragedy.
End result was a party which has done irreparable damage to our economy coming to power when econmy has hit the rock bottom.

"Dayiwopagatha Karmaya Pala Deema".
"Munta Dharmaya Therrenne Nane".

That is why I say we should have elections every 3 years as in General Management.

1. One year to learn.
2. One year to act on the job.
3. Third year either to quit or plan to reenter or taste the rotten egg.

I can make these valid comments since I am fully retired doc who is not even living in Ceylon.
During my time I did my part withing available resources.

Hope a rising political star is born within the next decade.

I say, Dudley Senanayake Reborn.

General Election

61%

Provincial Council Elections
2.3 millions less totaling about 2.1 millions
43.6%

One (1%) per cent increase which is statistically not significant.
With a massive campaign they could not muster 3% that Australian Labour party achieved.

Calculation based on 40% of 5.6 millions is roughly 2.2 millions.
There actual base is 3% and rest 37% has come from the "Floating Vote" or usually in Ceylon, it is the "Protest Vote" against the party in power.
The "Protest Vote" has not come, yet.
In fact, this protest vote guys prudently kept away from voting instead of voting for the opposition.

What it means is that are ready to give some limited space for these bone heads but stupid guys a chance.

This is for YouTube guys

"Uddachcha Kamai" "Ola Mottala Kamai Ekatu Unama" "Wenne Mokkada Machan"

"Jangiye Chu Unawane, Ne"

That is my closing beat to JVP/NPP supporters especially these "YouTube Guys".

Unlike Indian voters in Ceylon the voters are less emotional but mature.

They do not want upset the Apple Cart.

My guess-estimate is NPP/JVP will destroy themselves.

We just have to observe them patiently.

Their behaviour or "Thuga Damima" in public especially in the parliament is not going to work but destroy themselves.

Verdict
Talk Only Show
NATO
No Action Talk Only Show

When the next round of election comes it will dip to 20% to 25% not enough to become even a powerful opposition just like SJB.

I am hopefully waiting for the emergence of TRULY Progressive Alliance (not a single party) of politically astute gathering from the SILENT Majority.
Sitting on the bench is not the way but Participatory Democracy is essential.
It is high time that this process becomes a realty since we are heading for the abyss.

Country before the party should be the slogan.

In any case NPP/JVP is just the " Flash on the Frying Pan".

Sorry for me being pessimistic.
I saw this in broad day light.

How Mahinda Rajapaksa squandered the golden opportunity by being self centered and working for his family and the goons.

I have long term experience with these guys from 1971 to 1989.
I have always against their arrogant, impulsive and destructive politics. They lack the natural and intuitive politics which is the need of the moment.

Me leaving the country (like many others) having done my part without "pomp and pagan" in my twilight years is the living testimony to how puerile our politics have been.

But my hats off to guys like Harsha De Silva who sacrifice his talent to politics in spite of so many odds.
He sticking in the opposition itself needs lot of grit.
I think Sajith should had over the baton to him and organize the party from grass root level not allowing the "Sutra Pincha" to eat into his base.
Ranil is another guy who is a political pest (should be in the political dustbin in India) who should be violently evicted from our body politics.
He is a Greedy Guy and Lacks Vision.
This one must say to his face to destroy him politically not physically.
I abhor physical violence which  was "his trade mark" and known to be utilized at Batalanda.

DO NOT HAVE any dealing with him.
He is using Anura to undermine Sajith.

If Sajith take a side step and take a welcome break and let others take the the baton ousting Anura is a "cake walk" in due course.

Break their back in two years.

Waiting for five years is STUPID.
I was one who stood up against JVP/DJVP when it was the necessity in 1971 and 1989.

These guys would ruin our economy and that is what Indians are wishing and waiting for.

Every minute in politics matters.

SLPP is waiting in the Wing and their Think Tanks are on overdrive and hard at work.

Do not give them a fighting chance to be second but let them be in third place which is realistic.

About Ranil;
"Panuwek Wage Ahaka Danna Oene Minihek"

I hope Harsh De Silva will not fall into his Traps and "his ill  gotten money".

Not money but "Wisdom and Vision" is the need of the day

He is even worse than to S.B.D. in political back stabbing.

