Tea and Cancer.

Tea and Cancer.

I am a Tea Addict!
Green Tea is more effective in cancer prevention.

Countries (China Included) in whom people drink Green Tea has low prevalence of cancer.
Black tea is also a candidate (one has to consume more of black Tea) but one has to drink more.

I promote "Heladive Tea" and I have no connection with them.

It has Green Tea and Peach Flavored (I love its taste) Tea in cartoons but the price has gone from Rs.45 to 60, recently.

I want this product to beat Coca Cola and become the Number one drink in the World.

Media has a big role!

Tea also has lot of other benefits.

Postscript;
I have one big reservation about "Tea Drinking off a Straw".
When one drink any beverage through a straw it bypasses the, tip of the tongue, lips and anterior of the mouth where there are abundance of various  taste buds.
The distribution of the taste buds are varied and different and one loses the meaning of taste when one drinks from a straw.
It stimulates the back of the throat where the distribution of taste buds are less and in diminishing intensity.
I often pour the contents of the cartoon into a cup and sip the tea which gives me a chance to better appreciate of the quality of the TEA.
So use a CUP instead of a STRAW.
This is something "Heladive TEA" should investigate.
That is why I give the "Essence of Heladive Tea" as a GIFT, to my friends who come from abroad rather than the Tea in a Cartoon.

Ukraine, Crimea and Lessons from Sri-Lanka

Ukraine, Crimea and Lessons from Sri-Lanka
Below is an extract to show how deeply divided the people of Ukraine are.

Orange Revolution-From WikipediaBy the time of the presidential election of 2010, Yushchenko and Tymoshenko — allies during the Orange Revolution — had become bitter enemies.
Tymoshenko ran for president against both Yushchenko and Viktor Yanukovych, creating a three-way race.

Yushchenko, whose popularity had plummeted, refused to close ranks and support Tymoshenko, thus dividing the anti-Yanukovych vote.

Many pro-Orange voters stayed home.
Yanukovych received 48% of the vote and Yushchenko less than 6%, an amount which, if thrown to Tymoshenko, who received 45%, would have prevented Yanukovych from gaining the presidency; since no candidate obtained an absolute majority in the first round of voting the two highest polling candidates contested in a run-off second ballot which Yanukovych won.

I do not think there is Unity in this country, which the interimm government is trying to portray.

So America, EU and Russia are trying to fish in troubled waters.
That is why I am inclined to state and think there are sane guys and girls in world politics.
They only want POWER and delivers very little after coming to power.

Ukraine, Crimea and Lessons from Sri-Lanka

It is sad to see what is happening in Ukraine.

There are lot of similarities to what happened in Sri-Lanka (over the past three decades) to what is emerging in Ukraine.

I hope it will not sink into that level of what we sank in the not so distant future.

1.We obtained independence from England in 1948 without any violence or freedom struggle and from that point onwards we embarked on a rapid downhill course.

Ukraine obtained its freedom, probably due to falling and failing Soviet Union.

There was no freedom struggle and people born after 1994 did not underestimated its true value and its own free choice.

2. We had to struggle to live soon after independence (British destroyed our base Rice agriculture for Tea and Coffee) due to food shortages.

USA stopped aid (never trust USA) and only poor CHINA helped us with Rubber-Rice agreement in 1954.

3. We trusted India in our foreign policy and in return they trained terrorist on their soil and still harboring them in parts of India.

They had the “big brother big bully” mentality.

Our nation had to suffer for over 35 years.

They send their foot soldiers in the name of PEACE to Sri-Lanka and in return the “Pavens” raped our women.

The achieved nothing in the process.

That was the reason for taking the life of the young Prime Minister by a suicide bomber.

In actual fact the plotters of PM assassination were released or pardoned due to political reason, recently.

That is to show how fragile the present day politics in India.

Due to its involvement in neighboring countries India lost its credibility and the status it had in the region.

It is happening now in Ukraine and “big brother big bully” mentality is reenacted there by Russia.

