Raj Somadeva Tom Pachayek - Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi

Raj Somadeva Tom Pachayek - Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi

Jararatne Pathiraarachchi states that Raj Somadeva's book is a Pacha Pothak or "Cheat Book of Ceylon History".

My investigation revealed that he gets bonus money from India.

I am on full onslaught on India and any who bum-suck an Indian or promote Indian interests including Anura Dissanayake who are under my vigorously scrutiny until my death.

I will certainly will not be born again in CEYLON and all my actions are during this life, so that nothing outstanding is left for my Next life.

I am ashamed to be born with these guys again in Ceylon with their descendants.

According to Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi Raj Somadeva was caught pants down

According to Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi Raj Somadeva was caught pants down

According to Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi, Raj Somadeva cannot read even 3 words out of over 60 ancient Hela Akuru.

Somadeva is a crook and he is distorting over history deliberately.

He is supposed to be an agent of Anura Dissanayake of Kelaniya, University.

Both have taken a monitory contribution from L.T.T.E. and Diaspora to change names and dates of our history.

He died not go to history that stretched to 8000 years or more.

Norway and Tamils have joined hands to distort our history.

If not for Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi who has done nearly half century of research and continue to do so not for monetary gain but to put our history into correct perspective.

This is the battle between true readers and those who want to distort our history.

We must support Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi and not Somadeva who has a Tamil origin and Tamil connection, to distort our history.

By the way, my Sinhala Edition of Debian is going to be erased.
It caused more confusion than discovery.

I would find another way to write a book in Sinhala.

I suppose I may have to fallback to Google.

60-VLLinux-60

After many tries I mange to find a live version of Vector Linux.
Install versions I downloaded year ago did not live up to the reputation it claimed then finding difficult to configure graphic cards and the lot.
I was thinking of writing something of all desktop versions active now but do not have a live version and want to include aLive and VL Linux but the things are moving fast and everybody now realizes of the live version (Zenwalk has only live version and that is almost one year old).

I could not find a live version of Salix.
Thanks guys and girls for thinking about this important product that we can use for promoting Linux globally without having an alliance to only one distribution.

My Motto is to have 100 in the same tradition as 100 fortune companies.
VL Linux has rectified most of its early deficiencies and now can claim its image as a versatile Linux distribution in one CD.
No Open office (K-iffice) a good starting point of convergence with other light weight categories.

KDE but it must produce a lighter version like LXDE.

In fact it has a lighter version which I downloaded today.
It is quite good,
Good work guys and girls

59-WattsOS-59

Another Light weight (LXDE) distribution which is fast to boot on old and new computers. It is based on Ubuntu and has a rich repository.
Download and enjoy.

58-ADLC-58

ADLC is a German Debian based distribution for security and rescue purposes,
It boots on both English and German,
Even if you boot on it has enough English terms to get you around without rebooting.
That was something I liked very much since I am in the process of testing them.
I could find much literature on it by it looks like Xfce or Flusbox (very unlikely) environment.
Boots fast and sleek but I did like the black background (saving ob RAM, though).

Overall good distribution.

57-ExtiX-57

57-ExtiX-57

Based on Paldo, pure, adaptive linux distribution has almost everything one needs in a DVD with only 1.1 GB.
It has Skype and Wine which are value added additions.
Boots fast and attractive.

It is for 64 bit Linux desktops and laptops.
Swedish in origin with English version and the installer is different to other distributions.

Good one to have if one is fed up of other distributions.

66-Fedora-56

Writing or avoiding writing something on Redhat or Fedora was not my intention.

I waited till I have scored, half a century (in short reviews) to write about Fedora.
It is a long story but I cut it short lest you get bored.

My entry into Linux started with Redhat 8.

Then I graduated to Redhat 9.
What was good about Redhat was it's book base.

