Salient Extracts from Balangoda Ananda Maithriya Thera

Ananda Maithriya Thera does not give credence to Buddha was born in Ceylon.

He believes in Sumana Saman (Ratnapura) and Kataragama Devas instead.

Kandyasamy or Skands Kumara is the Tamil name.

He said five Dyanas but did not name them except they are born as Brahma Devas. They never obtain Nirvana but slide back to lower Devas and humans or even lower.

I have added few of my own having done some basic research.

Kalpa is the Lifetime of a Universe.

The current Bradrakalpa is an extremely magnificent Kalpa with 5 Buddhas to be born.

Kassapa

Gautama 

Already four born and one Maithriya to be born.

We are in the Bradrakalpa.

After this current five Buddha Kalpa there are 59 Kalpas where no Buddhas or Arhats are born.

Abhudassa Kala is the name given for the period after the period of Mettaya Buddha. 

According Balangoda Ananda Maithriya Thera this a magnificent period to walk the path laid by Gautama Buddha and follow his teaching unless one wants become another Buddha.

I have no sympathy for those who follow the Tibetian Passe-Buddha. It is a Mahayana or Indian Tradition by enlarge.

No more about Mahayana.

I dish out Theravada the Text of the Elders including Balangoda Ananda Maithriya Thera.

Samatha and Vipassana are the two sides of the same coin.

One need initial Samtha Bhavana to enter into Vipassana

1. Kanaka Viapassana without Samadhi, one cannot progress.

2. Upapadaka Vipassana where anitta, dukka and ananta 

Ariya Magga

It is only through "Vidhassana Bhavana" one can achieve the goal, at least the Stream Entry. 

Satara Sati Pattan is the way.

"Samatha Bhavana" without understanding of Dhamma one can obtain higher Dyana and birth in Heavenly Worlds including Maha Brahma. 

This is the approach of Hindu Teaching.

Their belief is that Maha Brahma is eternal and he has created this World. Additionally beings possess "Soul" and the Soul is eternal.

We do not believe in creation of World Systems but Grand Energy conversation which has a natural order of creation and dissolution according to natural physical laws.

We Buddhists additionally do not believe in "Soul Concept".

Our belief is Maha Brahma having consumed all his good Kamma would end up in a lower lever, even lower than humans (but as animals because he has consumed almost all Kusala Kamma).

It is rare to be born as a human.

It is even worse to waste that time on Samatha Bhavana which is alluring as id Ayahuasca inhalation, to say the least but does not lead to the Path of Nibbhana.

I have no problem with anybody practicing Meditation but when one reaches the Dyana level one becomes addicted and this addition is counterproductive and may even lead to physical illnesses including strokes and hearth disease.

I have seen these adverse events as a medical practioner. 

At least six cases before our marriage.

 This is why I say one needs a reliable trainer versed with Dhamma to practice meditation. One does not get anywhere in 6 weeks if one does not follow it up.

Currently, I do not practice meditation since I have got a lot to finish as regard to my books. 

It is time consuming.

By the way, blogging as a pastime.

Kalpa is the Times Extent of Buddhas 

In one Kalpa one may have upto, to Five Buddhas. One Buddha is the least in one Kalpa.

We are in the fourth Kalpa.

Gauthama is our Buddha.

Buddha went through 6 years of hardship before attaining Enlightenment.

This period of rigorous practice can go up from 7 days to 7 months. 

This all depends on the mental purity (stage) achieved by the previous life.

I have to make a correction here that 100 year time limit to understand the Dhamma. Longer life time considered was as an impediment. 

It is relative. 

According to Ananda Maithriya Thera there we Kalpas with 1000 year Buddhas. Those have come and gone and our one is in 100 year cycles.

So do not waste time.

Waiting for next Buddha is prolonging Samsara. My mother wanted to see Maithriya Buddha and that was her wish.

Next Buddha is Matteyya or Maithree

One who has obtained the Niyatua Viyawara and who is destined to become the next Buddha. 

He has already obtained it from our Gautama Buddha. 

It is long time to come and we do not know who he is. 

Some even say Balangoda Ananda is destined to be the next.

He has never claimed it but has many attributes.

I have never met this Thera but has sent messengers to him when I have had difficulties and when I needed advice. Twice in my life he guided me through my difficulties and I am glad to say I have overcome them in good time.

I deliberately did not visit him thinking that I may ask more than what I should ask. 

I needed to know the minimum and nothing more. My wish was to see him after accomplishing my tasks and appreciate his help. He had passed away including Rev. Narada when I returned home from abroad.

Since then Buddhist Publication Society has been my Dhamma Fountain.

Fortunately, Balangoda Ananda Maithriya Thera has left recording. He was a brilliant in his Dhamma Exposition.

There are Kalpas without Buddha where there are nobody who is destined to become a Buddha. Those periods far exceed the periods with Buddhas are born.

Assuming the number of Kalpas to come in the future is 59 out of 64 we are in the 4th Kalpa and the next Kalpa is the 5th Kalpa when Mettaya Buddha would be born.

Happy People

Happy People

I just got into a happy mood and decided to do a survey of happy jobs.

I have listed two of them and two unspecified jobs.
 
In my life, I have gone through many jobs mentioned here but none of them made me really happy.
 
I became happy by leaving an unhappy job and finally became totally happy when I retired.
 
So one way to be happy is to leave an unhappy job.
 
You cannot do that if you have kids.
 
To be single as long as one can manage is another way to be happy.
 
So when you get married do not expect to get happiness as a bonus.
 
One thing good about marriage is one can share unhappiness with similarly unhappy partner.
 
It is actually a good therapeutic to know there are other unhappy people.
 
Let me give an example when India loses in cricket we become happy knowing there are 2 billion unhappy Indians.
 
It does not work other way round, since there are only 20 millions unhappy people on this side of the Palk Straight, when we lose.
 
Small is beautiful in one way or the other.
 
Come back to my analysis there are no lawyers, judges or bankers in the happy list.
 
I will leave you to work out why they are unhappy.
 
One clue is they make happy people unhappy.

1. Judge gives a judgment against you.
 
2. Lawyer takers the money and make you lose the case.
 
3. Bankers give you an unwieldy loan, the first time you meet them which cannot be paid in your life time.
 
If you are in a happy job make sure that you never meet the above three in your life.

Come to think about it, I feel animals are much happier than humans.

1. In my opinion happiness is a relative concept.

2. I prefer the neutral perspective (neither happy nor unhappy).

3. It is a spontaneous reaction of well being related to some volition (action) that makes the mind recharges itself but unfortunately, one wants more and more of it (food, alcohol, nicotine, cigarettes).

4. This urge for more brings in a cycle of unhappiness.

That is why I say happiness is relative concept.

5. There are rearrangements of happy and unhappy networks and chemicals in one's brain.

6. Feeling down is part of the cycle (one should not change with drugs-unless insight is lost) some have long happy periods and short unhappy cyccles.

It is like day and night.

7. Sleep (not induced by alcohol or drugs) is the one that interrupts this cycle and rejuvenate the brain neurotransmitter activity.

