Harry Potter and Mind the Matter and Space Travel

Harry Potter and Mind the Matter

I need to make some reference to Harry Potter series of films to begin with.

Creative and Imaginative but not Inspiring.

What we have to do is to inspire children and creativity comes in stages.

I never read any of these fictional books being a man of science

Started as pediatrician but ended up as a geriatrician in later life, bringing Fear and Phobias to kid's mind is no good at all  and may cause depression in children who have domestic disharmony..

I strongly oppose killing opposing imaginative creatures and witches

I do not want to be born like any of those imaginative beings.

I sometime I think the author of these books in a previous life form was born as a demon to relive them in this life.

I do not mind she living with these miseries in this life but exposing them to young kids is pathological

I have no objection adults reading them and become killers themselves in war of some form.

We are one gravity beings with somewhat limited capacity.
We cannot live on the moon with less gravity than on the earth.
We cannot live on Mars with more than one gravity.

No gravity is anathema to all human physiology.

I do not see that it is difficult to land on Mars but forming colonies there is a another kettle of fish.
We need to design new form of transport which alien beings possess.

Aliens are no gods but advanced humanoids

The space vehicles are most likely driven by radiation obtained from elements above 112, may be element 115.

Elements above 110 are possible in some galaxies.

Now coming to Mind itself.
I have two books on mind one simple and one advanced at Amazon Book Store.
What follows here is a brief introduction.
1. Mind is the best vehicle to travel the Universe.
2. Mind is a mystery.
3. Some meditation techniques can achieve momentary state of  escape from the brain.
However, the mind's attachment to brain is very strong and this escape mode is like an illusion.
This is one reason I oppose any form of meditation.

Live this life in wakeful state
.
Be mindful every moment of life.
Be happy.

4. According to Buddhism there are 31 types of celestial beings who live in almost eternal bliss.

5. They have achieved them through vigorous form of meditation and become strongly bonded to these live forms and they believe that state is/are of eternity.
That is a form of delusion worse than living as a human being
with all its discomforts and limitations.

6. All are temporary states of bliss.

7. That brings me to "The Uncertainty Principle".

8. That is the entry point to Dhamma.

I leave it at that point but "Somanassa Chitta' without attachment is the base to real bliss.

There are 3 other components.
Metta
Karuna
Upekka

The hidden objective was to keep a copy of 10 precepts for my own reference.

The Ten Precepts
Panatipata veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami
1. I undertake the precept to refrain from destroying living creatures.
Adinnadana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

2. I undertake the precept to refrain from taking that which is not given.
Abrahma cariya veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

3. I undertake the precept to refrain from sexual activity.
Musavada veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

4. I undertake the precept to refrain from incorrect speech.
Suramerayamajja pamadatthana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

5. I undertake the precept to refrain from intoxicating drinks and drugs which lead to carelessness.
Vikalabhojana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

6. I undertake the precept to refrain from eating at the forbidden time (i.e., after noon).
Nacca-gita-vadita-visuka-dassana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

7. I undertake the precept to refrain from dancing, singing, music, going to see entertainments.
Mala-gandha-vilepana-dharana-mandana-vibhusanatthana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

8. I undertake the precept to refrain from wearing garlands, using perfumes, and beautifying the body with cosmetics.
Uccasayana-mahasayana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami

9. I undertake the precept to refrain from lying on a high or luxurious sleeping place.
Jatarupa-rajata-patiggahana-veramani-sikkha padam samadiyami

10. I undertake the precept to refrain from accepting gold and silver (money).

Evolution and Corruption of Buddhism

This is a chapter in my book "Business Enterprise Meditation"

I did some  academic work and this book comes after "Vegetarian Saga" and "Linux Essential".
These two books are down to earth, democratic and more useful to a lay person. Both are base on Dhamma should be dished out free and Vegetarianism is good for this planet earth and its survival.

Evolution and Corruption of Buddhism

Before, coming to nuts and bolts of Dhamma, let me state few historical facts, some related to geography and some to language.

Word of Buddha reached China 700 years after Parinibbhana and was memorized in Sanskrit.
It reached Burma and Thailand 1000 or more years later, probably by sea route and was memorized in Pali,

Nepal or the Magada State is landlocked and Buddhism did not reach Tibet until 1200 years or more.

One should assume that all these countries had some form of a belief system and were not conducive, if not antagonistic to imported or foreign ideas.
China is a good example.

Things were recorded in Matale, Aluvihara in Ceylon 1700 years later, after the passing away of Buddha.

My point here is, with passing away of time and cultural influence and errors in memory chain, nothing called Pure Dhamma existed but colossal literature, that include Dhammapada, which gives an insight, to the Teaching of Buddha.

What excited me was that the discussion on the Beauty of the Mind and its Behaviour.
Every volitional action is related to the Mind and many years of me studying  Medicine did not prepare me to understand the Mysterious Nature of Mind.

Prudently, I postponed digging into Dhamma in my young years.

I bought a huge dictionary of Buddhism and it had more than 10 pages on the word Dhamma.

From the very beginning, I knew, most of  the English and French translators got it wrong somewhere down the line, having not studied Pali in depth.

However, I have veneration for the German erudite who translated Pali into English and German.
Not only that they initiated the opening of the  Buddhist Publication Society, in Kandy, Ceylon.

The Tibetan approach, I never liked and trying to become a Modern Buddha with the glamour of TV screens is an alien concept
After all, I hate China for subduing  Dalai Lama and invading Tibet for no reason other than economic and expanding its Silk Road Initiative.

I think Coronavirus was the befitting curse that befell on China
for decades to come and its Silk Road dream of economic strangle will peter out, in real terms and in real time.

I hate Mao Zedong and Carl Marx for destroying thousands of years of Chinese Culture.
In that case,  President Putin is much wiser, who sticks to Orthodox Church.

The long preamble is essential and many Mahayana and Hinayana traditions are a utter waste.

Swindling by Default

This was a dream where a guy who is a Ceylonese crook in Colombo who organized a Grand Auction type of episode and sells contracts big and small on open bid.

The swindle occur before the auction.

The bidder has to keep a big security which is refundable only if he/she secures the deal.

In reality there are no deals.
He scoops and vanishes
This episode the guy falls from high rising building.
I was not sure he was pushed or he jumped.
I woke up.

Now that I am away from City of Kandy.
I would relate some facts about Original Doctors of Kandy.

I had gone to all of them and all of them are gone.

1. CDL

2. Rajendra (not Tamil) - Samadara Dispensary

3. Dr. Nihal Karunatatne

4. Dr. Nadesan

5. ? Dr. Katawala

6. There was another one near Kandy Peradeniya road.
He was the Secretary of Health (after retirement).

7. Another guy of no significance

8. Another bogus skin guy

9. There is another guy who had very bad reputation in New Zealand.

10. There was another dispensary in front of the Clock Tower.
Ended up as my Barber Saloon and rest of the premises belonged to Bank of Ceylon.
British Council Library in Kandy was there for sometime.
This is where I used to meet my makeshift friends, everyday of my Kandy visit after retirement.
My Guess Work is this doctor had taken a big loan from the bank and he could not pay back. Banks are clever to catch gullible doctors but bank subsequently developed the property to good standard but no restaurant in the premise.

You know why?
Bank only wants work from its workers who invariably get duodenal ulcers.

I have treated many in my life.