4. It was an uphill task to get them out of the country.

It was a comparatively easy and political task for Sri-Lanka but in Ukraine Russia is going to dig in deeply.

How they can solve this is open to question and USA and European Union will not be able to help Ukraine.

Russia knows this very well and that is why they waited till Ukraine politicians made blunder after blunder with European inciting.

5. We had to build a massive army to overcome our problem created by India and Terrorists.

Ukraine did the biggest blunder by de-commissioning nuclear capability.

Unfortunately, Ukraine forces cannot match “eye to eye” in an arm conflict.

UNO peace keepers that are sent to Africa from the time of CONGO Crisis is impotent and useless.

6. Banki Moon who comes to Sri-Lanka with the drop of a hat to help the “terrorist rump” but he is totally impotent in his capacity in Ukraine.

UNO is a wasteful organization.

All the odds are against Ukraine in spite of it signing pacts with Russia.

7. We had few friends in the religion, China, Pakistan and Russia and our cricketing connections were stronger than the foreign relations.

Ukraine has nobody, except perhaps Poland.

8. In spite of the war we got our economy running and food items were cheap and people did not over reacted to the ground situation like in Ukraine.

That was the biggest mistake Ukraine did, those who were born free after 1994 took to streets in a very disorganized street protest just like in Thailand.

Discipline and resolve are necessary ingredients and our people had it in the last decade of the war.

Unfortunately, current politicians are ruining our economy and food prices are going up faster than a rocket after the war.

Corruption, nepotism and lack of law and order are evident 5 years after the war and is rising in Sri-Lanka.

Unfortunately, that is the way the modern world behaves.

Why this is, I do not know but I think human race is SELFISH when in power.

Out of power they are disorganized.

That was probably what happened in the last 20 years in Ukraine.

We have not evolved a full proof political system and in my understanding there is no country in the “Free World” which is not corrupt or that will resist corrupt practices.

It is only in books and never in real practice.

In Ukraine they were exposing the corrupt leader and fast forwarded the remedy or ousting of him, and did not allow the natural forces and patience of the nation to bring the status core of the system to a new equilibrium.

That is my analysis of the politicians and politics in Kiev.

We are eagerly watching you and want to learn from your experience.

Tactics and Strategy are important and unfortunately our land do not have any at the moment to offer you.

Both Sri-Lanka and Ukraine need a good friend to guide us through this difficult period but there is nobody in the whole of the UNO, as at present.

We have to search and train them in our own lands and importing any from outside will lead us to a “Blind Ally”.

That is what America, Russia and European Union are waiting for.

Freedom Revisited (my book on Evolution of Sri-Lankan Freedom) is something Ukrainian should read.

We have have abused our freedom to the core and now we have Poli-Tricks instead of real politics.

Unfortunately, the entire world is lacking visionary politicians and most of the guys and girls (including) in foreign services are mediocre.
That is why individuals like Navi Pillai (all these guys and girls are interested in pay pack and the fringe benefits that go with it and has no idea in how to "shape world politics" at a time when information superhighway is open for all and not to a few powerful selected nations) thinks she is like "a big bully" and has no diplomatic ways and means to end a crisis.
They create crisis after crisis for their own survival of the rein in the post they hold onto like gold.

The Indian  diplomat abusing a domestic aid (in fact 21st century slavery) is a case in point how poor their obligations and training.
I believe nobody should go beyond three years in the same post including post of secretary of U.N.O.

They should be recycled into less important posts, if they do not show their mettle and clinical acumen in solving a given problem or problems.

I think they need lot of training and in depth understanding of history and geopolitics.

Below is a little glimpse of my latest book "Freedom Revisited".
Do not read it if you are a tech kid, enjoy the tech now and read it later when Kindle is available in this blessed land, which is very unlikely, with so much hype against all America, American / Americans.

Incidentally, all citizens want the dual citizenship, which is paradoxical paradox!

Glimpse of Freedom Revisited.

