MoccacinnoOS Installation

MoccaccinoOS is a Gentoo based desktop distribution with minimal utilities.

I tried EXT4 installation and currently trying to install with bcachefs (Copy on Write ) file system.

I am trying Gnome Dedktop which is about, 2.1GB Iso. My Guess is it going to fail again. Formatting the file system takes ages. I won't recommend it to a newbie in Linux.

Partitioning took 12 minutes.

283487 files in total for installation.

Took 10 minutes for Installation and as expected GRUB boot loader failed.

I think like btrfs file system it has redundancy file system for backup which I HATE.

WiFi configuration was smooth.

History of Ceylon and Tribes 

History of Ceylon does not end in 5000 years.

It probably extends up to 150,000 years.

A skeleton was found in our sea which was estimated to be 150,000 old.

Balangoda man was between 30 to 50,000 old. 

They were not cave men but a relatively advanced civilization.

Ibbankatuwa remains or tombs dating back to 700BCE shows where ashes of the dead were placed in pots. Muslims have destroyed these sites to destroy our heritage.

At least we have had caves and records going up to 8000 years when Kakusanda Buddha was supposed to have resided in CE LON.

We may have had several Prehistoric Tribes.

Buddha was born in Ceylon.

 

We have had all the 5 prerequisites.

These facts were destroyed by the British and Buddha's birth place was shifted to India.

But we have thousands of Stone Edits supporting Buddha was born in Ceylon which Paranavithana deliberately falsified to satisfy the Church and the British.

During the Gotama Buddha, there were at least 4 tribes.

1. Yaksha     Rugged and powerful

2. Naga        Tall with reptilian eyes

3. Raksha     Rugged and black

4. Deva or Manussa  only a limited clan

They were all humans with interbreeding but Yaksha were powerful and dominated. 

There were internecine conflicts.

Broad division was Sura and Asura.

 

Manussa or Amanussa.

Buddha clan interbred with Yaksha clans to bring harmony.

Buddha himself dealt with at least 4 conflicts.

There were 4 great kings and many other kings during the time of Buddha leading these tribes. Ceylon was much bigger and part of it went under water with enormous wealth.

Kandy Perahara is less than 100 years old and is a Tamil Festival.

Four powerful kings became gods with the destruction of our culture by the British. 

Paranavithana is the villain who kept British concocted history to this day.

History has to be rewritten with Stone Edits supporting, them.

We have over 20,000 Stone Edits.

In my analysis 50% of our blood comes from Yaksha.

Over the last 1700 of Indian Invasion and Tamil or Pandyan kings our history was rewritten by the Indians.

 

This Vijaya story is a "cock and bull" story planted on our history by Indians and Indians still persevere to maintain that cooked up story.

Jayaratne Pathiraarchchi has enormous quantity of Stone Edits to dispute. He is slowly dishing them out.

Simple Way to Choose a Linux Distribution

Perhaps this is my last post on Linux.

I would not write any on 2026, instead, I would choose 5 with different attributes that would coexist in my NUC.

I am still stuck at 4.

They are

1. Debian 

2. BlueStar Linux

3. Reborn OS

4. MX Linux 

CachyOS is the most elegant but it only coexists with Debian.

I have no Windows but to fool Windows snoopy guys I have GRUB entry without actually having Windows installed.

Do not listen to YouTube guys.

They are paid by Microsoft Guys.

Choosing a Distribution

1. For Games

2. Ordinary day to day use

Do a Internet Survey of 20 Linux Distributions

Short List 5

Download the Live  DVDs and Test them

install ONLY two and try them.

Do not try all 5 like me YOU bound to fail.

3. Special Use Case Scenario and Higj end Graphic Cards owners.

I cannot advice.

I am not a gamer.

I play only kids games now.

If you own an average Graphic Card there is no worry at all. Almost all Linux Distributions now configure the graphic card efficiently and do not tinker afterwards

4. Do not buy an expensive Mini Desktop computer if your workload is heavy. Instead buy a Mini Desktop depending on your budget. The advantage is one can uograde except RAM. RAM is the most important and they are in short supply due to panic buying.

5. Do not buy a second hand refurbished PC if your understanding on hardware is only average.

Give your specication to the vendors and request him that you would like to see the assembly in person.

Thereby, You learn a bit of hardwsre assembly.

I did with my first computer in early 1980s and my son got to know the tit bits

6. I am ambivalent with Laptops since I carry a few a USB sticks with Puppy Linux for work including persistece volume.

Biggest problem is the bulk.

The next problem is the battery.

The third is the graphics.

Basically, laptop is the pain in the arxxx.

