Biblioklepts or Book Thief

I had bibliomania but I was never a biblioklept.

I collected over 4000 books and majority of them are based on Linux from Redhat 7, to Suse Linux to Debian.

Only today I found the correct name for book thief as biblioklept.

There were guys in my class who were biblioklepts. One guy stole a book which I burrowed from the British Council Library in Kandy.
I had to pay a fine.
Since then I never took books borrowed from Libraries to school. I stop sharing my books. There was a UNO published book with me. A guy from Colombo University borrowed this book who ended up as a professor. After repeated requests including going to his residence I could not collect it.
Suffice is to say he died of Gall Bladder cancer. When he was showing signs of serious illness, I told to seek medical advice. Thick headed he did not listen.

Since, then I stopped volunteering help unless requested. Now I pretend not to be a doc for the past 25 years.

I do not know the name for a guy who catches a book thief.
I became one and I report them to the British Council Library in Kandy.
They are then black listed.
Thid library is no more.

Kenneth J. Rhodes is the one who helped to catch the book bandit. This book bandit I refuse to give publicity by naming him collected over 23,000 books.

I am pretty sure he did not have a book called "book detective" in that collection.

There is no proper name for one who catches a biblioklept.
The nearest name is book detective.

I know of professors who steal books. They do not return the book to the library from where they borrowed the books from.

I just ask the librarian and he or she gives me the correct list of professors who abscond.

They cannot escape even after death since those names are in permanent record unless the library is permanently closed.

University Libraries do not close.

My advice for those professors is to return them before they kick the bucket.

I am a scientist and once I comphend  a particular concept I move on and I have no need for the book.
I donate the book.
I have donated all my medical books to the Medical Library. One day, I went to the same library to refer to two particular books I donated.
They were not there to my surprise.
They were discontinued from the library collection, since nobody had borrowed them after my donation.
I stopped donating books to the Libraries.
That was the reason for me collecting over 4000 books.

One reason for keeping them is for future reference.

Other reason is to help me gather new topics for my future books.

Majority of my books are in English.
I cannot find a guy or girl with sufficient English knowledge to donate them.

Finally I started burning them.
Termites was the reason.

Now I believe in digital books.