The Future Unpredictable

Unfortunately we have not reached this stage since there are enough legal barriers like 2/3rd (two third) majority etc;
We have to go behind a Bo Tree and Pray for Divine Intervention.
Unfortunately foreigners including Indians and Westerners can do sweet nothing since we are a Sovereign State and one has to leave sovereign bars (Gold) in front of the altar of Demo=Crazy.

Social media will make it a mockery of any personality becoming established since one incident like throwing eggs (in this country throwing rotten eggs is a pastime) at a neighbor after a few sniff of pot of grass, causing minimal damage to a neighbor's residence might flare up massive Internet instances that would effectively stop the Internet impotent in mid air, like an aircraft without fuel having a nose-dive.

Who might emerge as a celebrity in this period is anybody's guess.

Ending of the war towards the end of the decade was the highlight and many volumes would be written about it and me writing something on it, would be rejected like a resume that I may forward to the foreign office of ours, after retiring from the academic activities for re-entry into worthwhile service again.
The foreign office is filled up with ex-servicemen and edging any one of them will be near impossibility, once this book is published, anyway.

I think it would be easy for me to enter the off-gravity space on a space walk with a Chinese astronaut, in a Chinese built spacecraft, since my knowledge and skill in English would be useful for them to broadcast the event live, of a Sri-Lankan in space.

I think it would be advisable to live in space in my retirement while having a global view instead of a myopic view of the real cost of living of Sri-Lanka.

Most significant trend is money laundering, it looks like there is a parallel black currency.
How this operates I have not got a slightest of a hint or an idea.
My gut feeling is it is prevalent, each one scratches the back of another and nothing comes out of the closed system.
It is a mafia type of operation well oiled and well guarded without any guns.
I have reason to believe even the paper and electronic media are involved.

Once in you are in, there is no way out.

This period will produce artists who hide behind the technology.
A male singer would sing like a woman behind the tech-microphone (masking the real analogue voice) or a woman like a man.
This ambivalence will continue until youths of this decade decide to move away from the high tech industry (which is highly unlikely) and discover their true identity in a time scale on par with the technological hype.

What way the dress will change is also difficult to predict and rising cost will determine the outcome.
Youth will be hard pressed due to technology eating up the job market and also due to artificial adjustments made (reshaping of it indexes) to the stock market in action or once it is in a suspended state of collapse due to heavy borrowing.

It is the period of belt tightening and trying to float in a sinking economy.

Loss of identity of the work force is the inevitable result.

Tech kids will almost take over the non tech kids carrying cellphones and tablets.

Sports will try to catch up with the youth and focus its attention on dwindling interest on sports and sports personalities.
Olympics, football and baseball will be tech-events barring few exceptional sports personalities.

Media will lose its catchment base to social media.

There will be few professional media men / women taken over by the mediocre personalities.
All is not honky dory but media will have less and less impact.

There will be very few media men / women who will be engaged in investigative journalism.

The whole digital world will come to an almost incredible stalemate with news running faster than the actual events.
Newspapers and TV will have less and less impact to the emerging youth, carrying tablets and cellphones.
The easy accessibility of too much data on the web will kill interest in deciphering fact from fiction.
Science and mathematical skills may die a natural death and universities will function like a link to mass server dishing out enormous amount of data without proper filtering.
Everybody who is somebody will have a degree of some sort without job opportunity.
Experience and maturity will count less and less and people will expect the computer to find solution for even a simple problem.
Something like finding. how many fingers or digits one has, one may have to look in the web server, instead of looking at the real hands using the typeface.
Dependence on computers will make the human brain (more likely) to function, less and less, in a practical or analytical way, which automatically and easily will become bored by the routine and the video images.

There will be lot of video clips in the You Tube and the film industry will die a natural death, unless of course they embark on special effects like 3 D and simulations (earth quake, flying an air craft, space walk).
I am suggesting ideas for them to work on.

There is no real politics but there is ample poli-tricks.
I won't be surprised if even a referendum of some sort might come out.
Read this again,  even Mr.Putin has read this piece.
Certainly, it is not going to be consensus but deep polarization.