Profit is their goal.
This is why bankers become drunkards.

CDL was the first to go.
His clinic became a mini shopping complex.
This was in the early 1980s when TVs were novelty. There was an TV antenna shop there. There was also a pharmacy, watch repair (man) shop and a few other tiny shops.
Pharmacy outlet is mandatory if there is no second generation doctor to take over the business.
Dispensary is a business by all means.
The Municipality depends on business taxes and I think the taxes are very high.

This is in addition to b-tax form that owner has to fill and  pay tax on behalf of each employee who is more than six months in service.

I never work in a place where this tax is not paid.
The nursing hands are never made permanent due to this reason.
I end up in courts or prison, years later.
This not an easy business.

I managed a hospital in Negambo belonged to another doctor under his supervision.
When joined in it had lot of arrears.
Settled everything in six months well before leaving to New Zealand.
I do not know its status now.

Dr. Nihal Karunatatne
It became a nice restaurant where I used to go for Kottu.
I am not sure there is a pharmacy there. I do not think Dr. Karunatatne violated this principle. There ought to be one which I could not locate in my brief visits.
It also dished out good Aappa or hoppers.

Dr. Nadeson
KPH hospital

Dr. Nadeson was my family doctor and he suddenly disappeared from Kandy.

Now come to a real story.
I met Dr. Nadeson years later.
He had come from UK.
I was back in Ceylon but without a job.
He offered me to run KPH.
I flatly refused but asked him what the problem was.
He said he needs his legal possession of the property.
I asked him are going to stay back.
He said NO.
I told him you looked after me as a kid.
I have the return the favour.
I do not need any money.
I told him my methods are bit crude and productive.
Would you give me free hand.
One day, I walked into KPH and encountered the said doctor.
I said, I am in charge of this case now, if he does not settle this within a month, nasty things may happen.
It was settled in no time.
That was the end of it and I said Good Bye to Dr. Nadeson and he went to UK happily.

But little bit is left.
After this he asked me to help in Dr.Rajendra's Samadara Dispensary.
I knew about this. In fact, I was interested in it after he left to UK.
He was a complicated guy with some matrimonial conflict in addition.
It was complicated by legal battles and Dr. Rajendra had died in England.
He of course did not have financial problems.
There was another doctor guy in Kandy who tried to possess this but he failed. Legally one cannot close a Medical Unit
Only the pharmacy functions now in the name of the Samadara Dispensary.

There is another medical outlet run by another guy.

Anohter story.
He was an obstetrician who used to do locum at Peradeniya Medical Faculty.
He was a very nasty guy.
He had a piece of land near the current Consultation Practice.
He tried to open his own unit but could not due to Influence of the other guy.

I think he sold that land  to a guy who was dealing with Computers. My interest in the city was computers but I never visited this joint.

There was a dispensary and a few of the legal outlets in front of the Maligawa belonging to the Temple.
They were evicted after the lease periods were over.
I do not know the current situation.

My lawyer late Mr. Arudusothy passed away and I stopped visiting this place.
The previous lady lawyer committed suicide why I do not know.
Mr. Arudusothy took over the cases.
After about 15 years I got my problem sorted out with the help of                          Mr. Arudusothy
This included a permanent injunction against Municipality of Kandy.

This is during JVP Bheeshanya and Thuggery.

I was told not to appear for my case by JVP sympathisers.
I took the risk and I kept my legal rights.

Another reason I hate JVP.

Long time ago with the help of JRJ I got rid of a Registrar of the Court and his ally the Judge was sent on compulsory retirement.

I can say this freely since I do not intend to visit Ceylon in this life.

Water Lilies

Posted on June 6, 2015 by asokaplus
Water Lilies

I am new to water lilies.
It is still in my learning curve.

I brought an expensive water lily from an open market with the plastic container 2 years ago.

My wife put it an attractive container and pruned it and it died a natural death.

After two years of perseverance I got its yam to sprout a leaf or two.

They disappeared tangled with algae mesh.

I kept on removing the algae and after six months, I managed to get the first flower blooming.

The beauty is that it opens up everyday till the next flower blooms.

Few things I learned over the last three years.

1. They need a lot of sunshine.

2. They are slow to domesticate.

3. If you meddle with them they go into long hibernation.

4. They yams are versatile probably to withstand dry spells hidden in mud.

5. They are vulnerable and sensitive.

This is my worry the vendors at temples (they think it is a commercial item) vandalize them for profit.

Nominal Buddhists now only think of Profits and Image but no conviction in precepts but indulge in Cheap Practice and Politics.

I met only one guy in Colombo who had studied this with conviction.

6. He told me that some varieties spread by seeds.

7. I am trying my best for the last three years to get a new sapling but failed.

8. The latest discovery is I have a lily that is over 15 years old but not yet had flowers.

9. It goes into periodic hibernation but sprouts again.

10 I must confess the love for lilies I acquired from my wife.

11. She brought the first young sapling.

12. Now to the discovery.
The first sapling is still in the original place but not in good condition (nutritionally deficient).
This has its own history.
The cement tank belongs to my mother in law who used it for mixing herbal medicines.
It is very heavy and I do not know how it was brought to the highest ground level it is stationed now.
It was not moved an inch from its orbit of influence, first from my mother in law and now from gravity.

I twisted her fingers and quietly made it to a fish tank.

My wife managed to get a tiny tortoise and it loved sun bathing on a little rock (it was nursed in one of my fish tanks and when it was gobbling my fish, it was transferred to the cement tank) placed inside the tank.

13. I did not know my father in law hated the tortoise and it disappeared from the tank when we were in Colombo for few days.
I never inquired about it.
The story was it escaped or eaten by crows.
I never believed it but figured out that it was released to the Mahaveli river and died an unnatural death.
It was too tiny to survive in the wild.
It was pity my father in law did not know the biology of it and it was a foreign species made stunted not by design but by (genetic manipulation) inbreeding.
We have eaten all our tortoises as a taste for illicit toddy (Kassipu) and even the Kandy lake has none now.

14. It was blessing in disguise sine they live long and looking after a tiny tortoise was not my choice either.

15. I had to give up fish keeping nearly 15 years to avoid pscine tuberculosis.

16. It took 2 years for me to diagnose it.
Nobody in Ceylon knew it then.
I believe it is endemic in inland fisheries, now which the government is hiding the facts.

17. Coming back to the fish tank, it was all taken over by my wife for the last two years and she had not put any fish in it.

18. The bottom line and the biological fact is that lilies need a lot of nutrition and that has to come from fish Urine.
But I have to feed the fish with high protein fish food for the lilies to bloom.
The this ecology is hard to reproduce in an artificial environment indoors.

That is why we have to protect our Will Pattu from human habitat and encroachment.

Will Pattu means (1000) thousands of little pools of water in the wet land.

Then only we will have tens of thousands of lilies blooming.
We are destroying every inch of our ecosystem in the name of shoddy development and Chinthanaya cronies.

The Golyas making Kassipu are still in evidence in these ‘will patulas’.

Deities and Prayers

Deities and Prayers

They say prayers are very well heard but never acted upon by the deities.

The simple fact is, those deities are impotent never omnipotent as it is believed
.