"Devio Sakki" is politically invigorating and inspiring to the carder.
Do not revisit the phrase but find new themes.

"Palu Gedara Walan  Bidinno = JVP Eka".

What it means is only seeing others faults but not something in one's own eye.

We have enough phrases in our vocabulary which I have forgotten in old age.

Equally I despise guys like Wijedasa Rajapaksa who were wheeler dealers and S.B.Dissanayake the "back standing guy".

Very soon, Dilip Jayaweera and Dammka Perera will add to the failing list.

I have already shown that NPP/ JVP is the only party in power who started losing its popularity within six months mainly due to the credible gap between it's promises and its performance capacity.

Furthermore, it has lost its base vote value to around 40% from 44% in the local elections, a 4% drop which is politically significant.

SJB had kept it's voter base at around 25%.

SLPP is maintaining it's base of 7.5% a drop of 2.5% from its 10% base.

However, is PA/SLFP is just ahead of UNP and keeping at 5% level.
It did not contest last time round and I am unable to see any of its trends except Attanagalla and Gamphaha which is losing its grip to J.V.P
JVP gulped part of its voter base and unless it opposes this trend of JVP it will become and extinct political species

Then the SB which came in with a view of establishing as a new and modern parry, in spite of throwing money at will it could not keep it's 10% presidential election total, simply because it is not presenting an alternative policy that can revive this country.
It is more of the same  JRJ "consumerism politics" or "open economy" without a workable program, nonetheless a theory ad nauseam
It looks like it is eating into UNP base of 5%.
The biggest loser is UNP which is now hovering around 2.5% well below SLPP.

I wish to propose these two elements (Ranil/Dilip) including Dhammika Perera who financed politics from KUNU Deals from UK (hospital refuse from the West imported to Ceylon and India)

The bottom line is rhetoric of NPP/JVP is fast losing  credibility in the political sphere and their ability govern and pull the country together.
They are good at counter arguments but not governing the country as a sovereign state.
In other words timidity towards India and trying to reach far away country like Vietnam.
No brainier from the start.
Hiring a plane from Vietnem from its resources abroad is the culmination of their "bone or pigheadedness" whatever their explanation in defense.

If Sajith did such a thing these YouTube guys would have field day.

However, they are able to keep near 50% popularity in villages and suburbs that is why their nickname "Game Ranil" in "Jangi Aragalaya".

In my analysis NPP is just "Flash in the Pan" political movement which will settle down at somewhere around 25% level just like SJB in the long run which is a significant improvement from 3% carder level politics (which is 2% outside the statistically significant 5% outliers).

In any case, their recent shift from rhetoric and carder level politics to populism of the far right will not be good for their own survival but would be the gradual deterioration into "we also ran or we also governed in Ceylon" .

That would be the recorded in that way in political history.
I am trying to be "Kumar David" a veteran Marxist Political Analyst.

He passed away, recently in California just like Nalin De Silva in America (?where I do not know).

In their own analysis and expressions they raised the bar high enough even their carder itself cannot rise up to when the occasion demands.

That is the reality of local or grass root level politics.

Their exuberance (Thota Langa and Maligawa Episodes) and artificial self confidence that they can solve any problem in Ceylon are to their own ruin.

I am happy people have quickly understood their own predicament and how politics works and they will automatically lower their expectations and get on with their normal day to day life.

The System Change is eluding them by design.
It is a sad predicament.

Without money in the coffers and no way to improve productivity we will gradually fall into the abyss.

I would quit politics, right now but my Anti-Indian stance will be the end point, discussed below.

In the final analysis, JVP's bone headedness and having to learn while on the driving wheel would be a disaster for the entire country.

I think they never expected this type of victory and thankfully the general public has realized their premature aspirations would evaporate into thin air and have stamped a reasonable brake on their military type of administration.

If they realize that running a state is different from running a party that would be the beginning.

It does not look like they are ready learn and unfortunately that is their style and common sense does not prevail in their machinery.

I hope I am proven wrong.

It was a big distraction to my academic work and Linux promotion to 10% of the PC User Base.
Yes, I am fast approaching that target.