8. First five minutes after waking up in the morning, is the most important period, we generally mess it up by going for coffee or tea (some alcohol) or opening up an argument.

9. One should use this five minutes, even while brewing the tea, for moment meditation (react with the water that is cold, boils and makes a fine cuppa) or Metta meditation.

10. If one cultivates the above, on a regular basis, creativity returns to your life.
Every day becomes a happy day at least for five minutes.
That is the beginning.

But if you can be neither happy nor unhappy, that is the Gold Standard.

This is my son's recommendation. 

He said when he was only 7 years old.

Career
De Alwis father wanted him join the railway department but de Alwis was attracted to radio broadcasting. 

De Alwis joined the Visithura magazine, part of the Davasa group, in 1966 as a feature writer. He started working for Radio Ceylon as a freelance announcer on 17 December 1967.
He became a permanent announcer in June 1971 and was promoted to programme producer.
He became a Grade Two announcer in 1974 and afterwards presented programmes such as Sonduru Sevana, Serisara Puvath Sangarawa and Shanida Sadaya on Radio Ceylon's successor Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).
He later joined the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, presenting programmes such as Anduna, Ayubowan and Sampath Rekha (National Lotteries Board).
De Alwis was a prolific lyricist, writing hundreds of songs. He wrote his first song, Hada Puda Asune Senehasa Bendune, in 1969 for Rupa Indumathi and Malkanthi Nandasiri.
In the same year he wrote his first film song, for Lokuma Hinawa directed by K. A. W. Perera.
He wrote songs for more than 150 films.
He wrote songs for numerous singers including

During the 1987–89 JVP Insurrection de Alwis received death threats allegedly from the Deshapremi Janatha Viyaparaya, the armed wing of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), but as a socialist he did not take them seriously.
At around 8.30pm on 31 July 1989, armed men, allegedly belonging to the DJV/JVP, stormed into de Alwis' home in Homagama.
De Alwis tried to escape through the back door but more armed men were waiting in his back garden.
His wife pleaded with the armed men and they assured her that they only wanted to question de Alwis.
They dragged him outside and shot him dead.
His bullet ridden body was later found 200 yards from his home.
His remains were cremated at the General Cemetery, Kanatte on 7 August 1989.
A member of JVP was found guilty of the murder on 17 December 1992 by the High Court of Colombo.
In July 2014 a part of Independence Square Mawatha, the road leading to the SLBC headquarters in Colombo, was renamed Premakeerthi de Alwis Mawatha.

My first article as a medical student on Medical Bulletin was on Space Sickness.
I have diversified my interests and rarely write on medical matters except atherosclerosis or cholesterol conspiracy.
It took almost 40 years for the astronauts to admit their plight.
That itself is a conspiracy.
It is strange my current obsession is SPACE and bought a book yesterday on Astronomy to browse.
It has few lines on Edwin Hubble (Hubble Telescope was named after him) who is for me the Father of Astronomy!

NASA's yearlong spaceman still is nursing sore feet, stiff legs and fatigue, even after nearly three months back on Earth.
Retired astronaut Scott Kelly gave his first major address to NASA employees Wednesday, confiding that while he may have looked good upon landing in Kazakhstan at the beginning of March, he didn't feel that well after returning from the International Space Station. His 340-day mission was the longest single U.S. spaceflight ever.
"When I got out of the Soyuz ... I didn't really look too bad," Kelly told a packed auditorium at NASA headquarters in Washington. "But that was only because I'm a very good actor. I think I should be nominated for an Academy Award.
"My goal here was not to look great. I just had to make sure I didn't look worse than the two guys I was with. My colleagues would never let me hear the end of it," he added with a smile.
Kelly was accompanied back to Earth by two Russians, one of whom shared his entire nearly yearlong flight.
Back home in Houston, Kelly said he had burning skin, rashes and flu-like symptoms. He said he felt so bad that if he hadn't just returned from space, he would have gone straight to the emergency room.
"But that's why we do this," he said. "We need to learn these things if we're going to go to Mars."
NASA wants to understand how the body copes with a year of weightlessness, as it gears up to send humans on much longer journeys to Mars beginning in the 2030s.
Kelly, 52, who retired from NASA shortly after his mission, is now on the speaker circuit and working on a book. He and identical twin brother Mark, a retired astronaut who took part in his brother's medical experiments as a ground subject, sometimes share center stage these days. Last week, they were honored at their elementary school in New Jersey, now named for them both.
During Wednesday's presentation, which was broadcast to NASA centers nationwide, Kelly joked that on the space station, "I changed positions so many times, you would have thought I was running for president." No longer a civil servant, "I can say that now."
Someone in the audience wanted to know if Kelly ever felt as though he had to get off the space station, at any point during his mission.
"I never felt quite like I was climbing the walls," he replied, although not even halfway through, "I'm thinking this is a really, really long time."
In fact, as his Russian Soyuz capsule approached the orbiting outpost in March 2015, Kelly said to himself, "Man, this is probably a really dumb idea to be spending a year on the space station." His previous station stay, five years earlier, had lasted barely five months.
"This flight was twice as long and I felt twice as bad," he said.
It took Kelly about six months to recover completely from his five-month station flight. This time, he said, "I suspect it's probably going to be much longer, especially considering how sore my feet still are after 2 ½ months. But the good news is I do feel better all the time."

Why I propose Alternative Physics

Our brain is limited by its “Three Dimensional understanding of the Matter".

It is hard wired into our brain and limits our thinking.

This does not mean we cannot go beyond and explore the universe in multi-dimensions above and over the three dimensions.

In “string theory of mathematics” there supposed to be more than 11 dimensions.

That is the only way to understand the universe and beyond.

The true freedom of thinking would emerge only when we free ourselves of another concept in current physics.

Space (limited by three dimensions) and time (by our own imagination).

Unfortunately time is unidirectional only flows forwards.

We cannot go backwards unless we have older materials to examine, for example asteroids and meteorites.

So we got fixed at 4.6 billion light years (that is the limit of the speed of light) of the beginning of the earth (our solar system and universe) and failed to accept that the universe is much more and beyond.

We got frozen in time.

In that process we forget there is something called evolution in this world and beyond in the universe.

Then we come nearer to our Comfort Zone of life which is limited by mere 100 years.

Books, like Bible (only about 2270 and Koran (much later) which have no significance in our life and the whole universe.

Human evolution is probably less than 3 million years and more significantly for the last 50,000 years.

The modern humans have exterminated other humanoids (this happened in this very Lanka) which the archaeologists started discovering but American scientists who suppressed it in the name of Genesis and Christianity.

For Christianity and Muslim religions only contribution in the modern world is Bible War and current Social Media Wars.

The religion is void for humanity.

Race or skin color is void in the modern world.

We indeed are shaming humanity in the name of religion, race and territory, USA included.

What is needed is to free ourselves of three dimensional and unidirectional time of physics.

Current physics is limited by matter and life.

That is why vast 95% of the Dark Matter and Dark Force were not discovered by our ancient physicists.