Come to plant life, they are multi-potent, only if you care them with respect and living space.
Long before I became a plant watcher to predict the inclement weather, I looked at the sky (cloud watching was a pastime of mine) and saw the clouds turning in opposite direction (this is what our yesteryear farmers did) and I did a quick overall of my rooftop garden expecting a rainy spell.
Five plants (mostly not local) succumbed during the dry spell.
One coffee plant,
one cocoa plant (again foreign species thanks to British),
two Karapincha (Thailand) with full of aroma and
one white sandalwood plant perished.
I always buy two specimens expecting this scenario.
If both specimens die, I won't buy them again.
One other reason is that the plant vendors in Ceylon in public auction only sell the dormant or diseased plants (heavily spayed with chemicals, to last the sale period).

Beware!

These plants are for the shade of my water plants
.
Even finch would build nests, if I do not (masterly inactivity on my part, let the weather takes it toll) visit them and let them go to wilderness.
My bio-indicator of the dry spell is the pipal or the Bo trees picked up from crow droppings.
They start dropping their leaves, and the roots go in search for scarce water.
Apart from my cascading arrangement of water plants other arrangement of the small piloted plot is, on one end there is simulated wet zone and on the other end there is dry zone.

The pipal plants occupy the dry zone.

In the beginning without any agricultural or academic training (I am a simple biologist) I started it as a simple roof top laboratory.
I drop a stem of pineapple or a pipal tree sapling picked up in from gutter in the Kandy city, in between pots of water plants.
To see how they stand the awful weather without watering but sparingly water them if I feel they are in their "end of the tether".
From plant experimenter to a plant lover, I have graduated in 15 years.
I must say, I have no financial interests and abhor selling plants.
The simple love for caring for them.
Now the caring for them comes not from me.

The tiny honey wild bee is the number one.
The dragon flies invest their genetic pool amongst the water plants.
The butterflies are plenty.
Except for ladybirds (haven't seen them for four decades).
I have a water plant which very rarely display (may be three years ago) its beautiful flower.
I found it a rightful place and today it had a single flower.
That excitement was pitched up by a single red dragon fly on the dried up sandalwood tree (which was transferred to the wet zone recently and is beginning to sprout young shoots).

I decided to take some pictures.
There were three water lilies with flowers.

I had another lily with a yellow flower (most likely a foregin variety) which did not bloom for 15 years. It sprouts from its yam when the time is right, otherwise goes into hibernation.

Mind you, I never wished for any of these to happen.
The plants sensed and coordinated their activities to interact with simple wild beings which we call insects and spray Baygon to kill them.

Who needs gods or deities to entertain?

Mind you I hate people who pluck flowers and lay on altars (for not seen or not to be seen gods) as offers for gods.
The gods have contributed nothing to their well being!

Defeating Devil Incarnation or Mara Parajaya

Defeating Devil Incarnation or Mara Parajaya

Please NOTE Ananda Maithriya Thera has mentioned only a little bit about MARA.

This is an attempt to give a summary but with my own relevant insinuations.

There are five other gods living with us in this world system. I forget there names. They fear and stay away from Mara who dominate them.

It took about six months for me to find. I think I found them from the Pali Dictionary. They are not my creations.

I have mentioned them in my book Buddhist Cosmology.

These six are outside of the four Devas, Saman, Vishnu, Kataragama and Patththini. Those four are the ones who depicted in the Kandy Perehara.

1. Nimana ?skilled creations

2. Nimanavattu

3. Nilagiri

I had no intention of writing about Mara but when I was working on a book about Buddhism, I wanted to investigate why Buddha had to toil for 6 years to attain Enlightenment.

In the beginning, I could not find a reference to this word in any one of my books. Being myself a scientific investigator, I do not give upFinally I found the word Mara in a Pali Dictionary and through cross references, I confirmed the 6 year period of hardship when Mara tried to dissuade or discourage the attempt before Enlightenment

That is a necessity and 7 days is the minimum to get rid of any doubt This the Right Way or Samma Ditti.

Before that I believed it was as 7 years.

After finishing this work, I completely forgot about Mara, being a pathologist, I wanted to get way from this dirty Mara job except for scientific investigation.

That was the beginning and I found a few verses in the Dhammapada, two of which I have reproduced below.

Now I understand it is banned for Theravada Monks to talk about Mara, the reason which I do not know. I think it is only relevant to monks meditating in the forest.

There is a YouTube presentation of a Buddhist monk who does talk about Mara.

He says 95% of the world is under influence of Mara and I have to agree with him without reservation.

This has some relevance to current conflict in the Middle East.

Mara actually is a God with all bad intentions. He is the "God Thug" and lives on hate.

He love all forms of war.

In this Kalpa only Buddha has defeated him or Mara.

Even little thing as killing a mosquito, Mara enjoys.

He does not want individuals to obtain higher skills or Jhana since during these higher states of mind his influence fades away. That is the very reason only a few meditators who can maintain this state up to 10 days. A few Rishis however can maintain and live long years. Rhisis have "Bhava Tanha" and can never attain Nibbhana.

In my understanding it is a waste of a human life on mundane stuff.

Mara has no influence on Vipassana Bhavana

Vipassana is difficult and needs deeper understanding of Dhamma.

I believe forest monks learn to slip to Vipassana Bhavana moment the Mara seems to influence them.

Vipassana and Samatha are two sides of the same coin.

One cannot be developed without the help of the other.

This is why I encourage Vipassana where the blood pressure fluctuation is minimal and stable.

One can sustain heart attacks or strokes during these "Trance Episodes".

When I returned from UK, I spent six months doing nothing and I was in Colombo most of the time. Then, it was difficult to find a good English Music CD in Kandy.

I was free after 1PM. and used to meet a lot of guys after retirement doing nothing and not having a particular hobby or pastime.

I used to give pep talks and used to have Q and A sessions.

I had a collection about 30 guys with minor unsolved problems having sent to one of my friends who was an excellent psychiatrist. He clears major psychiatric problems and sent me back saying just ignore.

This is the 40% category or the "Unknown Category" in pathology, even after in depth investigation one has a blind spot.

No diagnostic label.

Old guys like to have a diagnostic label attached for posterity.

This is the same category who falls prey to astrologer and sooth seekers.

I call this the "Manio Category".

But being myself a scientific investigator I delved in and found majority of them had gone to Meditations after retirement.

I said stop this nonsense and all of them recovered fully.

This gradually increased my pep talk clientele.

I am totally against any form of "Gossip" especially the political stuff like the that Ratana Saffron Guy Type political gossips.

I was of the misunderstanding that males do not carry tales.

I am proven wrong with classic examples.

They do especially after retirement and after somewhat of a heavy drink.

Some Become Viable YouTube doll outs.

This has nothing to do with ICBMS in the email chats

If any, they are technically advanced gossips. Everybody knows it before even the tale becoming a real gossip.

Going back to the original story, I was not even 40 then, and was heavily involved in reading and Linux at my leisure

I was always inside a bookshop and especially 50% reduction sales.

I would not have collected over 2000 books if not for this "bad habit".

Yes, it is a bad habit in Ceylon where 99% either do not read books or cannot read and understand an English Book.

Fake Information Factory is YouTube.

However, I am yet to find the book The (De) Capital by Carl Marx.

This time round Australia I did not buy any books.

When in Ceylon by accident I read a Sinhala book (I am allergic to Sinhala Books) by Rerukane Chandawimale Thera

He was in Nawaloka Hospital with JRJ and I did not receive any blood report of him but loads from JRJ. I signed the last report of JRJ and I said, according to the blood chemistry this guy aught to be dead now and left by train to Kandy

Yes, by the time I reached Ragama white flags were up.

