He is distorting archeological facts at the behest of Modidi's instructions.

It was spearheaded by the Catholic Church in the past.
 
This all started somewhere around 1962.
 
It was named "Catholic Action", then.

There was a hidden rule that determined that nobody gets a job unless he or she was a Catholic.

This theme has come back to haunt us (Ceylon) again.
 
It was late L.H. Mettananda who brought forward the case for Buddhism in Ceylon. 

He was the Principle of Nalanda College, Dharmaraja College and Ananda College.
 
All these schools including Mahinda College in Galle were established by Sir Colonel Alcott, during the turn of the 20th century.
 
Ana Blastikova a Russian aristocratic lady also came into foray promoting Theosophy at about the same time.

I have not listened to L.H. Mettananda but as a young guy under 5 years I knew that somebody was making a huge impact on Ceylonese Buddhist Community.

I used to stay overnight at A.C.B.C. building in Fort and I used to have a good Rice Meal, whenever, I come to Colombo. 

Of course, I moved to more elegant Green Cabin (not The Indian Green Cafe), and stay over weekend and beyond (in Collpetty) for a hopper meal.
 
DhunTel Bath or Oiled Rice (not the Chinese fried rice which I HATE now), on banana leaves was top class delicacy with ice cream to top up.

Nothing to beat Masala and Dhal Wade at Green Cafe at Dehiwala.

He was the one who headed the Ceylonese Team in Burma (Myanmar) Buddhist Council (Symposium), in 1956.

BPS was established by two German Monks.
 
I was NOT fortunate enough to meet any of them in real life but the posthumous collection of books on Dhamma canonized there at BPS is a treasure trove. 

A living monument to their dedication to Dhamma.
 
Buddhism is about deep knowledge and is not about beliefs.
 
They were imprisoned in Ghova and that is where they started translating Pali to English.

Most Reverend Gnanathiloka is the elder monk who stayed in the forest reserve (I never visited it) of Uda Watta Kelle.

The location where BPS is currently situated was the dispensary where             Dr. Dharmasena practiced. 

He was my Family Doctor.
 
Do not misidentify him with the terrible Professor Dharmasena.

He donated his dispensary,  to the BPS for it's Library where "Satara Sathipattana" famous most Reverend Gnanapoinika Thera built an enormous collection of Buddhist Sutra Pitakayas.

His plan was to translate them to English.

Bhikku Bodhi of course was one I associated with but not very closely but he was crystal clear in his writing.

One can Google and order any book from BPS in Kandy.

He was a man of few words.
A real physicist.
If I have question, I pose him the question.
He selects me a book and say come back after reading this.
 
Which I did until I left Ceylon.
 
One of my dear friends who is a retired Bank Officer, does the book keeping of this institute. 

If I do not have a book I need, I request him to find one. 

He would do a research and find one for me, from any location in Ceylon, if it is available in Ceylon.
He is a dedicated guy.
If not found he would order a few copies to be printed.
Printing costs a lot and stocking books not read or moving is not commercially viable in the digital age.
As a banker he knows this well.

What one can do is to donate some money to print the tiles not available currently.

These early publications were called "Bodhi Leaves".

My father had a lovely collection of Buddhist Texts which I could not save (I was in UK when he died), including Astrology (which I hated).
 
They were vandalized (stolen) within 10 days of his demise.
 
I of course build a New Collection with new Editions.

I settled down to Dhammpada,  Satara Sathipattana and of course the Vissuddhimagga.
 
Later of course I added Brahmajala Sutta and Kalama Sutta.

Karaneeya Metta Sutta was my base.
 
I have translated it into English Verse and posted here for perusal.
 
No one would guess it is really coming from this Sutta.

I have made the English translation very simple.

That helped me in my Simple English.

But I loved books of most Reverend Narada Thera.
 
He was the one who formerly introduced me to Buddhism before I left to UK.

Buddhism with a Smile is a classic for Children.

He was one of my regular patients in Colombo General Hospital. 

One must say, I was fortunate enough to meet him in real life.
 
Then, Rev. Madhihe Pangnaseeha and Piyadassi Thera were veterans in Dhamma Deshana.

Reverend Rerukane Chandhawimsla had some simple Sinhala books on Buddhism.
They ought to be translated to English.
I did not know him at all.
I saw his dead body in Navaloka Hospital along with J.R.J.
 

I signed J.R.Js final blood report but for some unknown reason I did not see a single blood report on this Thera. He may have given special instructions not to do any unnecessary tests or prolong his life.

But I entered into Dhamma after the death of my mother.