Once I bought two Mini PCs I stopped using the Laptop. It is now used to store all the Linux Images. I stick a USB and copy an Image. Besides, it has all the older images. 

I left all my archived images in CEYLON and Ceylon is totally devasted. 

I have no intention of visiting to see the devastation.

I send money though, to CEYLON coffers and if I find NPP/JVP misappropriate them, I am going to withhold even that contribution.

Beautiful Mind

Let me list, a few of our emotions and then see how we can avoid feeling bad or confused.

This is based on a power point presentation to undergraduates in their Preliminary Course in English. 

 

Seeing students of different faith I avoided the Buddhist Terminology but in fact expanded on the four Wrong Directions which young one’s, including individuals of different religious faiths, political ideology, racial orientation and above all some teachers (ill conceived) with hidden agenda.

1. Fear

2. Anger

3. Hate

4. Aggression

5. Resentment

6. Envy

7. Rejection

8. Guilt

9. Pride

10. Boredom

11. Loneliness

12. Jealousy (Green eyed Monster)

13 Paranoia

 

Why not

1. Hope

2. Happiness

3. Love and

4. Self Control

5. Tolerance

These were the same emotions which went through young minds of our generation 60 years ago.

Most of them ended up with “Reactive Depression” not “Endogenous Depression” but there was no counseling of any kind at disposal.

I think in this modern age of Digital Obsession, there is more expressed “Emotional Intolerance”.
 

In fact, digital media like Facebook, to some extent YouTube thrive on this malady.
I think politicians from China to Russia to Middle East (Israel and Palestine included) to (importantly) USA base their strategies on hate anger and resentment.
Emotions like relationships have various shades and connections.
 

We can shape our emotions, the way we want them to be (for good as well as bad intentions).

How can we progress?

In a way according to Professor De Bono;

It is to have beautiful Mind or get rid of the wrong Directions and Intentions.

I did a survey on technical terms in psychology and found psychological terms easily outnumbered the technical terms in physics, mathematics and philosophy all put together.

The corollary of this is that Religious, Political and Racial Doctrines can thrive on these minor and major psychological maladies.

It is interesting that Buddha had crystallized the themes into four categories. 

During the talk on “Making a Choice in Life”;

Ajahn Brahm taught the four considerations when face with making a decision.

Not for selfish reason

Not with ill-will

Not out of stupidity

With no Fear.

This is the Buddha’s teaching on four “Agati”, namely,

Chanda-gati, Dosa-gati, Moha-gati, Bhaya-gati, or the four kinds of corruption.

Chanda-gati, corruption induced by desire, is deviation from the right path in pursuit of bribes or for the sake of those one loves.

Dosa-gati is taking the wrong path to spite those against whom one bears ill will, and

Moha-gati is aberration due to ignorance.

But perhaps the worst of the four is bhaya-gati, for not only does bhaya, fear, stifle and slowly destroy all sense of right and wrong, it so often lies at the root of the other three kinds of corruption.

Agati: the 4 'wrong Paths' are: the path of desire, the path of hate, the path of confusion, the path of fear bhaya. One who is freed from these evil impulses is no longer liable to take any wrong path.

Satara Agati -Four unprofitable directions

The term 'Agati' in Pali mean wrong course or going bad way.

There are four bad ways,

a) Chandā agati - the going a bad way through ill will

b) Dosā agati -the going a bad way through hate

c) Bhayā agati - the going a bad way through fear

d) Mohā agati - the going a bad way through ignorance or delusion

Professor A. D. P. Kalansuriya

This piece is dedication to Professor A. D. P. Kalansuriya who introduced me to "Language Games" long after I matured into C and dropped it at C++ PLUS.

Even, in Computer CODE, if one adds more and more Commands Modules, one is left with an endless loop with no Work Output. 

Google's Visual Code suffer the same fate. 

PYTHON or the Anaconda which I was never interested in has long twists of CODE is only GOOD for automation since, if one loop fails another loop tightly binds the PREY for later consummation loop or rather maintaining the automatic loop.

I am not sure how AI would solve this problem of many computers languages.

Would it build another language of it own?

Pali

Pali as a language has failed to Express Dhamma in a pristine form. 

This is what as an astute philosopher Professor A. D. P. Kalansuriya tried to do without opening a can of worms in his time, among the so called Buddhist monks who are entangled in a mess of Pali words.

My conviction of Pali is bit beyond the attempt of the professor. 

I want it to get rid of the jargon.

This is the very reason I did not want to be named a professor in my retirement (partly technical and partly I did not want to be tagged to University of Peradeniya, in my retirement to avoid visiting their Conventions by invitation. 

Now our ulma mater is devastated, one is not sure, when the next convention is going to be held).

With a post of professor one is bound by conventions if not convictions.