I did not go to see both when they were alive but desperately ill.

However, I heard one of my bosses (Dr. Drahaman)  of my Internship was admitted to hospital. He had a bad stroke and was desperately ill and was deeply unconscious.

I could not say Good Bye.

I do not interfere with Muslim traditions when it comes to death.

Yes, in this piece Mara Parajaya, a few of my cases were relevant.

The point of interest is Rev.Renukane Chandawimala has given very specific instructions to Monks, according to Thripitaka of the heart, brain and kidney problems one may encounter when one indulges in meditation in old age.

I practice "Metta Meditation".

It is the best antidote to *Mara Diviya Rajaya* influence.

Mara and Alavaka.
Maratirekam-abhiyujjhita sabbarattim

Ghorampanalavakamakkha-m-athaddhayakkham

Khantisudantavidhina jitava munindo

Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.

More than (even) Mara contending all night through,
Indeed, the fierce and obdurate yakkha alavaka,

Through forbearance, the well trained mind,
The Lord of Sages won.

Through that power the victory may  be yours.

The Elephant Girimekhala and Mara

Bahum sahassam-abhinimmita sayudham tam

Girimekhalam uditaghora sasenamaram

Danadidhammavidhina jitava munindo

Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.

With a thousand arms and created weapons that Girimekhala (Elephant) with Mara

Risen with fierceness together with his army,

Through righteous means, such as generosity,

The Lord of Sages won.

Through that power the victory may  be yours.

Devas or Gods

Sacam bhane na kujjheyya
Dajja appasinum pi vacito
Ehahi tihi thanehi
Gacche devana santike

Verse 224: One should speak the truth, one should not yield to anger, one should give when asked even if it is only a little
By means of these three, one may go to the world of the Devas.

The Story of the Question Raised by Thera Maha Moggallana

While residing at the Jetavana monastery, the Buddha uttered Verse 224 of Dhammapada, with reference to the question raised by Thera Maha Moggallana.

Once, Thera Maha Moggallana visited the deva world and found many devas living in luxurious mansions. He asked them for what good deed they were reborn in the deva world and they gave him different answers. One of them was reborn in the deva world not because he gave away much wealth in charity or because he had listened to the Dhamma, but just because he always spoke the truth. The second one was a female Deva who was reborn in the deva world because she did not get angry with her master and had no ill will towards him even though he often beat her and abused her. For keeping her temper and abandoning hatred she was reborn in the deva world. Then, there were others who were reborn in the deva world because they had offered little things like a stick of sugar cane, a fruit, or some vegetables to a Bhikkhu or to someone else.

On his return from the Deva world, Thera Maha Moggallana asked the Buddha whether it was possible to gain such great benefits by just speaking the truth, or by restraining one's actions, or by giving small amounts of such trifling things like fruits and vegetables. To him the Buddha answered, "My son, why do you ask? Have you not seen for yourself and heard what the Devas said? You should not have any doubt. Little deeds of merit surely lead one to the world of the Devas."

Then the Buddha spoke in verse as follows:
Verse 224: One should speak the truth, one should not yield to anger, one should give when asked even if it is only a little. By means of these three, one may go to the world of the Devas.

Gods and Humans

Gods and Humans
I am good in my mathematics and I could not count the 31 (4 of the Arupavatara without physical bodies need not have a world to manifest themselves, in other words Mind only beings) Gods, having referred to the Buddhist Dictionary of Reverend Nyanathiloka.

I have counted only 22 (6 in this world, 12 in fine material worlds and 4 in immaterial worlds) Gods in total.

I have 9 Gods not accounted for.

So if I add six (6 ) of the Hindu Gods in all six directions, I still get 3 more gods unaccounted for.

I think Buddhist monks are bad in mathematics.

That is not the point, I want to drive here.

Being born as a human is supreme.

Buddhas are born only in human worlds.

Hitler's are also born in this world.

We have both good and bad.

Buddha has often repeatedly said being born in a heavenly world is a waste of time and waste of good Kamma.

He also has stated those heavenly beings fall to lower realms when they die at the end and when the good Kamma expires.

So worshiping gods and trying to become a god is waste of human energy.

It is high time we act as humans and save lives of human beings involved in futile War.

I am not going to take a side in this War.

War always has a beginning but it's end is often blurred.

Very rarely we get a chance to be born as humans and if we waste that human life in War, one is most likely to be dead and be born again in hell as a demon.

Humans can become demons as well as gods in this world.

Coming back to Buddhist Cosmology;

If I count OUT, 4 of the immaterial worlds, I get 18 gods  (18 worlds), in total.

Not worth being in one of them.

Be human!

Rarity of Humanoids

Human beings (manussa loka)
Rebirth as a human being is extraordinarily rare.
The assumption here is there are only 5 types of humanoids in only five planets.

Below is a reproduction of various types of beings in the universe or galaxies

The Thirty-one Planes of Existence
Scattered throughout the suttas are references to as many as thirty-one distinct "planes" or "realms" of existence into which beings can be reborn during their long wandering through samsara. These range from the extraordinarily grim and painful hell realms all the way up to the most exquisitely refined and blissful heaven realms. Existence in every realm is temporary; in Buddhist cosmology there is no eternal heaven or hell. Beings are born into a particular realm according to their past kamma. When they pass away, they take rebirth once again elsewhere according to the quality of their kamma: wholesome actions bring about a favorable rebirth, while unwholesome actions lead to an unfavorable one.
The realms of existence are customarily divided into three distinct "worlds" (loka), listed here in descending order of refinement:

The realms of existence are customarily divided into three distinct "worlds" (loka), listed here in descending order of refinement:

    1. The Immaterial World (arupa-loka)

Consists of four realms that are accessible to those who pass away while meditating in the formless jhanas.

    2. The Fine-Material World (rupa-loka)

Consists of sixteen realms whose inhabitants (the devas) experience extremely refined degrees of mental pleasure. These realms are accessible to those who have attained at least some level of jhana and who have thereby managed to (temporarily) suppress hatred and ill will. They are said to possess extremely refined bodies of pure light. The highest of these realms, the Pure Abodes, are accessible only to those who have attained to "non-returning," the third stage of Awakening. The Fine-Material World and the Immaterial World together constitute the "heavens" (sagga).

    3. The Sensuous World (kama-loka)

Consists of eleven realms in which experience — both pleasurable and not — is dominated by the five senses. Seven of these realms are favorable destinations, and include our own human realm as well as several realms occupied by devas.
The lowest realms are the four "bad" destinations, which include the animal and hell realms.

I. The Immaterial World (arupa-loka)
Realm Comments Cause of rebirth here
(31) Neither-perception-nor-non-perception (nevasaññanasaññayatanupaga deva)
(30) Nothingness (akiñcaññayatanupaga deva)
(29) Infinite Consciousness (viññanañcayatanupaga deva)
(28) Infinite Space (akasanañcayatanupaga deva)
The inhabitants of these realms are possessed entirely of mind.
Having no physical body, they are unable to hear Dhamma teachings.

II. The Fine-Material World (rupa-loka)
(27) Peerless devas (akanittha deva) These are the five Pure Abodes (suddhavasa), which are accessible only to non-returners (anagami) and arahants. Beings who become non-returners in other planes are reborn here, where they attain arahantship.

