What we get from India is not AIDS but Diseases
I forgot to mention the Coronavirus India donated us lavishly in March, 2020.
As a medical man, I have documented it here and in a book form.
It was the Indian businessmen who allowed it to spread in Garment Industries run by them in Ceylon. They were given adequate notice to close these units by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa but they did not listen but continued to operate and shifted the blame to President.
My grouse with President was that he gave instructions to shift some of the contacts to Teacher Training College located above our house and let it spread to Kandy and beyond.
It was that Navy Officer who was in contact with patients who was the source of other pockets.
However, he realized his blunder and subsequently listened to the doctors.
Our doctors did a wonderful job to contain and control it and WHO took it as a model.
President's military discipline should be commended but he lost his job to Cardinal and DJVP /JVP.
If not for the Coronavirus epidemic DJVP would have NEVER come to power.
My prediction is they would certainly loose next election due to Food, Security and Financial Crisis.
They are already in Panic Mode.
These guys who have not run even a "පෙට්ටි කඩයක්වත් දුවපු නැති මුන්ට" small boutique shop cannot run a country at large.

This was my standard saying in 1973 during my Internship and subsequently as a District Medical Officer in Undugoda, Kegalle.

Cholera imported from India through Jaffna was standard and I followed the WHO protocol and quarantined Undugoda Hospital for 3 weeks, one week more than the WHO requirement.
Idea behind was for me to be dismissed before Compulsory Service of 6 years so that I could go to UK.
My brother was already in UK.
Under JRJ this was the first enactment nullified summarily.
My first day in hospital was spent on cleaning the floor of diarrhoea ward where sick kids were succumbing in numbers.
Additionally we had encephalitis epidemic.

Still Malaria is imported from India.
I think the current cryptosporodiosis in America is also imported from India to AMERICA.
May be brought in by Indian sailors of a multinational ship.
I would end up with a standard yarn about Indians and their gambling habits.
An American was holidaying in India.
When he saw an Indian defalcating on a sideboard, he said this does not happen in America.
He said he could prove that it happens even in New York.
They settle for an amicable bet and returned to America armed with two binoculars.
From a rooftop they scanned the entire neighborhood.

This yarn came in to vogue when Indian High Commissioner was charged with ill treatment of a domestic aid of a lower caste.
Caste system is still rampant in India.
The American lost the bet.
The corollary here is never take a bet with an Indian.
He always WINS.