I raise my hat to Eisenstein and Edwin Hubble who opened the door of three dimensions to more dimensions (unlimited by our imagination) within the last century.

Science has not dawned yet only atheists can carry the baton forward.
Our modern scientists were restricted by Church and Islam.

With the dawn of New Science or New Physics all the dogmas would dissipate into thin air, (rather the universe beyond what we seem to know currently).

The number of possible states of the matter and dark matter is limited only by our ability to perceive them in real time and not the evolved time.

The time is a concept that limits our imagination (and run riot especially to the past) and does not let us enjoy this moment of happiness (sunshine).

The Lifespan of Advanced Civilizations

A very short lifespan for advanced civilizations may be a realistic probability because as our own case shows, technology mushrooms very rapidly and is accompanied by many dangerous effects such as;

1. Overpopulation

2. Depletion of natural resources

3. Pollution and worse of all

4. Rapid escalation of nuclear stockpiles which can easily reach the level where they are capable of wiping out the whole population of a planet.

By the same token, if we were to find significant number of other advanced civilizations in our galaxy it would mean that some at least had been able to overcome the dangers that are now looming over our own civilizations.

If they have reached this advanced stage, it would mean that they have been able discard all of their animistic (BARBARISM) attributes such as materialism, selfishness, territoriality, dominance over others and killing instincts which in a technological civilizations are likely to lead to self destruction.

They would have been able to to mature into higher levels of cosmic intelligence characterized by spirituality, altruism, respect of others, adherence to peace and love for each other.

Joining such a galactic society would indeed be a colossal step forward in the intellectual and ethical evolution of our civilization.
 
This might also be the reason why we have not yet heard from any such advanced civilizations as may exist.
 
There must be a galactic rule that says that before a new civilization is invited to join the galactic society it must show that it is able to overcome the major crisis that probably befall all new technological civilizations.

Since we are still in the midst of this evolutionary problem, there may be advanced civilizations waiting to see how we do before inviting us to join the galactic society of advanced civilizations.

Arthur "Art" Buchwald (October 20, 1925 – January 17, 2007) was an American Humorist best known for his long-running a column in the Washington Post, which in turn was carried as a syndicated column in many other newspapers.

His column focused on political satire and commentary.

He received the Pulitzer Price for Outstanding Commentary in 1982 and in 1986 was elected to the American Academy and institute of Arts and Letters.

Now that concrete proof of the existence of the ETs was available to the US government, the ETs started sending messages to the leadership which knew about the Roswell incident.
 
The central message was that nuclear weapons were very dangerous and should be eliminated, plans to build nuclear power plants should be shelved immediately and in return the ETs would help the world develop new sources of energy which were safe and essentially unlimited.

The elimination of nuclear was naturally a military decision, but the civilian leadership of that time was also involved.
 
This was the time of the cold war.

Harry Truman was the President.

Truman was no Roosevelt - he was a small town Southerner, a decent man, but no great statesman - not exactly an internationalist or overly broad-minded.

He had no regrets about using the atomic bombs.
When Germany attacked Russia, Truman said "If we see that Germany is winning we ought to help Russia and if Russia is winning we ought to help Germany and that way let them kill as many as possible, although I don't want to see Hitler victorious under any circumstances."
 
He and his cold war Generals were the people who would be making the decision on what to do about the ETs overtures.
 
The decision was made to ignore the ETs urgent messages.

A secret department was created to investigate the ETs, their downed spaceship and their ultra high technology.

How did the thought process go?

How did they decide what the best course of action was?

Since the whole affair is so highly classified, we can only speculate.

So here goes (pure speculation):

Super patriotic General (his father may have been at the Alamo):
"I smell a rat. What do these wags want?
What is their angle?
What is in it for them?

Who do they think they are fooling?
We weren't born yesterday.
Once we disarm they will invade us with their fancy weapons".
 
Blue blooded Politician (his was the third generation of ivy league educated men in the cabinet):
"The great nation of the United States stands between these blood-thirsty savages and the entire world. We are the world's last hope. It is manifest destiny that the US makes the last stand to defend the world against these aliens."
 
Member of the Cabinet (a self-made man - his father was a used car salesman during the Depression): "These aliens are a bunch of saps. We will just string them along until we figure out their technologies. That can't be too difficult, we already have all those Germans working on the rocket program. If not, we can just con them into handing their secrets over and keep all our nukes as well".
 
Someone who looks rather like Dan Quayle jumps up and starts hysterical shouting - "USA! USA! USA!".
The general asks him to shut up and sit down.

The OSS (CIA) man in dark glasses (nobody in the room knew his real name):
"Wonder what kind of sex these aliens have?
We could get some pictures and spread them around.
Nobody in the world would touch them again with a barge pole.
We have already taken care of all the witnesses.
Its like the aliens never existed."
 
The President takes a deep breath and with great pride in his voice:
"Boys, today will be remembered forever in history as the day, America did right by the world. Just keep it to ourselves for now. Shut it down like it never happened.
You all have a good weekend now."
I am sure we can come up with a lot of different scenarios.
 
When governments keep information, which rightfully belongs to all humanity, so secret, I think we have the right to speculate all we want.
 
There is of course no need to be at all charitable in our speculation about their motives.

The decision was unanimous - the aliens were to be ignored.
 
The Truman team basically did not take the ETs that seriously.

After all any US marine could break one of those ETs, that they had found on the ship, into two pieces with both his hands tied behind his back.

Our jewels - the nukes would be preserved and strengthened.

The incident would be completely covered up. It was a wonderful day in America.
When the Truman term ended in 1953, General Eisenhower, the golfing President entered office.

The General knew exactly how to fight battles and win wars.
Just command someone to do it while he went golfing.
 
Eisenhower's cabinet contained two of the most evil men in the world since WWII - the Dulles brothers (Kissinger, Dick Cheney, David Addington, Karl Rove and Elliot Abrams come pretty close in matching them in evil).
 
One brother was the Secretary of State and the other one was Director of the CIA.

And then there was Nelson Rockefeller - he was no stranger to secrecy and the intelligence agencies and Eisenhower had already assigned him chairmanship of the President's Advisory Committee on Government Reorganization.
In addition Rockefeller was appointed the head of the Operations Coordinating Board responsible for integrating the implementation of national security policies - the OCB included the Under Secretary of State, the Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Director of the Foreign Operations Administration, the Director of Central Intelligence, and the President's Special Assistant for Psychological Warfare.
The ET phenomenon had been well analyzed by the military by now.
 
The report that Nelson Rockefeller saw was devastating - it basically predicted the end of world as he knew it.
Nelson Rockefeller was reputedly a 'liberal', eastern republican, not like the narrow minded ones from the south. However, Nelson also believed in the 'American way' and the superiority of 'Western civilization'.
 
He was proud of his white, Anglo-Saxon heritage, American capitalism and his Christian upbringing.

He was also an internationalist who believed in spreading these American/European values across the world through evangelizing.
 
The other earthly races were the white man's burden and he would show them the right way to live.
 
But these ETs were going to spoil all that.
They appeared to be far more advanced and superior.
 