I thought, I would make a book on Dhamma on her behalf, on her 3 months Dhana Ceremony.

That ended up in many books at Amazon Book Store not only in Buddhism but in Linux,too.

A Sri Lanka-born cardiologist, Dr Kumar Gunawardane, has been bestowed the most prestigious award - CONSULTANT EMERITUS by The Townville Hospital and Health Service Board.

The presentation was made by the Minister for Health, Queensland, Dr. Steven Miles at a glittering staff excellence award ceremony. This was attended by many local dignitaries including the state and federal parliamentarians and the Mayor of Townsville Cr Jenny Hill.

Dr Steven Miles also presented a floral bouquet to Mrs Shirani Gunawardane honouring her selfless contribution to her husband’s career.

This was near a Buddhist Girl's School.

I was taken there as a kid. As a kid I could feel that the doctors there were poorly trained. On my retirement, one of my Catholic friends wanted me to raise it's standards but I gave up after one week.

There main aim is to promote Christianity through Medical Practice.

They have NO belief in medicine they dispense.

It is very simple.

This story is bit complicated even though,  the three dogs were born in a single litter in Ceylon their masters were totally different which is normal for any dog. 

The reason being their past lives were altogether different in style. 

For the sake of simplicity Maha Brahma, the chief of all gods has put all of them in a Single Will and a Single Litter. 

Additionally, this story came to me as a dream with minor inconsistencies which were edited by me and Maha Brahma did not have any direct involvement. 

I derive satire by writing this book but Devas, especially Maha Brahma do not understand what is satire and what is humour in human terms.

They live in eternal bliss and satire and humour are no components or part of these Jhana states.      

 That is where, I made a indirect  connection with Maha Brahma. I take a few of my satire pieces and explain them to Maha Brahma and he has a hearty laugh and disappear in a flash. 

He is more interested in rebirth of beings in the universe and he has an enormous capacity to remember past births but not as good as our Buddha who can remember a lot.

I never would have got a chance to probe past births of our dogs, if not for Maha Brahma.               

 To my knowledge Buddha has not elaborated on dog stories not relevant to the Path. 

So I have the liberty to expand and become creative.

By reading these stories, I assure you that nobody would attain higher bliss but only earthly amusement. 

If you are a guy or girl onto the path or a pathfinder you should not read this book by your own conviction.

By the way, thanks to his permission, I could publish them in America on Amazon books.

Given time and lapses in my memory, I have forgotten many of the details and one can never remember the dreams in full but only as snippets, in spite of recording them in a piece of paper,  the very next morning. 

In that sense, the reader should  vary about the inconsistencies. 

For the sake of clarity, I may have done some involuntary editing in the scheme of things, like what the C.I.A top brass would do in his submissions to the White House, to make the story legible and cohesive.

I was also warned not to tell the Veterinary Surgeon in charge of the existence of this Godly Will.     

I was forewarned that these dog’s were sent here as a Research Protocol of Dementia in both Dogs and Humans and for Maha Brahma to keep the sole Copyright with Heavenly Intent. 

For this reason,the three dogs were by default made amnesic (The Amnesia Incognito) after 10 days of their birth.

3. The third dog has to be special.

He / she should have nano second memory since he / she in going to be in charge of the Dementia Research Protocol. He can be named either Amnesia Original or Tails (Total Amnesia in Living Soul)Dog. 

The idea is I need to keep the copyright of the project for myself.

 If the dog remembers my methodology it is a liability.

Mind you dog has wonderful memories, unlike humans.

I have never been to heaven and what is told here is only a hearsay and not a heresy. I had some connection with the heaven for a very short period of time when one of my dog friends ended up in heaven and that story for completeness sake is told here, as an addendum, when the current and the latest story is dealt with.

That particular dog is no more and has attainedNibbana by stroke of luck and his clever strategy.

He is extinguished in the way of Buddhist tradition.

My connection to heaven is through an email facility, which the Maha Brahma granted me while the dog who “Exited” was acting as the Maha Brahma’s Assistant. I still have this email connection. There was no email facility in heaven, at that time and with my Linux computer connection, I established a Server in Heaven to assist Maha Brahama who is on eternal holiday. My interests are not on Heaven but on Hell where I was told by our Paraya Dog that some manipulations of sentences are made by surreptitious mechanism created by Ceylonese Lawyers, regarding sentences meted out to our politicians, who have already left us for good. 

Suffice is to say, no politician has reached heaven from Ceylon. 

