Soul Searching and Goal Seeking Behaviour

I must apologize, I have left out, our politicians by default since defining them is extremely difficult.

They are like quicksand changes overnight in the direction of the political wind.

Good citizens took trouble in 2015 to create a new vision called “Good Governance”.

See what happened?

What was the outcome?

Did the citizens reach any of the goals set out by the mass movement?

Instead, what happened was the present government and the president took advantage to come to power and did sweet nothing afterward.

They took hostage of the “Good Governance” protocol.

Those in power presently and those who were ousted have no clue to come out of the mess we are now in.

There is no political cue (billiard terminology).

 

I will look at it in a different perspective in a new piece somewhat philosophically.

It is call none of the above. 

In other words none of the politicians is suitable to govern.

Let me dish out the broad categories of soul searchers and goal seekers.

Group I

Seeking solace from Meditation

Group II

Extreme Sports at tremendous personal cost and sacrifices

Group III

Drug Addicts and Alcoholics

Group IV

Gamblers and Lottery Addicts

Group V

Spiritualists and Gurus or Messiahs dishing out techniques including Yoga

Group VI

Undesirable politicians

All these groups are attempting to reach their target goals by physical or mental efforts.

Now, let me tell you the biochemical basis of the psychedelic components that are produced by the body, by its own biochemical mechanisms.

They are few in number of endogenous chemicals.

1. Adrenaline

2. Acetylcholine

3. Serotonin

4. Dopamine

5. GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid)

6. Melatonin

7. DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone)

The mind is taken for a ride by these chemicals in various combinations.

The end result is an illusion, surreptitiously an addiction of some sort.

It is interesting to note that chocolates which is non addictive can dish out over 30 feel good chemicals far in excess of the above list.

So my advice is for one who does not reach the desired goal/s (attempted) have a chocolate one before and one after the protocol they practice.

It works.

In my case good snooze with or without dreams have more benefits.

Please do not be an addict to any but choose whatever which works for self.

I am not against any of the techniques but moderation is my bone of contention (not addiction).

The deception is the default operational mean in mankind.

It begins with self deception by the time one is an adult.

There is nothing wrong with this, if it is self contained.

But deception morphs into an addiction of some kind.

Addiction to become a messiah is the next evolutionary state which can be very virulent, like a potent virus.

It begins, to infect others who come into contact, be that, he/she a teacher, a preacher, a sociologist, a politician, a scientist or a financier.

(Becoming a philanthropist is the ultimate goal).

All of them ultimately tag into a dogma or dogmata and they need followers to spread the message.

The next stage is to gamble with odds on stage.

The stage is the Internet.

Internet has no restraints.

There is Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and blog space for any soul to activate this self deception in grand scale.

There is information overload since the Internet has the capacity to take any junk without filtering or screening.

Then comes the mass surveillance by the Internet Giants and providing that infrastructure to big spy agents like CIA and KGB.

The Internet that came as "a Free Forum" is now “a in spy catcher” of global scale.

That is where one loses his or her FREEDOM but become a part of self deception and perpetuate it in an endless cycle.

My addiction was blogging almost one piece day, thinking it might inspire creative thinking of my self and others who may interact.

Then I found that it was a self deception and most of the visiting (over 50% by me-to correct errors in spellings and language and content) was done by myself.

A revelation that made me to cut down on blogging to almost zero!

With that revelation, I found more time for me and my family.

Unfortunately, the dog is no more and I sometime wonder that it would have lived little longer had I spent less time in front of the "Global Idiot Box", my computer.

It is far better to spend more time in the pantry and make the soup tastes better and relieve oneself of global Internet deception whether it comes from your local politician or Trump or Putin.

Mankind loves lies.

In fact, the whole humanity is based on layers of lies, one on top of the other.

The modern history is concocted lies whether Eastern or Western.

Please do not blame only the CIA, which is of course is 'a factory of lies'.

One recent example is going to the moon on the first attempt.

This is the culmination of set of lies that started with the “god created the world and humanity” for his/her own fun.

So why Sworn on the Bible and makes a lie a truth?

This piece is hypothetical and any interpretation or mis-interpretations are all mine.

It should not be dissected out or expanded beyond context.

The bias here is on Buddhist point of view.

There is the universal concept of mind body duality.

Then the added confusion is that there is a creator behind this duality.

On the above duality there are two creative 

products.

One is the material (body).

The other is the subtle mind entity.

Which came first, the mind first or the matter first, is another dimension to this conundrum.

