Final Selection of Three Dogs is Complete

Final Selection of Three Dogs is complete

This story is bit complicated even though,  the three dogs were born in a single litter in Ceylon their masters were totally different which is normal for any dog.

The reason being their past lives were altogether different in style.

For the sake of simplicity Maha Brahma, the chief of all gods has put all of them in a Single Will and a Single Litter.

Additionally, this story came to me as a dream with minor inconsistencies which were edited by me and Maha Brahma did not have any direct involvement.

I derive satire by writing this book but Devas, especially Maha Brahma do not understand what is satire and what is humour in human terms.

They live in eternal bliss and satire and humour are no components or part of these Jhana states.

That is where, I made a indirect  connection with Maha Brahma. I take a few of my satire pieces and explain them to Maha Brahma and he has a hearty laugh and disappear in a flash.

He is more interested in rebirth of beings in the universe and he has an enormous capacity to remember past births but not as good as our Buddha who can remember a lot.

I never would have got a chance to probe past births of our dogs, if not for Maha Brahma.

To my knowledge Buddha has not elaborated on dog stories not relevant to the Path.

So I have the liberty to expand and become creative.

By reading these stories, I assure you that nobody would attain higher bliss but only earthly amusement.

If you are a guy or girl onto the path or a pathfinder you should not read this book by your own conviction.

By the way, thanks to his permission, I could publish them in America on Amazon books.

Given time and lapses in my memory, I have forgotten many of the details and one can never remember the dreams in full but only as snippets, in spite of recording them in a piece of paper,  the very next morning.

In that sense, the reader should  vary about the inconsistencies.

For the sake of clarity, I may have done some involuntary editing in the scheme of things, like what the C.I.A top brass would do in his submissions to the White House, to make the story legible and cohesive.

By the way, the current White House has lot of nasty dogs.

Maha Brahma in his own wisdom has produced three drops of heavenly water, one for each dog to be given within 10 days of the birth. The10 days being, the expiry date of the Heavenly Water on planet earth which may vary from galaxy to galaxy.

You know water evaporates given the correct physical conditions, just like my memory.

I was assigned this work with conditions similar to the C.I.A style and it had to be done very surreptitiously, so that the American Dog Food (A.D.F) companies do not get even a sniff.

These companies have no connection to what is told here.

Those drops one each were administered to the dogs without the prior knowledge of the prospective owner, before the adoption. Had this information was available first hand to the prospective owners, they would guess that something amiss and would not have adopted them.

The scrutiny of dogs before adoption is very severe and harsh only a few become, real time pedigree dogs.

I was also warned not to tell the Veterinary Surgeon in charge of the existence of this Godly Will.

I was forewarned that these dog’s were sent here as a Research Protocol of Dementia in both Dogs and Humans and for Maha Brahma to keep the sole Copyright with Heavenly Intent.

For this reason, the three dogs were by default made amnesic (The Amnesia Incognito) after 10 days of their birth.

This has nothing to do with Linux distribution Tails (Total Amnesia Incognito Live System) development which was a simple coincidence.

Public Advertisement for Suitable Dogs

Public Advertisement for Suitable Dogs

This for a Dementia Research protocol, both for humans and dogs.

I need to screen three dogs, for this study.

If you have a dog who fits the bill you may apply.

No reimbursement by default.

1. The CDC Dog who is in charge of the research money.

Protocol of how the money should be distributed is under discussion.

Already a Ceylonese stray dog has volunteered for this post.

2. The second dog is named as Heavenly Dog and any man or women should with extra dogs in their litters well trained by them, of course, can hire the specimen for the entire period of the research.

No reimbursement by default.

3. The third dog has to be special.

He / she should have nano second memory since he / she in going to be in charge of the Dementia Research Protocol. He can be named either Amnesia Original or Tails (Total Amnesia in Living Soul)Dog.

The idea is I need to keep the copyright of the project for myself.

If the dog remembers my methodology it is a liability.