They even talked in terms of peace and brotherhood.

If the world at large found out about these superior beings, why would they bother with what he and America had to say?
It would be the end of American and Anglo-Saxon domination.
It may even be the end of capitalism.

With cheap, unlimited energy sources like the ETs promised, the third world would advance at a rapid pace.

All poverty and want would be eliminated.
Within a couple of decades, they would catch up with the West.
With free energy and technological progress, the countries with the highest population would be the most powerful.
China and India would be dominant with the US a distant third.
Christian beliefs and dogmas were also at risk.
 
This would never do.

The ETs had to be outwitted and defeated.
 
The world was to be united against the ETs under the leadership of America and its allies.(Of course with clean, free energy, there would be no pollution, no climate change, no global warming, no poverty, no starvation - but these were not the problems of the 50s and 60s in America nor considerations for the 'free market' republicans who wanted the market to fix all these problems).

Truman and his team had done a good job keeping the ET information from the public, but now it was time to take it further underground, not only would the public not know about, it would be hidden from all elected officials as well.
Nobody but those within military/intelligence complex who were already involved with ETs would have that information and any others would get to know only by invitation from those already in it.
This group would be financed completely off the books, by black budgets from the CIA and other agencies or from friends in the know in private industry (banking, defense and energy/oil companies) or even self-financed by illegal activities when necessary.
The ultimate cover up had begun.
The private industry partners in this black project were  very likely led by Nelson's brother - David Rockefeller. Together with other European banking families, US defense contractors and energy interests, the two Rockefeller brothers (or at least Nelson alone) would help the US intelligence communities (CIA/NSA/NRO etc) manage the operation.
The golfing president signed off on it and essentially signed himself out of the loop without quite understanding what he had done.
The US Military/Intelligence Cabal and ETs
The plan to handle the ET phenomenon consisted of several projects (all run by the blackest of the black ops):
Try to catch up with the ETs technologically - develop similar space vehicles as well as weapons to disable/destroy such spaceships. This project of building spacecraft like the ETs was handed to the defense contractors who were partners in the operation.
Discredit all witnesses to UFO sightings or close encounters with actual ETs. This involved planting CIA assets in every organization which believed in UFOs and buying off any journalists or writers who wished to investigate the ET phenomenon.
The worst part of it was catching those who did have encounters with the ETs and intimidating them, if necessary kidnapping them, torturing them, drugging them or eliminating them if that was what it took.
Get people in the US (as well as the rest of world) to fear and loath the ETs (without ever admitting that they existed).
Here the plan got more complex - it involved psychological warfare.
The plan was to have the military/intelligence members pretend to be aliens and then abduct ET sympathizers or those who may want to expose the cover up.
The abductees were drugged, hypnotized, tortured or sexually abused (the intelligence operatives have long discovered that sexual abuse was a easy way to traumatize people) using techniques perfected in the CIA's mind control project MKULTRA.
Besides drugs and hypnosis, bombarding the victims with concentrated electromagnetic rays was also used. 

The latter technique caused paralysis and often made the victims unknowingly have out-of-body experiences. While under drugs and hypnosis, false memories of alien atrocities were planted in the victims minds. The whole thing sounds like science fiction, but it turned out to be a very successful program.
Since the ETs often visited rural areas, a special group that secretly mutilated cattle was created.
This was sure to turn farmers against the 'demonic aliens'.
If nothing worked outright murder was always an option. They had discovered ways of driving people completely crazy or even inducing cancer in people from a distance using the Electromagnetic weapons.
The groups involved in the disinformation, abductions, torture, mutilations were very much like the Nazis - Mengele, Bormann, Himmler, Goebels all rolled into one (apparently only a Hitler was missing).
I am convinced the planetary Dark Forces influenced the groups, some of them may have even been obsessed by one of the Lords of Materiality.
As years past, the group went out of control. Even the civilian leadership (what little there was of it), like the Rockefellers, could no longer control them.
They became a rogue operation within a rogue operation.
If a CIA director or even a President dared interfere in the cabal's affairs, they and their families were at risk.
No Democratic President was let in on the covernup.
Kennedy who tried to find out more may have been assassinated for that very reason. Carter and Clinton did not have a clue and were threatened when they asked any questions. GHW Bush Sr. was in on it, but when he suggested revealing the secret, he too was threatened.
The Church and the ETs
When the Vatican was informed by the US government of the alien menace, they were equally appalled.
They searched the Bible desperately for any indication of such beings. If the ETs were not angels or demons, what were they?
Could the divine trinity be applied to the ETs too?
The Father and the Holy Spirit seemed universal enough, but Jesus posed a real problem. Was Jesus just the Son of Man or also the Son of ET?
There was no indications that The ETs accepted such a human/divine Son of God (or even a God).
And they were an advance superior race!
The whole Christian belief system built around the 'only begotten Son of God' was at risk.
It was best to suppress all information regarding the ETs.
Recent statements from the Vatican indicate that they are preparing for the time when eventually the truth about ETs will be revealed. A priest (Monsignor Corrado Balducci) not directly associated with the top brass at the Vatican, has been authorized to state that "extraterrestrial encounters are not demonic, they are not due to psychological impairment, they are not a case of entity attachment, but these encounters deserve to be studied carefully".
He spoke about the extraterrestrial people as part of God's creation and that they are not angels nor are they devils.
Recently Fr. José Gabriel Funes S.J., the current director of the Vatican Observatory, organized a conference about the possibility and consequences of life existing in outer space.
He even suggested that there could be aliens who were superior to humans and not guilty of original sin (Whatever that means! I guess, he is saying that the aliens are not demonic like the fundamentalists believe).
Incidentally the SJ - the Society of Jesuits is supposed to control the Vatican's intelligence service.
 
Islam and the ETs
Luckily for us all, no Islamic country with the exception of Pakistan has nuclear weapons.
Pakistan has never had a stable government.
There was no point in the ETs approaching them.
However, I am sure that if Pakistan's nukes ever got into the wrong hands, the ETs will disable them before any harm is done.
Islam is very specific about the type of beings that exist in the universe.
According to Islam there only three kinds of beings - humans, angels and demons.
The ETs were not humans and they were definitely not angels - that leaves only one choice.
I am pretty sure the full disclosure of the existence of the ETs will result in the complete collapse of the Islamic religion.
Unfortunately, the fanatics among the Muslims will not give up without a fight.
This will mean violent clashes between the firm believers (in this three kind of beings theory) and those Muslims who will accept that the ETs are not demons, but superior and advanced beings.
Foreign Governments and ETs
The motives of The US government are fairly clear.
The presence of ETs, their technological superiority, the availability of limitless sources of energy were threats to US domination of the world as well its political, social, economic and religious structures.
But what about the other nuclear powers that were also approached by the ETs?
What were their motives for participating in the cover up?
These are not so clear, so we must speculate. The analyses below is speculation, some day soon we will find how much truth there is in it.
Britain
The British were convinced by the US government that the ETs were dangerous and not to be trusted. If the west ever lost their nuclear weapons, the ETs were sure to invade and take over the world. Britain being a developed economy had nothing to gain by revealing the existence of the ETs and their UFOs and much to lose.
Recent official statements from the British government indicate that while not admitting the ETs/UFOs exist, the British government considers them harmless and benign.
However, the British government as usual would like to defer to the US on whether or when to reveal their existence.
France
The French government does not like to defer to the US, but they also see the danger of the West losing dominance and the more populous countries of the East becoming world powers. France is heavily invested in nuclear energy and quite sure the fission plants are safe.
Also France is technically a Catholic country.
Perhaps the France would like to defer to the Vatican for the timing of revealing the ET phenomenon.
 
