Caldera Linux is one of the there distributions, I used from a book.
The other two were Red Hat and Debian,.
I could not (did not know how to ) boot Debian and Red Hat.
Later I bought book on Red Hat Linux and I could not boot Red Hat 7 but managed to boot Red Hat 8 with 2 CDs.
Then I migrated to Fedora . They were workstation based.
But my real love were Madrake Linux and Suse Linux with KDE desktop.
It is strange I do not like KDE and now settled down with Debian Gnome which is absolutely a fantastic distribution.
I have come a long way and almost finished downloading most of the distributions, including
Vinux,
PureOS
BunsenLab Boron
All these can be run on BOX utility of Debian Gnome.is a virtual session.
I am going to try again whether I can boot DSL on a USB.
It failed in the past.
It is a CD distribution and has not got ESP boot part in a alive session.
Yes, I could not boot it using a USB.
