Lucid Interval
Theoretically Lucid Interval is the moment when a departing individual sees Flash Light of the Next Life. This moment is brief and if one sees a bright next life the departure from this life is not traumatic but smooth.
There is no hindering to the new beginning.
But the problem is when one sees a very bad opening on the other side. These are the very guys and girls who latch onto the ventilator and not let go.
Close with one of my own experience in New Zealand. This guy had nasty cancer which was missed by three consultants over a period of six months. The moment I saw him I knew this guy is desperately Ill and may suffering from a serious underlying illness.
Within half an hour with an X-ray I confirmed the diagnosis. I gently broke the bad news and said he can see me at anytime he needs and made arrangements for him to go home and to attend to his last rights. He was 45 and had grandchildren.
He was a seaman and he lived for another six months.
The day he died I made him a Buddhist for just a moment.
I told him to hold my hand and relax.
I am going to make you a Buddhist covert, I told him. Just concentrate and take the fear away from your mind. You can go into the next life effortlessly.
That is going to be pretty nice.
My internal conviction was making him believe in Buddhism itself was enough for him to have a smooth transition.
In a moment he let go my hand and he was gone.
I instantly felt he was in a good place.
I did not want to know where.
That is his Samsara and I have no control.
This is why I wish not possess, the ability see neither past not present.
I want to live in this presentation moment.
It is called "Moment Meditation" and this phrase is my invention.
