Crisis in Free Medical Services in Ceylon

I am one who worked in both Private and Public Service in Ceylon.
Additionally, during 1988/89 D.J.V.P. and R.A.W. initiated Beeshanaya or Terrorist Activity,

I saved many lives including kids, taking undue risks and open death threats by D.J.V.P.

Even though, admission is free to Government Hospitals, they lack resources and equipment to perform surgical procedures, sometimes even needles to stitch wounds.

Having seen these, I left Government Service never to join after completing the Compulsory Service.

I have now left the country and free to voice my opinion without any backlash.

This problem is acute now in Ceylon and lot of patients die due to lack of resources.

This includes our domestic aid who died recently

My belief is, she did not have money to buy the medicine prescribed to her to be bought from an outside pharmacy.

Additionally, the drugs coming from India are substandard

I never used Indian stuff all my life in Private Practice.

The recent arrest of a doctor in Ceylon should be taken into consideration behind this background,  the failure of the current government to provide basic needs.

May be due to debt crisis or direct IMF directives.
Their (IMF) aim is to KILL the Free medical Services by depleting them with resources.

This adds to the Brain Drain.

IMF wants the doctors not to stay put in Government Service.

I did my part and left Ceylon after the age of 70, mainly due to political reasons.

I did my part and these impotent guys in the government came into power after my retirement.

I thank God for that.