Every time a new edition came, there was a plethora (pathological term for excessive congestion of blood) of books from little to big.
All those books were the only resources, I had and I never had a proper Linux Guru.
The plethora was a blessing in disguise to me.
Evey time I had a problem I could sort it out by reading a Redhat book.

Then they, the Redhat left me high and dry with the entry of Fedora.

I went up to Fedora 3 and I already had Mandrake installed in parallel with Redhat and decided to give a boot to Redhat and Fedora.

By then I have mastered Debian too (it took almost 6 months for me to come to term with it but it was worth the trouble) and booting Fedora and Redhat out was almost reflex action and automatic, with no regrets.
All the books were thrown to the attic.

Mandrake and Debian are well known for not having books written on them.
Debian, of course, because of its slow release cycles (of change) and the extensive online documentation (only a few access them for information) did not have to bother about the market forces but went on churning out (now over 42 CDs) package after package to boost the online community.

So I followed their progress to Lenny and when
Mandrake became Mandriva I was fed up again.

I was left high and dry again.
I knew there were many equally frustrated like me out there.

I only knew that people who go with the market forces will fall with the market forces and I looked for new avenues.

I found an ally, that was PCLinux-2007
(of course Knoppix and Puppy Linux were there for my comfort).
I knew and believed that the next innovation has come to town (also the Flash Drive boot Pendrive Linux).
What happened with Redhat and Mandrake is now the dead past.

I thank them both for their diversion from the original philosophy.
They have given me the freedom of choice, lest I get hooked to any one of them for life.

This time not by market forces but my own choice.

Recent stock market crisis brought on by the greed is a reminder that profit making is not the only goal in life.

The sustainability in the minds of the users, here, there and all over that matters is the golden rule.
Few rich people or a few powerful politicians do not make this world better or make it go forward.

The rich philosophy of course will take us there.

I have already downloaded over 200 Live Distributions.
Picking the fifty (50) or hundred
(100) is no mean task.
I have already 53 in the fold and
Fedora 13-54 (CD) is also among them.
I suppose that I have made amends with Fedora, the CD I downloaded few days ago is good for any occasion.

Mind you I download every possible Debian both live and install (12 out of the 40 odd series is with me).
Why I do not write anything on Debian is, it is the God Father of Linux, anybody who wants to master should try Debian.

Live Debian is one among many and writing only about Live CD does not do justice to Debian Community!

55-CalculateLinux-55

Calculate Linux that comes from Russia has several versions.

Xfce distribution is cool, sleek and beautiful.

Like Epidermic it has included all that is necessary for an ordinary installation.
Its heavier version has more utilities but I like the Xfce.

It is Genitoo based and has KDE as X-windows.
Unlike ALT Linux it has better English language support.

54-Epidemic-54

54-Epidemic-54

Epidemic is a Debian based distribution with KDE.
It is a Brazilian based distribution with support for English.
In its (heavy category) 1.7 GB it has incorporated lot of games, scientific and specially DVD editing and presentation packages.
Everything one needs in an installation is there.
It
something that you would like to have if you are not interested in adding utilities from the internet after installing.
Its installer is graphic intensive (easy for a newbie).

53-LinuxConsole-53

LinuxConsole-53

LinuxConsole that comes from France is one of the best Linux distribution for Multimedia.
It has several live CDS.
One for old computers with low memory with only 157 MiB.
One for Multimedia with 218 MiB which boots up fast and detects hardware and partitions well.
One Live Cd (2009).

Only difficulty I had was with downloading (it is fast).

The server abruptly terminates the downloading when the single is weak.

52-QIMO-2-52

52-QIMO-2-52

QIMO is one that stands out when Linux distribution dedicated for education is brought up for discussion.
It is attractive and kids love it.

Do we think when we upload or download?

Do we think when we upload or download?

This is the time of the year when messages fly across the web in millions of little pieces.

If my download (my payment subscription) is 56 bytes at least 4-6 bytes are taken by the header and we do not get 100% efficiency.