This has to be read in conjunction with Linda Moulton Howe’s Truth Hunter presentation in YouTube.

Her obsession is about alien agenda and genetic manipulation by two or three alien ( greys, blonds and reptilian) entities.

Then there is an entity / entities called EBENs (Extraterrestrial Biological Entities).

If I say, for the point of view of the present discussion, mind can exist on its own and the presence of body is the biggest hindrance (Sansara and Rebirth in Buddhist context) to the liberation of mind ( the body grappling it out of control).

In that context, Meditation and Mind Control (not MK-Ultra) and attaining that state of liberation, what we call Nibbana is a meaningful exercise.

If that state can be achieved, then the awakening of the mind is limitless and would permeate the universe of understanding and reality of the Mind itself.

Nibbana is not an empty shell, after all.

To that extend EBENs are without a mind (the corollary that body/matter can exist without mind) and that is what escaped the discussion by Linda Moulton Howe.

I operate on the grounds of optimism.

That was why I took head on the political system when everybody who was somebody was a political sucker under Ma Ra Regime (including astrologers) and was mortally scared to voice an opinion.

My optimism was that we (collective response of the unbiased) can change and the average citizen was very intelligent (cannot be taken as an inveterate sucker for too long) except the party stooges.

The idea was a “Sea of Change” not biased towards any particular section of the political wide.

Unfortunately, it seems we are going backwards.

Let me give few examples.

MS is an object example and his conspiracy with some cohorts was defeating all the objectives of the grand design of 2015.

The consensus was to abolish all forms of dictatorships coming in the shape of executive presidency.

That includes all the governors of all the provinces.

The governors are an offshoot of this extended dictatorship.

White elephants!

I feel sorry for Roshan Watawala who made these pseudo political entities in front of the TV Screen.

They made their political platform with the help of Roshan and abandoned the journalistic potential for posts that have no validity.

MS came in to abolish the presidency but he multiples them by eight for his own political survival.

His days are numbered and ousting him is a minor matter, come elections, considering the alarming grip the Rajapaksa family had but was evicted resoundly (but marking their time for a repeat catastrophe) by political will of the people.

Now RW had misinterpreted the will of the people as a blank note for his swindles.

He has done irreparable damage to him and his party.

MR trying to make inroads at a time when general populace is alert and proactive, won’t be productive because he is surrounded by crooks.

This is where my optimism has rejuvenated itself.

I never thought average voter would shed political alienation and begin to start thinking pro-actively.

My estimate was around 20% politically independent voters who wanted radical change.

My political apathy reflected the shrinking percentage of this band over the last three or four years.

It looks like it is going up and up and going beyond 30% and making a politically significant lot.

There is no party to represent them and my early interest of the need for a forcible "Third Force" to emerge out of the ashes of phoenix.

I never thought this would happen even in my wildest dreams.

It is happening currently and the current mood of optimism needs to be sustained at least for another two years.

There going to be lot of surprises on the way and the inept inactivity of MS and RW have made the current impetus valid for radical changes (not ad hoc).