Among its inhabitants is Brahma Sahampati, who begs the Buddha to teach Dhamma to the world (
(26) Clear-sighted devas (sudassi deva)
(25) Beautiful devas (sudassa deva)
(24) Untroubled devas (atappa deva)
(23) Devas not Falling Away (aviha deva)
(22) Unconscious beings (asaññasatta)
Only body is present; no mind.
(21) Very Fruitful devas (vehapphala deva)
Beings in these planes enjoy varying degrees of jhanic bliss.
(20) Devas of Refulgent Glory (subhakinna deva)
(19) Devas of Unbounded Glory (appamanasubha deva)
(18) Devas of Limited Glory (parittasubha deva)
(17) Devas of Streaming Radiance (abhassara deva)
(16) Devas of Unbounded Radiance (appamanabha deva)
(15) Devas of Limited Radiance (parittabha deva)
(14) Great Brahmas (Maha brahma)
One of this realm's most famous inhabitants is the Great Brahma, a deity whose delusion leads him to regard himself as the all-powerful, all-seeing creator of the universe
(13) Ministers of Brahma (brahma-purohita deva)
Beings in these planes enjoy varying degrees of jhanic bliss.
(12) Retinue of Brahma (brahma-parisajja deva)

III. The Sensuous World (kama-loka)

Happy Destinations (sugati)
(11) Devas Wielding Power over the Creation of Others (paranimmita-vasavatti deva)
These devas enjoy sense pleasures created by others for them.
Mara, the personification of delusion and desire, lives here.
(10) Devas Delighting in Creation (nimmanarati deva)
These devas delight in the sense objects of their own creation.
(9) Contented devas (tusita deva)
A realm of pure delight and gaiety.
Bodhisattas abide here prior to their final human birth.
This is where the bodhisatta Maitreya (Metteya), the next Buddha, is said to dwell.
(8) Yama devas (yama deva)
These devas live in the air, free of all difficulties.
(7) The Thirty-three Gods (tavatimsa deva)
Sakka, a devotee of the Buddha, presides over this realm.
Many devas dwelling here live in mansions in the air.
(6) Devas of the Four Great Kings (catumaharajika deva)
Home of the gandhabbas, the celestial musicians, and the yakkhas, tree spirits of varying degrees of ethical purity. The latter are analogous to the goblins, trolls, and fairies of Western fairy tales.

(5) Human beings (manussa loka)

Rebirth as a human being is extraordinarily rare.

It is also extraordinarily precious, as its unique balance of pleasure and pain facilitates the development of virtue and wisdom to the degree necessary to set one free from the entire cycle of rebirths.

The development of virtue and wisdom
The attainment of stream-entry (sotapatti) guarantees that all future rebirths will be in the human or higher realms.
States of Deprivation (apaya)
(4) Asuras (asura)
The demons — "titans" — that dwell here are engaged in relentless conflict with each other.
(3) Hungry Shades/Ghosts (peta loka)
Ghosts and unhappy spirits wander hopelessly about this realm, searching in vain for sensual fulfillment.
(2) Animals (tiracchana yoni)
This realm includes all the non-human forms of life that are visible to us under ordinary circumstances: animals, insects, fish, birds, worms, etc.
(1) Hell (niraya)
These are realms of unimaginable suffering and anguish.
Should not be confused with the eternal hell found in other religious traditions, since one's time here is — as it is in every realm — temporary.

Heaven

In Buddhist cosmology, the heaven realms are blissful abodes whose present inhabitants (the devas) gained rebirth there through the power of their past meritorious actions. Like all beings still caught in samsara, however, these deities eventually succumb to aging, illness, and death, and must eventually take rebirth in other realms — pleasant or otherwise — according to the quality and strength of their past kamma. The devas are not always especially knowledgeable or spiritually mature — in fact many are quite intoxicated by their sensual indulgences — and none are considered worthy of veneration or worship.
Nevertheless, the devas and their happy realms stand as important reminders to us both of the happy benefits that ensue from the performance of skillful and meritorious deeds and, finally, of the ultimate shortcomings of sensuality.

Drones and My Mosquito Theory of War (of Ukraine)

Drones and My Mosquito Theory of War (of Ukraine)

It is the female mosquito who feeds on blood and the male except assisting in procreation does nothing really in between.

Female Mosquitoes are likes Iranian drones that can fly about 2 miles a day to find a victim.

All what one has to do is to kill the female and leave males to die of sex hunger.

The only ploy Russia should apply is to  deplete the resupply of weapons (blood in the case of Mosquito Strategy) of mass destruction of America and the energy infrastructure of the Ukraine.

It becomes a walk over for Russia and unlike our, King Sri Rajasingha, one should not eat rice when it is hot but leave the balls of rice to cool down and gobble it fast and furiously.

So before the Ukrainians cook the next rice meal, they should finish the job.

I am not a War Monger but now it is in full swing (I have no control but to blog), I like to see the end with a Russian win.

My grudge with America is simply due to Bill Gate and Windows Operating System and in no way,   a  reflection on  Americans (mostly misguided).

Most of these Microsoft Americans are Indian migrants who went to the West looking for better pastures and there afterwards, fully supporting the development of a faulty Microsoft Operating System.

By the way, my first computer from America which I bought 30 years ago is booting Ubuntu 5.4 and I cannot configure it to access the Internet with Wireless connectivity.

Only Ethernet works with it.

I have pulled out the 80 feet long Ethernet wire long time ago and I have no compulsion to pull the wire again on the roof and allow it to the elements and thereby to eventual rot.

My Intel NUC is fully wireless and both keyboard and mouse which I bought recently  support it.

They are are working fine.

Indian after war is over must volunteer to help Russia to build a wireless network.

However, poor Polish boys should volunteer to be foot soldiers and sacrifice their life for a different country in a proxy war.

I am told Russians are very bad on drones.

They inadvertently hit wireless technology and radar stations.

All the wires are burned down in 24 hours of constant shelling and Ukrainians do not have TV or Facebook to listen to their president and the mad hatter.

I am very partial here and brave enough to support Russia and call the spade a spade.

I do not support Russia at all.
Just yesterday, I destroyed their Linux derivative ALT-Workstation in my old laptop.

Truth Hunters

 Jan 16, 2020

Old Piece Reproduced but I have highlighted few of the things that has already happened.
Truth Hunters

I was off the web for quite a long time, simply because all the web browsers except a few developed by Linux community are snooping on you even when you are dead.
I thought they were doing that when you fall asleep in front of your TV or Computer.
They save all the information surreptitiously obtained in a server farm for futuristic use and very soon the Artificial Intelligence will take hold of them and send you a drone laid with explosive material.
I think this happened in Iran and the end result was downing of a civilian plane.
This will be a huge impact on Amazon deliveries.

Now I fear boarding a plane managed by autopilot badly configured by Boeing.

I do not think even the Linux community can develop fail safe utilities.
They use Linux in space station to save money for NASA and the civilian airlines are slow to embrace Linux.