Russia
The Russia were the second country to be approached by the ETs.
However they were soon convinced by the US that the ETs would not only leave them defenseless (without nukes) but that the ETs posed a danger to the monopoly of power of the Communist party in Russia.
Once the people had free localized energy, they would be independent of any central control. More recently, after the fall of communism, the reason for the Russians silence is not that clear. Naturally like the US, they also did not like the idea of the Eastern countries becoming the dominant world powers in the near future.
 
China
The Chinese were also fearful of losing their nukes - their only protection against the USSR and US. They were also worried about losing the power monopoly that the centralized communist party enjoyed.
More recently, they have been having delusions of grandeur.
In a few decades they expect to overtake the US economy and become the dominant power with or without the ETs help. They do not relish the idea of sharing the world stage with the Indians who they consider an inferior race. It is best if the ETs and their technology were delayed or hidden for ever.
India
India has been late coming to the nuclear club.
So the contact with ETs has been very recent. India would benefit most amongst all countries by elimination of nukes, the revelation of the existence of the ETs and the development of new energy sources.
With cheap energy, India's millions of starving people would be dragged out of poverty in a single generation.
Also among all the religions, Hinduism would be least affected by the ET news, if anything many of its beliefs maybe vindicated.
However, though India is regional power, on the international stage, it is a timid country. If would defer to the US rather than upset the status quo.
Besides Indians are panicky people.
If you walk through the streets of Bombay and shout 'the sky is falling', people will run for their lives. That maybe another consideration.
Besides having their own reasons for participating in the cover up, there is reason to believe that leaders of foreign countries have also been threatened by the US Cabal, these include threats to the lives of the leaders as well as their families.
There are rumors that members of the families of foreign leaders have been abducted by the US staged fake aliens and frightened into silence.

Mode of disclosure in USA is very simple.

1.Never direct or firsthand in the name of witness protection

2. No documentary evidence (if there are any, they are classified and sealed 100 feet underground in places where nuclear contamination has occurred)

3. They are released after 70 years when the people known to have direct evidence are dead or demented

4. Government explanation is the only correct version and others are all speculations.

5. Encourage speculation

7. Whistle blowing (Snowden type) are discouraged, if that happens they are in their nineties and can be passed as fragmented memory or dementia.

9. Presidents (UFO scenario) and political leaders are kept in the dark by design.

Why Cover up of UFOS?

There may be many but I will speculate only one scenario.

1. Aliens were far superior in technology and intelligence.

2. They had medical problems to solve of their own.

3. They needed genetic material and live organs for testing.

4. There was memorandum of understanding after lengthy telepathic negotiations.

5. In exchange of information and materials, the aliens were allowed free access and alien abductions became a reality.

6. There was no compensation for returned abductees but amnesia or mentally blank picture or blurred encounter.

7. The film industry a beneficiary (books came later).

simple.

They are not accountable to any but law unto themselves.

This is frightening but is the truth of the matter.

Any country including Ceylon has a local mafiosi organization/s (may be several).

1) The Essassani
The Essassani are technically our reptilian, grey-human hybrid relatives. Back in the day, a species called the Greys came to Earth. According to reports, they had genetically mutated themselves to the point of not being able to reproduce anymore. They could only survive through cloning.
We agreed to share our genetics with them so that we could alter their course of history and future.  Most abduction experiences had to do with this genetic course-correction, and was very confusing for humans. We on some level agreed to this relationship.
Since then an entirely new breed of beings was created, which were already far more advanced than we, and were given a prepared planet for them to inhabit that has allowed them to advance, evolve and grow rapidly, without ever being as primitive as our own journey on Earth.
They are in a way our direct relatives, and are here to support us during our evolutionary path.  They assist us in staying the course of the most-preferred reality we would like to create, desirably one of peace and harmony.
The Essassani are indeed a benevolent and loving race. They have a close relationship to their higher-selves, are extremely playful, and love to reflect back our hunger to understand ourselves better.

2) The Yahyel (Aka The Shalanaya)
The Yahyel are a gorgeous and graceful species of hybrid beings. They are said to radiate very pure solar-golden energy, and are one of the closest interstellar relatives we have.
They will be the first race to make open-contact with us as a species in the upcoming future. They are about our height, well-framed and seem to possess the appearance of an angelic anime character, many of which look highly multi-cultural. They are remarkably beautiful, gentle, intelligent, heart-centered and considerate.
They have a very healthy relationship with their technology, and are here to help us develop and evolve. They too came from primitive times, and are far more advanced than us currently. It is said that many of our social networking platforms were given to the Earth with the help of their stream of consciousness.

3) Sirian Hybrids
These hyper-sapiens are highly evolved, and according to the records have had a lot of contact with us since the beginning.
They are said to be our Father Race, who came together to help create humans genetically. Many ancient prophecies and spiritual texts say extraterrestrials were involved in the creation of human beings.
The Sirius beings exist about 300 to 500-years into the future and are tens of thousands of years more advanced and evolved than our own species.
They specialize in technology, architecture, sustainable energy and sacred geometry. Also, the being depicted in the movie Avatar are said to be very similar in appearance to Sirians.
They are about our height, though a bit taller overall, slender and have really defined muscles. They have a warm bluish tone to their skin, warm oval eyes, long fingers with precision dexterity.

4) The Pleiadians
The Pleiadian Hypersapiens are tall, round-faced, wide-eyed with soft yet detailed features. They are beautiful beings who are almost exclusively described as having blonder hair (if they do have hair) and blue eyes.
It’s been said that many of us spent time on the Pleiades training and learning about life before coming to Earth, and many have said that’s where we are headed after Earth.
Their bodies function like finely-tuned delicate instruments which can pick up psychic signals streamed across the Universe. In this way if you work on psychically connecting with the Pleiadians, they can often be one of the most directly responsive & seemingly close by ETs we are in contact with.
The Pleiadians also have a diplomatic like-quality, as they are very involved with the Interstellar Alliance, supporting the development of seed races on other Planets and ensuring their progress of evolution for all.

5) Arcturians
The most ancient race of our entire Milky Way Galaxy, the Arcturian Hypersapiens are a highly evolved race of alien beings. They are profoundly aware, innovative and experienced.

In Buddhist cosmology, the heaven realms are blissful abodes whose present inhabitants (the devas) gained rebirth there through the power of their past meritorious actions. 

Like all beings still caught in samsara, however, these deities eventually succumb to aging, illness, and death, and must eventually take rebirth in other realms — pleasant or otherwise — according to the quality and strength of their past kamma. 