Mind you dog has wonderful memories, unlike humans.

Sex of the dog is immaterial.

The above was an advertisement, I posted three years ago.

I got lot of applications but did not bother to screen them.

Unfortunately, a few of them have already died due to negligence and the owners have left us for good.

It is a cardinal rule one should not give a dog to a senior citizen who is at the end of the life tether.

To Hell or Heaven

To Hell or Heaven

I have never been to heaven and what is told here is only a hearsay and not a heresy. I had some connection with the heaven for a very short period of time when one of my dog friends ended up in heaven and that story for completeness sake is told here, as an addendum, when the current and the latest story is dealt with.

That particular dog is no more and has attainedNibbana by stroke of luck and his clever strategy.

He is extinguished in the way of Buddhist tradition.

My connection to heaven is through an email facility, which the Maha Brahma granted me while the dog who “Exited” was acting as the Maha Brahma’s Assistant. I still have this email connection. There was no email facility in heaven, at that time and with my Linux computer connection, I established a Server in Heaven to assist Maha Brahama who is on eternal holiday. My interests are not on Heaven but on Hell where I was told by our Paraya Dog that some manipulations of sentences are made by surreptitious mechanism created by Ceylonese Lawyers, regarding sentences meted out to our politicians, who have already left us for good.

Suffice is to say, no politician has reached heaven from Ceylon.

I have gone into depth, in that regard and I have written a solid software in Linux to screen all applications made from Ceylon and that act of vandalism has being aborted and Apaya Server is very well maintained. I am acting director of Apaya Server, until I kick the bucket from this existence.

I accepted this post since, Maha Brahma himself requested me to look into that problem before, he went on a long vacation. He could not take leave until, the problem in Apaya Server  was sorted out.

The current agreement is, I will hold the Acting Capacity of Apaya Server until I exit from here and  I am only interested in meting out justice to our politicians who are ace manipulators of our current affairs. That post would fall vacant after my demise and a new guy would be elected at the discretion of Maha Braha himself.

I have no intention leaving here, just yet.

I have no interest in continuing in that post, since the Server and the Software I created would last aeons and aeons, since it is made out of Linux Code.

I have already upgraded the kernel to Debian 13 series.

Let me deal with the heaven in general.

All the Gods have a good time when they are there but descend to lower realms the moment they exit. They know it very well and that is why they want us to give them life wire as merits when we dish out Dhana when one of our guys or girls do exit from the planet earth. I have no intention of letting lose, any of my merits left and I wish not come back to earth as a lowly animal.

I wish something better.

I wish to have a full exit, just like our Paraya Dog.

But there is a caveat here.

Our dog Zimba is supposed to be in heaven and   I wish to see him at least once or twice because he was  such a good soul. I lost my “temper tantrums” thanks to his demeanor while he was with us.

That is my entry point to this book about current dogs.

It is said that all dogs go to heaven and very few humans go there by default. The dogs who go there also realize that when they exit, when the time comes is also very dicey.

Nobody has any control our

Rebirth Protocol which is automatic and instantaneous, not even Maha Brahma has any say. What Maha Brahma tries to do is to allocate the remaining merits (Kusal) or demerits (Akusal) in accordance with Cause and Effect Principle and nothing more.

It is not a laborious task but a boring task, Nevertheless, he enjoys the sequence of events and he lives longer than the other gods. In other words, he has more merits and he does not wish to extinguish his flame of good Kamma as the boss of all Gods.

This is where bit of rivalry happens in heaven but that is not the topic of this book.

He is only interested in Dementia in humans. There is currently, no Dementia in Gods, they do remember everything big or small. All what Maha Brahma (no vetting at all) does in heaven is monitored by other gods who wishes to take his place, when he exits. This has created some issues to Maha Brahma who wishes, some of his cohorts develop some form of Temporary Dementia so that he can enjoy his long and much welcome holiday without any snooping by other greedy gods.