Conservative religion will die a natural death but extreme elements will hold sway.

There will be no environment for the biodiversity to be maintained, if the temperature goes above 40 degrees centigrade.
The bees will be the first to go with that the pollination (this is already happening).
The Australian open tennis tournament is showing us a preview of this scenario, with global leaders of today looking, the other way.

Discipline should come from Top Down

This is a comment I pushed through (they will never publish these things) a PHP front of a local paper on suicide.

Discipline should come from Top Down

Let me give few examples that were recorded in a 3 hour survey in my sphere of activity.

Time 1 PM.
Site Teller Machine
Two girls inside (which is irregular).
I was behind.
I waited for 5 minutes.
I wanted to get the queue to get longer.
My response abbreviated for public consumption.
To an old gentlemen (older than me) standing behind me.
I wish they brought (nana reddak genawan nagana yanna thibuna ne) a bathing trunk (so that I could have visualized their bare bony figure, if not their mental make up).
Th last word, they were simply SELFISH.
Blank is left here for one to add anymore conglomerations!

As they came out, I whispered into their ears, in English “get out of this place, without wasting time of others”.
No eye contact or no apologies from them.

Time 1.30 PM.
Super Market Queue

I looked for the shortest queue in the supermarket out of three outlets.

A not so respectable young, Buddhist monk with his “Gihi Golaya” came from behind; the monk curtly addressed the counter girl and pushed his Golaya in front of the queue and pushed over to the other side with heavy and disgusting composure.
I thank myself, I was not the one whose “Human Right” was violated.
I would have rudely refused him and said “please slow down before entering Heaven or Nirvana".

What the mighty rush, the monks have?

A priest with any other denomination would not have done this show of stupid superiority.
To douse my anger and to keep me entertained with curiosity, I watched every item that was billed in.
Presto!
There was a very expensive perfume bottle (not an incense cube) in the lot.
Even in Ten Meritorious Deeds for our Opaskika Mathawas, perfume is tabooed for one night when on Dasa Sil.
(Nachcha, Geetha, Vadhia, Vilupana, Dhassana, Mala, Ghannda, Vilupana was voltage / voltaging and violating inside, my head by now).
I watched the guy, in saffron cloth with a laptop in hand and soon images of me suturing episiotomy wounds (trauma to birth canal) went one by one in a flash like a MP3 video.
There would been lot worse porn in the hard disk than I have scene in real life, in my life time, in between the saffron cloth and the laptop enclosure, I figured out, in me, in a mesmerized stance, not in meditation (one tries to suppress by will all the sensual inputs and desires in Buddhist Meditation).
If it that was not enough, the third episode driven me into overdrive in superhighway.

Time 2.30 PM
Private Bus plying, in an "Ebi Gamana"

In the bus, I quietly reading a book “Clowns in the Left of me, Jokers in the Right by Ranil Senanayake, to wild away the time of one hour of “drive by bus” (just only 5 miles).
There was a little commotion in the bus.
The conductor was telling a woman dressed in Kandyan Sari, to step up and in, from the foot-board, for the third time and the bloody woman said, “I am a teacher”- that implied she has the right to violate rules in broad day light-and there were many school children in the bus.
I hit the roof in a moment of rare insanity.
I told the conductor “Putha Oya Moda Ganita Awawada Karannta Epa” and flipped the page back to where my reading was interrupted.
There was absolute sanity till we reached our destination and the driver revved up a bit and I had a quiet chat with the conductor and the driver and thank them profusely for bring me home safely.

I totally agree with Ranil Senanayake, there are Clowns and Jokers in this country.

I wish our Ranil an Rosi read this.

A child committing suicide in not a miracle but a natural thing which they see every moment of their living life, more often than me.
I do not want to be an octogenarian in this country.
I wish I kick the bucket sooner than late.
That is of course if I do not emigrate.