The devas are not always especially knowledgeable or spiritually mature — in fact many are quite intoxicated by their sensual indulgences — and none are considered worthy of veneration or worship.

 
Nevertheless, the devas and their happy realms stand as important reminders to us both of the happy benefits that ensue from the performance of skillful and meritorious deeds and, finally, of the ultimate shortcomings of sensuality.

The Thirty-one Planes of Existence

Scattered throughout the suttas are references to as many as thirty-one distinct "planes" or "realms" of existence into which beings can be reborn during their long wandering through samsara. These range from the extraordinarily grim and painful hell realms all the way up to the most exquisitely refined and blissful heaven realms. Existence in every realm is temporary; in Buddhist cosmology there is no eternal heaven or hell. Beings are born into a particular realm according to their past kamma. When they pass away, they take rebirth once again elsewhere according to the quality of their kamma: wholesome actions bring about a favorable rebirth, while unwholesome actions lead to an unfavorable one.
The realms of existence are customarily divided into three distinct "worlds" (loka), listed here in descending order of refinement:

    1. The Immaterial World (arupa-loka).
    Consists of four realms that are accessible to those who pass away while meditating in the formless jhanas.

    2. The Fine-Material World (rupa-loka).

These realms are accessible to those who have attained at least some level of jhana and who have thereby managed to (temporarily) suppress hatred and ill will. They are said to possess extremely refined bodies of pure light. The highest of these realms, the Pure Abodes, are accessible only to those who have attained to "non-returning," the third stage of Awakening. The Fine-Material World and the Immaterial World together constitute the "heavens" (sagga).

    3. The Sensuous World (kama-loka).
    Consists of eleven realms in which experience — both pleasurable and not — is dominated by the five senses. Seven of these realms are favorable destinations, and include our own human realm as well as several realms occupied by devas.
    The lowest realms are the four "bad" destinations, which include the animal and hell realms.

A realm of pure delight and gaiety.
Bodhisattas abide here prior to their final human birth.
This is where the bodhisatta Maitreya (Metteya), the next Buddha, is said to dwell.
(8) Yama devas (yama deva)
These devas live in the air, free of all difficulties.
(7) The Thirty-three Gods (tavatimsa deva)
Sakka, a devotee of the Buddha, presides over this realm.
Many devas dwelling here live in mansions in the air.
(6) Devas of the Four Great Kings (catumaharajika deva)
Home of the gandhabbas, the celestial musicians, and the yakkhas, tree spirits of varying degrees of ethical purity. The latter are analogous to the goblins, trolls, and fairies of Western fairy tales.


(5) Human beings (manussa loka)

Rebirth as a human being is extraordinarily rare.

It is also extraordinarily precious, as its unique balance of pleasure and pain facilitates the development of virtue and wisdom to the degree necessary to set one free from the entire cycle of rebirths.

The attainment of stream-entry (sotapatti) guarantees that all future rebirths will be in the human or higher realms.

The demons — "titans" — that dwell here are engaged in relentless conflict with each other.
(3) Hungry Shades/Ghosts (peta loka)
Ghosts and unhappy spirits wander hopelessly about this realm, searching in vain for sensual fulfillment.
(2) Animals (tiracchana yoni)
This realm includes all the non-human forms of life that are visible to us under ordinary circumstances: animals, insects, fish, birds, worms, etc.
(1) Hell (niraya)
These are realms of unimaginable suffering and anguish.
Should not be confused with the eternal hell found in other religious traditions, since one's time here is — as it is in every realm — temporary.

Existence in every realm is temporary; in Buddhist cosmology there is no eternal heaven or hell. Beings are born into a particular realm according to their past kamma. When they pass away, they take rebirth once again elsewhere according to the quality of their kamma: wholesome actions bring about a favorable rebirth, while unwholesome actions lead to an unfavorable one.
The realms of existence are customarily divided into three distinct "worlds" (loka), listed here in descending order of refinement:

    1. The Immaterial World (arupa-loka).
    Consists of four realms that are accessible to those who pass away while meditating in the formless jhanas.

    2. The Fine-Material World (rupa-loka).
    Consists of sixteen realms whose inhabitants (the devas) experience extremely refined degrees of mental pleasure. These realms are accessible to those who have attained at least some level of jhana and who have thereby managed to (temporarily) suppress hatred and ill will. They are said to possess extremely refined bodies of pure light. The highest of these realms, the Pure Abodes, are accessible only to those who have attained to "non-returning," the third stage of Awakening. The Fine-Material World and the Immaterial World together constitute the "heavens" (sagga).

    3. The Sensuous World (kama-loka).
    Consists of eleven realms in which experience — both pleasurable and not — is dominated by the five senses. Seven of these realms are favorable destinations, and include our own human realm as well as several realms occupied by devas.
    The lowest realms are the four "bad" destinations, which include the animal and hell realms.

III. The Sensuous World (kama-loka)

Happy Destinations (sugati)
(11) Devas Wielding Power over the Creation of Others (paranimmita-vasavatti deva)
These devas enjoy sense pleasures created by others for them.
Mara, the personification of delusion and desire, lives here.
(10) Devas Delighting in Creation (nimmanarati deva)
These devas delight in the sense objects of their own creation.
(9) Contented devas (tusita deva)
A realm of pure delight and gaiety.
Bodhisattas abide here prior to their final human birth.
This is where the bodhisatta Maitreya (Metteya), the next Buddha, is said to dwell.
(8) Yama devas (yama deva)
These devas live in the air, free of all difficulties.
(7) The Thirty-three Gods (tavatimsa deva)
Sakka, a devotee of the Buddha, presides over this realm.
Many devas dwelling here live in mansions in the air.
(6) Devas of the Four Great Kings (catumaharajika deva)
Home of the gandhabbas, the celestial musicians, and the yakkhas, tree spirits of varying degrees of ethical purity. The latter are analogous to the goblins, trolls, and fairies of Western fairy tales.


(5) Human beings (manussa loka)

Rebirth as a human being is extraordinarily rare.

It is also extraordinarily precious, as its unique balance of pleasure and pain facilitates the development of virtue and wisdom to the degree necessary to set one free from the entire cycle of rebirths.

The attainment of stream-entry (sotapatti) guarantees that all future rebirths will be in the human or higher realms.

(4) Asuras (asura)
The demons — "titans" — that dwell here are engaged in relentless conflict with each other.
(3) Hungry Shades/Ghosts (peta loka)
Ghosts and unhappy spirits wander hopelessly about this realm, searching in vain for sensual fulfillment.
(2) Animals (tiracchana yoni)
This realm includes all the non-human forms of life that are visible to us under ordinary circumstances: animals, insects, fish, birds, worms, etc.
(1) Hell (niraya)
These are realms of unimaginable suffering and anguish.
Should not be confused with the eternal hell found in other religious traditions, since one's time here is — as it is in every realm — temporary.


