My gut estimate is that this Planet would sees its extinction in a Single Nuclear Episode when a big bully with mental derangement and a big mouth, lacking diplomatic skills, use Mafia type of bullying methods to force his opposition client.

IRAN SAGA is a case in point.

START Treaty is about to expire and this bully guy has allowed it to expire without a formal New Arrangement. However, Russia has extended it unilaterally for one year and this guy holds office for another 3 years.

 

With his mental derangement deteriorating, nobody knows what happens within the next two years with Military Industrial Complex with Digital inputs from Silicon Valley run by neocolonialists are holding the strings.

The bottom line is each side does not trust the other side.

Russia has 700 launchers and 1550 nuclear arsenal which is verified. 

China has 600 warheads but I believe they are building launchers in space in low orbit.

Communication satellites or Star-Links have had to lower their orbits due to Chinese bullying. 

China wants parity with USA and that is about 3000 missiles.

5 missiles is enough to finish the world and I  think North Korea has only 3 at the moment.

Next War will be fought in space is my guesstimate.

But the red herring is not CUBA but North Korea would preempt, if existentially challenged.

The strategy of regime change in IRAN would backfire and is the most foolish strategy Israel is pursuing. Unfortunately, UK is behind this ploy since British Hate Russians for no valid reason.

The bottom line is that USA have many enemies and any one of them can take USA to task. B.R.I.C.S. is going to be the antidote to American hegemony, with British the paper tiger growling in the dark.