Reborn OS or Reborn ARCH Linux is my current interest.

In India Linux less than 3% simply because Indian cannot make money on Linux with "War on Muslims" looking eminent.

Only British United India and it will fracture again in no time.

Now why I am anti-Indian?

It is very simple with a few examples on medical grounds.

1. Never use Indian drugs for my patients when I was practising in Colombo, Negambo and Kandy.
40% drugs are dud by the time they leave India.
a recent death of a guy due to faulty Indian vaccine.
There is NO Quality Protocol in India.
Mass production is their strategy,

2. We cleared this country from malaria in 1968.
We still import Malaria from India (frequent travelers)

3. I did some work for Navaloka Hospital in "National Quality Management" before the turn of the century. The won the award.
Few years later I went there for  some basic investigations (VISA purposes). The unit I improved was handed over to an Indian Company (to save money on utilities) and it has now gone back to Indian level.
I went to another hospital for my tests.

4. The last one in revolting.
In Kandy, Kheels Supermarket (now managed by Indians) there is a Top Level special Chain of restaurants.
I go there for a our own Cinnamon Tea.
While waiting for the Tea to be made (it is an elaborate process) I ordered an fruit plate from the Indian Stall.
I examined all the fruits specially the Indian Apples.
There was a big maggot in the Apple.
I returned the fruit plate and I did not go there for nearly six months.
When I did go there again I used to take delicacies  from only the Italian Unit, that also only Pizza.

We had a big Guava tree and in our garden.
All its fruits have maggots and I never tested any and left them for the squirrels that frequent out garden.
They make drey in out roof.
I went back home for three months to sort few things including Water, Telephone and Electricity bills and one day the domestic aid came and plucked few of the Guava fruits.
I warned her but she had a bite and there was a maggot. I told her cut it before eating and remove the maggot before.
I think these maggots have come from India and they are destroying our agriculture.
Now anything Indian is foreign to me even in Australia but I love there Wades.

Kandy City in the Serendib

 Kandy City in the Serendib

Clockwork precision is something lacking in this country in workman's skills as well as in time management.

I leaned it from my father and the colleague principal who taught me the basics of it and the value of it which I perfected it in the Western World.

In the Labour Era (not the current one that ended recently) which ended with Mr. Arther Scargill, Mr. Tony Ben, Mr.Ken Livingston and many other names that I forget workers were well organized and down to earth and work to precision in
London and suburbs (with the inflow foreign migrants including from Eastern Block), this tradition of working according to clock and round the clock has slowly and surely disappeared, with conservative's sweeping role of market reforms and greed instead of welfare society, eroded to an extent that my decision to come back home was better option, than of becoming a Senior Citizen there shivering in cold winter expecting the summer to be sooner than late.

The British labour force maintained the British economy vibrant.

It is no better here for Senior Citizens except for politicians with clout.

The time and time management was ingrained in the minds of workers then.

Then came the goals, finishing targets and profits that ended up in stock market crisis.

Strangely now, Americans are talking about social welfare and they cannot achieve the targets of their choice in time frame before the elderly eventually succumbs to ill fate.

What I am writing is not about the time management mentioned above but about the clock itself.

That itself is not the grandfather clock but the tiny digital wrist watch of mine which I used for the the last 16 years.

Before that I must write a few of the stupidest things I have done.

The things I did before going abroad was more ridiculous.

Whenever, I go abroad the first thing I used to do is to buy the most expensive wrist watch I could afford somewhat like a status symbol (I once lost one of them but was able to claim insurance-that was the only time I had claimed insurance in spite of heavy premiums I paid) and when I leave again buy something bit expensive.

This has become a liability when I come home.

I used to hire a taxi from Kandy to Colombo for Rupees 600 those days and I had several favorite and good drivers to take me all round the country (I was true tourist not the stingy white skinned ones that come here for boys now) and when ever I leave the drivers ask me,

"Sir, Mata Oya Wage Orolosuwak Denna Barida

Sir Can you give me a wristwatch like what you wear".

One fine day I was in a good mood I gave it to the driver and told him it is expensive and take care.

This is the guy who used to take a famous films star around the country and he never got any presents for the film star guys.