Heaven

In Buddhist cosmology, the heaven realms are blissful abodes whose present inhabitants (the devas) gained rebirth there through the power of their past meritorious actions. Like all beings still caught in samsara, however, these deities eventually succumb to aging, illness, and death, and must eventually take rebirth in other realms — pleasant or otherwise — according to the quality and strength of their past kamma. The devas are not always especially knowledgeable or spiritually mature — in fact many are quite intoxicated by their sensual indulgences — and none are considered worthy of veneration or worship.
Nevertheless, the devas and their happy realms stand as important reminders to us both of the happy benefits that ensue from the performance of skillful and meritorious deeds and, finally, of the ultimate shortcomings of sensuality.

In October, President Carter permitted the shah – despised by Iranians and the regime that replaced his – to enter the United States. Days later, Iranians climbed the embassy gates again, took the Americans there hostage and demanded the shah’s return, beginning a 444-day crisis.
There are no do-overs in history, but there are lessons.
The 1979 hostage crisis should have taught us the importance of proactively responding to obvious threats and removing vulnerable targets — a lesson that should be applied now if there are U.S. nuclear weapons based in Turkey.

After a faction within the Turkish military tried to overthrow the Turkish government last month, one of the many arrested for his alleged role in the attempted coup was a commanding officer at the Incirlik Air Base. That base — according to numerous media reports — is a major NATO installation hosting one of the largest stockpiles of nuclear weapons in Europe.
What if the Turkish base commander at Incirlik had ordered his troops surrounding the perimeter of the base to turn their guns on the U.S. soldiers that reportedly guard U.S. nuclear storage bunkers there?
What if anti-American Turkish protesters, believing the U.S. was behind the coup plot and that it was harboring the coup’s leader (ominously reminiscent of how Iranians felt about America and the shah 37 years ago) decided to march on Incirlik chanting anti-American and anti-Israeli slogans (as has actually happened) and taken over the base?
Leaving aside the coup, what if Islamic State were to attack Incirlik?

In March, the Pentagon reportedly ordered military families out of southern Turkey, primarily from Incirlik, due to terrorism-related security concerns.

While we’ve avoided disaster so far, we have ample evidence that the security of U.S. nuclear weapons stored in Turkey can change literally overnight.

Now fully aware of the dangers, the Obama administration should remove any remaining nuclear weapons from Turkey – and the next president should remove all U.S. nuclear weapons from Europe.
We are in for a long stretch of political uncertainty in Turkey, exacerbated by growing anti-Americanism.
Granted, as one American analyst has pointed out, any U.S. nuclear weapons stored in Turkey “would be defended by ferociously well-trained and well-equipped American troops.
Maintaining control of the weapons would be the top priority if seizure was ever threatened, with all of America’s military power put to the task.”

Well, if that’s the case being made to President Obama, he should ask:
Why would I or any American president take that risk?
We are in for a long stretch of political uncertainty in Turkey, exacerbated by growing anti-Americanism.
Any U.S. nuclear weapons stored there are more likely to complicate than to improve the domestic political currents in play. The U.S. will (and should) remain a strong ally and friend of Turkey, and Turkey will (and should) remain in NATO.
It is shared interests, not nuclear sharing, that will keep us together.
Nuclear deterrence does not require the U.S. to store nuclear bombs in Turkey, or elsewhere in Europe.
The U.S. has long-range “strategic” nuclear weapons to ward off hostile powers and guarantee the security of all NATO allies.
But since the end of the Cold War, most military leaders believe that our short-range “tactical” nuclear weapons based in Europe have virtually no utility, for the simple reason that no U.S. president is likely to use them.
Some may argue that we should not remove nuclear weapons from Turkey because we don’t want to signal lack of confidence in Turkey’s stability; or that we need tactical weapons throughout Europe because we need to bolster NATO members who are worried about Russia.
Now weigh those arguments against the fact that storing tactical nuclear weapons in Turkey and in other NATO nations comes with the increasing risk of vulnerability to an evolving and more deadly terrorist threat, or to domestic unrest. In the wake of an incident at a nuclear storage site — for which the U.S. would be held accountable and suffer long-term consequences with allies — it would be difficult to explain that vulnerable targets were left in place due to a perceived need to reassure our allies.
As was the case in 1979, the warning bells are ringing.
Steve Andreasen was the director for defense policy and arms control on the White House National Security Council staff from 1993 to 2001. He is a consultant to the Nuclear Threat Initiative in Washington, D.C., and teaches at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Following hypotheses of mine are outrageous but nevertheless needs probing.

I am not going to include them in my new book.
Human conspiracy is in their genes, and outlining them is an uphill task.
I am scrapping only the surface.
I do not intend to reveal all of them and waste rest of my life on a failed endeavor.
I have better things to do in my life.

Coming to my pondering of Russian actions.
1. Russia did not have the technology.
This may not be true, they were well ahead of America.

2. Russia did not have the money.
Probable but cannot be substantiated.

3. Russia was prudent not to waste their scared resources.
This is true in a communist but relatively poor country.

4.Russia did not want to sacrifice the life of their trained astronauts for an ego exercise.
This is my bone of contention.
They are more useful in defense strategies.

5. None of the above.
More likely scenario.

Now let me take the American attitude.
1. American public are generally stupid (mind you not all) and are mostly afflicted by an incurable ego problem.
This is true.

2. They want to be the first in scientific advances and pay or hijack (Germans after World War II) for personnel.
Similar to above ego mentality.

3. They had enough resources but wasted them on putative communist war.
True.

4. They had a powerful secret service and did not want politicians to take credit.
Yes.

5. JFK was assassinated to channel money (not for space program) to CIA projects.
Yes.

6. America never send any astronauts to moon (to save money for covert operations) but choreographed either by holography or actual photography on earth.
This is my belief even though there is no proof available.
I am human and have the freedom for skepticism.

7. America did not have a correct sense and directive with so many lobbies to contend with.
Really!

8.They had to satisfy Vatican.
Most likely overtly or covertly.

Most likely scenario.

Now my revelation hypothesis.

1. Russia and USA are toying the same line in their defense policy.

2. They do not want conflicts to throttle their own programs.

3. They are in contact with aliens and using their technology (without the knowledge of the public0.

4. Russia, America and Aliens already have an advanced interplanetary mission.

5. America (CIA) is using drug money for these clandestine black projects since the legislative Assemblies are very slow to authorize them of veto them.

Henry Steel Colonel Olcott

Colonel Henry Steel Olcott (2 August 1832 – 17 February 1907) was an American military officer, journalist, lawyer and the co-founder and first President of the Theosophical Society.
Olcott was the first well-known American of European ancestry to make a formal conversion to Buddhism. His subsequent actions as president of the Theosophical Society helped create a renaissance in the study of Buddhism. Olcott is considered a Buddhist modernist for his efforts in interpreting Buddhism through a Westernized lens.
Olcott was a major revivalist of Buddhism in Sri Lanka and he is still honored in Sri Lanka for these efforts. Olcott has been called by Sri Lankans "one of the heroes in the struggle of our independence and a pioneer of the present religious, national and cultural revival".

