I am Using the World Slowest Linux Installer on my Old Laptop-Elive Installer

There were 4 dead ROPES.

RAM not enough while uding 650MB of 4GB RAM.

Hard Disk fragment for writing ZEROs and 1s.

Third no sense of EFI partition and not givven an option to configure boot option.

Pretended WiFi OK but did not ask for Password.

Could not verify its Home Site.

Music was nice but very old.

It took 3 hours of my time.

I could say I offered 3 hours to be of some service to the community.

I am Installing AV Linux Moksha, I accidentally found and did not keep a copy of the image. If the Developer sees this he should leave a copy at Bodhi Linux Web Site. Bodhi Linux has not UPDATED for 2 years and if  has EFI problems.

Moksha is finished before I could finish this piece.

I managed to fine their site and the Iso image.

It is a very beautiful Enlightenment Desktop.

I started after my evening Cup of CEYLON Tea at 3.15PM, since I haven't got anything especial to do with two Debian Instances installed and added my required application.

I saved ELive Image in a black Generic SD card of 16GB. I have a single USB SD mounter, I bought from a pavement hawker in Kandy, many moons ago. In fact, I bought two for Rs. 100/= and one is not working. In fact, I paid Rs. 200/= for one in actual terms. I used to got to Singapore for less than Rs. 8000/= and the computer with the BIOS Virus, I bought for 35 US dollars the petty cash left after doing my usual buying spree.

It is 16.55PM now installion is over and installing Software and Removing redundant stuff.

I love its Terminal.

Zsh I believe.

Overall,  I am Happy with ELIVE, since in my old age and vision impairment, SLOWNESS is a blessing.

I say, mild obesity is a blessing, for some reason If I am bedridden for 2 weeks, say another Coronavirus Episode, I would survive to watch the next Olympics in Brisbane.

I do not watch preliminary matches butnI see Japan, America, AUSTRALIA and New Zealand eliminated.

I hope Elive would not ruin my GRUB.

In fact, it did not give me a chance to opt for ESP and it would not boot.

Did not configure WiFi.

With this Netboot Isos coming thick and fast it is a blessing having a Elive USB where Internet Connection is poor.

It is removing unnecessary languages ar 15.09.

It used 25% of the battery even before installation. It is plugged in and not yet fully charged.

By the way, AV Linux Moksha is the fastest installer and is a modified Enlightenment Desktop.

No USER and Root Password, yet.

I think I messed up by accidentally pulling the USB stick.

No User and Password.

I'll do it again since the battery is fully charged.

Good Bye to Trixie Linux and Linux Local and Global Conflicts

Yes, I am saying, wecome Good Bye to Debian Trixie.

I have been using Testing Forky for a long time, and  there is no need for me to waste space on my hard disk for Trixie. 

I only loss is Blender and I have no intention of using it until 2027.

I started counting files from the stage of 2000 in total except Debian Edu which is a Server Iso. Those days I was bery much interesed in all Desktop Type.

Window Mangers were not my concern except Awesome, IceWM and Enlightenment 

I just clicked all Desktops and I get a file figure of 3371. Additional 1371 files. But with GNOME and KDE Desktops I remain under 2000 files. What is saved I use for my own additional applications.

No to Sandboxed application by default.

I miss few of the KDE stuff.

I am vocal against KDE anyway.

Bulky.

Slow to Boot.

I give only 90seconds for journal and file integrity at boot time.

UPDATES not a problem.

It is done automatically in small doses.

I wasted 1 solid Hour with Emmabantus and still not up to date and ditched it.

Timeshift is not my kind of game.

My DATA can be accommodated in 32GB USB. One of which is empty and used for booting testing images.

Last one was MXArch which I did not like which is a community Iso.

By the way,  I have MX Linux and 2 of its derivative Moksha and AVL me to run Enlightenment Desktop on my Old Laptop.

They are pretty good.

I used KDE and do not use FlushBox and HATE XFCE4.

File Cleaning 

One point I always forget.

DEBIAN flished everything in its /tmp file at boot time.

I simply avoid using / var since I do not use Opera and Vivaldi or Brave.

Firefox I am very much comfortable.

It is under 250MB in English Language.

My AbiWord is 311MB.

It is not bulky.

In addition I have

Dillo

Epiphany 

Falcon

But Midori of PUPPY Linux is the only missing browser.

I hope somebody revives it.

Crunch Point of ARCH 

CachyOS os is global.

BIG Linux is Brazilian.

It is based on MANJARO.

I prefer Brazilian Football more than Linux.

There is some conflict arising, if I try to Install both in parallel in my Laptop.

Basically, the conflicts of many GRUBs

Even Debian is scarred of it

Debian and won't touch BIG Linux GRUB.

Just today, I figured out a way forward.

BIG Linux is Beautiful but with only one Desktop at a time. I could not have several dedktops in one Installation and switch between them when I feel like.

BIG Linux is a Big Failure.

Same problem with Mageia 10.

It went for default KDE.

It has a GNOME image but I do not bother trying it. It is Redhat based and I HATE RPM and DNF.

This is the very reason I ditched PCLinuxOS my old Heart Throb.

Bottom Line, healthy Rivalry is good.

Paranoia is an incurable disease

This paranoia of Isreael against its neighbour Iran is a case in point.