He is considering some form genetic manipulations in a few of his aspiring God candidates without any malice. I have been working with children all my life except for a brief period in New Zealand where I had to deal with geriatric patients. For the first time, I saw lot of them with dementia and had developed some interest in preventing dementia which is not a problem for the victims but to their non-demented kith and kin.

It is a big pain, for the next of kins.

I have make some reference to Dhammapada here and it is relevant.

It is rare to be born as a human and do not waste that instance with mundane affairs.

That is where the “Exit” dog had put a stamp of approval of Buddha’s Teaching. This dog who was frequenting the Malwatta Temple in Kandy had heard some wise sermons in his time as a dog. Rest of the dogs including Pedigree dogs only realize their plight only when they have reached the mighty heaven.

A Short Note to Sepala

A Short Note to Sepala

At least he has disowned his commitment to NPP/JVP which should be appreciated.

I disowned JVP long before they came into power.

I also knew they were very good at lying.

The electorate was taken to a ride.

Ceylon has become a Niragamika State or stateless, culture-less, history-less, custom-less, backbone-less (become rear state of India) and brainless guys in power.

It is a one party governance dominated by a party leader with bizarre policies. It is going ahead to become a country like China (in another 25 years).

They want to be in power for 25 years.

We must put an end to this bizarre hegemony now and we should not wait for 5 years.

We won't have anything left but fully fragmented country as wished by India and Tamil Diaspora.

Only thing they have promoted is alcohol industry.

We know some of the leaders in JVP/NPP are punched drunk when they address the public.

I think they want the electorate to be pinch drunk for 5 years. .

Who would like to live in a state like that?

At lease there are some elements mounting a protest and Sajith has become an impotent opposition leader.

We need to find a vibrant opposition leader.

Wimal Weera Wansa is the only guy with a vision and stamina to stand against these guys. I wish him well but he should be mindful and careful that these guys in NPP might try to assassinate him and try to put the blame on a rouge element from LTTE rump carders who are active under this Government.

People like me who has done the onus to the country when in service do not want to be active in politics, in twilight years.

So leaving the country was the only option available.

I left this country to UK in 1979, moment the six year compulsory service was over.

My children's grouse was why did I come back home while having a substantial job with permanent VISA qualification for UK.

I have addressed this issue here in two pieces (UK and New Zealand) and there is no need for me to expand.

The bottom line is they all ill treat "Overseas Medical Guys".

One can never be expected to work in a good university.

So I came back, and I worked for my ulma-mater with academic and research contributions.

There is is nothing left do.

I am not willing to contribute to a One Party State who are hell bent on destroying Buddhist background culture at the behest of Tamil Diaspora.

It is very obvious NPP got money from Tamil Diaspora.

They are all out to destroy CEYLON and divide the country into pieces based on ethnic and secular religious entity.

The real danger was that the voter did not see it coming.

In other words "Voter were Hoodwinked".

It is time to educate them and make them proactive. Waiting for five years is too, long.

If the CIA could mobilize and could overthrow Gotabaya Rajapaksa with the help of JVP carders it is time for the reversal of that sordid project.

Trump's and Putin's Meeting in Alaska

Trump's and Putin's Meeting in Alaska

For me this meeting was a "no brainer"  of a meeting.

This was forced on President Putin.

He only tried to be diplomatic and accepted the invitation without any precondition.

This was not a business meeting as President Trump expected.

In actual fact President Trump was the one who created this problem.

He was the one who sent armament to Ukraine to fight Russia.

This drug addict stupid guy Zelensky was trapped by the CIA.

He was doing the bidding for Military Industrial Complex or popularly known as the Deep State.

He swallowed the bait wholesale and ruined Ukraine as a country.

That is the end result.

Russia would not give it back.

No need for peace, then.

Of course, Norway shroud give the Nobel Prize to President Trump. It has no worth in substance.

