Digital Obsession
I had a brief visit to Singapore.
Trained clinician (even doctors are digital slaves now) I observe people.
Singaporean children were very nice and many a times they offered me their (unlike our kids) seats, which I accepted politely BUT I found young Singaporeans were glued to their cellphone screens.
They were nibbling with their nails until they break away.
No eye contact and friendly smiles.
Although, all sales girls and salesmen never displayed their cellphones.
Yesterday, I went to a computer shop in Kandy to report the faulty computer transaction my friend had made for his daughter in the university.
The guy was on the phone (to avoid listening to fault reporting) and I told loudly that if this guy is like this we should return the faulty computer and asked for full refund.
Come home, I called my friend that he should not have bought a defunct organization's (HP) product and go for ASUS.