Theosophical Society
From 1874 on, Olcott's spiritual growth and development with Blavatsky and other spiritual leaders would lead to the founding of the Theosophical Society. In 1875, Olcott, Blavatsky, and others, notably William Quan Judge, formed the Theosophical Society in New York City, USA. Olcott financially supported the earliest years of the Theosophical Society and was acting President while Blavatsky served as the Society's Secretary.
In December 1878 they left New York in order to move the headquarters of the Society to India. They landed at Bombay on February 16, 1879. Olcott set out to experience the native country of his spiritual leader, the Buddha. The headquarters of the Society were established at Adyar, Chennai as the Theosophical Society Adyar, starting also the Adyar Library and Research Centre within the headquarters.
I forget the exact motives of Olcott and I believe his outlook was much broader but with resurgence of Buddhist revival in Ceylon, his original ideas metamorphosed to a single theme.
His broader inquiry stretched into to religion, philosophy and science, not spirituality alone.But his followers in Ceylon put fullstops to science and philosophy.

Looking for absolute truth
I never joined a club or secret society in my entire life.
Club mentality was an alien theme to me, for the simple reason of confining myself to a narrow segment of free inquiry closes all avenues for new emerging knowledge,especially science.
Having returned from united Kingdom with lot of new ideas, I was invited to a symposium organized by a spiritual organization. I grabbed the opportunity and said it should include all three disciplines, philosophy, religion and science (no politics by conviction).
I took the responsibility of organizing it but did not have a clue how to approach the philosophy theme.
Luckily, I knew Monte Gopallawa, mostly indirectly (my sisters batch) who had read philosophy in his undergraduate studies. He was the Governor of the Central Province and was easy to approach. Through his offices I managed an introduction to Professor

A.D.P Kalansuriya.
We decided to have a “short weekly discussion” in the University of Peradeniya and invited few guys and girls. In the first discussion we had about 10 and in one of the subsequent discussions, one guy (I did not know) in a national dress, who came from the Buddhist background, started arguing on a flimsy point slanted towards Buddhism, off the track of professors theme by many a mile.
Professor in his inimitable way, tried to put him on the track with very short doses of philosophy. This idiot went on in circles and after waiting awhile, annoyed to the brim, I blasted this guy and told him, we came to listen to philosophy not Buddhism (this idiot’s interpretation, not Buddha’s) and you better get out of this room or I will throw you out physically.
I got up from my seat and showed him, I meant what I said.
He with few of his followers left the room and there was one other guy (may be my very young brother in law) beside me left in the room.
Professor had a bright smile in his face and after a pause said these guys cannot understand a simple term in philosophy.
That is the problem I am faced with.
We continued to have the discussion as planned and in subsequent discussion I was the only guy left.

Prof ADP Kalansooriya
The above incident brought us together and he had few medical problems (he never sought any advice from me) that made our encounters more frequent.
He was probably the last true philosopher we had. His thesis in UK was accepted without a hitch, in early sixties, not in any way slanted to Buddhism.
I was lucky to have receive a free copy of his last book, related to language games in philosophy.
It was very heavy stuff in content and English terms, which I had to refer the dictionary to grasp his thoughts.
That was the only book in my life I read one chapter at a time (several times) and never proceeded to next chapter without getting hold of his dialectical and eclectically themes.
Listening to him over six to ten close door sessions made me well prepared.
One of his attempts was to get us out of the rigid often prejudiced views. He said philosophers are also trapped in this same dilemma.
He encouraged us to think “out of the box” and showed us the way out of a dogma.
I am very thankful to him and he is no more.
He sucumbed to a medical misadventure just like Monte Gopallawa, his only and the last student (he died before him).
Coming back to "Looking for absolute truth", I organized symposium and invited him for short introduction to philosophy in Sinhala.
I of course dished out the science theme and after a few introductory remarks made into "a question and short answers".
That was the last time I addressed a public lecture 15 years ago.
I try my level best to avoid any.
Simply because the general public want to be inside the box.
Getting them out is difficult philosophically.

This is about Americans.

Not all Americans are bad.

There are lot of good Americans.

What I am against are the American Scientists who conspire for the last 70 years.

It is time I should say good about Americans.

Unlike British Americans are fabulously rich and spend time and money to explore the unknown, including UFOs.

Whereas the British will hold onto their prejudices in their entire life.

Even though, yesteryear British scholars had revived and reviewed Buddhist scriptures (Francis Story and Rhys Davies) after the visit of Colonel Henry Steel Olcott to Ceylon, there is none in this country and UK now..

I believe he was sent here by the Church to discredit Dhamma (Buddhism) but he was enthralled and enlightened by studying the scriptures.

Thomas William Rhys Davids was born in England, at Colchester in Essex, the eldest son of a Congregational clergyman from Wales, who was affectionately referred to as the Bishop of Essex.
His mother, who died at the age of 37 following childbirth, had run the Sunday school at his father's church.

Thomas William Rhys Davids, FBA (12 May 1843 – 27 December 1922) was a British scholar of the Pāli language and founder of the Pali Text Society.

He took an active part in founding the British Academy and London School for Oriental Studies.

He studied for the bar and briefly practiced law, though he continued to publish articles about Sri Lankan inscriptions and translations, notably in Max Müller's (he was a French Scholar) monumental Sacred Books of the East.

From 1882 to 1904 Rhys Davids was Professor of Pali at the University of London, a post which carried no fixed salary other than lecture fees.

In 1905 he took up the Chair of Comparative Religion at the University of Manchester.
Rhys Davids attempted to promote Theravada Buddhism and Pāli scholarship in Britain.

He actively lobbied the government (in co-operation with the Asiatic Society of Great Britain) to expand funding for the study of Indian languages and literature, using numerous arguments over how this might strengthen the British hold on India. He gave "Historical Lectures" and wrote papers advancing a racial theory of a common "Aryan" ethnicity amongst the peoples of Britain, Sri Lanka, and the Buddha's own clan in ancient times. These were comparable to the racial theories of Max Müller, but were used to a different purpose.
Rhys Davids claimed that Britons had a natural, "racial" affinity with Buddhist doctrine.
This part of Rhys Davids' career is controversial.
His scholarly enterprise was terminated by a bogus investigation by the British.

British Conspiracy
He never renunciate his faith but promoted study of Buddhism. That was his downfall.

Rhys Davids' civil service career and his residence in Sri Lanka came to an abrupt end.

Personal differences with his superior, C. W. Twynham, caused a formal investigation, resulting a tribunal and Rhys Davids' dismissal for misconduct. A number of minor offences had been discovered, as well as grievances concerning fines improperly exacted both from Rhys Davids' subjects and his employees.

With his death study of Buddhism ended in Great Britain.

Unlike, the British, the American continue to study Buddhism up to this date.

Unlike in Britain, America there is considerable number of Americans who practice Buddhist Way of Life without enunciating their own faith (for political reasons).

Buddhism is thriving in America!

They have contributed a lot silently.

I have met few of them and they come here for meditation practices.

I was busy then but I directed them to the proper academics and mediation masters, with my connection in the University.

Unfortunately most of the erudite with knowledge in English are all gone and rare to find now.