Easy OS-7.0 is Pretty Good

I am glad I did not publish my book on Linux Essentials, an account of Easy OS under Puppy Linux is essential.
Easy OS-7.0 is Pretty Good
I am currently working on it but cannot get AbiWord installed.
I got Opera, Vivaldi, Chromium and Firefox installed.
Hope they would remain on next boot up.
I cannot get Google to OK my email.
It is not a worry.
I got AbiWord working.
This is the only Linux distribution which uses the entire USB on boot UP.
Others use only the distribution size.
If one uses a 32GB USB the rest of the USB of no use, hence I do not have bootable Linux USBs.
I have their images in a NTFS partition and use it only when I need to boot.
I am going to use Easy OS on a 32GB USB.
Big THANK YOU.

It has three files integrated into one mega file.

1. initrd
2. vmlinux
3. kernel

All wrapped up in one single file called sfs file.
Each additional file is layered on top of the base sfs file and the new sfs file which is bigger is saved as a separate file.
One can start on the last file or can go back to the pristine base file.
It was bit of leaning curve if one makes a mistake one go back to base file build it up again, until one is fully satisfied with the final outcome.

Additionally this is the only Linux attribution which uses the entire USB Stick for the working session, so additional sfs files can be saves. Theoretically one has four sfs files in a 4GB USB, since it takes 1GB for single installation.
One can password protect or leave the system without a password.
If there is no password do not take it away from your home. Then it is free for all. Because of this reason Google and Gmail cannot be used as a service. However, one can use to visit the Internet, if one has a Ethernet or Wireless connection.

I am back to my Puppy Linux days.
Currently Remastering the Working session into sfs file.
It is a bit of a relearning.

In Puppy Linux, SFS files, which stand for Squash File System files, are essentially read-only packages that contain applications and sometimes parts of the operating system itself.
They are used to easily install and manage software, particularly larger applications or those that are not frequently used, without cluttering the main system files or requiring a full system re-installation.

Read-only file system
SFS files are compressed and packaged into a read-only filesystem, meaning the content within them cannot be directly modified.

Layered loading
Puppy Linux uses a layered file system approach.
When an SFS file is loaded, its contents are effectively layered on top of the main system, making them accessible to the user.
Ease of installation and removal:
SFS files can be easily loaded and unloaded using tools like "SFS Load" or the "Boot Manager," making it simple to add or remove applications.
Space and RAM management:
Using SFS files helps keep the main system save file (pup_save) smaller, and allows for better control over RAM usage, especially on lower-powered systems.

Specific versions
Some SFS files are designed for specific Puppy Linux versions, so it's important to ensure compatibility before loading them.

Examples
Large applications like LibreOffice, development environments (GCC), and even parts of the core Puppy Linux system can be packaged as SFS files.

Why and how to use SFS ?

What are SFS files for?
2fs files?
pupsave files?

EasyOS is an experimental Linux distribution, known for its unique approach to containers and focus on security and ease of use.
It's designed to be lightweight, running primarily from RAM and capable of being easily installed and run from a USB drive.
EasyOS builds upon technologies pioneered by Puppy Linux, aiming for a secure and maintainable system.

Experimental and Unique
EasyOS is an ongoing project with the goal of rethinking Linux distribution design, incorporating new ideas and technologies.

Containerization
It features a custom container technology called Easy Containers, allowing applications or the entire desktop to run in isolated environments.

Lightweight and Portable
EasyOS is designed to be lightweight and can be run entirely from a USB drive with persistent storage, making it easy to carry and use on different machines.

Security Focus
The distribution emphasizes security, with features like running primarily in RAM, which minimizes the risk of persistent data storage on hard drives.

User-Friendly
Despite its experimental nature, EasyOS aims for ease of use with graphical tools for managing containers, desktop settings, and network configurations.

Rollback/Forward
It includes a rollback-and-forward function, allowing users to revert to previous states of the system and containers.

SFS Mega-packages

EasyOS uses SFS mega-packages, which bundle multiple packages into a single file for easier management

I Finally Decided to Keep a Copy of Debian 12 in my NUC

I Finally Decided to Keep a copy of Debian 12 in my NUC

To begin with the letters on installation is big enough and comfortable especially when I key in the Passwords.