He was happy and I was bit unhappy, to tell you the truth but overcame that attachment in good time.

When I came the next time he was very unhappy, the reason being his lodging was ransacked within a few months and he lost most of the valuables including the wrist watch I gave him.

This incident changed my outlook completely and from then onward I used to buy the most inexpensive (sometimes children's ones) for daily use and disposed all my other comparatively expensive wrist watches to whoever who had some liking for them (mostly relatives).

This change (buying the cheapest and not looking at it) was consolidated when Ms.Chandrika was the President and her clock work activity was in direct competition to that of mine for 11 years.

The story about my clock is very simple.

One of my cheap (not the cheapest - I had brought from abroad) watches stopped working.

I went to a watchmaker in Kandy who was very good and showed him the watch.

He looked at it and said nothing can be done.

I walked in, to buy a new one and he called me back and said he can put a circuit for Rupees 240.

I asked him how long will it last and does it keep the time correct.

Ten years without a problem and it is Korean one he said.

I obliged and it was working for the last 16 years except for the brief period of one month.

I was busy and yesterday I went to another shop to change the battery.

The inexperienced girl there checked the battery and said it is OK but the circuit was faulty.

I could not believe it.

I asked her to check it with a new battery.

Result was the same.

She fiddled with the contact points then called an older lady to help and she fiddled with it some more and put some anti-corrosion oil and said, nothing doing.

After all this I told them for 16 years this worked all right and I paid only rupees 240 and I cannot find my favorite watchmaker and I left saying that my eyesight is weak, otherwise I would have found what was wrong.

All in all I now made my own diagnosis.
It is mechanical and nothing but.
I came home late and I left the watch on the drawer but only after a little fiddling and thinking that I would attend to it sometime later.

So, I did find the time and fiddled with it and it is working now perfectly.

This how Ceylonese operates.

Either the workman / work woman was / were not properly trained or they were trained to cheat.

I will not pass the judgment on this issue but only state that honesty has no place in this country.

The man who ran the shop with the honest watchmaker vanished within five years. The owner raised the rental and I never so him after that not even in the pavement.

This is the status of life in this Kandy City in the Serendib.

I am almost in my retirement I want the clock to stop lest I get older than now
.

Fast forward, I am in Australia and I bought two  semi digital wrist watches for Rs.1600/= each and gave one to our domestic aid who sometimes comes late (she is a very busy woman).

She passed way recently due to lack of medicine in Ceylon.

I made sure the family got some cashew nut treat.

She was very good cooking jack fruit, bread fruit and Kiri Ala (Innala).

Leave Flowers Where They are

 Flowers

Why Worship with Flower?

In evolution, plants with flowers were recent.

They had a reason for existence.

Propagation of the species with added tolerance to extinction under adverse conditions was the purpose.

Flowers tend to bloom seasonally when there is scarcity of water.

Fruits are formed to take the next generation of seeds.

Nuts are often bitter, so that animals do not eat them.
If they eat them they are not digested in the digestive system.
They make the flesh of the fruits attractive so that they eat and spread the seeds far away from their origin.

Fact that they are edible should not be taken as a license to store them in cold storage.

If one destroys a flower he/she in fact upset the balance of nature.

Buddhist offer the flowers at the shrines of Buddha, to remind themselves of the unsatisfactory and transient nature of life.

They recite a Gatha as they do that.

Actually plucking of water lillie flowers, make the plant to go into hibernation and often end up with death of the mother plant.

That is my discovery.

My bone of contention is even if they are not producing fruits, say jasmine they attract a plethora of insects who live on the pollens and nectar.

Not only we destroy the flowers we destroy the insect life, too.

Buddhist who say “Let all living beings be happy and content” are violating one principle while acquiring merits on Anitta Meditation while offering flowers at the temple.

One can argue that merits acquired with offering flowers are devalued by demerits of interfering with insect life.

Why not remind oneself of Annita every time one sees a flower.

Why one has to pluck them?

Attachment to the flower is as bad, in Buddhist way of thinking.

Why pick fresh flowers?

One can easily choose the fallen flowers, instead.

Which show their demise glaringly and epitomize the principle of Anitta, much better.

There is a paradox here.