President Putin (P.P. product to be proud of)has delivered, that all Russians could be proud of

My comment about Mr. Putin and Russian politics has proven wrong.
There aren't any credible geo-politicians, left on this planet

We are going from crisis to crisis.

President Putin (P.P. product to be proud of)has delivered, that all Russians could be proud of
I watched “Sochi Olympics” with much more enthusiasm than watching Sir-Lankans playing cricket with Bangladesh and English getting a real drubbing in Test Cricket by Australians.

The C in cricket stands for Crime and Corruption and I have changed it to Wicket and W in Wicket stands for wickedness they handed over to mighty South African who played and burnt out for England, Kevin Peterson (P stands for Pride here), the not so nice guy in the dressing room (because he speaks his heart out unlike, the English who are born with two tongues- one tries to speak the truth, the other is secretly deceptive).

Before taking about Mr. Putin let me dispense the English and Australians.

Like the way they dealt with Kevin, English use the Terrorist Rump (the backside of English politics) -who did sweet nothing to Sri-Lankan Image-to their advantage and dump them (like Kevin) off when the going is BAD and Touch.

So before they went to Sochi, they were looking for holes (only found ARSxxxxx) in Russian Terrorist Rump and found nothing to find and ended up looking for toilet bowls and were balled out in Medal Table.

The BBC (they have an obsessive group of so called almost Nutty (sometimes Nutzie) group of journalists who are always unhappy even given the best of comforts) never portrayed the true “Russian Spirit”.

Unlike the British, the ordinary Russians are very sweet guys and girls.
They can bring the best out, given even the worst of comforts.

They looked after their stray dogs too.

They proved their mettle without any doubt in Sochi.

The Australians who are also petting terrorist rump (what is left of it) fared worse than English.

What has happened to their “Macho Image” in Cricket and Rugger?

They can say it is a desert and wild Continent and can wash their hands off.

But I am amazed.

To the Americans, my hat's off to the Olympians who adopted, so many puppies.
He is a guy who everyone should admire.

What has happened to “Puppy Sense” of British and Australians?

They must be thinking of quarantining the hypothetical Russian terrorist genes in their “Puppy Blood” before adopting them but they could adopt any terrorist with two legs, left our shores without any hesitation.

That is their wisdom in politics, of course.

Coming to Canada winning the Olympic Hockey (my favorite game being a hockey player of yesteryear (not ICE hockey) is creditable but their political brain is frozen when it comes to terrorists.

It is the breeding ground for the “Next Generation” of terrorists including money laundering and “Yuppie Type” guys and girls involved in “Cyber Cafe Crimes” (money is raised with illegal drugs coming from Mexico through Americas).

Those behind the Iron Curtain dealt a body blow to “Fanatic Muslim Terrorists” with and Iron Fist which Mrs Thatcher now in her grave could be proud of.

Not only that they topped the Medal Table too.

In the mean time all in the European Commission were busy splitting the Ukraine into Anarchy.
That is how the Europeans outside, the Greater Russia expanding their neo-colonialism.

I think Mr. Putin should put an end to this SAGA in Ukraine with real politics, now that the Sochi Olympics is over.

Microwave Cooking

Microwave Cooking

I have been waiting for a microwave safe plastic plate for over 15 years in this country.

It is now available in Sri-Lanka.

I have seen people reheating food wrapped in thin film which is very BAD.

Most of the microwave ovens have no clocks and set menu and time.

One should not buy them.

I used microwave (I was living in a very unhealthy locality) to kill bacteria at High Power (not for cooking but REHEATING) and ended up with B Vitamin Deficiency which was serious enough.

Since then I began to use my common sense.

Mind you, I have been using microwave from 1980s with no ill effects.
Only period I stooped using it was when I was recovering from the B Vitamin Deficiency.

Low Power cooking is the best way to "go about".

Counterfeiting Drugs

Below I reproduce an article for the greater good of the poor Patients

Counterfeiting Drugs

Even though, I do not write on medical topics now, this is an issue, I was involved for over 40 years but has not seen any improvement ofter the demise of late professor Senaka Bibile.