Pick the SWAP automatically and installation bit on the slow side.

Several reasons.

1. Debian has dropped few of my favorite applications.

One is Stacer.

2. Number two I discovered today.

I installed Vivaldi browser and Opera  browser using gDebi graphic installer and they seem to not to work on Debian 13.

But when I reinstalled Debian 13, what it did was amazing.

It went into terminal mode and found the gDebi package suitable for its needs.

3. I had discarded old iso images but fortunately LinuxTracker still keep a copy.

Well I keep those copies for a while.

This is why I always have two copies of Debian in my NUC.

It is still writing the image on a USB and I have only a few USBs with me to keep them as recovery images.

4. Debian 13 does not want to live with Debian 12 in the same hard disk Conflict of Interests and repository problems may be.

Had I keep an old copy of 12 Debian in my system it would  have been different.

By the way, Debian 13 is superb and running faster than the 12 series.

GNOME OS

It looks like Gnome OS is ready for Install but it takes over the entire hard disk.

I do not have an external disk to try how the GRUB Loader works.

I hope a guy or girl use it on an external disk and report it here under comments below.

I am trying to install Abiword on a Live Session and it did succeed after three attempt of password checking .

High priority for Security is a done thing in Linux.

I want it to be installed in an Ext4 partition, just like what I did with MX Linux.

I do not have an extra external device to try it.

I hope a guy who visit this poet make a comment under this post.

GNOME OS

GNOME OS is an experimental, immutable Linux distribution that ships the latest in-development GNOME desktop, core applications and stack. It serves as a reference for developers and testers. It is designed around the modern systemd and GNU-based userland built from the Freedesktop SDK. Initially, GNOME OS used a library and set of utilities called OSTree to deploy the root filesystem and manage updates, but later migrated to "systemd-sysupdate" which offers enhanced immutability, auto-updating, adaptability, factory reset, uniformity and other modernised security properties. GNOME OS can be loaded as a live image in Boxes, VirtualBox, QEMU and other virtualisation software, but it can also be installed on a standard x86_64 hardware. The distribution does not support traditional package management; however, additional software applications can be installed via the Flatpak utility which is supported out of the box.

MX Linux-Update

MX Linux-Update

Reproduction

Aug 11, 2025

MXLinux 25 has plenty in store to please all types of users.

MXLinux 25 is on the horizon, and the developers have several tricks up their sleeves.

The first of those tricks is defaulting to Wayland for KDE's Plasma desktop. Given the stability of the Wayland/Plasma combo, this should come as no surprise. MXLinux will still include X11 sessions (to be used as a fallback), and the Xfce version has the experimental Wayland session disabled. As far as Fluxbox, it does not (and probably never will) support Wayland.

There is one big surprise, however. Previously, MXLinux shipped with both systemd and SysVinit on the same ISO (allowing the user to select which init system they want during installation). With MXLinux 25, the developers will be releasing two separate ISO images: one for systemd and one for SysVinit. What you get will depend on your choice of desktop environment.

If you go the Xfce, Fluxbox, or Plasma route, you get systemd. However, you also have the option of choosing SysVinit if you opt for Xfce or Fluxbox. This is done for maximum compatibility for each desktop environment. That's a big change for a distribution that previously claimed to be "mostly systemd-free."

MXLinux 25 is also adding basic Secure Boot support to its installer, but it's limited to standard releases that use Debian’s signed kernels and 64-bit UEFI systems.

Finally, because Debian is dropping 32-bit support, MXLinux is following suit.

You can read more details in the MXLinux 25 official announcement.

