Warning-Peppermint OS-Revisited after a Long Time

Warning Peppermint cannot configure US Keyboard, especially the number pads and extra characters.
I could not sign up with my email within 24 hours.
Good Bye!

Yes I did install Peppermint OS on my NUC and it did not recognize my other two distributions, Emmabanus and Astra Linux of Russia.

Yes it is the Clamara Installer that format the EFI partition which does the damage.

I have to Install Astra Linux again.

Luckily I have not doing any critical work, nothing lost but my time.

It is Christmas and nothing planned for today.

Time well spent downloading all the Text Editors and Word Processors (not including Abiword and Libre Office) that are available which include Manuscript and Focus Writer and Calibra.

Long Time, No See, "my old favourite desktop distribution", I tested today.

It is not comprehensive but it looks like it is trying to attract Laptop users.

It configures our Wireless Internet effortlessly and it is a plus point.

Unlike Puppy Linux it has an attractive desktop experience without basic utilities like browser, office package BUT once internet is configured it lets you go to synaptic package manager and it immediately installed Abiword.

Abiword is my favourite works fine and on that reason alone, I may install if I had not installed Ubuntu 23.10 in my NUC.

Plus points are

1. It has Ubuntu Synaptic package manger.

2. It has Flat Pack connectivity with enormous resource pool.

3. It has Web Scan Pack which I have not tested.

Overall it has done a good job, but a guy who is new to Linux may find it, at a loss.

It has changed its name to PM OS.

My advice for Peppermint OS developers in UK (I believe) is for them to incorporate at least, the Intent Browser and Office Package.

By the way, it has OpenOffice to download as an alternative Office tool.

NOT Well done!