Near at home I went for Pizza treat (Thaipongol Holiday) and the guy at the counter could not place an order for nearly half an hour.
He had a problem with his computer and he was engrossed with troubleshooting the Microsoft utility in his terminal, ignoring the customers.
The manager came in but he was not of any help to manage the password crisis.
I politely told the guy hang the computer but go to the kitchen and get my order, instead (he abruptly obliged, surely won’t happen in a government institution, like water board, electricity board or Telecom).
Once I got the order in my hand I told the manager, it is high time you use SAMBA bind (back end) for the network and use Microsoft as front end (user).
Incidentally, our land phone was out (I take it as a blessing and no annoying gossip calls) for three days.
Thankfully Dialog line was on and I did not miss the CNN and BBC.
Mind you I do not watch any of the local TVs polluted with political messages, in between programs.

Now to Truth Hunters
1. Microsoft is on top of my list as Big Liars, stating that its software are robust.

They never will be and that is why they are using Linux in their Clouds.

2. Facebook is the next American Liar that they do not share Private Information with the government.

Now they have a scapegoat- security reasons for divulging information but they cannot prevent terrorist attacks.

I believe now terrorists use hand to hand information not cellphones until such time human beings become honest with themselves and to their fellow beings.

3. Twitter is the third in the line of liars and President Trump and Nancy Pellosi are on top of it.

4. To me the biggest liars are the religious priests (from Vatican to Khomeini in Iran) including Buddhist Political guys in Ceylon and Myanmar.
All religions promise something on next life and for me this life with a quick Pizza is all I need!

5. I have not found a politician who does not lie from Tony Blair (Iraq War) to Marayas of Ceylon.

There are no Devas (Angels) to protect us from
airborne drones!
I think we must build bunkers or underground dwellings.

That is my new year message.

Dogs and Dementia Research In Heaven

Dogs and Dementia Research In Heaven

I have never been to Heaven and what is told here is only a hearsay and not a heresy.

I had some connection with the Heaven for a very short period of time when one of my dog friends ended up in heaven and that story for completeness sake is told, as an addendum elsewhere, when the current and the latest story is told for public consumption.

That dog is no more and has attained Nibbhana by stroke of luck and a very clever strategy. It is not divulged here but you have to read my book on dogs.

He has extinguished his life flame in the way of Buddhist Tradition.

My connection to Heaven is through email facility, which the Maha Brahma granted me while the dog who “Exited” was acting as the Maha Brahma’s Assistant.

I still have this connection and there was no email facility in Heaven, at that time and with my Linux connection, I established a Server in Heaven to assist Maha Brahama who is on eternal holiday.

Nobody can contact him direct when he is on holiday but emails can be forwarded for perusal whenever he decides to return.

Before my inadvertent contact and Establishment of Linux Server, Maha Brahma had to remember everything by simple rote memory and that was a gigantic task even in heavenly terms.

By the way, my interests are not on Heaven but on Hell where I was told by our Paraya Dog that manipulations of sentences in Hell are made by surreptitious mechanism by Ceylonese Lawyers who entered there by default Karma.

This is of course relating to the sentences to our politicians who invariably enter Hell.

The lawyers continue the habit of rearguard action for unfortunate politicians.

I have gone into to depth unlike our judges and to ease my work I have written a software in Linux to screen all applications made from Ceylon to both Heaven and Hell.

All the acts of vandalism caused by Lawyers currently in Ceylon and those Lawyers who entered Hell have being aborted by this software.

Apaya Server is very well maintained.

I am Acting Director of Apaya Server, until I kick the bucket from this existence. Maha Brahma himself requested me to take up the post before, he went on a long vacation.

The Establishment of this Server 24/7 Schedule made Maha Brahma to avail himself of leave.

The current agreement is, I will hold the Acting Capacity until I exist from here and I am only interested in meting out justice to our current politicians who are ace manipulators of our affairs. That post would fall vacant after my demise and a new guy would be elected at the discretion of Maha Braha himself.

I have no interest in continuing in that post, since the Server and the Software I created would last aeons and aeons, since it is made out of Linux Code.

Let me deal with the heaven in general.

All the Gods have a good time when they are there but descend to lower realms the moment they exist. They know it very well and that is why they want us to give them live wire as merits when we dish out Dhana when one of our guys or girls do exit from this planet earth.

I have no intention of letting lose any of my merits left.

Similarly, I have no intention of coming back to earth as a lowly animal.

I wish something better.

I wish to have the full exit, just like our Paraya Dog.

But there is a caveat here.

Our dog Zimba is supposed to be in heaven and I wish to see him at least once or twice because he was  such a good soul.

I lost my “temper tantrums” thanks to his demeanor while he was with us.

That is my entry point to this book about current dogs.

It is said that all dogs go to heaven and very few humans go there by default.

The dogs who go there also realize their plight when they do exit from heaven.

When the time is up it is also dicey for them too.

Nobody has any control our Rebirth Protocol which is automatic and instantaneous, even for Maha Brahma.

He has no say but to store the Karma capacity of all subjects of hell and heaven.

What Maha Brahma tries to accomplish is to allocate the remaining merits (Kusal) or demerits (Akusal) in accordance with Cause and Effect Principle and nothing more.

It is not a laborious task but a boring task.

Nevertheless, he enjoys the sequence of events and he lives longer than the other gods to see things in Evolution of the Rebirth Cycle.

In other words, he has more merits and he does not wish to extinguish his life flame as the boss of all gods.

This is where bit of rivalry happens in heaven but that is not the topic of this book.

He is interested in Dementia in humans.

There is no Dementia in Gods, they do remember everything big and small. All what Maha Brahma (no vetting at all) does in heaven is monitored by other Gods who wish to take his place, when he exits to a lower plane.

This has created some issues to Maha Brahma who wish some of his cohorts develop some form of Dementia so that he can get on with his activities without any snooping by other Gods.

Gossip is prevalent in heaven.

He is considering some form genetic manipulations in a few of his aspiring God candidates without any malice.

I have been working with children all my life except for a brief period in New Zealand where I had to deal with geriatric patients. For the first time, I saw lot of them with Dementia and had developed some interest in preventing dementia which is not a problem for the victims but to their non demented kith and kin.

I have to make some reference to Dhammapada here and it is relevant.

It rare to be born as a human and do not waste that instance with mundane affairs. That is where the “Exit” dog put a stamp of approval of Buddha’s Teaching.

This dog who was frequenting the Temple in Kandy had heard some wise sermons in his time as a dog.

Rest of the dogs including Pedigree dogs only realize their plight only when they have reached the mighty heaven.

My interest in Dementia is ongoing until, I succumb to it.
Story of The Three Dogs
If it is successful a portion of its proceeds would be donated to Independent Dementia Research on Dogs in this world of our own.

There are so many demented guys in American politics, I consider using them as my research data base after their retirement from politics (i.e; after two terms in office). Ceylonese politicians are excluded since they are in advanced stage of Dementia Documentosa Stage III for any benefit to their souls.

They are better off dead for a long rein in hell.

For the sake of their young (USA citizens) family members wishing to take up politics in the future, I am going to have a Secure Linux Database (SLD for short) in Hell.

Can Dogs go to heaven?

 Can Dogs go to heaven?
Some people all over the world have been excited in recent days about reports by news agencies worldwide -- including one from CNN -- declaring that Pope Francis apparently believes they can.
It turns out it's unclear what he believes about this.
A previous pope, Paul VI, had no doubts. "One day we will again see our animals in the eternity of Christ," Paul once told a boy grieving the loss of his pet.

That quote, from the pontiff who reigned from 1963 until his death in 1978, was inaccurately attributed to Francis.
The confusion may have begun when Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera referred to Paul's quote in a story that carried the headline, "The pope and animals: 'Heaven is open to all creatures.'"
The story itself does not indicate Francis said that.