Btrfs File System Sucks

I installed Debian Big Stick and for a change I changed my Ext4 files to Btrfs.
In my first boot itself it got corrupted.
I was running about 22 Window Managers and i3 tried to write a script in live mode.
I said Yes and it did not log out.
I got a warning saying saying D-Bus problem but I ignored.
I did not do anything than mounting Window Managers.
Do not use or test Window Managers that cannot log out.
This is the first time I had this problem.
My other 3 Debian instances booted OK.
I installed Debian 13 Cinnamon and it did not let me instal even AbiWord.
I mounted on root but even then, it did not let me use Synaptic Package Manager.
I am reinstalling Debian Big Stick as a copy, this time on graphic mode.
It has 3075 files and on Test mode I had 3043 files.
I may have lost few important files and that may have caused the failure.
I am not sure.
Well it is safer Install in safer graphic mode and it is faster.
Big Stick is in binaries and that may be the reason for faster throughput.

I am trying all Window Managers on Debian "Trixie"

1. Matchbox does not

2. Openbox does

3. Gnome Openbox does not

4. Blackbox
Supports
Awesome
Fluxbox
IceWM
IceMW Experimental
IceWM Lifht

5. Fluxbox
OK

6. IceWM
OK

7. Enlightenment
Needs some boot time configuration but has improved a lot.
It was known for fancy Window Animations
One has to PAY for Elive.
Not a bad idea.

8. Awesome is OK.

9. i3
 Please do not use it.
Wants to write a script to configure it.
It is probably meant for laptops.
No for PC and NUC.
No log out.
Ctr+Alt plus Enter
Need to restart the computer.

10. Sway yes but no actions or log out

11. Kodi yes

12. JWM or Joe's WM is OK but no applications.

13. X11 is in reality XFCE Desktop

14. I think one rogue Window Manager most likely i3
It messed up my Operating System with a script.
Please do not use it.

I am going to Reinstall Linux Mint Debian Version for completeness of my investigations. It is a cinnamon desktop with proprietary software.
Debian Cinnamon (Live Image0 is no better, one cannot install new software.

It thought it was some failure of built-in Graphic of NUC.
It is really due to software failure or lack of firmware.
What annoys me is lack of logout options and me have reboot my NUC.

File Managers in Linux

File Managers in Linux

There are over 20 file mangers in Linux.

1. Nautilus is my favorite

Gnome was my usual File manger.

2. Dolphin comes second which is very neat.

3. Mid night commander was an old flame.

4. Krusader was again an old flame.

5. Gnome Commander rarely use. I used to be a KDE Guy.

Gnome was a later development.

6. Caja everybody has forgotten is file manager of MATE

7. Nemo of cinnamon is pretty good.

8. I do not recommend PC Man File manger that comes from Taiwan.

Installing Debian On Text Mode

This done on Debian "Trixie" installed using Expert or Text Mode.

I selected all the Desktops and to my amazement it has Open Box as a compliment.

It is Window Manager and not a usual Desktop.

I have tried many Window mangers out of about 20 on Debian 12 and only IceWarm worked well and now even Open Box, too with "Trixe".

Debian Junior Installation which is 4.2GB uses IceWarm, thank you again and I would boot it using a USB. Its GRUB configuration was bad on a single partition. I installed MX Linux old kernel and it works fine on a single partition of 16.8GB.

It was a swap partition earlier.

There is no use of swap in this session and I have only one swap partition left for safety.

It does not consume lot of memory.

It uses both cores with only 25% of Core uses.

Uses 2GB memory out of 7.9GB.

By the way I am only using Firefox.

Network 2.5kb/sec.

Disk usage from 0 to 600kb/sec intermittently.

Window manger unlike a desktop is very cool on my NUC without a fan.

 Thank YOU Debian.

Thank to Just A guy for giving me a boost.

I will listen to his presentation on Open Box later and Thank You for revising so soon.

Yes, having seen a YouTube presentation by a clever guy (Mr. Drew) from USA, I decided to revisit my Text Editor days with Vi and Linux Text books by the side of me.