If one sees a beautiful flower and set in motion Anitta principle, instead of enjoying the very nature of natural beauty, to me it is sadistic.

Let them blossom in the place they have chosen for themselves.

Enjoy the beauty.

Don't be a sadist or a lovebird, unless you have cared them yourself.

If you cared for them, it is hard to pick them or destroy them, even if they are in the plenty.

Adore them but do not treat them like plastic toys.

They are living creatures and there is a purpose of their existence.

I do not mind a little girl wearing them on their hair to enhance their natural beauty.

But teach them the nature's secrets while fixing one or two flowers on the head or hair band in the hairdo.

Tell them a plastic flower lasts long.

Do not tell them the Anitta Concept too early and make them sadistic in formative years.

This is where I come in conflict with Buddhist notions.

Why only animals are sacred.

Evolutionary-wise plants are more sacred, since they support all life including animals.

This is why I say Buddhism does not teach science, especially biological science in its core themes.

This might upset some mafiosi Buddhists but it is not as bad as Victor Ivan stating kill all the cows when they are at the end of the milking cycle, old and feeble, for beef.

Take him to task if a Buddhist gets agitated by my above comments.

It is far better extend some Metta to Me and My Flowers.

That will make you feel better.

It feels much better if you have few flowers in your garden.

This April I had five exotic flowers.

It put my April joy at a high level, all together.

Medical Crisis in Ceylon

 Medical Crisis in Ceylon

Yes, there is a big Medical Crisis in Ceylon which is mismanaged by the current NPP/JVP Government.

I think my friend Rajitha Senaratne did a good service at a affordable price when he was  the Health Minister.
He had the political acumen and I am sad to see he is no longer in the parliament.
I am pretty sure if this government try to prosecute him he will win easily at the level of the judiciary.
Problem is the cost of the lawyers.

He would have been better off had he being a lawyer.

I do not know whether a dental guy can become a lawyer.
I know one dental student became a lawyer.
He was doing law before entering the Dental Faculty and he did not complete his dental career.

Rajitha is a dental guy and he was prosecuted only in a procurement of dental materials and not any drug.
I think he paid the fine.
One cannot be prosecuted twice on the same offense.
It is long time ago and I cannot remember the details.
I did not ask him any direct questions.

Let bygones be bygone.

I have not met him for over 40 years but I followed his political career.
His son is no match to him and I think he (son) is a political liability.

I wish him political luck in the future
He is a guy who should be in the parliament until he decides to retire

This piece is about health crisis.

1. There is acute shortage of drugs in hospitals.
Our domestic aid died recently due to lack of medicine in both government and private dispensaries.

2. There is acute shortage of vaccines.
What is available has expired and is the cheap Indian stuff.

3. Some hospitals have outstanding electricity bills.
This has direct effect on process of sterilization.

4. This is true of the water bills
In my analysis health is proportional to the amount of water that is consumed.

5. Disposable gloves are in short supply
Doing a postmortem is a big liability.

6. Incineration facilities are not available.
Even incineration at the cemetery one has to pay a big sum.

7. Disposable syringes are expensive and not available at both public and private sector.
One has to buy them even in private hospitals.

8. Catheters for kidneys patients are in short supply.

9. Worse part is most of the qualified doctors are leaving Ceylon at the first opportunity.

10. Ceylon was a country which WHO took as a model country.

11. Under trying conditions Gotabaya managed the coronavirus admirably.
These guys cannot match a dust particle in his feet.

I think Gotabaya is entitled for a sarcastic smile looking at how NPP/JVP guys perform in health sector while in power.

12. The crisis in Health is enough to bring down this Government in the next election.

People do not expect free meal but they prefer Free Education and Free Health.

13. This a good opportunity for IMF to cut our Health and Education budget further.
Please wait till the next tranche and see how much is allocated to health.
I guess it is less than the total digitization of citizens of Ceylon by an Indian Company.

Government has got it's priorities right.
Digitization is first and health of the people is the last.

Catholic Action in Full Swing

I think Cardinal Coory should be appointed as the Upper Chamber Chairman.

Before the new constitution we had Lower Chamber elected and the Upper Chamber appointed by the parliament.

