Latest Debian Information
?? NO Genome.
After trial and error I got it right.
It was Soaky Linux 8 sitting on a single partition that interfered with the booting process. My advice is not to use Sparky Linux even for testing.
For some unknown reason I could not get Gnome to mount after installation.
However, Plasma mounted as usually but very slow to response.
I went to panic mode and downloaded 4GB Image and it did not install on prepared partition to my liking. It froze.
Then I deleted those partition and allowed it to choose partitions.
It included small SWAP partition.
It is installing now.
I hope it does recognize other distributions which include BlueStar Linux.
New developers are probably making mistakes and I cannot pinpoint where they are going wrong.
Kernel in the USB is 12.6.31
Install update 12.6.42+Debian 13.
Luckily no data loss.
All this started after I installed Simply Linux a Russian ALT Linux derivative.
It is based on an earlier kernel.
New kernel in my observation cannot coexist with other kernels.
Pity for other distributions.
By the way installation is very slow.
I think Australialian repositories are not updated and they must be looking for alternative repositories.
It was bit of problem with BlueStarOS.
It never went above 500MB usually below 50MB.
Newbies be aware of the pitfalls.
This is why I tried it on a Sunday.
It is Monday morning past 8.30AM.
I have to go to sleep at 9AM
I had a early breakfast.
I am going to sleep.