Partioning with ?fsck (I do not have the books, they are in Ceylon) was the most difficult with only a 2GB drive.
Nevertheless, that experience came good today. YouTube presentation are very fast and old guy like need time to digest especially the dielrcts. I HATE Indian Guys explaining things in Linux and Computers
This guy was very SWEET and I wish him long life for many more presentation on regular basis. He came out of the two year Debian hibernation ( rather development of Debian 13).
For a change I used btrfs file system which has redundecies which I hate and slows the system. I gather it is good tool for TimeShift which I never bother.
Debian upgrade on almost daily basis and I work on my NUC with 2Cores and no problems at all.
I am thinking of buying a 1 terabyte SATA if available in Australia.
Then I can have at 10 distributions running (finding 10 for my liking is an uphill task) in my NUC with 2Cores.
By the way, for all the desktops one has to download 3043 files. Usually with 2 desktops it is about 2200 files.
Debian Big Stick is in binaries and very fast on Graphic Install.
It is true with Text Install, I believe.
I counted there are 26 steps for installation and some steps have several sub steps.

I user to do that with Ethernet connected and it was easy even with BSD install.
I was slow to pick up Wireless configuration.
Only Ubuntu and Emmabantus did that those days and Debian could not, those days.
Debian had come a long way and for the first time I configured Wireless Network on Text Mode install. It take at least 180 seconds to pick the closest (It is fixed in the Garage) signal with so many Wireless Network around including for Printers.
It is a new Ball Game.
I am enjoying these trivial harassments.
Writing books is the most boring.
I lost 6 of the latest copies of my books.
I work on AbiWord and the file is never over one MB and I have at least 100 copies for a single book.
The six 600 odd files have come down to 20 with some having odf and odt format.
I am going to test LibreOffice 25.2.

By the way Linux kernel I selected was 6.12.38 + and not 6.17. +.
It allowed for me to select the old kernel 12 which I declined.
With no fan my NUC does not get Heated Up on Text Install. There is natural time for it to cool from the previously installed file.
It has no graphic card but it is integrated to the motherboard and heating up is a real probability.
I was bit scarred when I installed SuSe Gamer. I erased it within 24 hours.
By the way for the umpteenth time RebornOS failed to boot after I installed Debian. It has to be installed last and I do not like it's Boot Menu.
Debian Boot Menu is simple and elegant.
Installation is yet 55%.
I can read almost every file out of about ? 250,000 files that it installs.

Debian Big stick

This not my idea but copied from AI.

I am currently installing Debian on a 16GB USB stick.

I do not know how much RAM it needs, in the system it is tested.

Debian "Big Stick" is a term used within the Debian community to refer to a large USB stick or other removable media used for installing or running Debian. It's a way to have a portable Debian system, either for installation or as a live system for testing or emergencies.
Here's a more detailed explanation:

Installation Media:

Debian can be installed from a USB stick, making it a convenient way to install the operating system on multiple computers without needing optical media.

Live System:
A "Big Stick" can also be used to create a live Debian system, allowing you to boot and use Debian directly from the USB drive without installing it on the computer's hard drive. This is useful for testing, troubleshooting, or accessing a familiar environment on different machines.

Portable Environment:
A "Big Stick" provides a portable Debian environment that can be taken anywhere and used on various computers.
Familiarity and Convenience:
Using a "Big Stick" allows users to have a consistent Debian experience across different machines, which can be particularly useful for developers or users who prefer Debian's stability and reliability.

Revisiting Reborn

YES, I revisited Reborn OS.
Many reasons.
It is very flexible.
Both online and offline installation is possible.
I was not fond of online installation in CEYLON but having come to Australia that radically changed.
I just installed Plasma on top of Reborn Gnome.
It is smooth and beautiful.
Gnome is light weight very suitable for online installation.
Thereafter one can install Plasma.
In addition I tried Pantheon utilities but no independent desktop.
I should try Cosmic Desktop.
Yes I got Cosmic Desktop.
Overall I prefer RebornOS to BlueStar.
Everything is difficult in BlueStar OS including installing AbiWord.
Web search says one could install by a terminal but it start a root in terminal no action even to kill or killal command.
I may ditch it to Manjaro Linux.

