Monkeys in the parliament

Yes we have monkeys in our parliament.

They have no mandate to sell our real Hanuman species to China to cover our mounting debts.

Real monkeys have done nothing wrong to deserve such a fate.

I agree with Chamuditha that we must send   all our current members of the parliament to China for incarceration for stealing the coffers and the central bank, (that includes the Cabraael clan).

However, I do not want to include all the old parliamentarians in my list since a few of them like M.D.Banda, Wanninayake, T.B.Illangaratne and our own Dudley Senanayake (including their permanent secretaries) were true politicians.

C.P. De Silva was the worst amongst them overtaking Mendis family of the UNP by many a mile.

Regarding our real monkeys (I am no expert  on monkeys) we probably have two species.

Like elephants the temple monkeys are a threatened species.

The common monkeys have lost their habitat due to deforestation and they tend to migrate to human dwellings during off seasons when food is scarce.

They have become aggressive lately and I believe ill treatment of them by humans (using fire crackers and poisons by Temple of the Tooth authorities) have exacerbated the current and recurrent problem.

A humane and a Buddhist approach to this problem and giving the monkeys a little chance and a safe corridor like for elephants is mandatory.

Chinese will EAT our monkeys in less than a year considering their population explosion.

Never trust a Chinaman is my moto!