Instead, it refers back to Paul VI.
The writer for the newspaper pointed to something Francis actually did say: "Sacred Scripture teaches us that the fulfillment of this marvelous plan cannot but involve everything that surrounds us and came from the heart and mind of God."
That remark, the writer suggested, "widened the hope of salvation" to animals and all of creation.
The headline on the article quoted Francis as saying, "Heaven is open to all creatures." But there's no sign Francis said that.
A search through the current Pope's writings and remarks showed no immediate sign that he has taken a clear position on the question.

Story of Three Ceylonese Dogs

Story of Three Ceylonese Dogs

This is a story I heard from a pedigree dog (not my dog).

The dogs were having a conference at late night.

The subject matter was current political campaign at night.

Pasting of campaign posters and removing of the common candidate's posters were their theme and topic.

None of the dogs were involved in plastering or removing the posters.

Their duties were to give guard and protection to the stooges of their masters who were doing the dirty work at night.

They were very much disturbed.

1. One dog's master was a supporter of the ruling party.

2. The other dog's master was a supporter was the common candidate.

3. The third dog was the master dog of an election monitor.

4. The fourth dog belongs to the Election Commissioner.

The problem was with the dog of the ruling party (let me take away the master part since he is inebriated to the spinal cord and was never seen on the street but in the bar from morning to night).

He had killed three dogs in a week while guarding the poster blasters.

One was a Muslim dog.

The other was a Catholic and the third was the Buddhist dog of New Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (pronounced Karumaya) killed by accident by his own master.

The discussion was related to what happened to them after death.

The consensus was that all of them were in heaven.

Unfortunately, in a matter of few days the three masters were also killed under mysterious circumstances.

Police are still investigating.

But according to the latest news all of them are at the gate of Apaya (hell) awaiting their sentences while their dogs are enjoying a welcome respite in heaven.

So now I will brief you with the final unofficial report of the dog conference.

1. The Muslim dog's merits that served him in heaven.
He used to go to the mosque with his master five times a day without failing.

His masters demerit that warranted him summons at Apaya Gate was as follows.
He was very very religious and went to the mosque sometime more than five times.

But he volunteered for the ISIS.

His quota was killing 100 infidels in 100 days.

He actually accomplished 99 but had only one to go.

His final task was to either kill himself or to kill another (making 101) with him and remain here for little while for a prayer.

But being religious he went to the mosque for a very long final prayer.

Unfortunately he was killed by a American Bomb.

2. The Catholic dog's merits that served him in heaven.

Just like the Muslim dog he too went to the Church every Sunday without any arrears.

What was his masters demerit that warranted him summons at Apaya Gate?

He missed and absconded few visits to the Church on Sundays to meet his extramarital flame.

3. The Buddhist dog's merits that served him in heaven.

He used to go with his master with a till (Pin Kate) to collect money for the tallest Buddha Statue in the world.

What was his masters demerit that warranted him summons at Apaya Gate?

He forget to put the last 7 to 10 zeros in his final treasurer's report.

Now the story does not end here.

It was a total mismatch, 3 dogs in heaven and 3 masters in hell.

The three gods already in heaven (previously Sri-Lankan Paraya dogs) finally made up their mind to rescue their masters.

Could you guess how they accomplished this task without the help of “American Drones”?

You have to wait till the Election results are declared.

The Election commissioner has given me a warning that even a small yarn or a little spin by a spin doctor that might effect the final result is a punishable offense in this world.

The caveat is that candidates can yarn any length of fibs and fabrications, till cows come home, like Lanka Cyber News.

Can Dogs Go to Heaven?
Can Dogs Go to Heaven?

The answer to that question is very simple.

But there is a caveat.

If the dog is Hindu or Buddhist by descent there is no problem.

Most of them go to heaven (if the master is not a Sri--Lanka politicians with ministerial posts who deal with heroin, Kassipu or other major vices, they go to hell with them) by default, especially if it is a Paraya (stray) dog.

But if the dog is Catholic, it has to wait till the present pontiff re-defines humanely the plight of dogs according to the scriptures and interpretations made by predecessors.

But, I have a suggestion for the pontiff who visits us next year.
There is an easy solution without going into scriptures.

Please make all Catholic dogs of Sri-Lanka blessed and converted to Buddhist or Hindu at the time of their demise.

There is no harm they remain as Catholic, in their active life.

After all Catholics in Sri-Lanka need them for their security with B.B.B (until Bodu Bala Sena is proscribed) in action like a pack of rabid dogs.

What remains to be done for the dogs of Muslim descent of Sri-Lanka is a difficult preposition.
They cannot be converted to any other religion at the time of their demise.
It is sacrilegious!

I have a plausible strategy.

These dogs must be made a permanent member of one of the many branches (not Shia or Sunni sectors) of their political parties before their death.

Then at the time of the demise, there should be an affidavit to the effect that they switched allegiance to the ruling party.

By this subtle method blasphemy can be politically avoided and the religion can be safely bypassed (after all they are animals they need not have a religion).

After all, dead dogs are only valid to the ruling party for propaganda.

They are mortally scared of the living dogs, anyway.

That is why they unleash violence while preaching Avihinsa (non violence).

But if the dog belongs to an atheist, the owner should go to a psychologist and get his advice before writing his Will.

The question is why does an atheist needs a dog, if he or she is not fearing hell or heaven?

Perhaps, she / he may be fearing another atheist from another planet.

Or is he or she fearing all the religious guys and girls on this planet.

Sir, Bertram Russell had to flee from England to China in 1930s.

He feared England more than Hell and Heaven.

When he was in coma (down with double pneumonia) an obituary was published but he recovered to the displeasure of the saints.

He lived to 97 or 99 with no help from any religion.

That is amazing!

This is the debate they are having at present.

World View or Net of Views

World View or Net of Views
There are 62 views about  this world and other world systems that the mankind and other celestial beings have postulated.
Interestingly, there are 31 celestial beings described that is half of the doctrines mentioned.

What this mean is, in every celestial location, there are two groups one opposing the view and one supporting it.

So going to any of these celestial domains, one has to live in eternal conflict.

This is where I prefer to have no doctrine, at all, not even one concocted by me personally for my own consumption.

I personally prefer truncating this to 20.

Twenty is the arbitrary base I use to recognize, the biodiversity on a particular location.
This is the base 2 multiplied by log base 10, the minimum number of scientific observations, for my own roof top garden environment.

Any additional criteria do not add to the diversity of views.

Imagine each one of the 6 billion wants to create his her own ideology.
The Internet will come to a standstill.

So numbers do matter!

I must state that these ideas are created in the minds of recluse or meditators, which were never scientifically validated.

In other words mental opinions of some sort, may be illusions, may be delusions.

If I was given full authority, I would have scaled them down to four or five.

I keep the figure 20 to give a wider birth of respectable opinions and refutation.

Since, I have only attacked or disagreed with only one view, and that is also, The Church Dogma, it is a bounden duty for me to expose the 61 other views in existence in this world and beyond.

I do not belong to any view but as an enquirer I list those world views here, for completeness sake.

According to this system there are at least 31 types of beings including, humans, Gods, Brahmas and Maha Brahma.

By the way, our dog who left us, is in heaven, currently acting as the Acting Maha Brahma.