It has got worse over the past 20 years and I never by Indian Drugs for my consumption.
Even if the tender procedures look OK on paper by the time it is shipped from India over 40 to 50 are dud ones (counterfeiting is not the correct term) and that 50 good stuff is filtered and given to pharmacies in India in cut rate.
This happen in Sri-Lanka too.
Almost 50% from the SPC is filtered out and dud ones are introduced.
There is a Drug Mafia running parallel with illegal (heroin) and that is how almost 50% of the black currency is originated.
That is how the democracy works here and in India and perpetrators (because they are in the majority anyway) are protected by politicians.
Americans have woken up but it is too late for the poor patients.

How India's Drug Biz Can Compromise Your Pills‬‬‬‬

In the cutthroat business of generic drug manufacturing it’s the little things that can bolster a company’s bottom line—like fabricating data about quality instead of fully testing products. Some major drug plants in India that exported medications to the U.S., it seems, did just that.

Such shoddy practices can lead to medicine that does not perform as it should or, worse, causes harmful side effects. In recent years these kinds of incidents have prompted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to place bans on several prominent drug suppliers in India. To follow up, FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg is going to India this week to meet with its health minister and industry officials. India’s drug and food programs will be at the top of the agenda, according to the FDA. India is currently the second-biggest drug provider, after Canada, and the eighth-largest exporter of food products to the U.S.

The meeting comes shortly after the U.S. curbed imports at yet another plant belonging to Ranbaxy Laboratories, Ltd., India’s largest drug manufacturer and one of the largest U.S. suppliers. Last month the FDA banned a Ranbaxy plant from producing or distributing drug ingredients for the U.S. market; the firm was caught retesting materials to produce acceptable findings after they had failed the first time around. The company had neither investigated nor reported why the products failed initially, the FDA says.
Since 2008 the FDA has issued four bans against Ranbaxy plants.
At present, no Ranbaxy human drug products are being imported into the U.S.
The company has already pleaded guilty to federal drug safety violations as part of a $500-million settlement with the FDA, after a whistleblower from inside Ranbaxy came forward.
Separately, Ranbaxy has experienced other quality and control lapses, one of which allowed pieces of glass to get into its generic Lipitor tablets in 2012. Ranbaxy is not the only Indian company that has been cited for sending flawed products to the U.S. Wockhardt and RPG Life Sciences have also received FDA admonishments.

Some critics have blamed lackluster FDA inspection practices for the mishaps, noting that although the FDA inspects domestic plants every two years, it only inspects foreign plants about once every seven to 13 years. In fiscal 2009, for example, the FDA inspected 1,015 domestic establishments but only 424 in all foreign countries combined. FDA data indicates that in 2013 the agency performed 111 inspections at Indian drug facilities.

Simply ramping up the number of FDA inspections overseas would not solve the problem, however, says Roger Bate, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute who studies the drug market. More unannounced inspections in India, along with testing products these plants send to the U.S. would help, he says, but any watershed changes would need to be fueled by the Indian government. The power to inspect and shut down facilities rests with each state in India, and some states are more diligent than others, he says. He notes that empowering India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organization—equivalent to the FDA—to take action would help address the issue.

Commissioner Hamburg’s eight-day trip will apply needed pressure to the Indian government to crack down on the problem, Bate says. Hamburg is slated to take up food and drug safety issues during meetings with the CEOs of major drug and food producers and with India’s ministers for Commerce and Industry, Health and Family Welfare, and the drug controller general as well as state-level regulators.
She will also be meeting with World Health Organization officials and speaking at the World Spice Congress. India supplies nearly one quarter of the spices, oil and food colorings used in the U.S., but an FDA evaluation last fall found that some of the Indian spices were contaminated. Just one of many findings: almost 9 percent of the 1,057 spice shipments from India were laced with salmonella.

(For more data on what’s in your spices check out Graphic Science in the March edition of Scientific American.)