Up time is even worse.

I find only the twitter restricting its characters to 140 (out of 256 alphanumerical code) and the keyboard has about 36 keys to play with.

Pali has many and Sinhala has little less since our phonetics are as close as to the nature since human dialogue is as old as its existence and the English keyboard cannot accommodate our language characters used for phonetics with 36 keys.

My question is our intelligence restricted by our keyboard or touchpad for that matter?

Touchpad is very innovative and S.M.S may be fast in the character transfer in the web but does not fit into our analog way of life.

We cannot transfer our thinking and creativity over the web.

I saw one of my friend's grandson playing with an electronic "kitty" at a function where everybody was there and the kids were the ones. a vee bit neglected (adults were fully occupied and preoccupied) lot.

To my amazement the kid's use of the binocular vision was affected by the little electronic "kitty".

I did a bit of testing of his eyes (I have befriended him on earlier occasion) and after 20 minutes of testing I was not sure what was going on.

Is his eyesight defective?

Is the game too fast or difficult?

The kiddy could not figure out how to win.

He was so engrossed that I could not get a word out of his mouth.

The next morning we had early morning chat with the guys of my age who had not returned to their bases. This was a rare occasion I decided to stay back to attend the next day's function (many others did not).

One grandad told me that his grandchild had his earphones fixed to his ears from Colombo to Matara and never bothered to listen to anything outside let alone a bird's song.

I told him if his grandson becomes a doctor one day he want be able to hear a soft heart sounds or a crackles in the lung and get it fixed / (corrected) now, not before it is too late.

On a slightly more frightful context radiation from the cell phones might end up with an epidemic of soft brain tumours in a decade or so especially in our girls, and that would be covered up like coconut saga (disputed heart attacks) by the big powerful companies until they shift to another venture.

Eyes, Ears and Brain can be affected.

What next?

Fingers too with touchpad.

But none of these gadgets will help creative thinking.

All these gadgets when excessively used hamper children's creativity!

We cannot transfer our thinking and creativity over the web.

Only connectivity.

Thinking has to be done (fast too) before touching the pads or keys but most of these actions are reflex actions and nobody seems to be reflective in their approach.

Think at least once what the benefits the kid get (age appropriate games) out of the gadget and what hidden harmful effects are there before you buy it, including choking with the battery.

That is the point I am driving at in this short piece.

Going back to up-time and down-time we need to educate the users, what ever the material they transfer across the web make them very light (quality does not matter) as possible to get the maximum throughput (MP3 or 4 instead of the fully featured family video) so the friend who downloads it will benefit and bystander users will also have enough bandwidth for their work and a very fast internet for everybody.

Follow the trend of twitter which sends millions of messages across with only 140 characters.

In that sense this blogging is on the Gorilla (sized) side but
my intention is not to send a message but to make creative thinking possible even in this electronic age.

What we enjoy is analyzing the facts of the message.
That is the food for thought toady.

Not Cricket-Selections

I have faith in Gutsy Aravinda De Silva, if he takes the following points to consideration but I believe the ruins set in by the previous Chief Selector by his Political Wheeler Dealer (not cricket) selection of players to the National Team cannot be rectified for a decade and not less.

1. Fitness of the player to stand the rigors of the World Cup for the entire period (dashing and slowly wasting away-good example is Sanath)

2. Fielding Ability (nobody fits the cap for this characteristic now)

3. The neat fitting of the player to his role (the position he plays, coordination of senior player with the junior player, not to run out the junior player-Dilshan type)

4. Shear Determination to win (Mahanama type-nobody now) and withstand and bear pain

5. Quiet Achiever (Gurusinghe Model)

6. Dasher in Crisis (nobody better than Aravinda himself)

7. Ability to fit anywhere from 1 to 6 and the ability to wicket keep (Kaluvtharana Model-nobody now) wickets

8.Supportive type to the chief wicket taker (Kumar Dharmasena type)

