Pear OS- Do not TRY it.

Pear OS erased my Hard Disk with all the DATA including all Linux Iso Images. However, I have latest copies of all my books in a USB stick and no worries.
I do not intend to publish them until the War in Middle East is over.
It is CEYLON New Year mood even in AUSTRALIA.
I got a rugged Partition Table not in serial number which I cannot rembember. It is high time I get it in a Sequential Order.
Only problem is what 5 distributions to install.
Two of Debian Forky and GNOME.
REBORN OS.
Pearl OS
AV Linux
GNOPPIX
Neon User 6.6
BlueStar Linux
Endeavor OS
CachyOS
Except Cachy OS and Endeavor OS I have all the Iso images in USB sticks.

NO for Linux Mint
No for Pear OS
No to BigLinux
No for Elive, it is still Bookworm kernel.

Pear OS ARCH based distribution.
No live session but with an online installer option.
I am trying to install it now but very SLOW booting. Perhaps not having options for my NUC with many other Linux distributions already instslled.
I think it is MacOS.
It has several options without plymouth.
I sekected the UEFI option.
I am not sure what is the password for a Live Session.
I am going to leave it blank.
It is still struggling to read my Partition Table.
It looks like either Romanian or Chekoslovian based.
One has to hold Alt for dual boot with Windows and not with another Linux Distribution.
Like ZORIN OS asking for money contribution.
It is very painful compared to Pearl Linux.
I may give up now.
I cannot wait 30 minuts for it to read my Partition Table.
Give UP.
It RUINED my GRUB and Hard Disk.
I won't recommend it to a newbie.

Pearl Linux is fantastic

It is based on Debian 13 series.
The iso is 4.2GB.
It has its own PDE Desktop.
Has its own Package Manager supplemnted with Synaptic Package Manager.
It has Blender.
I have No hesitation to recommended it to a newbie.
It has a paid version, too.
One should Register with email for additional help.
I did not test its package manager.
Installing AbiWord currently.
Dedktop seems to be MATE but using Synaptic Package Manager, I got GNOME installed.
Had two of the same application is installed one perhaps sandboxed and othe on APT of Synaptic. Gave a Warning on APT but I ignored it.
File Managers were not visible on MATE but I installed Dophin and Nautilus.
I am forgetting the names.
Overall it is a good than the previous encounter with Pearl Linux.
I have PDE Desktop which looks like MaC Desktop.
I am currently updating it packges.
It is bit SLOW in response compared to GNOME of Debian GNOME.
I refuse to install a Linux Distribution that does not support GNOME.
Only exception is Neon User KDE 6.6.
By the way, I had to sacrifice BlueStar LINUX. No  space and CachyOS is GRUB is incompatible with other Linux distributions just like Omarchy OS.
GRUB file is neat and I habe 5 distributions and two of them are GNOME.
I have dropped Linux Mint but did not try Debian Mint also.
Icons for Applications are big and is comfortable for my failing eyes.
Inkscape and Scribus available.

THANK You to all Developer girls and boys.
What a distinction compared to Manjaro and Elementary OS.
I have not tested Pear OS which is not Live but installer Image.

By the way, I UPDATED Endless OS on my OLD ACER Laptop. It took over 48 hours to UPDATE 150 applications but running smoothly after the UPDATES.
It is New Year Eve in CEYLON and my resolve to Update my NUC was deliberate and January is the worst time for Updates.
AntiX I did not try since it is SystemD Free.
It has only Window Mangers and NO Desktops. One should use it on old computers to get the feel of Window Managers.
One should try MX Linux instead which is Debian 13 based now.