I want to be free of conventions. 

Free of convictions I can now state or lash out;

1. Pali is not the language of Buddha.

 

2. Pali is an adopted or "cooked up" language by Indians to distort Dhamma or the very Teachings of Buddha.

3. I was made to believe that to understand Dhamma one has to know Pali. 

I tried.

I collected (they are collecting dust in CEYLON ), all the dictionaries and glossaries, thinking Dhamma is an academic exercise.

I am proven WRONG.

4. If I did not meet Professior A. D. P. Kalansuriya, I would have been trapped or entangled.

5. The word entanglement is colossal.

It even embraces the meaning of python in computer coding. 

6. Dhamma is for unentanglement.

7. Pali is for entanglement and the moment I realized this, I dropped Pali knowing Buddha  only spoke in simppe language.

8. If Buddha was not born in CEYLON, he certainly embraced the original Sinhala language which Jayarathne Pathiraarchchi tries to bring out in style.

9. Buddhagosha and Mahanama were vested by Indian kings to destroy Sinhala language. 

By doing so destroy Dhamma.

10. Why did they translate Dhamma into Pali?

11. Why did they burn the original Sinhala Texts?

12. What happened at Abayagiri?

13. Pali is a creation by Indian Pandits to distort Dhamma.

Dhamma does not give "two hoots" to God or Maha Brahma.

14. Idea was to propagate gods of many kinds with that  also the castes of many kinds.

15. If Pali is not a creation, why there is no place on this Planet people speaking Pali?

16. Sinhala, letters originated first.

They are still present in CEYLON as Stone Edits or SelLipi.

17. Anura and Niragamikayan are trying to perpetuate this Indian mythology on present "Helayans" who are only a few that are left in this country.

18. We have to destroy this Indian propaganda.

Ranil Wickrasinghe and Milinda Moragoda have taken this contract.

19. Our history has to be rewritten.

Now is the time.

Help Jayarathna Pathiraarchchi.

When good things come out or try to resurface Marayan wakes up.

Marayans = Indians 

That is the simple equation.

20. Current natural catastrophe washed away all the hopes of Indians, Nigantayans and Niragamikayans.

21. Thanks to European guys who recorded our Stone Edits.

22. Down with Paranavithana C. B. E who was an agent of the Church of England who distorted our history.

23. Down with Raj Soma Deva who is an agent of L. T. T. E.

Triad of Anura, Soma Deva and Rump L. T. T. E. are the bane of this country, called Ceylon.

Unholy Trinity.

All originated from Vidyodaya University background to ascend to some  questionable CREDIBILITY.

It seems as all the Archaeologists are Bone Liars except only a few.

Wake up.

Jayaratne Pathiraarchchi is shaking up the foundation of credibility.

Lies cannot last long or have long legs.

They get invariably exposed.

Small steps are necessary.

Now is the time.

My Political Stance in the Global Village

I am going to be less active in the Global Village, in the coming year, 2026.

My positioning is based on the Teaching of Buddha. 

In other words, I am TRUE to Dhamma and would not waver to protect Dhamma from attack from within or outside.. 

 

In that sense, if Buddha was born in CEYLON (that is in fact the scientific truth) and British and Indian have together cooked up a story for political reasons, I am ready to SHAME, them at any forum.

My anti Indian stance is based on that.

I have nothing against an average Indian.

If CEYLONESE Tamils for sectarian reasons tore the line with Indians to propagate that myth, I am going to be at loggerhead with them.

 

I do not care, the guy is a politician, a monk a priest or any pseudo-social activist.

 

They have to provide me with facts not antics.

My support for Jayaratne Pathiraarchchi is based on the will to discover the TRUTH.

 

He is the only guy who had the courage to stand up to the monks with vested interests.

He deserves accolades.

 

Others who say yes to any imported opinion, I call them and I consider them Ceylonese ponnayas or souls without a backbone.

My global promotion on Linux would tail off and my drive to make its PC penetration of 10% has born fruit.

My future interest will be on Linux Distributions and up till now I have found 5 to support. 

Strangely, 3 of them are ARCH based which was a very late adoption by me.

 

I promote English as a link language of Ceylon and in a way I am grateful to the British. However, the cultural or heritage destruction they attempted in their colonial administration, I do not agree.

The destruction to our hill country by Tea plantation, importation of foreign labour and killing of our Elephants I deplore. Their plundering and destruction of Buddhist sites were colossal and Ceylonese deserve some form of reparation and compensation.

That should not be in the form of aids to a particular racial entity or religious sector.. Their attempt to divide and rule which itself is a deplorable political act and Norway and Canada (proxies of British hegemony) are currently doing that now.