Maha Brahma is on an eternal leave counted in eons.

The whereabouts of him is unknown and the current predicament in America is solely due to his absence.

I have intimated our dog who is currently acting by an email not to get involved in US politics.

All these doctrines are based on speculation of the past and or the future of the self and the world systems.

18 speculations are based on the past experience whether one believes in rebirth or not.

44 are based on the future rendering of lives of beings innumerable in existence.

Not only mankind but there is adequate room for existence of aliens.

No mention of lower beings, demons and devils.

1. In summary there are 4 views about eternalism of the self and of the world.
These are based on remembering past lives.

2. Then there are 4 views about partial eternity.
Maha Brahma and other Brahmas reside in these worlds outside our system and are the owners of this philosophy.

The Church Dogma resides within these four with a creator like Hindu Maha Brahma.

3. Then there are 4 views about finite and infinity of the world systems.
I think rationalists of some kind fit in here, not Ceylonese rationalists.

4. Then there are 4 doctrines of endless equivocation.
That is only 16 so far.

5. There are 2 views about fortuitous origination.
These are the beings without body but mind only.
The absence of body makes them to proclaim these two doctrines.

6. Then there are 16 grounds for percipient existence of immortality making the total 34.

7. Then there are 8 grounds to non-percipient immortality of existence making the total 42.

8. Then there are 8 neither percipient or non-percipient entities making a total of 50.

9. Then there are 8 doctrines of annihilationism.
This is the denial of all other doctrines.

The total is 57 now.

10. The doctrine of Nibbana here and now are the last 5 of the doctrines, making the total 62.

These 5 are the Meditative experience of the goal Nibbhana.
1. Nibbhana with sensual spheres.
2. Contemplation in first Jhana.
3. Contemplation in the second Jhana.
4. Contemplation in the third Jhana.
5.Contemplation in the fourth Jhana.

There is no mention about the fifth Jhana.

Having gone through this list of 62, I have decided to remain here and now as a simple being, trying to avoid any insult by Coronavirus.

None of the above Gods or Brahmas are going to help me, except perhaps a mask and regular hand washing.

I was one who was obsessed with washing hands but for over 45 years, I could not achieve that goal in this world, including the West.

I have refereed an article in 2009, where British women were classified as the dirtiest of all.

Not males or guys!

Now I have substituted this protocol with a single glove in one hand with one in my front shirt pocket.

I now avoid politician's method of distance worship with both hands in air (greetings from a distance to the voter), by default fearing contamination of my glove from my non glove wearing hand.

What an evolution of habit in my life time.

The immune antidote is yet to be discovered and all energies in the world are towards that goal and the entire economy of the world is going to shrink and collapse.

I want China to collapse first paying the way for democratic means for the masses.

I think the Coranavirus might just as well do that in China, a drastic change to the regimental administration.

The correct term is modern slavery.

Kandy or Senkadagala-Willful Distortion of Our Heritage and Names

Kandy or Senkadagala-Willful Distortion of Our Heritage and Names

I was born an bread in Kandy.

My childhood doctors were Dr. Dharmasena. His clinic is where now the Buddhist Publication Society is located.
His contribution to Buddhism was enormous.

Later Dr. Nihal Karunatatne was my family doctor.
He did come from my college and never charged any fees from my father. His son who was a doctor I have taught in the Medical Facility.

His interest was racing not medicine.

Dr. Nihal Karunatatne was a dedicated Buddhist and his major contribution was the Book on Kandy City with beautiful photographs. I did not buy the book since, I have have visited all those places and had my own photographs.
My hobby except for sports was photography.
I have given up after digital cameras came into exitance.

He based his book from knowledge collected from Buddhist Monks
When I was a kid the Chief of Kandy Saranakkara Vihara was one of my paternal uncle's. I used to carry Dhana to the temple on regular basis. There was no attempt to convert me to a monk but one of my maternal side monk did try to convince me to become a monk.
I refused.
He was the Chief of Diwrum Bodiya in Ampitiya, Kandy, where Kings used to take oaths.
We did not possess any land in Kandy, mostly belonged to the Temple. From Kandy we were relocated to Ampitiya where my maternal grand parents bought property.
We were originally from Matale.
My guess was we were pushed as far back as Matale by the British.

We were persecuted by British due to Kandyan Uprising

When I went to UK, the very first thing I did was to go to British Museum.
There is a list of our relations killed recorded there for public consumption, a sort of subtle intimidation.
But we survived to visit there base in London
My cousin was in the same plane but I do not think he made a a name in England. I lost touch with him.
It was my mother's request that I went to the British Museum and once to the science museum with my wife when we got married. She worked for the British Council.

British of course doctored the history of Kandy and Kandy landscape
They changed the Kandy Lake and original lake was where now Borambara Ground is located.
The original Lake Road is behind the Wembly Theater.

Professor Anuradha Seneviratne has written excellent books on Kandy.
Peradeniya Botanical Garden in my opinion was a smaller garden during kings time.
I was a Graduate from Peradeniya and there is not a place I have not visited basically walked in Kandy from Teldeniya to Lewella to Ampitiya to Kataesla to Lewla to Manikhinna to Rajawatta to Mylapitiya.

I have not heard any of names recently revisited by a Buddhist monk on YouTube

It is based on names from literary exegesis and not not fact based. I have no inclination say anything on this.
Too, late too little achieved.

Besides I have written a Book on Ceylon and it based on prehistoric facts and survey records
I have looked at every inch of Kandy map to fight a case against Kandy Municipality.

I won the case and had a binding injunction where the Municipality workers could not visit my land under 48 hours notice even to read the electricity or or water bills

Municipality created by British and has enormous powers.
No lawyer wanted represent me. I fought the case single handed when JVP threatened to kill anybody who attended the Courts.
I dared them.
I could never obtain the membership of the D.S. Senanayake Library but I was regular member of the British Council Library and the American Foundation Library.
I won a General Knowledge Championship conducted by Asia Foundation beating all other kids from Kandy.
No wonder, I entered Medical Faculty on first attempt and now in Australia.
I have an eagle eye cannot let NPP/JVP affiliates who are willfully destroying the History of Kandy.

They are all Niragamikayo!

Some misguided monks are giving a helping the hand.
These guys neither were born nor lived in Kandy.
They all are outside visitors.

I was involved in a clinical Survey of Kaduganna as a medical student.

I have two books on Ceylon and Rivers of Ceylon.

I was particularly interested in the Mahaveli contour in and around Kandy city.
I used to go to the Elephant Bath on weekly basis, it is under water now..
I had the Surveyor General's big book and all the plans/maps of Kandy city up to 1952.
By the way, all the guys who were involved in Mahaveli Scheme were my batch mates. I used to visit all the sites, before and after the construction. Most of them have left us or left this country for good. They were not given permanent jobs after the completion of the project. They were hired hands and all of them had malaria within one year of leaving Mahaveli Project.
I was their doctor.
I formulated how to diagnose malaria using those records.
The clinical presentation was entirely different.
We developed chloroquine resistance in no time.
We cleared  Malaria from this country in 1968.

I donated the Surveyor general's big book to my best friend in Ceylon. He is a guy who travel all the places in Ceylon by foot from the last railway or bus terminal.

He is not a big talker but a real walker.

Please do not distort Kandy History to earn a fast buck.
These monks do not know how to read a map especially posted by Surveyor General.