2009 ජනවාරි 08 වැනිදා අමතක නොවන බ්‍රහස්පතින්දාවකි. ‘සන්ඬේ ලීඩර්’ පුවත්පතේ කර්තෘ ලසන්ත වික්‍රමතුංග අත්තිඩියේදී වෙඩි තබා ඝාතනය කැරුණේ එම උදෑසනය. ආරංචිය එනවිට අප සිටියේ පොල්හේන්ගොඩ ප්‍රවෘත්ති දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවෙහි ශ්‍රවණාගාරයෙහිය. ඒ එදින උදෑසන 10.30ට පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත කැබිනට් තීරණ දැනුම්දීමේ ප්‍රවෘත්ති සාකච්ඡාව ආවරණය කිරීමට සූදානම්වෙමිනි. ඒ වනවිට කැබිනට් ප්‍රකාශක ඇමති අනුර යාපා එම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේම බිම් මහලෙහි ප්‍රවෘත්ති අධ්‍යක්ෂවරයා සමග සාකච්ඡාවක නිරතව සිටියේය. දහයයි තිහට ශ්‍රවණාගාරයට එන ඇමතිවරයා එදා කැබිනට් ප්‍රවෘත්ති සාකච්ඡාවට එක මහලක් උඩට නැගීමට පැය 1 1/2කට වඩා වැඩි කාලයක් ගත කළේය. ඔහු පැමිණි ගමන් කිසිවෙක් කිසිවක් විමසන්නටත් පෙර කීවේ කිසිම දෙයක් සිතාගත නොහැකි බවය. ලසන්ත ඝාතනය ආණ්ඩුවට මුහුණදීමට අපහසු ඒ සා බරපතළ සිද්ධියක් විය. සියල්ලෝ සසල වී සිටියහ. කාගේත් මුහුණුවල අතිමහත් කනගාටුවක් මෙන්ම කෝපයක් දිස්විය. රාජපක්ෂ රජය කිසිවකුටවත් සිතාගත නොහැකි අඳුරු අගාධයකට රට තල්ලු කරන බව ඒ මුහුණු මුවින් නොබිණූ කතාව වූයේය. ප්‍රශ්නය වන්නේ ලසන්ත මියගොස් වසර දහයක කාලයක් ගතව තිබියදීත් ඒ අගාධ රූපයේ අඳුරු සෙවණැල්ල තවදුරටත් සමාජය වෙලාගෙන තිබීමය. ඒ කාලකණ්ණිසහගත නිද්‍රාවෙහිම සමාජය ගැලී සිටීමය. අප කෙතරම්ම දුර්වලයන්ද, දුෂ්ටයන්ද, පිලිස්තීනුවන්ද කියනවා නම් එළැඹෙන ජනවාරි 08 වැනිදාත් අප සිටින්නේ ලසන්ත මරා දමා මොහොතකට පසු සිටිය තැනමය. එනම් වසර 10ක් ගතවීත් ඒ තිරස්චීන ඝාතනය හෙළිදරව් කරගත නොහැකිවූ තැනකය. නිසැකවම මේ දුෂ්ට ව්‍රතයට අප එකිනෙකාගේ හෘදය සාක්ෂියෙන් නම් සමාවක් නොලැබෙනු ඇත.
2009 ජනවාරි 08 උදෑසන ලසන්ත සමග සබඳතා පැවැත්වූ දුරකතන අංක පහක් හඳුනා ගැනීමට ත්‍රස්ත විමර්ශන ඒකකය පරීක්ෂණ කළ අතර ජේසුදාසන් නමැත්තකුගේ හැඳුනුම්පත් අංකයට ලබා ගත් ජංගම දුරකතන අංකයක් ගැන විස්තරයක් දැනගැනීමට ඔවුන්ට හැකිවිය. ඒ ජේසුදාසන්ගෙන් ප්‍රශ්න කිරීමේදීය. ජේසුදාසන් එහිදී කියා තිබුණේ යුද හමුදා බුද්ධි අංශයේ සේවය කරන පියවංශ නමැත්තා තමාගේ හැඳුනුම්පත් අංකය වෙනුවෙන් දුරකතනයක් මිලදී ගෙන තිබෙන බවය. පියවංශ ගැන සොයාගෙන යෑමේදී මරදානේ ඒ වනවිට පවත්වාගෙන ගිය ටි්‍රපොලිමාකට්හි විශේෂ බුද්ධි මෙහෙයුම් ඒකකයක් ගැන දැනගැනීමට ලැබී ඇත. පියවංශ නමැත්තා එම ස්ථානයේ සේවය කරමින් සිට ඇත.
සිද්ධියට සැකපිට බන්ධනාගාරගතව සිටි ජේසුදාසන් 2012දී මියයයි. ඒ වනතුරුම පියවංශගෙන් කටඋත්තරයක් ගැනීමට ලසන්ත ඝාතනය පිළිබඳව පරීක්ෂණ කළ කණ්ඩායම පියවර ගෙන නොතිබුණි. උසාවිය මෙම පරීක්ෂණ ක්‍රියාවලිය අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට (CID) භාරදෙන ලෙස ත්‍රස්ත විමර්ශන ඒකකයට නියෝග කරන්නේ මේ තත්ත්වය තුළය. එය ඉටුවන්නේ 2016 අගෝස්තුවේදීය. පියවංශගෙන් මේ පිළිබඳව ප්‍රශ්න කිරීම සඳහා අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වුවමනා බව කී නමුත් යුද හමුදාව ඊට අනුකූලතාව නොදැක්වූයේය. අධිකරණය නැවත නැවතත් කළ නියෝග හමුවේ එකම එක අවස්ථාවකදී පමණක් යුද හමුදාව විසින් පියවංශ අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ඉදිරිපත් කැරිණි. එහෙත් ඒ තනිවම නොව උසස් නිලධාරීන් දෙදෙනකුද සමගය.