My Note of Discontent (NOD)

My Note of Discontent (NOD)
Sri -Lankan are very creative people but that creativity comes only after retirement when one sees that the grave stone or tomb is the final place of conquest!
This ultimate reality is also taxed; the Masters of this creation are British Tax Inspectors of Yesteryear.
British only had Police and Inspectors now we have Private Security in the Universities too.
We have lost everything including freedom but they cannot take our simple humour rather the satire (I thought satire is bit psychopathic) out of context.
Very soon humour will be taxed.
The academic Freedom in the University is also Taxed and Malabe is the Beginning.

Mr. O.M. Weerasooiya is a Retired Commissioner General of Inland Revenue and a Corporate Member of Sri Lanka Institute of taxation and former Treasurer of Netherlands Alumni Association of Lanka.
A personal note of somebody who is nobody in this Tax World:
Mr. O M Weerasooriya has done a wonderful job by writing this poem but there is something that we would like you to know.
A Developed country will collect 20 to 35% as taxes in this world.
A Developing country will collect 35 to 42.5% as taxes.

Today Sri Lanka collects 63% as taxes.
Every 100 rupees you earn 63 rupees will go back to the government as taxes.

This means Sri Lanka is heading for disaster like Zimbabwe (this is true- my own comment-We are heading that garden pathway rapidly in the name of development Who cares?) who collects a whopping 88% as taxes.
Support somebody who could change this at least to a developing level.
Read My Comment below and please add your comment, too.
Few lines would do.
The Tax Poem
At first I thought this was funny…then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end as that’s the punch line!
Tax his land, tax his bed,
Tax the table at which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Teach him taxes are the rule.

Tax his work, Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts Anyway!
Tax his pants, Tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirt,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his cigars, Tax his beers,
If he cries tax his tears.
Tax his car, Tax his gas,
Find other ways to tax his aRss (after the daily purge).
Tax all he has, then let him know
That you won’t be done, till he has no dough
When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till he’s good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he’s laid.
Put these words upon his tomb,
‘Taxes drove me to my doom…’

When he’s gone, do not relax,
Its time to ap ply the inheritance tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our Nation was one of the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle-class and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the hell happened?

Can you spell ‘Politicians’?
It is all PoliTricks Scientists (my creation for Oxford Dictionary-Coined for American Scientists who make mockery / distort facts and make them friction / out of real facts).
I hope this goes around SRI LANKA at least 100 times!!!!!
YOU can help it get there!!!!
GO AHEAD – - – be a SRI LANKAN !!!!!!!!!!
SEND IT AROUND EVERYWHERE for a change
Help make a difference.

Ayubowan, is Long Life.

If you live long you pay more TAX.
May he attain the Final Goal, the Nibbana in this life and not next life.
Then the next life we believe is spared.
Even then the TAX Inspector will follow him.
I will send a Note / Email to Maha Brahma to TAX the TAX man and send him to HELL.

I gather from reliable sources very soon SEX will be taxed through the purchase of condoms.

The sale person is required to ask the question why do by more than one.
Then if you say for safe sex, he / she will produce the TAX Form and if you do not pay or fill the form would be asked to pay an additional fine.

Please do not use condoms.

If you use them please cut the TIP off.

I mean the tip of the condom.

Why I do not use a Mobile

Why I do not use a Mobile.
Mind you I have a land phone.

Read this in tandem with attention deficit (new syndrome defined by me) below.
This is something I posted elsewhere.

I have 100 or more reasons why I do not have or use a cell phone.

I will list them as they come to my mind but not in any order of priority,
As an intern I hated all calls mobile included since it meant, a batch of new arrival of small kids who have arrived in absolutely appalling condition.
Some of them fitting due to low blood sugar nearing zero.
In fact I had 8 to 10 kids whose blood sugar and CSF sugar down to zero.
The government at that time told the public it was encephalitis and I proved them wrong without even my medical registration completed.
Then in 6 months later when I went to collect my own data they had disappeared mysteriously from, medical records.
Then what I did subsequently, I have to pen down on a latter date of my life nearing my death!
One thing was sure leave this messy health service and I decided to leave the Public Sector Health Service and I was glad I did that and if you read Dengue Dilemma elsewhere in my writings, one can easily guess it.
It has deteriorated in quality even though it has expanded in number.
  1. As a doctor I hated bad news on telephone.
We rarely hear good news when on duty.

