They
are killing Cricket-ICC
First Time in my life I never watched a single cricket match.
It was my wife who told me that Australia had won.
She had gone out that day and heard it in someplace.
She knows how much I loved watching cricket.
Not any more.
She thought, I was gone bonkers.
None of it.
I slept through the day and woke up at 3.30 PM.
Yes, up very late in the evening.
I was up all night making finishing touches to my last book.
I in fact, I finished three books, while the cricket was going on
without fireworks.
Watching cricket was boring.
I was actually hoping for New Zealand to make it.
I had been in New Zealand, the best people in this world live there.
They are so nice in the field unlike rowdy Australians.
Now let me say why I hate cricket now.
1. I hate the way ICC manipulating the game.
2. Players have no say.
3. They have change the colour of the ball.
4. They have made mandatory changes at 25 overs.
5. They have made mandatory field settings.
6. In all they have made cricket unplayable for ballers.
They just go through the motion and routine.
7. Worst of all they reprimanded all the spinners, before the first
game was played on fancy balling actions.
8. I hate Duckworth Lewis formula.
At least in world cup they should have the option to replay the full
game if the rain interrupts play, for the sake of the spectators.
9. Then the television coverage and money we have to pay the channel
owners.
10. In a nutshell it is money the ICC officials want.
It is not cricket anymore.
Money rules.
11. With India, Australia and England dictating at ICC level, rest of the cricket nations can play for Kiss of Death.
I was pretty sure Sri-Lanka would be eliminated.
I had given my reasons two years ago.
No need of repeating.
I had stop talking about cricket under Mahinda Chinthanaya ruining
(people stop laughing and smiling under their regime and it is over
three months, NOW still people do not crack a joke-even WITHOUT a
political SLANT-most passive citizens on this planet) the day to day
simple life of our people, going down a racial and HATRED precipice and with appreciably rising,
cost of living (sky rocketing).
As regard to Australian cricket, I would not watch them as long as the present captain is playing.
It is painful to watch him play.
Why can't they find a better captain?
I hope the Australians, ask this question.
I certainly believed that Australia could win the cup without him.
Nowhere, compared to New Zealand captain Brendon MaCulum.
R.I.P. for cricket in Sri-Lankan context and smaller nations.
The best thing that happened to cricket was India losing and their betting machines can now be used for bonfire.