I have gone into depth, in that regard and I have written a solid software in Linux to screen all applications made from Ceylon and that act of vandalism has being aborted and Apaya Server is very well maintained. I am acting director of Apaya Server, until I kick the bucket from this existence.

I accepted this post since, Maha Brahma himself requested me to look into that problem before, he went on a long vacation. He could not take leave until, the problem in Apaya Server  was sorted out.     

The current agreement is, I will hold the Acting Capacity of Apaya Server until I exit from here and  I am only interested in meting out justice to our politicians who are ace manipulators of our current affairs. That post would fall vacant after my demise and a new guy would be elected at the discretion of Maha Braha himself. 

I have no intention leaving here, just yet. 

I have no interest in continuing in that post, since the Server and the Software I created would last aeons and aeons, since it is made out of Linux Code.      

I have already upgraded the kernel to Debian 13 series.

Let me deal with the heaven in general.

All the Gods have a good time when they are there but descend to lower realms the moment they exit. They know it very well and that is why they want us to give them life wire as merits when we dish out Dhana when one of our guys or girls do exit from the planet earth. I have no intention of letting lose, any of my merits left and I wish not come back to earth as a lowly animal.

I wish something better.

I wish to have a full exit, just like our Paraya Dog. 

But there is a caveat here.

Our dog Zimba is supposed to be in heaven and   I wish to see him at least once or twice because he was  such a good soul. I lost my “temper tantrums” thanks to his demeanor while he was with us.

That is my entry point to this book about current dogs.

It is said that all dogs go to heaven and very few humans go there by default. The dogs who go there also realize that when they exit, when the time comes is also very dicey. 

Nobody has any control our 

Rebirth Protocol which is automatic and instantaneous, not even Maha Brahma has any say. What Maha Brahma tries to do is to allocate the remaining merits (Kusal) or demerits (Akusal) in accordance with Cause and Effect Principle and nothing more.

It is not a laborious task but a boring task, Nevertheless, he enjoys the sequence of events and he lives longer than the other gods. In other words, he has more merits and he does not wish to extinguish his flame of good Kamma as the boss of all Gods.

This is where bit of rivalry happens in heaven but that is not the topic of this book.

He is only interested in Dementia in humans. There is currently, no Dementia in Gods, they do remember everything big or small. All what Maha Brahma (no vetting at all) does in heaven is monitored by other gods who wishes to take his place, when he exits. This has created some issues to Maha Brahma who wishes, some of his cohorts develop some form of Temporary Dementia so that he can enjoy his long and much welcome holiday without any snooping by other greedy gods.

He is considering some form genetic manipulations in a few of his aspiring God candidates without any malice. I have been working with children all my life except for a brief period in New Zealand where I had to deal with geriatric patients. For the first time, I saw lot of them with dementia and had developed some interest in preventing dementia which is not a problem for the victims but to their non-demented kith and kin.

It is a big pain, for the next of kins.

It is rare to be born as a human and do not waste that instance with mundane affairs.

That is where the “Exit” dog had put a stamp of approval of Buddha’s Teaching. This dog who was frequenting the Malwatta Temple in Kandy had heard some wise sermons in his time as a dog. Rest of the dogs including Pedigree dogs only realize their plight only when they have reached the mighty heaven.

Ceylon has become a Niragamika State or stateless, culture-less, history-less, custom-less, backbone-less (become rear state of India) and brainless guys in power.

It is a one party governance dominated by a party leader with bizarre policies. It is going ahead to become a country like China (in another 25 years). 

They want to be in power for 25 years.

We must put an end to this bizarre hegemony now and we should not wait for 5 years. 

We won't have anything left but fully fragmented country as wished by India and Tamil Diaspora.

Only thing they have promoted is alcohol industry.  

We know some of the leaders in JVP/NPP are punched drunk when they address the public. 

I think they want the electorate to be pinch drunk for 5 years. .

Who would like to live in a state like that?

At lease there are some elements mounting a protest and Sajith has become an impotent opposition leader.

We need to find a vibrant opposition leader.

Wimal Weera Wansa is the only guy with a vision and stamina to stand against these guys. I wish him well but he should be mindful and careful that these guys in NPP might try to assassinate him and try to put the blame on a rouge element from LTTE rump carders who are active under this Government.

People like me who has done the onus to the country when in service do not want to be active in politics, in twilight years. 

So leaving the country was the only option available.

I left this country to UK in 1979, moment the six year compulsory service was over. 

My children's grouse was why did I come back home while having a substantial job with permanent VISA qualification for UK.

I have addressed this issue here in two pieces (UK and New Zealand) and there is no need for me to expand. 