9. Kangavena Type but Accurate (We have two Dilhara and Malinga) in wickets helping pacies like in Perth

10 Gritty Smart Psychological Type (The Arjuna (typical) the Greatest- not as irresponsible like Kumar Sangakkara) take as much as ONE can give back and a proactive thinker

11. Good knowledge of the opposition players (weaknesses and strength-SWOT Analysis)

12. Who can have a little snooze at the time of a major crisis and when given the ball or bat delivers the goods-they are the match winners

Avoid Please if you may

1. We do not want a Chatterbox behind the stumps

2. Un-gentlemenly Type (depriving Shawag a century)

3. No cheating (Gilchrist type with extra gear) but do not be too gentlemanly like (if the umpire makes the mistake unless obvious let the Umpire bites the dust)

4. Political Stooges

5. Pure Sinhala Buddhist Type Team

6. No extroverts

7. No introverts

8. Whimpering type

9. Paper Tigers (journalists who seem to know better-Arm Chair Type)

10. Annunkeli Type ( who promote their celluloid image at the expense of National Team, and players)

11. Who thinks cricket is an individual game and do not want to share all the spoils

12. Pissa (idiots) type of cheering spectator/s or underworld Gangs who have their own agenda - do the act for the TV and the Gallery- You may call it the Dr.Mervin Type

I have decided to sleep during the entire tournament when Sri-Lankans bat but wake only when they field to see the balling and fielding and perhaps other teams better performance!

Trying Sinhala - Font සහල බස

 සහල බස

Trying Sinhala - Font සහල බස

I do not know how to find a "Combuwa" and "Eispilla" to write my name.

I give up.

Buy Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi a New Computer and Install Debian Trixie Gnome in Sinhala

If any guy or girl wants Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi to save his Old Sinhala Alphabet buy him a computer and Install Debian Trixie in Sinhala.

With his intelligence he will master both Sihala and English Alphabet.
Then he will start writing another Hela Wansa Kathawa instead of incorrect Mahavansa and Ramayanaya.

The current LibreOffice does not have all the fonts for LibreOffice to write a sentence.
I am trying to download some fonts.

Installing Debian in Sinhala is Piece of Cake

At least Google AI should know I am not a Chinese or Tamil.

Yes, installing Debian is Piece of Cake, thanks to our own Anuradha.
One has to know Linux basics and Sinhala vocabulary in computing.
Bit Greek to me but I got it going.
It is smooth since I had done the partition long before thinking of  installing in Sinhala.

Thank YOU, Debian Developer Guys and Girls for the wonderful job for Debian Trixie 13 series.

First Time my Life Two ARCH Distributions in my NUC

Yes, I got KINO and Latest BlueStar Linux in my NUC.
One problem Boot Menu is in Black unlike in Debian.
I would sort it out.
Gnome is bit clumsy with big icons.

But Plasma is extremely beautiful.

Now I have two instances of Cutefish Desktop which elegant and beautiful.

It is irritating thath Chinese and Tamils fonts are appearing I decided to Install Debian in full Sinhala and Ceylon as the Time Zone.
We are getting some Ceylonese come here for sports tournaments other than cricket, they are free to use my computer to send messages in Sinhala to Ceylon.

This instaarion is dedicated to Anuradha Ratnaweera who introduced Sinhala to Redhat Fedora way back in my migration to Linux and to Jayaratne Pathiraarachchi who cannot work on English on a computer.
Pathiraarachchi of course goes back to old alphabet of Ceylon to read Sel-Lipi or Stone edits.

The fonts are clean and rounded.
Not like the time we designed them.
I have America for our letters.
With lot of LTTE guys in UK, I did not want UK to be clicked.

With Gnome, KDE and Gnome Fallback only 2831 files.
It is installing smoothly but understanding Sinhala was very difficult but thankfully there was enough English support.