ලසන්ත ඝාතනයට පැයකට පමණ පෙර ඒකාබද්ධ මෙහෙයුම් මූලස්ථානයට බස්නාහිර පළාත භාරව සිටි යුද හමුදා ප්‍රධානියකු විසින් ඒ පිළිබඳව තොරතුරක් ලබා දුන් බව එකල ප්‍රචලිත විය. යුද හමුදාවේ ඉහළ නිලධාරියා විසින් විමසා ඇතැයි කියන්නේ ලසන්ත වික්‍රමතුංග උල් ආයුධයකින් ඇන මරා දැමීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් තමාට තොරතුරක් ලැබී ඇතැයි යන්නය. ඒ ගැන සොයා බැලීමක් කරන ලෙසද හෙතෙම ඉල්ලීමක් කර ඇතැයි ප්‍රසිද්ධ විය. යුද හමුදා නිලධාරියා මේ තොරතුර ලබාදී ඇත්තේ එදින උදෑසන 9.00ට පමණ බවද කියැවිණි. ලසන්ත මරා දැමුණේ එදින උදෑසන 10.30ට පමණය. ඒකාබද්ධ මෙහෙයුම් මූලස්ථානයේ මෙම තොරතුර ලබාගත් නිලධාරියා ලසන්ත ඝාතන පරීක්ෂණ සිදුවෙද්දී එම තොරතුර ගැන අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවද දැනුවත් කර ඇතැයි දැනගන්නට තිබේ. එහෙත් මේ කිසිම දෙයක් පසුපස නොගිය හෝ සිදුවීම් හා සාක්ෂ්‍යය මගහැර ගිය පරීක්ෂණයක් බවට ලසන්ත ඝාතන පරීක්ෂණය අද වනවිට පත්ව තිබේ.
2016 සැප්. 27 වැනිදා ලසන්තගේ දේහය යළි ගොඩ ගැනුණි. ඒ විධිමත් අධිකරණ කටයුත්තක් වෙනුවෙනි. ලසන්ත ශල්‍යකර්මයට භාජනය කරනු ලැබූ වෛද්‍ය මොහාන් සිල්වාගේ වාර්තාවත්, වික්‍රමතුංගගේ පශ්චාත් මරණ පරීක්ෂණයට අදාළ වාර්තාවත්, රජයේ රස පරීක්ෂක වාර්තාවත් එකිනෙකට පරස්පරතා දැක්වූයේය. දේහය ගොඩගත්තේ විමර්ශනවලට අදාළව අනාවරණය වූ මෙම පරස්පරතාව හේතුවෙනි. දේහය යළි ගොඩගෙන පශ්චාත් මරණ පරීක්ෂණයක් කළ යුතු බව පරීක්ෂණ නිලධාරීන් අධිකරණය ඉදිරියේ කරුණු දක්වා තිබුණි. ලසන්ත ඝාතනයට යොදා ගත් අවිය විදෙස් රටවල ඌරන් හා බැටලුවන්ගේ ඝාතකාගාරවල එම සතුන් ඝාතනය සඳහා යොදා ගන්නා අවියක් බවට නිරීක්ෂණය කැරිණි. ලසන්තගේ ගෙල ප්‍රදේශයේ දරුණු කැපුම් තුවාලයක් දක්නට ලැබී ඇත්තේ එම සුවිශේෂී අවියෙන් එල්ල කැරුණු ප්‍රහාරය හේතුවෙනි.
එහෙත් මේ සියල්ල අවසානයේදී ලසන්ත ඝාතනය පත්වූයේ ඝාතකයෙක් නැති ඝාතනයක් බවටය. ඝාතනය පිළිබඳව අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන සිටි සැකකරුවාද මුදා හැරිණි. ජනාධිපතිගේ මුග්ධ රණවිරු ආවේශයද ඊට හේතුවිය. දැන් ලසන්ත ඝාතනය පුවත්පත් පිටුවල විතරක් ලියැවෙන, ඉඳහිට දේශපාලනඥයෝ එකකු දෙන්නකු මතුරන දෙවදනක් පමණි. මේ ඝාතනය සිදුවන විට ආරක්ෂක ලේකම්වරයා ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂය. යුද හමුදාපතිවරයා සරත් ෆොන්සේකාය. ඒ දෙදෙනාගෙන් අදවන තුරු ලසන්ත ඝාතනය ගැන ප්‍රශ්න කර නැත. යහපාලනය ආවේ ලසන්තගේ පණසුන් සිරුරටත් වාරුවෙමිනි. ඔවුහු ලසන්තගේ ඇටසැකිල්ල පවා ටික දිනක් යනතුරු දේශපාලන වුවමනාවන්ට විකිණූහ. දැන් මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේනගේ සිට රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ දක්වා කිසිවකුටවත් ලසන්ත වික්‍රමතුංග ගැන වගේ වගක් නැත.
ජනවාරි 08 වැනිදා උදෑසන බොරැල්ල කනත්තට ලසන්ත සමරන්නට එන ප්‍රකට කිහිපදෙනෙක් වෙති. රවි කරුණානායක එක් අයෙකි. රවි, ලසන්ත වෙනුවෙන් කළ ඉටිගෙඩියක් නැත. රවි කරුණානායක එක් දෙයක් කළේය. 2015 ජනවාරි 08න් පසු ලසන්ත ප්‍රධානත්වය දැරූ පුවත්පත් දෙක රවි අනියමින් සියතට ගත්තේය. ඔහු පුවත්පත් දෙකේ අනියම් අර්ථපතියා වූයේය. යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුවක් ලසන්ත ඝාතන පරීක්ෂණ ඈලියාවට යවන විට ලසන්ත ගැන ප්‍රවෘත්තියක් පළකිරීමට රවි අයත් කරගෙන සිටි පුවත්පත් දෙකෙහි කළමනාකරුවෝ ඉඩ නොදුන්හ. ඉතා අසීරුවෙන් හෝ එම ප්‍රවෘත්ති පළ කළේ කර්තෘ මණ්ඩලයේ බලවත් වුවමනාව මතය. හැම ජනවාරි 8 වැනිදාකම ලසන්ත සමරන්නට බොරැල්ල කනත්තට යන මිතුරු රවි කරුණානායක ලසන්තට සැලකුවේ එහෙමය.
ලසන්ත ජනමාධ්‍යවේදියකු ලෙස අසීරු අභ්‍යාසයක් කළ පරිසමාප්ත වෘත්තිකයෙකි. ඔහුට ප්‍රවෘත්ති හඹා යෑම සම්බන්ධයෙන් නිදි නැති, වෙහෙස නැති ඇසක් හා කාය ශක්තියක් තිබුණි. ලසන්තට කවර මට්ටමේ අසාධාරණකම් වුවත් ඔහු ජනමාධ්‍ය වෘත්තිය වෙනුවෙනු ලබා දුන් වැඩ කිරීමේ ආදර්ශය අනාගතයේදීත් නොනැසී පවතින්නකි.