The way things are happening we must create a Interim Upper Chamber and appoint Cardinal as the Chief.

I think without him advising the NPP/JVP, we cannot progress in Ceylon.

It is obvious they are impotent in governing this country without the Cardinal.

Cardinal Cooray is in full charge of the police.

How I see this is, it is pretty obvious  "Catholic Action" in Full Swing.

1. Catholic Action was in situ from the independence.

It was Sirimavo who took some action to nullify their influence.

Then came S.W.R.D. with Sanga, Veda, Guru, Govi and Kamkaru, the Five Forces.

It ended up,  killing S.W.R.D.
2. In 1962 .JR.J. also had a go with the help of the Church.
Ozie Corea was the guy who killed S.W.R.D.

3. Now under Anura the Third Attempt is in full swing under the pretext of Easter Sunday Bombing.

In my analysis Easter Sunday Bombing was also a staged program of the Catholic Church.
Catholic churches were not attacked but other denomination churches were the Target.
I may be wrong in this assessment.
I am quoting some YouTube interpretation.

Anura is caught in the trap and those who are accused (police authorities) are conducting the final prosecution.
That is Ravi and Shani double.

Now one should analyze Nisantha Jayawardena case with this background in mind.
I have no respect for our police due to many personal experiences but this Nisantha Jayawardena is good guy with talent.

He may be having lot of other facts about Church involvement in Aragalya to remove Gotabaya.

He should removed before more information could filter into the public domain including homosexual affairs of the Church.
Plan is to remove him and let Ravi and Shani cook up a New Story.

There are 20 odd guys listed in the Parliamentary Committee investigation.
This is the very reason part of the report is not made public citing security concerns.

The damage is already gone what security concern is left?
Hidden part will expose cardinal and other guys involved in Aragalaya.

Besides, the involvement of Anura and his clan in inciting Aragalaya with the help Subashwaran Allirajah (Ranjan Rmanayake) needs to be made public.
This government came into power with backdoor deals to which the Catholic Church was directly involved.

It is a criminal sending a good police officer to oblivion.
We must get rid of Ravi and Shani.

Full Report should be released for public consumption.

These things happen only in CEYLON.

"Meva Venne Lankawe Vithrarsi Ane".

If Sunil Aiyah (popular singer Sunil Perera) was alive he would have come up with a good song.

I am not good at making lyrics.

But I will have a go.

It should go like this.

"Cardinal Thuma Natuwa Meva Venne Ne, Meva Venne Ne"

"Cardinal Thuma Natuwa Meva Venne Ne, Meva Venne Ne"  that is the chorus.

May Upe Uthum Rata Ballata Gihilla, ne, ne
Inna Balloth Rata Gihilla, ne, ne

Invoice Dala Hari
Pita Rating Hari
Italian Hari
Mola Tikak
Genna Palla Bola

Pohora Natuwa Goiyyo Pissu Natai Bola
Beheth Natuwa Byiyoh Hutan Wela Bola

Invoice Natuwa Bola
Genapiya Beheth Tika
Indian Eva Nam
Upita Epa Bola

Edited as per comments from my friends.

"Mun Apita Pukxx Arinna Hadanne"

These guys are confirmed homosexuals.

They include Ranil Wickramasinghe and Mangala Samaraweera.

My Guess is NPP/JVP guys are confirmed homosexuals.
Haruni is a living example.

"Bola Deka Galavana Eka Thamai Honda".

Orchidectemy is the medical term.

Bath Tika Edenakan
Thamai Upi
Beheth Tika Enekan
Thami Upi

Nata Nata Enne
Nata Nata Enne

Please edit this and I only use J.V.P. traditional words which I was hesitant to use in the past. Now they are in power and I am away from Ceylon;
I am using "Five Freedoms" of American Constitution, to good effect.

"Ake Puriya Rita Maduna", was a term I learned in a city school.

Dollar is Sliding

While European currencies are remaining stable Dollar is sliding.
I EU = 1.16 Dollar
One year ago
1EU = .97 Dollar
Interest rate may go up as per money spent on Israel War.
With oil price hike due to slow replenishment of stocks food prices are bound to go up.
This changes are seen very well in CEYLON.
