Flame of one lamp can shine thousands other lamps full of oil.
Be yourself a shining light to others.
This s a verse in Dhammpada translated into English
My Oil Lamp Simile and Physics
There are three components;
1. Lamp made out of dried mud (Mati Pahana and Vilakku in Tamil)
2. Oil
3. Wick
The three in combination makes the flame or life.
In physics only 5% is physical matter, the rest 95% is dark matter or non-light force of our Universe which makes our Universe to expand and recede from us faster than the speed of light.
In other words, every moment we tend to have less of this world.
Our world is shrinking physically, every minute.
The red light shift of our spectrum is explained by this theory of expansion (and theory of receding).
I am not interested in Einstein Theory of physics but of course, outside of his physics.
If we can master this energy (this is also called Free Energy) space travel is chicken feed, since it is faster than the speed of light, that is why it is receding from us.
Of course we have to Shape Shift (in alien technology) when we achieve this speed since our matter body will incinerate into quarks and guon and not atoms.
My names for this are charms and enchant.
Our concept the Universe is limited by our own limited vision but our imagination can run riot.
The Real Universe in my belief is not limited and is much more than that.
Mind and Dhamma
Nirvana is explained as extinguishing the flame of Life but the oil, the wick and the lamp in physical form remains.
There is a problem here, if one assumes mind as a form of energy.
Energy cannot be destroyed but transformed.
It is the "State of Flux" or "Uncertainty Principle" of mine.
There is book coming on Uncertainty Principle.
Dhamma also has a similar principle which I have not comprehended, yet.
The phrases below that I hijacked from the Web and they are not mine.
Suppose an oil-lamp is burning;
Its oil is impermanent and subject to change
The flickering flame is not only a source of light but also a source of life.
Kerosene Oil Lamp
Now come to Kerosene Oil lamp which has killed so many lives including children in Ceylon and India.
Lot in Ceylon have tried to make it safer device but spill of oil leads to bigger fires. We should band this device gradually and introduce a electronic lamp. Many use cellphone as a torch but it needs constant charging which contribute to global warming, let me not discuss that here.
When I travel, I carry a tiny diode head lamp and a diode thumb lamp. In case the plane encounters a massive turbulence (this happened to me twice, one recently).
Richard Quest has a lengthy explanation on this saga. Quest is also an Aviation Correspondent for CNN and extensively covered the story of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared on 8 March 2014. Quest later wrote the book, The Vanishing of Flight MH370: The True Story of the Hunt for the Missing Malaysian Plane, published by Penguin Random House on 8 March2016.
Kerosene oil lamps
Most kerosene oil lamps are designed with a chimney, a burner, a collar, wick, a shade, and a shade collar.
Kerosene oil lamps feature chimneys that are quite fragile and must occasionally be replaced