The bottom line is they all ill treat "Overseas Medical Guys". 

One can never be expected to work in a good university.

So I came back, and I worked for my ulma-mater with academic and research contributions.

This was forced on President Putin.

He only tried to be diplomatic and accepted the invitation without any precondition.

This was not a business meeting as President Trump expected.

He was the one who sent armament to Ukraine to fight Russia. 

This drug addict stupid guy Zelensky was trapped by the CIA. 

He was doing the bidding for Military Industrial Complex or popularly known as the Deep State.

He swallowed the bait wholesale and ruined Ukraine as a country.

That is the end result.

Russia would not give it back. 

No need for peace, then.

Of course, Norway shroud give the Nobel Prize to President Trump. It has no worth in substance.

I am glad I did not publish my book on Linux Essentials, an account of Easy OS under Puppy Linux is essential.

I am currently working on it but cannot get AbiWord installed.

I got Opera, Vivaldi, Chromium and Firefox installed.

Hope they would remain on next boot up.

I cannot get Google to OK my email.

It is not a worry. 

I got AbiWord working.

This is the only Linux distribution which uses the entire USB on boot UP.

Others use only the distribution size.

If one uses a 32GB USB the rest of the USB of no use, hence I do not have bootable Linux USBs.

I have their images in a NTFS partition and use it only when I need to boot.

I am going to use Easy OS on a 32GB USB.

It has three files integrated into one mega file.

 

1. initrd 

2. vmlinux 

3. kernel

 

All wrapped up in one single file called sfs file.

Each additional file is layered on top of the base sfs file and the new sfs file which is bigger is saved as a separate file.

One can start on the last file or can go back to the pristine base file.

It was bit of leaning curve if one makes a mistake one go back to base file build it up again, until one is fully satisfied with the final outcome.

 

Additionally this is the only Linux attribution which uses the entire USB Stick for the working session, so additional sfs files can be saves. Theoretically one has four sfs files in a 4GB USB, since it takes 1GB for single installation.

One can password protect or leave the system without a password. 

If there is no password do not take it away from your home. Then it is free for all. Because of this reason Google and Gmail cannot be used as a service. However, one can use to visit the Internet, if one has a Ethernet or Wireless connection.

 

I am back to my Puppy Linux days.

Currently Remastering the Working session into sfs file.

It is a bit of a relearning. 

 

In Puppy Linux, SFS files, which stand for Squash File System files, are essentially read-only packages that contain applications and sometimes parts of the operating system itself. 

They are used to easily install and manage software, particularly larger applications or those that are not frequently used, without cluttering the main system files or requiring a full system re-installation. 

Read-only file system 

SFS files are compressed and packaged into a read-only filesystem, meaning the content within them cannot be directly modified. 

Layered loading
Puppy Linux uses a layered file system approach. 

When an SFS file is loaded, its contents are effectively layered on top of the main system, making them accessible to the user. 
Ease of installation and removal:
SFS files can be easily loaded and unloaded using tools like "SFS Load" or the "Boot Manager," making it simple to add or remove applications. 
Space and RAM management:
Using SFS files helps keep the main system save file (pup_save) smaller, and allows for better control over RAM usage, especially on lower-powered systems. 

Specific versions
Some SFS files are designed for specific Puppy Linux versions, so it's important to ensure compatibility before loading them. 
 

Examples
Large applications like LibreOffice, development environments (GCC), and even parts of the core Puppy Linux system can be packaged as SFS files.

I am still waiting for MX Linux New Version on Debian 13 series.

 I Finally Decided to Keep a copy of Debian 12 in my NUC

To begin with the letters on installation is big enough and comfortable especially when I key in the Passwords. 

Pick the SWAP automatically and installation bit on the slow side.

Several reasons.

1. Debian has dropped few of my favorite applications.

One is Stacer.

2. Number two I discovered today. 

I installed Vivaldi browser and Opera  browser using gDebi graphic installer and they seem to not to work on Debian 13.

But when I reinstalled Debian 13, what it did was amazing.

It went into terminal mode and found the gDebi package suitable for its needs.

3. I had discarded old iso images but fortunately LinuxTracker still keep a copy. 

Well I keep those copies for a while.

This is why I always have two copies of Debian in my NUC. 

It is still writing the image on a USB and I have only a few USBs with me to keep them as recovery images.

4. Debian 13 does not want to live with Debian 12 in the same hard disk Conflict of Interests and repository problems may be.

Had I keep an old copy of 12 Debian in my system it would  have been different.

By the way, Debian 13 is superb and running faster than the 12 series.