Fishing a Guppy Fish out of misery is not easy, especially if it jumped out into the cement floor of the rooftop garden (from a water plant pot).
Let me start with saying that my major interest is water plants.
I breed guppies only to control mosquito menace.
I am successful up to 90% of the time, after many years of trial and error.
Mosquitoes do lay eggs, but they are cleaned up by guppies, when I do not feed them, one day out of 10 days.
Roughly 10^th day they come out as larvae, quickly to be devoured by hungry guppies.
Water plants grow fast when there are lot of fish adequately fed.
Their urine is my fertilizer especially for the lilies.
Toady I pulled out the Japanese water fern in excess to give more freedom for the guppies to swim and one accidentally jumped out.
Once they are on the cement floor catching them is not easy.
One cannot hand pick.
If you do that one squeezes the kidneys and they die within 24 hours.
I quickly dam the drainage outlet of the cement floor with water plants (growing out of the top of the containers).
If you don't the fish reaches the drainage pipe by default (it follows the water flow by instinct) and gone in few minutes never to find again.
I open the tap in full throttles and look around to see where the guy/girl is?
It is often very difficult to find and it is in panic mode anyway.
Once found I pick them with a leave made into a funnel with little water at the bottom.
It took over 10 minutes to locate it but quickly cornered it and landed it on its rightful place.
My cascading principle of letting water into the next pot of plant at a lower level works most of the time for wondering fish but not when one takes a mighty flying jump.
Even though, I used to enjoy a fish soup instead of wine now, seeing a fish in death dance is painful experience.
Every day, I see fish (fresh water fish) vendors selling live fish (from Mahaveli River) just out of water from the river or pond.
This city is called Kandy.
Mind you the magpie (local singing bird) steals my guppies every day.
Being a bird lover growing lilies (the leaves are a cover for the fish) has its own surprises.