  2. Later in life when cell phone came, I believed in CPP (Calling Party Pays) and flatly refused a cell phone.

  3. It is a public nuisance.

  4. It is a nuisance when the cell phone owner has switched it off when you really needed him /her.

  5. When you travel on a public transport one cannot have a snooze to drown the inconvenience with frequent interruptions.

  6. I love silence in public places.

  7. Even though, I don’t use it I have to foot the bill (kids telephone bills).

  8. No work get done in public officers.
They are busy answering their private calls of nature and it is more frequent than the real call of nature.

  9. It is cheaper to redirect a message by email that should end up as junk or gossip.

  10. We use it for gossip not for creative work

  11. It is private enemy number one when you own the bank or telephone company a small sum in arrears and the reminders by them cost you more than you actually own them.
I think you got the picture correct.
I think it is enough for today but I will add more on future date when I run short of a topic to write.

    Memory and Gadgets

(Attention Deficit Related to (Mundane gadgets like tablets)Technology Addiction.

Many years ago, I posted an article on the web regarding memory specially in reference to Buddhist Monks of yesteryear (not today´s TV acting MahaMewna Type) and all the points except my assertion on Mediation Practice (Focused attention on the presence) was copied by an Author of the Scientific American Publication and recently by another author.

This is one reason I thought of writing few books before my memory fails by default and old age.

It is rather loss of short term memory and now I have coined a fancy Medical Term.

Few years ago (I still do not take a note or reminder but devised a 24 hour simple protocol to enhance day to day activity) I noticed lapses in my memory and got activated.

1. Won´t use a telephone, but buy a cellphone when I go abroad and drop it into a bin in the airport (this is the biggest handicap and in the middle of your work one may give a call with a low priority-gossip related call).

Who Cares.

Thank god one can switch off the cell, then what is the use of a telephone if it is not doing it job, transfer a message.

I use my land phone at my discretion since I pay the bill.
Not even the Telecom (delay in payment) or the a bank officer can break that law and break into my freedom.
2. Won´t sit in front of the TV and watch web videos unless it is related to animals, especially elephants.

Baby elephant dead was trapped in a tree in this country.
There is a video of a elephant mum protecting its young baby from hyenas (we have to protect the young one's from political hyenas and some rabid monks in saffron cloth).

3. Live with Living things, the dog, fish, and plants (including water plants).
All three will die if I do not have some simple protocol, not so rigid but to remind me that there are other lives on this planet (that others things also do exist) in relation to me.

Fortunately fish can go on for 10 days without food.

If neglected any longer toxic algae will kill them.

A dog will die within three days, if there is no other care giver.

Believe it or not Dogs never use telephone even in an emergency, they only BARK.

My dog in particular will start barking for no reason when I am on the phone.
He wants me to stop talking quickly and he has not got a degree in economics but knows how to cut my telephone bill.
The garden will go to wilderness in no time.

All these little things one has to be mindful, however busy one is in day to day lives, even one has servants to look after these jobs.

They will never do them right in my experience.
4. Use the computer and the email productively.

5. Keep in touch with family and family friends in person.

When one sees a friend, just stop for a few minutes and greet them and have some empathy.
You may not see them again would be run over by a vehicle driven by a fast track lumpen with a cell phone in hand.
I am predicting now with Facebook and low priority web videos, the present young generation will hit a very low point, in their middle age with attention deficit and I am going to coin the Medical Term now, Attention Deficit Related to (Mundane gadgets like tablets) Technology Addiction (AD-R-TA- RTA stands for Road Traffic Accidents and some of these gadgets may trigger an accident on the road too).
