Human Bond and Human Cruelty

Let me start with the cruelty.
I was poisoned three times in my life.
Once due to strict management reasons and twice due to personnel vendetta.
One of those incident was almost fatal and I left private sector for good after that incident.

I Left Ceylon never to return but I did return.

I was mindful of these tragic events and took action almost immediately for full recovery.

I never did not bother to find who did it.

Reminds me of the Dhammpada Verse, (could not find the number of the verse) when the person who was hit by an arrow looks for one who shot him, instead of removing the poison arrow.

"Just like the dude shot by the poison arrow will die, if all he cares about is who shot him, what type of bow it is, and why,  etc.

I never bothered to follow the tracks.

By chance I found the verse 124 which states that poison does not effect one who does not carry evil intentions.

That may be true in my case.

This piece is about Human Bond in general not cruelty.

I used to remember Christian names of all my associates and address them by that.
I think I acquired this in my school and continued this in UK.
Never say Sir to anybody (unless he is a teacher).

Never use the Christian name for Superiors.

This is where I do not like the term "Sahodaraya" in daily life and in the University.
That is the difference in me and JVP/NPP.
I even hated the common addressing term, Uncle
I turn back and say;
I think my brother/ father did not visit your mother at night.

I say I have a name and you are free to address me using that perhaps, if you are afraid use doc part in front.

But I do not care.

I can still remember their names some including the surname whom I have recruited in private sector and in the University.
This approach puts them at ease and I did not have to follow my instructions, rarely orders.
Some of the good ones I miss, when they left the assignment recruited  for, for a better one.
One last question I ask is, how long one is prepared to work with me.
Guys who left me were mostly computer guys with talent.
Non of them had the chance to learn Linux Tricks from me.

I use to say; it a loss for me but DO NOT lose him!