Am I gone fully Trixie Debian?

NO, No.
I am with bookworm for a while.
I have MX Linux in one /root partition.
It has three desktops.
MX Linux
Gnome Base
KDE full.

Now everyone is going for huge disks, they forget to have a working system one does not need bulk.
I am one who believe in "Small is Beautiful.
I just saw a Debian instead fir a 16GB Stick.
Amazing I started with 512MB USB stick with Puppy Linux.
For Practical reasons Puppy Linux is almost dead. I have 40 odd Puppy Linux images in my archive.

Marathon Linux Upgrading

I was up till 3AM.
Not due to my fault.
ARCH distribution, namely BlueStar Linux erased One and Only DATA /home partition I had.
It went like this.
To begin with it did not configure the Wireless Network on Live Session.
It only installs the base system.
Unlike Reborn OS which I like the most, which one can install online or offline.

BlueStar the most beautiful and application packed distribution is rigid to the core.

Every line of instruction or code is remembered and one cannot undo.
That is what happened.
Having allocated the partition for install-ion, it wanted me to give me EFI partition for boot.
I accidentally allocated the data partition as EFI which was actually Ext4.
I inadvertently had left it for formatting (forgot to undo).

Having realized the mistake I activated EFI and pressed the button OK.

Unlike those days, I read every line (most of the ARCH coding I cannot understand) and having realized that I made a big blunder, I cancelled the installation.
I generally, just let installation go on. uninterrupted.
But in this occasion I cancelled it and installed Manjaro KDE.

By the way, I wanted two KDE desktops and BlueStar is KDE.
Blue Star did not mess up with the GRUB but it is in black and grey colour and I cannot read the menu at boot time.

To add to the problem I am colour blind for blue and it is getting bad.

Once Manjaro got the GRUB file in colourful plymouth. I installed Debian 13 with only the Gnome Desktop.
Then, went to sleep
Woke up after 7 hours and a bit and I am now installing second instance of Debian 13 with Gnome, Plasma, Cinnamon and MATE.
No thank YOU to XFCE, which I begin to hate.

Most important thing before winding off.

I did not fiddle with my Partition Table.

I changed, one of the two SWAP partitions to a Ext 4 and installed Debian Junior, the kid's Operating System, in one  /root partition.
It has 4.2GB capacity and the partition had 18GB.

It runs on IceWarm Window Manager as the desktop, on boot up.
It has lot of kids games which I love.

No Synaptic Package Manager and I may have to learn how to install using Terminal again.
I want only AbiWord and Brave Browser.
That is one a later day.

What happened to my five books?
Latest copies were erased but old copies were saved in two 32GB USB sticks with entire Document Folder/s named 1 to 10.

Nothing really lost but now I have a clutter free /home folder.

NTFS partition has most of the latest images including Reborn OS.
Reborn OS has a minor glitch with GRUB or I am resting it for a while.
Unfortunately, Manjaro is not booting and I had this problem some time ago with Manjaro.
It is a very beautiful distribution.
I lost a few Debian packages to install Opera and Vivaldi browsers but quickly restore them from respective web sites.
All in all it is marathon Linux install and I am just preparing Debian Junior on a USB stick for demonstration and if necessary Single Install. It's GRUB is dicey.
By the way, this was posted with BlueStar Linux running.
Thank YOU BlueStar Linux developers.

Gnome Debi, the Package installer

Gnome Debi, the Package installer
GDebi is a Debian Graphic installer.
It is already in the Debian System
Just question, Gdebi in the normal launcher, it launches itself.
One should have the package already downloded from the respective home sites.
Brave browser does not.
I do not bother to work in a terminal and make mistakes.
1. Opera is there in downloads
2. Vivaldi an excellent browser is there in your download folder
3. Ulancher
4. I tried OnlyOffice, Yes I got it installed in a few minutes.
I suppose i do not need anymore now.
